1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who else have my kind of mindset for Bitcoin 2023 on: January 28, 2023, 07:46:28 PM

WHAT IS YOU CURRENT BTC MINDSET:
2023 is the year I found my confidence in bitcoin as I have not check the price of Bitcoin for the past 80 hours, since I am now fully into long term holding giving myself, a timeframe of 2-3 years before looking back on the price but what I will do is to accumulate more Bitcoin as chances present itself.

Who else have my kind of mindset let discussed welcome to the future Bitcoin holders!

I don't think I can do without checking the price of bitcoin. I don't know if it's an addiction or it is normal. Even when I am investing for a long term purpose I can't just live complete a day without checking bitcoin price.
Even if it is not for my investment, but for the general well being of the market I always care about the Bitcoin price and I check it as often as I have my mobile phone that is internet enabled.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin always shames social media experts. on: January 28, 2023, 07:39:42 PM
Bitcoin is proving to be highly unpredictable. So many experts do not get it right. Only a few of them gets to approximate in prediction. The nature of the crypto market has changed to large magnitude. When the industry is new, people could easily predict. But today, many factors are affecting such accurate prediction which includes trade volume, market cap, pump and dump, fud, whales etc.
So, if it will be difficult for bitcoin experts to get it right is it common social influencers that will get it right always?
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Approximately 384 Days until the next Bitcoin halving on: January 27, 2023, 04:43:56 PM
Since the last cycle was cut short abruptly and compared to previous cycles that we had was a tiny rise, I no longer thing the 4-year cycle is a solid trend at this point even though we may start seeing another cycle shape up in the future.
For now there are a lot of other events in the world that are affecting the global economy hence affecting bitcoin price which in my opinion are more important to watch than the halving.

What you said could happen after this halving we are expecting. But for now the wave is still pushing and this year halving has been preached more than other ones. That is why the pumping will not fail. The hype is high and everyone is expecting it.

1305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason why I will never help anyone to invest in crypto on: January 27, 2023, 03:52:08 PM
That's why I never give my relatives or friends any investment advice. Many people say we should share bitcoin with those around us, that's how we make bitcoin more popular as well as help others have a good life like us know about bitcoin. But as an investment, there is always a risk, just because we make a profit doesn't mean that others will also make a profit. Investing is a battle in which there will be winners and losers, even we ourselves are not sure that we are the winner, so recommending to others is like bringing disaster to the body.

This is a very thoughtful reply to the post. Investment in cryptocurrency is like a battle, many lose and many wins. Many atimes we lose while thinking that we win. So there is no guarantee and it is not something that we will introduce people and give then the confidence of winning.

To tell you how difficult it is here. Here is the only place someone will give you advice finish and tell you that he didn't give you advice, that you should do your own research. It is risky here

The truth is that Graham Potter also contribute to the problem of Chelsea,  a good coach should be able to manage the kind of player Chelsea has, atleast some level of good performance is supposed to be seen in the players. I think the strategies he uses as a coach is not working for the team. Chelsea already have players but lack a quality coach that can bring out best from the players .

I would agree with you on this. The coach also has a part to play(probably more)in the level of performance his team displays on the field of play.

Chelsea already has some of the finest players in the world and needs someone who is able and capable to see and bring out the potentials buried deep inside each player. Along with that, formulation of new strategies using the potentials of his players is also key and something the coach ought to consider.

No coach will be able to do great things when his defence and midfield is in shambles. You may think that Chelsea is signing players that they are supposed to be performing well. Ask yourself how many steady defenders are there apart from Silva. Also ask yourself how many great defensive midfielder has Chelsea since Kante is injures. If you will be fair, Potter has never gotten the best lines of defence and midfield to perform.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2023, 06:24:39 PM

No, I think Messi can still return to Barcelona to play for his childhood club before retiring there as the club legend.
Players returning to their so called childhood clubs is a bad idea because all those beautiful memories he left could be erased and we saw what happened with Cristiano. Maybe that Saudi Arabia deal is in the pipeline after all because his playing days are almost over and what better way of ending it by getting a fat pay check.

Well as far as i know, Messi did not really had to leave Barcelona at all. It was just the case, that Barcelona could not afford to pay Messi his extremely high salary. They have paid him around 550 M€ for a 5 year contract, that are 110 M€ per year, which is probably 5 times more than other world class players are earning. That was the reason why Barcelona has such extremely high debts now and is still in danger of going bankrupt.
Messi could have stayed back then but of course for a salary that would have only been a fraction of the old one. So it was not like he was forced to leave or something. He just wanted to continue to earn ridiculously high amounts of money and he could do that PSG.

I have already said it, the major concern of players is to continue to earn highly ridiculous amount of money. I first asked this question that if Messi loved Barcelona that much, why not take some pay cut.
The same thing happened to Ronaldo. When the bid from Saudi came, I told people that Ronaldo will go for the money but they said that Ronaldo will like to play only in Europe and possibly in the Champions league. But today we have seen where Ronaldo is.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 06:08:53 PM
Tomorrow Arsenal will play against Manchester City in the FA Cup match which of course this will be very interesting, because if Arsenal manage to beat Manchester City in this match then that is an extraordinary achievement. Because if Arsenal win this match then Arsenal have managed to beat two Manchesters in a row, and maybe that will be a historical record as well.
I hope that a winning result for Arsenal can happen in this match, because of course it will be the perfect result for Arsenal in this season and in this moment.

Arsenal may not be able to win Manchester City because Guardiola knows too well that he is loosing the Premier League title to Arsenal. I expect him to feature stronger legs in order to eliminate Arsenal from FA Cup.
If they lose out to Arsenal in Fa Cup, they may also lose out to Arsenal in the main league which will be very abnormal.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 26, 2023, 06:04:19 PM
The two clubs i have so much concerns for this season is Asernal and Barcelona, because both clubs have really improved in their performance this season, and what can stabd against their success is their meeting with stronger teams e.g Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the La liga and Asernal vs Manchester city in the premiere league, this are the two clubs that i see that will stop this trending young club from reaching their goal in this season.
But if Barcelona is able to beat or draw with real madrid and Asersnal record same result against man city that will be a break through for both clubs.
In terms of improvement or development, Arsenal did it more than Barcelona. But if Barcelona meets Real Madrid they have much chances of surviving than when Arsenal meets Manchester City. This is because Manchester City is very hot and even hotter than Real Madrid. Last season Real Madrid won the champions league but Manchester City was crowned the Champions League team of the Year.
The men of Barcelona are stronger and faster.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 24, 2023, 06:16:21 PM
The fact that Fulham can no longer be underestimated, because even though Fulham is still losing by a stronger team, but in reality, Fulham can provide tough resistance for the favorite teams. But when Fulham plays against a team that we can say has qualities that are not much different, then at this moment I'm sure Fulham can guarantee a good result whether it's a win or a draw.
Also for the next match in the English Premier League Fulham will play against Chelsea, and with the confidence as I said, then I'm sure Fulham will not lose in the next match against Chelsea.

I don't even understand why Fulham became a team to be feared in English Premier League. Their recent good form is just surprising to me. As it stands now, any team that wants to face Fulham must be prepared and ready for battle.
If Fulham can maintain this momentum, we will not be surprised to see them in the Europa this season. Everything is possible

I don't see such high-level players in Fulham's roster, but this year, they showed an excellent example of effort, pushing each team to a level.  If they get the position to go to the European cups in the premier league, they will gain a great reputation.  They also lost in the Tottenham game, but they tried well.  They are no longer as easy as they used to be.
thats something that is becoming common in the premier league. The teams that were so called small teams are now stepping up their game. Fulham is good example and they have really showed that even with little star players they can still play very well as a team and compete for a place in the top four. It will be very interesting to see fulham play European competition next season and am hoping they keep up the good form despite the loss to Tottenham.

That is becoming common truly. If you check out some average clubs in England they are no longer average clubs. They are either spoiling the winning of big clubs or projecting themselves. Clubs like Newcastle, Fulham, Brighton, Crystal palace and many of them are putting in much pressure to dis arrange the arrangement of the structure. I am expecting more wonders from these teams.
1312  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: January 22, 2023, 07:19:32 PM
The cost of living in my country is so high that we no longer complain about it anymore. We try to just survive. To keep our heads above water for the next 36days when we will take to the polls to vote out the bad leaders that have brought untold and unbearable hardship to the common man and woman while they take the wealth of the nation to abroad and stash it foreign bank accounts.

Can you take your time and compare the rate of living in our country to what is posted in the OP.
Before now we used to buy petrol at $0.22 but now there is hike we buy at $0.44 which is still cheaper than $2.1 that they buy. Everything is just relative, the inflation we see is relative and people pay huge task in their countries but in our countries we can escape task because of the weak system of tax enforcement.
No country is heaven

It's like it's been a while I followed this page or thread. I was surprised when Trossard was introduced today from Arsenal. I was like what really happened to Brighton.
It was then I discovered that it's been a while I was here.

Manchester united new guy Weghorst was honestly not in the Manchester United football mood to help the club. He is pushing me to make bad judgment of him

1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 06:43:29 PM
Today quite exciting match occurred between Arsenal and Manchester, the 3-2 victory further solidified Arsenal position at the top of the English league standings with 50 points, the appearance of The Gunners troops was indeed quite extraordinary despite getting great resistance from Manchester and I think Arsenal mentality has now shown winning mentality, Arsenal winning goal in the last minute was quite dramatic and fortunately for Arsenal the goal was legalized after having made Arsenal's fans stop breathing for a moment due to checking Var Grin.

I blame ETH for Manchester United loss. It was obvious that little Garnacho was supposed to be introduced to replace Anthony. This would make Garnacho to operate from left wing and Rashford from right wing and if possible sub Weghorst  for Elenga. This would still have mounted more pressure on Arsenal. Instead he decided to choke the defence with midfielders which gave Arsenal the opportunity to pressure the team more.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 21, 2023, 07:18:54 PM
I didn't expect any wonders in the match between Chelsea and Liverpool
I already know that both teams are not in their good form. Therefore I didn't expect them to score good goals. I knew the match would end in draw
A draw is probably the most fair result that could come from that game and that's what they got so, its cool although, it didn't help Chelsea very much as they get to hang at the 10th spot on the league table. It's just better than shooting.

Everton had yet another sad one and the protest from the fans keep intensifying. Its funny how they hope that the board be sacked. Perhaps its just Frank Lampard and I do feel for him. He's putting in his best but, its just not good enough and I can't blame the fans for wanting more out of the team they've got now. They need to secure some win and push out of the relegation zone.

That is true, a shared point is better than going home with a zero point. Chelsea being able to get a draw even when their new signing Felix is still serving a red card offense is a sign that Chelsea have started improving in their performance.

As for Frank Lampard I will suggest that he should honorably resign because the pressure in EPL this season is very high and the more he tries the more deeper he goes down.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 21, 2023, 06:29:12 PM
What a boring game at Liverpool - Chelsea. After only 3 minutes, Chelsea managed to score a goal, but it turned out to be offside. At that time I still thought that some goals were going to be scored. The final score of 0-0 hardly anyone could have predicted. Both teams really have nothing to do with this score, of course. Liverpool have long put the championship out of their minds, they are no longer title contenders and the same goes for Chelsea. Manchester City are lucky that they won the game last while they were still 0-2 behind at half-time. Tomorrow Arsenal will play against Manchester United. A very important game, United can use the connection even better with a win. The game in Manchester was won by Manchester.
I didn't expect any wonders in the match between Chelsea and Liverpool
I already know that both teams are not in their good form. Therefore I didn't expect them to score good goals. I knew the match would end in draw
But I didn't expect a goalless draw I was thinking about a 1-1 draw.
But then this meeting between Liverpool and Chelsea has proven that both teams are no longer title contenders for this season maybe they could turn a new leaf in the next season.
1318  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 20, 2023, 05:45:21 PM
I have a question for you.

Having someone put you in their ignore list and having someone distrusting you, which one is more damaging?

I guess it is distrusting, because it will reduce your trust score and affect your overall forum reputation. But ignoring someone doesn't have any public impact but personal impact. It could be you don't want to see the persons posts.
So, if trust list can be view, ignore list should also.

I have a different perspective on this. Firstly, trust lists are made public in order to prevent manipulation, as they have a significant impact on how the trust system functions overall. Whereas, as you mentioned, ignore lists only affect an individual's experience on the forum.

However, if ignore lists were made public, they would have a much greater detrimental and adverse effect on the individuals who are included on them. Not only would it potentially damage their reputation within the community, but it could also lead to the exclusion of such members from any marketing campaigns and job opportunities on the forum. The perception of being on an ignore list by a significant number of reputable community members could discourage managers from hiring such individuals.

Additionally, making ignore lists public would likely discourage individuals from expressing their opinions or participating in discussions, as they would fear being added to an ignore list and facing the associated consequences. Ultimately, this would likely lead to a less inclusive and less healthy community.

I read a good point from your posts. If ignore list is made public, some reputable members may convert it to be their armour of war and intimidation. When a member is in the ignore list of upto 10 members, that particular user may become unhireable by any manager. This cannot happen if everyone distrust a user. Unless they are given neg tags.
This forum arrangement is not perfect but it is cool manageable and and nice

If I had to distribute sMerits in accordance to a pre-set criteria based on Rank or else, then I’d probably stepdown from being a Merit Source.

I didn't reason it from this angle before. Like the idea will limit freedom and make merit source of a thing look like a regular job according to fillippone.  Also from Ratimov statement, I am surprised how people write codes to be making posts. Wi their posts be connected or readable to gain merits?
No wonder the last time I checked the generous user's thread you dropped deep down.
1320  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 19, 2023, 02:50:45 PM
They think you're wasting hours in front of the computer because they don't understand what you're doing. It's hard to explain to old people like your grandfathers and uncles to understand what Bitcoin is. To me that's like introducing a bird to someone who can't see.
I think you need to play drama with them, you don't need to be too honest with what you do, you need to try to explain something that is understandable even if you have to lie.

That is exactly what I do when I find myself in such a situation that I cannot express or explain crypto and how I make money from it to people. I will simply tell them that I write articles about bitcoin, I give investment advice and I also do trading and all these gives me money that sustains me.
Those three things are understandable to anyone who wishes to understand what I do.

I don't know if your problem is to make your own people understand that you do genuine job or you want to teach them.
