There is no excuse for LISK after the funds they raised they should have had noob version client fully compiled and ready to sync once downloaded. On one hand I'm partly mad and frustrated that the Lisk launched went south. However, on the other, with a little time to think it all over, I'm partly glad that we all can learn from that launch and ensure that Waves doesn't find itself in the same spot. There are likely to be people sending a flood of data to the Waves servers in hopes of accomplishing something similar to what happened to Lisk. At least now we have a week to mitigate those risks and strengthen up the infrastructure in time before the Waves launch.

Can I try Waves now, where can I download the client?
they do have github release try that. I think they said the wallet after ico ends is browser based so it makes no difference what OS you are on. Just install lite wallet in your browser and good to go. This was smart and less point of failure.
50,000 people tried to connect to browser LISK wallet and it crashed really? so this is the reason? 50k people crashed it ? so they were targetting this token for what ? like 10 people ? Seriously ? After a 15k BTC ICO and all the hype they were not expecting people in the thousands to connect ? And to think they want to be on par with Ether and Bitcoin, when they can't provide a service for 50k people. A speculation at this point is that there were 3900 investors in Lisk who wanted to get their tokens. The rest of the 50 000 are believed to be part of some DDOS to the Lisk web wallets. The users who got there tokens early made a nice profit while the rest of us couldn't even login. https://t.co/xP14eSYKSv is a tweet from Tai Zen giving a shorter description of what happened during the Lisk launch. It's something that Waves will need to address so we avoid the same problems.

Make sure that the blockchain is all set and try again. I see that I have 100/303 confirmations to Polo. I sent some Lisk 20-30-ish minutes ago. like I say it is not showing on the block chain but 3k is gone from my web wallet therefore I can not try sending them again they have dissappeared into thin air. My Wallet : Block chain not showing after 1 hour: Web wallet just lost me 3k LISK be careful everyone I'm thinking that if the transaction has not broadcasted to the network, try using another wallet or restarting your local wallet. I tried again and again to send from the lisk web wallets, but the funds got put back time and time again. So, your funds are probably OK, just need to get the blockchain all synced up again, or try a different wallet.

Are those web-logins all on completely different blockchains or what. I sent 10 Lisk from login02.lisk.io to poloniex as a test, more than an hour later and stil 0 confirmations. Then I log in on login.lisk.io and it doesn't show the transaction anymore. I make a new transaction to poliniex, 2 Lisk this time, and again after half an hour still 0 confirmations. When right now I log in on login02.lisk.io it shows me the 10 Lisk transaction with 0 confirmations, and when I log in on login.lisk.io I only see the 2 Lisk transaction (with 0 confirmations). On login01.lisk.io I don't see any transaction at all. I was logged in at both login02.lisk and login.lisk and made a transaction. The balances where not showing the same, it was as if they where independent. I made another transfer atempt, but after 20 minutes the balance was restored again. So things are still pretty borked with the web wallets. Blockchain clogging up? 0.1 Lisk is too small a fee right now?

Lessons learned from Lisk:
- Have clusters for the web wallet. Assume it will be attacked. - Have a windows wallet ready. - Have a docker image available with directions that work. - Have great DDoS protection
What measures are you taking to have smooth launch? Sold half my Lisk, ready for Waves.
I'll say that again. But not only have a Windows wallet, but rather have working and tested wallets for OSX, Windows, Linux. Additionally, please make sure that there are mirrors to host the software. There was apparently a docker image, but the software was unavailable throughout the whole night. Tried to grab it this morning, still no go. I do hope that the admins with Waves take notice of the problems that happened last night for the Lisk team, and we learn how to avoid the issues before they happen again.
