1321  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-03-13 Bitcoin on Bloomberg TV on: March 13, 2013, 07:41:52 PM
Very awesome, positive segment.  It seemed the interviewer was more interested in actually learning about Bitcoin then trying to hurpderp discredit it offhand.
1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Downloading the bitcoin blockchain on AT&T’s mobile plan would cost $360 on: March 13, 2013, 07:30:31 PM
Also, copying the entire blockchain by hand would take the average person several centuries and they would never be able to catch-up.

- 10% news analysis

I think the term "analysis" is a bit generous tho

It is funny that he is complaining about not getting enough money but when people want to send him BTC he throws a different fit because "it doesn't count". Whaa whaa whaa

Another day above $45 with record liquidity.

Bitcoin looking oh-so solid these days.

Solid, really? Are you looking at the whole picture, or are you blinded by the charts?

"There is a potential for catastrophic consensus failure—a so-called 'hard fork',"

"We have to get as many people upgraded to 0.8 as possible, as fast as possible, and then go through a deliberate hard fork much earlier than we had planned."

Code:
"This sort of thing illustrates the dangers of Bitcoin and is perhaps one reason the developers tend to be more conservative about it than others"

Yes, because the numbers don't like.  It was a test of the community, and the community succeeded and pulled through.

Whatever I had at Gox to sell during the bug crisis, I just bought back with. I kept the fiat for a while as insurance in case we go down, but it looks like we're back on track towards $50. Could be wrong about this but I just see everything as so bullish, the market reacted astoundingly maturely to the whole bug thing. Up we go, I think.

I agree. I didn't that Bitcoin was so mature at this point that it would shrug off the whole incident so easily.  When things are so bullish that even I'M amazed, you know we're on the path to success.

Or little baby is growing up so nicely Grin

Over 6 mil now. Looks like bids are rising exponentially.

Pretty amazing.  I wonder how much of the "new" bids are people who tried to play in on the mini-crash and are now just hoping to buy back in at the price they sold.

Remember people, always hold your coinage!
1333  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 13, 2013, 12:18:30 PM
the action lately leads me to believe that there is a HUGE surge of USD coming into bitcoin ATM (that chart would seem to confirm that), price is resilient to bad news. feels nothing can stop us now!

I should start doing dca too... sell low, progressively buy higher and higher... good plan! Grin

Am I the only one who noticed that as soon as Adam started going bull the Bitcoin 0.7vs0.8 incident went down? It's a sign people! A SIGN!
1334  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 13, 2013, 03:04:08 AM

I have not bought with fiat since 3.5. However I have traded stuff for BTC since then.

Did you forget the part where you ran a feeder fund (several?) for Bitcoin Savings and Trust, and spent the better part of a year marketing, helping Pirateat40 pull off the biggest scam in Bitcoin to date?

Also litecoin at 75 cents, people are starting to understand why we use bitcoin as our testnet:)

Welcome back.

LTC: The official stamp of approval from Pirateat40 resellers everywhere!

Notice how LTC went down last night as BTC went down, then up as BTC went up. That's because LTC is only good to buy BTC.

I mean, I did help pump the market today and made 10BTC doing it, so thanks LTC.  I mean, you're markets so small that I could even manipulate it!
1336  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 13, 2013, 02:13:02 AM
who else is waiting on this slow ass sell wall to go away, before you buy?

I'll will be purchasing my normal weekly amount.

Lookin' for a few more clients, so let me know if you're interested!

For those interested, I do have access to some decent voice talent (both male/female).  So, if you want a commercial or voice-over, this is entirely possible.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congratulations on a successful 51% attack today everyone! on: March 12, 2013, 08:47:06 PM
Based on what you said, WiW, there is a 51% attack everytime a block is orphaned  Cheesy so dozens of time per month! lol

This was pretty much my first thought.

The OP might as well have said, "Guys, everything worked as it was supposed to! PANIC!"
