1281  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I stop looking at Bitcoin Price on: March 31, 2018, 09:28:04 AM
I just stop looking at bitcoin price. It hurts me actually, that's why I took this decision. I am holding few of BTC and I will not look at my wallets too for 2 months. I hope after 2 months when I will go to see bitcoin price, maybe I will scream happily. What about you guys?  Grin
I am doing the same thing, ever since the price started going down every time i look at it it makes me sad and ruins my whole day thinking about how much money i have lost, so the best thing to do is not look at it for a while and just forget about it for a month and tow maybe goon vacation and by that time probably the price will start going up again, there is no point in stressing out about the price because we have no control over how it changes we just gotta accept it.
1282  Economy / Speculation / Re: how to predict bitcoin in april on: March 26, 2018, 09:43:43 PM
with so much slanted news, blocking ads about bitcoin, whether in April bitcoin prices will get better and strengthen again Smiley
First lets make things clear, ads about bitcoin where never banned, bitcoin didn't need ads or din't have any ads to begin with to be banned, besides all the ads that were banned were ICO, exchanges and trading related ads, i think that what did happen last is going to exactly happen this year again, last year in the first 3 months of the year bitcoin went down from 1100$ to nearly 700$ and, and then in April it started seeing some improvements and only in May when we did see it actually having some noticeable growth, so i think that is exactly what is going to happen.
1283  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: March 26, 2018, 07:19:16 PM
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??
It is true that in the last decade we have seen the slow transition from the hard physical to the easy digital, not just in money but in all what we do, work entertainment order food, socializing, all thank to the wonders of the technologies our lives have and still getting better and better, but this transition has not been full yet, there are third world countries out there who still have yet to use credit cards and digital currency, there are still a good percentage of the world population who still does not fully really on digitization, but as time goes on and as the new generation starts growing up, we will get there, we will reach a point where the world becomes a big server where only digital money is used and no more physical currencies will exist.
1284  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOGLE hasn't banned BITCOIN advertising on: March 26, 2018, 06:08:10 PM
Here's what Google said:

https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/7648803

My first comment is that there's never been any BTC advertisement. Who would pay for it? The BTC's foundation? This board's webmaster? As there's no corporation, nor an individual owning BTC, there can't be any kind of advertising. The only ads I've ever seen were for lousy ICOs, shitcoins, trading and exchanges websites where you can make a deposit but not a withdrawal, trading consultants who screw you with the promise to show you how not to get screwed, and super safe crypto-wallets where your private keys are automatically sent to a smart angel in East Russia. Google wants to ban all that? I say thanks Google!

There wasn't any bitcoin related ads to being with so google could ban, bitcoin never needed advertisement, however i do get why they banned the other cryptocurrency related ads, ever since these ICOs started becoming popular all that i could see on Youtube on websites and everywhere where there is google ad sense is cryptocurrency related stuff and they have been driving me nuts, even though i am actually interested in those stuff, so imagine how it is going to be for a normal person.
1285  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: March 26, 2018, 05:56:33 PM
What are the driving factors for crytpocurrency valuation?

Scarcity? Utility? Use? Demand? Network? or am I off base already?
Probably the tow biggest factors that deive the price of a cryptocurrency are the supply and the concept or utility, if you are about to look into investing into a new cryptocurrency that is about to launch you should look for the reason why it was created, what are the problems in the cryptocurency market that this coin is targeting and what are its solution, what does this coin brings to the field, and with having a great concept people would invest in it and with a limited supply as time goes its price will start going up, hut like bitcoin.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rich people don’t gamble. on: March 26, 2018, 01:28:54 PM
Actually, the title of this post is an overstatement, but it helps you to get the idea. Rich people play fewer games of chance than poor people, and they risk a lower percentage of their income.

This article talks about it but only focused on the lottery, although I believe it can be applied to gambling in general:

https://edition.cnn.com/2013/12/18/opinion/lottery-poor-just-opinion/index.html

Why do you think this happens?

I suppose it is because people with a rich person’s mindset think mostly about buying assets with their money whereas people with a poor person’s mindset only think about spending their money, and the only way they can think of becoming wealthy is by hitting the jackpot.

I think that rich people not that they don't gamble they don't play specific games, they don't play normal online gambling games like dice or sports betting, because they go to real life casinos where they can actually interact with other people and drink some expensive wine and talk about business , the only reason why we see more poor or average people using online gambling and playing these luck games is because they don't have as much money to go to real casinos,
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Starting a Gambling Game on: March 26, 2018, 12:37:19 PM
Have you ever experienced like you wanted to gamble but you can't do anything about it then you started to think what you can do for the meantime because you are bored or something like that? I have tried gambling with my friends when we are bored like if a red car passes by you would win, something like not on the ordinary or the norm in gambling but there's an exchange of value that's why it's still called gambling. If someone tries to prank someone, then they are willing to pay for it. It's the simple joys that you try to innovate.

What kind of gambling games/routines do you have? Have you invented a game where you and your friends start?
I did have a lot of fun gambling experience when i was a kid, we used to have this game where we stack up a bunch of Pokemon cards on top of each other each player has to put tow and we take turns blowing on them, and who ever is able to flip them takes them all, but as time went on things started changing and we started growing up and our interest changed from simple thing like Pokemon cards to money.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does becoming a parent changes the gambler? on: March 26, 2018, 10:25:18 AM
This was the discussion topic we were having last night, a bunch of gambling friends and one of them an expecting dad. There were counter arguments that his child also would turn out a gambler like he is.

The arguments were that it is his in his gene and that'll pass on to his child, since every one in his family was a gambler.

The counter argument was that the child would make a logical decision and genes won't play any part in this.

Which brought us to another important question what if turns out a gambler would they both play together. Would he be comfortable?

Amid this he walked out and texted me he didn't wish to gamble anymore, so wanted your views on this.
I think having a child is a big step in life, and changes people a lot, because once they do they realize that they have responsibilities, a duty to be fulfilled to give that child the best they could give so he can grow up and be a good person, and gamblers of all people start losing their passion and their addiction for gambling because the money they go spending in the casino is best to be saved or given to that child.
1289  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Tracking down stolen Bitcoins on: March 26, 2018, 10:08:17 AM
There are a lot of stories of stolen bitcoins from hacked websites or fooled people.

I was wondering, since all transactions are in blockchain, is it technically possible to make blacklist of wallets where stolen funds where transferred (by claims of victims) to track transfers of those funds and report when the owner can be identified (for example when some goods where bought and delivery address is known)?

Or perhaps just block those blacklisted wallets and don't support them on the network (bitcoin) level?
Sure you can make a list of the addresses that have stolen your funds, but you have to know that bitcoin addresses are dynamite means they change after every transaction, so tracking the stolen funds is going to take a lot of work, plus what is the purpose of this list, it is not like you can do anything about it, the best thing you can do is ask why the funds got stolen in the first place and learn from that.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best altcoin for micro-transactions? on: March 25, 2018, 10:51:03 PM
Which, if any, of the alt cryptocurrencies is currently better at supporting very small transactions?

Thanks.

[Edit: I mean transactions that might sometimes need to be less than 54uBTC, because https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/2577]
Probably the best would either be dash or ripple, dash has a really fast transaction with practically unnoticeable fees, but it is not that popular so there are not that many investments involved into it which means it is not the best competitor when it comes to being the best for micro transactions, ripple however has fast transaction and very minimal fees, and it is starting to get very popular it is the third in terms of market cap so we will defiantly see some investments involved in accepting it as a payment method.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the governments ban all privacy cryptocurrencies ? on: March 25, 2018, 08:08:22 PM
I'm considering to buy and hold some privacy coins for long term. I read some articles and they said governments are taking harsh stances on privacy coins. Do you think they will ban all privacy cryptocurrencies by prohibiting exchanges to list those coins?
The whole reason why governments haven't accepted cryptocurrency yet is because of the anonymity that they are based on, it is true that cryptocurrencies protect your privacy and keeps your identity safe, but imagine people using this for the wrong purposes, like money laundering, you could have billions and billions of dollars of drug money, gun trafficking and all sorts of illegal acts's money being put into cryptocurrency and moved around like it was nothing, and this is one of the biggest issues that governments have with privacy coins, and that is why they are thinking of banning them.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hold or sell? help me on: March 25, 2018, 05:10:04 PM
Currently I own a lot of altcoin, I bought them at ico. My account is being downgraded several times. There are many people who say bitcoin will continue to decrease, so altcoin prices also decreased compared to USDT. So now, should I sell them and wait for the price to buy back? Give me advice  Sad Sad
The recent weeks have been rough on both bitcoin and altcoin market, a lot of coins have been in the red for weeks now and there is no signe of them increasing anytime soon, so until bitcoin starts going up again i don't think that altcoins are a good investment right now, i think that you should hold and wait that is the wisest thing to do, i personally have exchanged all the coins that i got from icos to bitcoin, because these altcoins their price doesn't move or go up as much as the bitcoin.
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you Invest in Great ICOs but Anonymous Team? on: March 25, 2018, 04:12:14 PM
Obviously, the term “Great ICO” is subjective, but let’s say that ICO has an excellent concept and product. They even have steady and growing stream of profit and revenue (and can be verified.) They also have big names and notable investors and experts supporting the project. However, the catch is that they are anonymous like the founder of Bitcoin. None in the public would be able to meet or see any of the team members. Would you still invest in this kind of ICO?
An ICO is always defined whether it is going to be successful by the concept of its project and the team that is behind it, so when investing into one you have to always look up for anything that isn't right so you could avoid getting scammed, because with all this money going into this new type of businesses it is bond to have people trying to trick others into somewhat of a scam, and having a team that isn't made of a bunch of random people who have no experience in the cryptocurrency not so ever, is a key to knowing whether to invest in this ICO or not, so if the team is unknown or anonymous than it is better to void them.
1294  Economy / Economics / Re: HODL mentality destroys the currency aspect of Bitcoin on: March 25, 2018, 03:06:52 PM
It seems like only a small fraction of bitcoins as well as other cryptocurrencies gets earned while the vast majority of the coins are bought. But when people buy coins, they obviously aim exclusively at selling them later at a higher price, which is what speculation basically consists in because it makes no economic sense to buy a cryptocurrency to spend it on goods when people can easily spend fiat instead. However, if the price goes down, people aren't going to spend their coins either. And whenever someone complains about prices going down, the only reply they receive is just to hold to their precious bitcoins, no matter what the price could or would be. I have yet to meet anyone telling these bag holders to spend their stashes on something useful.

Apparently, the HODL mentality kills the currency aspect of Bitcoin.
No doubt about that, holding is what this whole market is based on, and essentially it kills progression and development and slows investment into it and it is what made the prices really unstable, bitcoin was created to be spent as a currency but with this mentality it turned into more of an investments that people buy and save in hope of profit, but the more you think about it the more you realize that things happens for the best if people start selling it regularly there will be no constant demand on it and eventually it will affect its price.
1295  Economy / Economics / Re: Is fall of bitcoin from 16k$ good for bitcoin and alt-crypto? on: March 25, 2018, 11:17:30 AM
Within a year and half, bitcoin value soared from ~$1000 to the staggering $16000 dollars. Everywhere around the world, bitcoin became the buzzword. After touching 16000 USD value, bitcoin value faltered considerably. Today the value stands somewhere around 8500 USD to the 9000 USD range.  Many new-investors from many countries have almost lost their investment after this.
I think this price correction is good for the bitcoin and alt-crypto as well. Why? :
* Correction is way of setting up appropriate expectation. (what goes in up also come down)
* Bitcoin and crypto is not like your normal stock-market. Rather it is more volatile ans susceptible to market manipulations.
* People with heart for financial freedom will remain with bitcoin and or alt-crypto for sure. Gold diggers will vanish as  soon as party is over.
* People understood the value of crypto more seriously.

Bitcoin has still more potential to be explored. Whatever happened with bitcoin will make it stronger.

What do you think whether this fall in value of bitcoin is good for it or not?
The problem that bitcoin had, was it was going way to fast and this made it so popular that many people who have no idea not so ever about jumped into this industry in hope for profit, but the problem was that bitcoin was not yet ready for this massive flow of traffic, the network was not ready to accept this amount of transaction at onetime, and this has lead to transaction being stuck for days and miner fees hitting unbelievable values. so in the bottom end the fall that the value of bitcoin has witnessed works in our favor, because transactions now are fast and miner fees have never been lower, so until the scaling problem of bitcoin is seen through, it will be best if the price takes it one step at the time and not skyrocket like last year.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Will future paper money disappear? on: March 24, 2018, 12:56:49 PM
With the development of cryptocurrency, more and more places accept bitcoin. In the future, will paper money disappear, and the money that people earn will be given to you in encrypted form, and the purchase will be paid in encrypted form?
Please give your opinion.
Well most defiantly, that is something that is bound to happen someday, since the world is constantly developing and new technologies are being created every day, money will be converted into digital form and the physical money will be replaced enticingly by credit cards, i don't think that cryptocurrency might replace the money, because  using it is not in the favor of governments, and it eliminates the need for bank, and makes tracking transactions harder, so if they are going to replace paper money it will be with something that they create and have control over it, and not with some decentralized cryptocurrency .
1297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin is pretty easy on: March 23, 2018, 03:22:36 PM
Hello,

I am a new investor in Bitcoin and I can tell that trading Bitcoin is so much easier that trading Forex. I double my wallet in 3 months with swing trading! I bought Bitcoins between 6000 / 7400 and sold them at 11.500. Last days I bought Bitcoins between 7300 and 8100 and I still have them.
The important thing is to believe that bitcoin will continue to go up, like me, so you can find the good entry points.

I post Bitcoin analyzes on my twitter channel so take a look, I already have some good results from my start. I post also my results of my profitable EA forex robot.

https://twitter.com/christopheduh1

Good luck!

Chris
I agree bitcoin trading is a much easier and profitable than forex, whatever the price you are going to buy bitcoin at you will always be able to make profit from selling it because the price is constantly on the rise, but these recent three months have been really though and made trading bitcoin a bit hard since the price have been going back and forth, but i think this was a perfect opportunity for the real believers to buy as much as they can from bitcoin, because once it starts going up again there is not stopping it.
1298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without knowledge on: March 23, 2018, 12:23:54 PM
A lot of people do trading even if they don't know nothing about it and some people succeed on that but most of them failed.
One of the reason why I think they do that, is because of GREED which can result to a big loss for them.

Start with education, make a lot of research, do some practice trading online
and use it later on in real life. Don't rush to earn money because in trading its hard to do so.

Are you a trader in mind but scared inside?
Be more patient, develop your emotion and win in this market.
Trading is not that hard, it don't get it why people are so scared of getting into it even though it has a lot of profit involved into it, getting into trading does not have to be a complicated thing you don't need to have a degree in economics or have the mind set of a wall street broker, all you need to do is do a bit of research and get to know the basics of it and you are good to go, the skill is built mainly on experience and not on just theories and fancy talk about numbers.
1299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: finish college or keep playing bitcoin? on: March 23, 2018, 11:02:33 AM
Right now I love bitcoin from 2106 till now and currently I'm in college but by playing bitcoin I can make a lot of money what should I do? I prefer to play bitcoin instead of college. I also realize that bitcoin will not last forever therefore I want to take advantage when bitcoin still exists.
You said it yourself, bitcoin might not last forever and than what ? you will find yourself jobless and with no degree to apply in any position so why not get the best of both worlds, work on your collage degree and at the same time work on bitcoin, bitcoin does not take that much of your time to consider it a full time job so the wisest thing to do is to keep on studying and after graduation maybe think about it, at least that is what i am doing, plus sitting in front of your computer the whole day is very frustrating and will drive you crazy, believe me i say it from a personal experience.
1300  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what advice? on: March 22, 2018, 05:10:06 PM
i am new in trading . i want to start trading . what advice you should give me before i start in live trading?
The best advice that we could give is to always keep calm and be patient, a lot of mistakes that people make when they first start trading is as soon as they see the price going up they sell or the other way around, the crypto market is a volatile and unpredictable and it will always keep you on your toes, so you have be calm as a water and never panic, because one mistake and your whole money could go down the drain, so try to develop an over whole idea about trading before you jump straight to the action.
