1321  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: please help me? on: September 26, 2023, 01:07:44 PM
Looking at the address provided by the OP, these funds were transferred out on Aug 29, 2023, 6:52 PM UTC but unfortunately there isn't enough information to work with...

And with Bitcoin being Pseudonymous and anonymous in nature, you can not track down a user using a Bitcoin address alone especially if the address hasn't been posted by a forum user here on BCT.

OP is this a deal gone wrong or something, whats happening?

@Op If the money is large enough, you can try reaching out to Binance Support and reporting the scam transaction to them to see if there is anything that could be done from their end, maybe restricting the user account (which I don't know how possible that can be), or monitoring the user closely and trying to figure out what really happened if it was a scam or a business gone wrong.

Seems this wallet was swept in one transaction and Total spent was 0.10327072BTC ~ 2,694.23USD

As for Binance stepping in, is it even possible for them to give a listening ear especially since this will be one-sided without the other party giving their side of the story on what transpired to defend themselves..?

1322  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the rise and popularity of cryptocurrencies be a vivid example? on: September 26, 2023, 12:16:41 PM
Many currencies lose value as a result of inflation. Many people believe that cryptocurrency can protect them from inflation.
Cryptocurrencies will actually do some damage to a country as all foreign exchange will be going through crypto and not the local currency which could be the recipient . But honestly speaking, tackling inflation isn't a one factor that tackles all scenario, a country has to stimulate trade or in some instances, the central bank will have to try and make cash scarce to try and bring inflation down artificially which is a quite complex process on its own.

Bitcoin puts a hard limit on the total number of coins that can ever be created. For example, as the growth of the money supply outpaces the growth of the bitcoin supply, the price of bitcoin will rise. Many other cryptocurrencies employ the same approach to limit supply and act as a protection against inflation. In terms of amount, the ASCII computer file specifies only 21 million bitcoins released. As a result of increased demand, the value will rise, possibly keeping up with the market and preventing inflation in the long run.
Considering the subject was in relation to a currency...Not sure if this is called inflation when you refer to Bitcoin and the effects of supply and demand, afaik to me this is mere volatility!
1323  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit expects to exit UK market on: September 26, 2023, 11:53:55 AM
If you can remember the regulation that Canada made in the beginning of this year or so, the exchanges that could not cope with the new regulation of a prohibition on the part of the CTP in respect of clients buying or depositing stable coins through crypto contracts without the prior written consent of the CSA all left Canada. OKX, Biannce and Bybit all left Canada at different time when they know that they can not comply.
Regulation proving to be a double-edged sword atm!!
One second we are all bullish with the coming of Bitcoin ETFs(regulated), then the next second regulation is breaking what crypto has built over the years...What do we really want?

And why are the affected users not voicing out their views on the harsh regulations at hand such that reputable exchanges are exiting their countries, are people forgetting what makes a government is the people of the country themselves and they have the power to make a change to bad laws ??

Perhaps we missed the memo that the citizens of Canada & the UK are okay with the regulations at hand  Roll Eyes

1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Trust RNGs (Random Number Generators) in Casinos? on: September 26, 2023, 10:52:58 AM

After going through a couple of threads on the Gambling Discussion topic I noticed how divided the views are on trusting the RNG and the fairness of most casinos in general. So I wanted to ask everyone - Do you trust the RNGs and why?
Only users that have managed to hit some big multipliers will say Random Number Generators are real, otherwise if you have never hit one after chasing to catch one for a longtime and never winning anything will keep you saying these generators are rigged.

But imo I know that casino games are a game of luck, and to win you need to keep playing to make your own luck...you honestly can't play one or two rounds and expect to catch a 1000X multiplier that easy.

Do You Trust RNGs (Random Number Generators) in Casinos?
Btw, is this RNG backed by probably fair when it comes to crypto casinos??

1326  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mixin Safe: A Convenient and Decentralized Multisig + MPC + Timelock solution on: September 25, 2023, 07:26:11 PM
Is the 200 million customers’ money? Are people serious about saving all this service?

That surprises me that people are using this Mixin Safe to store their cryptocurrencies and 200 million is not a small amount.
200 million gone, jeez the last couple of months has been rough on our crypto companies...

Talking of Mixin Safe, I want to believe this is an air-tight product especially since it's built around multisig and looking at the processes involved in getting to our coins...a hacker needs enough keys to be granted access i.e OWNER key/ MEMBERS key..

But seeing the discussion here alleging  Mixin Safe is safe, but why hasn't the mixin ecosystem adopted/integrated the multisig features all round to guarantee security?? Perhaps this is only for the end-users but inhouse its a different on this...

1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling game is not good and everyone should stay away from it on: September 25, 2023, 06:06:03 PM
They say too much of everything is bad, be it gambling, eating, you name it...which is why a limit to what we do is needed and this is called self-control or if you like risk management!

If you feel you don't have the self control, most gambling platforms have a self exclusion feature to help one stay away from the negative effects of gambling which isn't limited to gambling addiction, losing money, affecting relationships etcetera and it begins by identifying the problem, accepting it and working on it.

But the problem I see is people have huge ego's that they never want to be wrong or come out as a loser which is why these gambling problems come from, otherwise winners know when to stop!

1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A matter of family conflict regarding Bitcoin. on: September 25, 2023, 03:56:26 PM
Am not a marriage counselor of any sort but seeing conflict, husband, and wife all in one sentence..this  spells out communication breakdown, and for a marriage to work the foundation is built on it!

Btw reading through the article, am made to believe the wife wanted out of the marriage and  she was patiently waiting  for her man to f**kup which he did and  her wish became true...this has nothing to do with the crypto investment the husband lost!
And unfortunately, the article is equally poorly written as it has left out some valuable information leaving us to speculate on what happened, and from what I have got from the article.. this has kind of painted a picture of husband and wife living in  two seperate homes and a jealous husband that doesn't want to move on..otherwise this turned out o be some telenovela lol
1331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Psychology and tips on: September 25, 2023, 07:36:55 AM
Several valid points in the OP which I totally agree with, but another thing that tends to mess around with our psychology is a losing trade...

You know how you get to analyze your charts and pinpoint areas where you will be buying or selling, but trade goes against your A setup and think your strategy or analysis did not work and choose to jump on another strategy to try to catch some winners... well the problem isn't always about the strategy, sometimes external factors beyond our control like news come into play which affect a potential winning trade and turns it to a losing trade and should tell us we must accept that we shall not always win, losses are part of trading!

If a trader is mentally not strong, then he isn’t fit for the crypto market I guess.
Fake it till you make it  Roll Eyes

Otherwise, mechanical trading is the way to go to counter one's shortfalls of trading!!
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I learned something new from Bitcoin today on: September 25, 2023, 05:38:18 AM
I learned something new today. I started bitcoin trading with 100 $ I made 10$ from here and I lost 11$ gambling with 100$ now I don't call gambling bad because I don't understand and I don't have patience to play the game
You say you just started trading, have you invested the time to learn the skill itself, as trading without any is considered gambling no two ways about this. And one red flag for me is you saying you dont have the patience...news flash both gambling and trading require a lot of patience to succed in either of them.

Secondly, if you aren't hodl-ing and you say you traded to make a $10 profit, then this tells me you were leverage trading which is among the high risk kind of trading! Btw you made your first profit from trading, can you replicate this just to prove to yourself that you weren't gambling or using beginners luck.

and past I easily from bitcoin made 10$ profit now which one should i choose you say i know a man need bitcoins in future but still a man can be addicted to gambling and to all of you i want to say none of you should be addicted to anything and not to gambling and you are more Trade Bitcoin and see your future shine.
The answer is in the writing, between gambling and trading you found better luck with trading the go for trading.

Btw addiction isn't only in gambling , you can be addicted to trading if you want to make a quick profit entering at each candle move which exposes you to more losses.,hence secret to this game is patience.

1334  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 24, 2023, 02:12:42 PM
I'd be interested in remote working, but the economics field I've studied at university isn't in high demand for remote working, which often recruits IT workers and generally fields that require hands-on experience. As soon as I'm settled down, I'm considering taking up a data analysis course and finishing my master's degree in order to look for more opportunities abroad.
Staying without a job is one of the reasons I have been against courses that can allow you to survive on your own like engineering courses because business courses are very competitive and will require you to have lots of experience which many don't have today.

Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military.
With time things will be okay, hang in there buddy  Cool
1335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with your transactions. on: September 24, 2023, 06:43:23 AM
This is just a reminder to everyone in the forum from newbie to legendary, that we should be very careful and not be in a rush when we want to make bitcoin transaction, we should be patient enough to go through the bitcoin address that we are sending the money to, and to make sure that it is the right amount of bitcoin that we are sending, over and over again.
Such mistakes can only be made on a pro wallet that requires you to put in your own transaction fees and the alike, otherwise most of our basic wallets will actually tell you the approximate fiat value of coins that will be leaving your wallet and users need to pay attention to this information to avoid such costly mistakes!

And when it comes to avoiding sending coins to a wrong Addy, I think the use of qr codes should help and  I haven't heard of a qr code being hijacked,  so we can say they are safe but still have that consciousness to always check on correctness of the info...

In any transaction of cryptocurrency you most be extremely careful and crosscheck your wallet especially the recipient address before sending your coins
Totally agree, for irreversible assets such as crypto, I believe its mandatory for everyone of us to spend 3-10 seconds just crosschecking on the correctness of this data to avoid preventable mistakes.
1336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Just HODL But HODL Wisely and Securely on: September 24, 2023, 06:30:14 AM
There are more than one thousand ways to HODL bitcoin. In fact, as of 2022 there were about 2,790 Bitcoin-related applications are available on the Google Play Store while Apple Store had about 651 such apps. To add to this there are 288 hardware wallets and 44 bearer tokens in circulation, all of there telling you that they are able to secure your bitcoin holdings

Don't just hold but hodl wisely and securely.
Appreciate the Timely advice  Cool

But in the name of hodling wisely and securely,  this isn't as easy as it sounds as not everyone has the technical know-how on choosing the best wallets as they believe that anything found on these app stores are legit when in fact not!!
Android devices being the most used devices in the world, I think Google fellas aren't doing enough to protect their users either as some apps have been reported to be fake, duplicates,  malware etc which compromises on our security and these apps keep finding themselves on the Store.

1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is only Bitcoin and nothing else on: September 23, 2023, 06:11:09 PM
I was going through coinmarketcap today to see some of the cryptocurrencies I was involved in when I started, I was so surprised to see that a lot of them have even been delisted. I was heartbroken seeing that some tokens who raised millions of dollars, had huge community and were trending even in various platforms just died. I wanted to not mention any particular token but I have to mention PumaPay that raised about $8 million yet could not deliver anything and got investors holding a bag of shit.
This is criminal!!
$8 million dollars  was alot of money for any ICO project standards back then and not to have something to show for today is the likely reason why ICOs became unpopular back then as they failed to have these tokens listed on good exchanges with liquidity ,hence the birth of IEOs to protect investors.

I know there are other who would have similar experience too and there are still others caught up in the euphoria of getting rich through one token or the other. Well, if it is not Bitcoin, it is not worth holding.
Btw, seeing how all these ICOs dropped in value or failed to take off...does this validate/approve the selling of tokens by Bounty hunters the second they had them because  they feared this would happen Roll Eyes
1339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: September 23, 2023, 03:12:50 PM
I know that Rodri is a defensive midfielder however he is playing closer to scoring goals this season.
Watching the game and seeing the ref show Rodri a Red just reminded me of you wanting to bring him into your team..btw was the physical confrontation really necessary when the second half just started and his team was 2 nil up Huh
Now with Rodri out he makes it awkward for Manchester city assets to score more points as Nottingham forest will try to make something out of this...

Foden, Alvarez and Halaand Starts!! Time for trofo to feast. Who else has the 3 attackers.
Alvarez won't be getting a goal this afternoon with Rodri out & tempers high, but fingers crossed...

In other news, Kane started (did not think he will), Bayern's already 3-0 up but Kane got only 1. Not relevant for my league duel, but I like my chances of a freebet in this round so I need Guirassy here.
Why did they have to put Kane on penalty duties and now this lad has two goals to his name with 20 minutes plus added time to come, these guys aren't making it easy for us...please take him off already before he gets another one lol  Grin

I am starting to like the DOTA questions more and more as I have done some research here and there and by now am quite familiar with some of the team stats. Got the Gaimin Gladiators really wrong here, but Team Spirit is on a good way.
Esports tend to be unpredictable especially that the Upper Bracket can lose and still fight it out with the lower bracket...good luck with Team Spirit  Cool
