People are jumping in to conclusions too quickly. Just because you can't find the information in the database, doesn't necessarily mean that the information is not there. You might just be unable to enter the right keywords in the search engine. [....]
The onus is on the business to present accurate information about itself to the world. As it stands now, MyRig is inaccurately representing itself to the world when it states on its ToS that its name is "MyRig, Inc." The entity's actual name consists of Japanese letters, not English letters. This may seem like a meaningless technicality to some, but it is actually quite important so that people can reliably conduct due diligence. I have searched everywhere for Halong Mining's incorporation records, guessing at the country in which it has incorporated. I even checked Vietnam to no avail since "Halong" is a city there. This is case in point why presenting accurate information is so important. [....] They have entered the corporation information in to the database system in Japanese only, hence why you can only find that information by searching with the Japanese expression of the company name. I don't think there is anything odd with that. [....]
It is odd if you consider that MyRig has held itself out as a Colorado corporation ( https://i.imgur.com/8WZDWmZ.jpg) using a name ("MyRig, Inc.") that does not exist in the records of Colorado's Secretary of State. MyRig has a receiving address in Colorado at a UPS Store and transacts business there. To that extent, it is required under Colorado law to obtain authorization to conduct business in Colorado as a foreign entity. If it registered, we'd have the ability to hold MyRig accountable using legal process should circumstances justify it some day. If it does not register, then U.S. customers should understand the lack of accountability should something go wrong when transacting with MyRig. Good points made, I stand corrected. It would be good for a company doing international business that the official information is in English and also easily available for anyone to check it.

@Dr. Mann

I mean also here in Finland most of the corporation info is available in Finnish.

You might just be unable to enter the right keywords in the search engine.
In this case I searched Google with the Japanese expression for MyRig's name and I was able to find the corporation number.
Then I entered the corporation number in the database search and I got search results immediately.

The Rasp Pi wall wart is good for every single Rasp Pi model with those technical specs 5 VDC and 2.5 A.
I'm starting to think if the AUC3 Converter in an unflashed one and doesn't have the AUC firmware installed in it.

Ok, if you tried every A841 unit, then it should not be a control board (MM board) issue. You can see the meanings for LED colors and error codes here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3224256You have tried installing a fresh new OpenWrt firmware. You have tried different AUC3 5-pin cables. What are the technical specs for your 5VDC wall wart psu connected to the controller?
|
|
|
Do you get the same result with all four A841 units?
What is the AvalonMiner LED color?
What is the AUC3 LED color?
This might be a case of an unflashed AUC3 converter.

Ok, 3x1.5mm2 C13 --> Type I power cord it is then.
Yeah it should do the job just fine, presuming that the cable condition is good and it is not damaged.
|
|
|
I don't remember specs for the stock power cord, since I did not use it as we have Type F sockets here in Finland.

If you have set the minimum fan speed to 100%, then it should be running full speed all the time.
For me it sounds like the cooling fan is faulty.
Do you have any spare fan that you can test with it?

Hi everybody,
Thanks for hassg for the five coupons, very much appreciate !
Can anybody here can help me check the maximum USD coupons for Antminer D3, and Antminer L3+.
I looking to buy 5 units of L3+ and D3. Hope anyone here can help to verified or sell me the coupons.
Thank you very much!
No problem, you're welcome. Bitmain states this: The coupons can be applied to only new purchases of the Antminer S9, L3+, T9+, A3, V9, D3 or X3. Any coupon value that is worth 200USD or more cannot be used to purchase an Antminer V9 or D3. So you can use your coupons for any of these miners.

What wire gauge does the power cord from socket to psu have?
|
|
|
I was talking about wiring from the circuit breaker to the electrical socket.

And yes, these machines are only 5-10 km from shore.
Saltwater has a strong effect in corroding metals. Unfortunately so. At this rate, it is just a matter of time before more controller boards rust dead. Do you think bitmain would still cover repairs under warranty if there are obvious signs of rusting? I think they might noticy if those signs are obvious. You really need to try to fix that environment or move your miners to another location.

^ That is a good point. It is always a good idea to check the cable conditions before moving on with the troubleshooting to PCB boards.

Hi all, I tried with a host for my M3s that I received 2 weeks ago but there’s not much luck What happened is that after running for 24 to 48 hours straight, the cables got burnt out once, another time the fuse of the socket got burnt. Anyone has similar challenge or able to advise how to overcome this? Thanks
Guys you need to do some homework before runing a miner or you will ger your house burnt down. So M3 drains approx 2200w, if you are on 230v you should use 1,5mm2 cables. It should be rated 16amps. It should be also in a power circuit that is protected with 16A fuse. Wrong. 1.5 mm2 - Max. circuit breaker size: 10 Amps 2.5 mm2 - Max. circuit breaker size: 16 Amps This is how it is done in installations which comply with the IEC standards.

You are right, I understand that some people might get tired of it.
All in all I don't feel so welcomed anymore when it comes to this subject, so I might stay away from giving comments on this one from now on.
It might be the best for everybody..

I suppose that should be possible yes.
