1341  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.1 BTC | Loan Required | No collateral | Repay 0.11 | 48 hours on: July 25, 2014, 08:19:03 PM
the account was only used as collateral for the first 0.03 loan

the others I sent because I saw his miners, he turned on one for a while which mined for me
but as soon as I sent the money for the PSU of the other miner he disappeared

If you knew his account is worth only ~0.03 - 0.05, why would you loan him 10x the amount? Even if he repaid the first tiny amount, it doesn't change the fact that he's still a gambler. Why would he return your large (relatively speaking) loan when he can just easily make another account, or buy a similar one for much cheaper?

Personally if this was me, I'd take it as lesson learned rather than let someone else take the fall for me. I would have sent that amount back to BiPolarBob.
1342  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.1 BTC | Loan Required | No collateral | Repay 0.11 | 48 hours on: July 25, 2014, 08:04:26 PM
I guess I just have a too big heart

To do such a thing is unspeakable to me, so I assume it isn't so normal for someone else to do it so easily and to put so much effort in the story, especially when it wouldn't be that hard to pay the loan back, it's only 11 days..

I'm too honest for this business

You had every sign and every warning right in front of your face, yet you ignore it. Take a look at the OP's profile, he comes here for the sole purpose for gambling and games. How do you ignore this fact? I pointed this out in the first page, the least you could have done is verify it. Mining contract is no collateral, as pointed why earlier. In several other threads, you asked for people's account as collateral, and I already warned against it and gave reasons why this is a terrible idea.

Really, this should have been your mistake to eat and learn. But fortunately for you, a very nice guy decided to take the hit for you.

@ BiPolarBob - someday, your generosity will be returned in far greater ways. I've left you feedback for this act of kindness.

I'm picking up a few from him, he agreed to do it through escrow.

If you're international and want one (assuming it's legit), I'll help you forward it to your address. Shoot me a PM, I've done plenty of international shipping.

Here is the info on this scumbag. If you happen to be said scumbag and coincidentally see this thread, make it right, otherwise the personal info stays on here.

1345  Other / Off-topic / How to follow up with ebay/paypal CHARGEBACK? on: July 25, 2014, 06:27:56 PM
Some random guy registered a brand new account on ebay and purchased an item from me. I shipped it, then he filed a chargeback through his credit card once he received the item. Now paypal is holding my funds.

The thing is, paypal has no say in what his bank decides, so if his bank reverses the payment from paypal, then paypal will pass the loss to me and take my funds. How the fuk can I prevent brand new users from buying my stuff? There is no way to preemptively block new users from doing this shit.

Luckily for me, I documented on video the whole process of me packaging the stuff. I have picture and video proof, but how can I contact his bank to give this evidence of his fraudulent behavior?
1346  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: July 25, 2014, 06:08:43 PM
Yeah, send back 0.0041, which includes the tx fee and we'll cancel the loan.

There was an extra zero in there which you should have saw since it's quoted right below your request.

It never occurred to you that he can simply switch back to his own pool on a whim? Mining contract when he is in physical control of the miner and all the settings is not collateral.
1348  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: July 25, 2014, 05:54:57 PM

So the images were fake eh? They looked cool and highly effective. (before the op edit the topic and delete all the images and text). People should escrow with this kind of high risk items.

He had no images of the actual laser. If you read through the thread, picture and video was requested of the actual laser he is selling, and he couldn't provide it.
1351  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] Buying .75 BTC on: July 25, 2014, 04:11:53 PM
newbie and credit card...
try an exchange

I don't think any exchange accept credit cards for Bitcoins trading.

You can use a linked credit card to get btc from coinbase. There are higher fees than if they were to be debited form your account, as expected.

UPDATE PLEASE READ: I just got some bad news that my private retailer will only ship to USA from now on, he doesn't wanna deal with anything international for some odd reason. I'm sorry for this problem, I just found out right now. Thank god only one person ordered that was international. I'll be PMing everyone who was interested but wasn't located in USA to tell them. I am deeply sorry, USA only. But free shipping of course. Get a dropshipper in USA if you're international. Thank you.

It's because international shipping from the US is rather expensive. USPS had a pretty large price increase, and UPS and fedex costs even more. On top of that, you have to fill out customs declaration forms for every package. Lastly, there is higher risk something would happen to the package, as it will be going through more hands.

I know because I've done mass international shipping before. It really is a pain the ass.
1353  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] Buying .75 BTC on: July 25, 2014, 07:45:41 AM
haha funny guy  Cheesy. No chargebacks, right? Of course not!
1354  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Purchasing $35 worth of Bitcoin with Paypal. on: July 25, 2014, 04:42:52 AM
I can fulfill this for you, depending on the rate. You probably already have my full name and the address from my previous ebay/paypal invoice  Wink
1355  Economy / Lending / Re: What would i need to do for a 3k loan in btc? on: July 25, 2014, 03:48:53 AM
Some decent collateral, and a good interest rate offer. Your account is nowhere near $3k worth, so not even a fool will hand that amount to you.
1356  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB BTC for PP/MG/Prepaid/Cash Deposit/MORE! Bitstamp-3% *BEST RATE* on: July 25, 2014, 02:35:13 AM
Just finished a transaction with OP for $25 worth of btc for paypal. I sent btc when he was offline, he sent paypal payment when he got back on. Very easy trade Smiley
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aftermath of Merchant Acceptance? on: July 25, 2014, 12:13:20 AM
Merchant adoption theoretically shouldn't affect price. People that spend their btc on merchants will most likely replenish their btc again. If you don't have btc to begin with, then you'd have to buy them in the first place, then bitpay/coinbase cashes them back out to fiat. The net change is zero.

However, over long term, then it should have a positive effect on price because new money is entering into the crypto realm as more merchants adopt bitcoin. With a hard cap on the supply, it's bound to increase.
1358  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another dump to $550 can be expected in 48hours on: July 25, 2014, 12:09:53 AM
We are always in the down trend of $1200 to $0 which started from last year, $6xx is already the top bubble we can reach after all these Dead Cat Bounces

Good one. I hope price crashes too. I need to buy back some cheaper coins.
1359  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan 0.1 BTC Payable after 7 days with 10% interest rate (No Collateral) on: July 25, 2014, 12:05:20 AM
i siad to him it's inconvinient on my part because i have a thread and i am selling gift cards, so i cant monitor the pms..

There is an option in your profile to set email notification when you get PM. You'll know when you get the PMs and it will also show what people say in the PM, but you just can't reply.
1360  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Hero3+ GoPros on: July 24, 2014, 10:58:05 PM
Rumor is that GoPro4 is launching this summer. Is that why these current versions are being dumped for cheaper?

If you ship first to me, I'll grab one for now, will pay when I confirm it's legit. I might grab a few more afterwards. Look at my references in my profile, then let me know if that's something you're willing to do.
