60% to chips. 30% to IMET. 10% + the Loan to deliver miners.  Bankruptcy costs money, and we thought if the market held we may have been able to pull through. The idea was to get clients something instead of leaving them with nothing.

Isn't that a somehow big amount for chips only? They are the cheapest component. You got a terrible deal on the chips imo!
1322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 07:20:08 PM
nobody has reported getting any unit up to this point (review units don't count).

What happened with the IMET money? Did you recover anything? If not then why?

The IMET proceedings are still on going. The priority was the class action not the IMET suit. If you only have X for legal, you spend X on the most immediate concern. When the class action has come to a resolve, the IMET proceedings will continue.

But I thought that the class action was the result of the IMET thing. Why didn't you start with IMET proceedings before the class action?

So you kept customer's money for how many months? Are you returning any interest on their money?

Actually we ran out of money in June. Josh took a loan from a friend to deliver the miners, some of the refund money came from that. In general we're broke, but we're still gonna try. Yes if possible we will try to include interest on their returns.

Why or how come did you ran out of money? Why not apply for bankruptcy?

iCEBREAKER please tell us more about the GN1 being a full custom chip so people can laugh at you even more. I am also willing to put some bitcoins on a bet, but I know that you are too much of a pussy to take it.
1327  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 21, 2014, 04:00:19 AM
OIC, you are just trolling and trying to make me think I'd forgotten my ASIC vocabulary.

KnC's first chip was standard cell.  HF's GN1 is full custom.  That's why it is so much faster than the competitions!

750 GH on a single chip.  Still an unbeaten record.   Cool

"Fastest" chip from the fastest mining company bankruptcy in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

How many bitcoins are you willing to bet on GN1 being full custom?
1328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: October 21, 2014, 02:32:00 AM
Hello all, I have been a bit sick today, so not before tomorrow I will give a big update.

What I tell right now, its a real company, whit real equipment. Got a Preproduction Titanium out of his box yesterday (heavy)
The CEO Marc Coumans knows a thing or two about the whole cryptocurancy and mining hardware. The Visited is a really positive experience.

Update..soon (I need to get better first..)

Sooo Zeta0S...what happened with them being a real company with real equipment?
1329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 02:12:07 AM
SP35/31/20 are all preorders because they use an untested chip and the specs are estimations.

It's the same chip as in SP30 so it can't be worse. Only better, but I got it now.

The SP10 was BTO because they built/tested a prototype and verified the specs before taking orders.

I'd disagree on this point in relation to the guide. The SP10 was using known chips, but it was sold with longer lead times than typical batch and preorders for future 'batches' far into the future. Those preorders are what was able to fund the next gen chip orders. It was sort of BTO, but BTO too far into the future to be considered batch.

Lol at "far into the future". All SP10s were sold with delivery in maximum 3 weeks. Even less from time to time. Care to share what was the lead time for the AM Prisma miners? I think it's over 2 weeks now and nobody has reported getting any unit up to this point (review units don't count).
1330  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty slowdown: Is this turning into a long-term trend? [Discussion Thread] on: October 21, 2014, 01:49:13 AM
You can't extrapolate what Bitfury is doing with their ASIC designs to any other manufacturer. They work on cheaper process nodes (larger die sizes) than other companies but their ASIC design is fully custom and much more efficient because of that. They're so far ahead of everyone else, it's scary. And they don't sell retail to home miners.

They worked with cheaper process nodes. They are working on their 28nm chip right now.
1331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 01:44:18 AM
It's only 3 weeks past the date they expected to publish the "fast ASIC" results but I'm sure the delay/silence can only be a good sign.

I know that you haven't missed Guy's reply about this, but I will share it with you one more time:

- Updated SP31, SP35 and SP20 spec will be published on Tuesday or Wednesday next week

Now let's keep this thread on topic and tell me what's the difference between AM's pre-orders and SP-Tech's ones and if they should be on par or not in dogie's guide.
1332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 01:23:42 AM
I agree with dogie on this.. AM was not really a pre order since they had chips in hand. AM just needed new boards and they had a holiday. SP is defently a pre order company...

Now scamalon being rated higher than AM is just silly though.

Please re-read my post. SP-Tech has chips in hand since August. What's the difference between AM and SP-Tech if they both have chips in hand and the product are already developed?

So roadstress, do you think Spondooliestech is actually going to meet their estimated specs this time?

Yes. Do you think that you will see some AM dividends this year?
1333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 12:55:58 AM
AM's preorders were batch products with a longer leadtime than usual due to a 9 day public holiday being in the middle. The Prismas already existed and were just being made in sufficient quantities. The SPTech preorders were based on chips which didn't exist yet to go into miners which hadn't been produced yet. As you saw, this meant that the final product came back at 75% hash rate and 30% higher power consumption. AND, the SPTech preorders were over a 3-4 month period, not 4 weeks.

You still don't get it. Or don't want to. What you said about SP-Tech preorders was available until August when the first units of SP30s shipped. Afterwards the product existed and was just being made in sufficient quantities. Since August there were no pre-orders. Only batch products with a lead time. We are past half October. That's over 2 months since the SP30s exist on the market. Am I wrong? Even now you can order the SP35 Novermber Batch 1. Where is the pre-order?
1334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: October 21, 2014, 12:14:00 AM
HF was the first full custom 28nm ASIC.  KnC used a shortcut.

That's why we ordered from them, if you can remember that far back.   Smiley

Hmm full custom you say? That's impossible! HF chip can't be a full custom chip. If it is the it must be the worst implementation ever!

Ok RS, if "full custom" is the wrong term please tell us the right one, because you know what I meant.   Wink

There are different type of making a chip. Most common ones are "full custom" and "standard cell". Bitfury has a full custom 55nm chip, all the rest are standard cell. Google is your friend my friend. Search and see the differences. HF chip must be a standard cell one, NOT full custom!
1335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Manufacturer Trustworthiness Guide [12th Sept] on: October 21, 2014, 12:10:05 AM
  • ASICMiner Preorders down from 'Yes' to 'Batch' (20 to 16) - Not considered full preorders as the Prisma was fully designed and just waiting to be produced in sufficient quantities.

Wait a minute. SP-Tech always had batches and they were "Mixed" and now they are "Yes" on the pre-order category. Care to explain? If you are unaware of the batches they are "first half of the month" and "second half of the month". I understand that there was a pre-order for SP30, but the SP30 was launched in August. Since then only batches were available to order.

They've been preorders for the vast majority of their sales from day 1. There's no way to get around the fact that all the risk is put on the customer, which can backfire [as with SP30s]. Even with compensation, customers got a very different product than they had ordered 3-4 months before. [This rating hasn't changed for months and months, and was an error when it was listed as batch.]

Ok, but please explain me the difference from SP-Tech pre-orders and AM's pre-orders. The way I see it is that since August the SP30 is a developed product just waiting to be produced in sufficient quantities. If I am wrong please enlighten me.

1338  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 20, 2014, 06:05:38 PM
It depends on each miner. I found out that the most efficient settings is to set min voltage 0.612 and max voltage 0.618(or 0.622). I have my miners set up to min 0.614 and max 0.618.

Not sure how you do it there on your SP10, but on my SP30 running FW 2.4.21 the UI does not accept any low voltage.. This is what the UI says, and the settings must be in the range to be accepted.

I was talking about SP10. The SP30 has totally different settings!
1339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: October 20, 2014, 12:07:56 PM
My question is what is considered "small" ? I know we can underclock the miner if thats what you're preferring to.

Basically, i'm wishing for an ability to set W/GHs target and the miner can auto adjust to reach that. I'm sure there would be limitation such as minimum voltage...etc.

Or you can propose a list of settings for several W/GHs target ... ?

EDIT:
Code:
AC2DC power=1256[1260], temp=0, leading zeroes=41

Is this reading accurate? I take that says 1256 W from AC (the wall)?

It depends on each miner. I found out that the most efficient settings is to set min voltage 0.612 and max voltage 0.618(or 0.622). I have my miners set up to min 0.614 and max 0.618.

Well there seems to be some rumbling in our moon-rocket.. .09 is definitely no longer the bottom.

I would suggest with the Prisma in full shipping, anyone who was waiting to buy back in has simply lost their chance.

AM shareholder right?
