1341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 24, 2023, 04:52:00 PM
Trading just like gambling will involve emotional fear and decision at least for the reason that they both involve the possibility of losing your money if it doesn't go your way. This is sure because money is the primary focus here in both and a trader or gambler fight to secure the money and to increase it
Yes but gambling is more riskier than trading because whatever you do there is no stop loss or dca that you can do to prevent larger loss, in gambling you just sometimes need to rely in your luck or strategies you have been done before. But I agree there's no such big difference among these two, but futures can make you instantly rich if you will increase it in 75x cross but in another way you can also be poor instantly when things go dip.
Future trading can make you rich, but the same way it can make you poor, and the instance that you are giving might even make you poor easily,  most especially for people using the kind of leverage which you recommended above, using 75x is really risky, any slight mistake in your analysis, then you are going to be liquidated, i know the high reward in future trading is one of the things that's always pushing people to trade future, if you are trying to trade futures and you want to reduce your risk, then make use of low leverage, and if you are using low leverage, then your profit will also be low.

It's a double edge sword, you could win big when you chose higher leverage but this is also the ones that get you liquidated in no time when all of a sudden the market positions against your trade. It's a gamble on your analysis.

If you wanna gamble with market analysis, I think the binary option is really a good alternative for guys with such personalities. I don't see a good platform for it though. No developers are willing to develop anymore. Traders as just too good at predicting market direction, and binary options website loses more.

1342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 24, 2023, 04:31:48 PM
Don't you think 1.28 is not worth betting unless you are putting a big amount into it?  28$ for 100$ risk is not for some of us. It's close to having a winning situation though which I guess people will be betting more than $100.

Topuria will likely end this fight by submission as he is known to have done it countless times. Topuria, Ilia By Submission however only has 2.80 odds.
I'll just pick by Decision for few $ bet Smiley

1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 24, 2023, 07:55:14 AM
The thing is that, sports bets are not the same as other gambling games where players play for fun,  but in sports bets,  it's all about winning so is not for being a fan but for winning in the bets,  and if the team playing against your team is stronger and likely to win the match then the club will get my winning ticket because it far better to win the bet by selecting the other team instead losing it because you want to show solidarity to your team.

So for me yes,  I would pick a club that will win and not based on being a fan of the other and lose my bet.
what is more certain in this gambling is about winning and losing or wasting money or gaining profits. so that no one wants to bet on his favorite team but the opponent looks to win.

you are the typical realistic gambler that you don't think you want to waste your bet and still make a profit betting on the opposing team or the winning team. for me it is natural because gamblers don't want to lose their bet on their favorite team which has seen losing at the end of the game just wasting money and I myself will do the same thing.
I think most people here would definitely choose to bet on the winning team, not the favorite losing team.

Like everyone else a gamble does have a favorite team. Same woth boxing, they are fans of someone but if this fighter they like are matched to someone on the heavier rank, its another level. A gambler will weigh in his interest to make money than being a fan.

Those who will bet for Errol Spence I guess sees a different result but Crawford will be the champ of the people.
1344  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's get rid of all regulations, what can possibly go wrong on: June 24, 2023, 02:31:06 AM

Yep there is the need for regulation but we can't compare this to the innovation of cryptcurrencies where regulators are deliberately not allowing exchanges to register.

Oceangate is merely an adventurer's dream. Those who are willing to risk their lives to reach the deepest are happy to risk. I'm sure they know the risk, they probably sign waivers too.
1345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost coins redistribution on: June 24, 2023, 02:10:38 AM
This Is coercing holders to so some activity for their address to be considered alive. This will be an approaching big bear market season at every 100 years to come. What fud can be spread during that time will be quite damaging to investors but also an opportunity.

Can they leave Satoshis stash alone? Problem is that they are not identified as his.
1346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think it's still wrong selling properties for Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2023, 05:46:36 PM
I am this close to making double of my money yesterday when I looked at my Bitcoin wallet, this was the Bitcoin I bought at 17k with two acres of farm lands I sold in 2022, I still feel very happy right now because of my decision, I believe that some risks are worth taking and mine is paying off, some people tried to talk me out of this, if I have keep the lands yes it could grow big in future, but the fastest growth of Bitcoin is far more enticing for me.

I am not trying to tell anyone to sell their properties to buy Butcoin, I have more lands that's why I am able to sell for Bitcoin, I think it's wrong having a land or two and sell because of Bitcoin, but if you have more, it's going to worth the risk, nothing grows insanely well like bitcoin does.

I am excited to see how 2024 and 2025 will play out, tell me, is anyone taking such risks with Bitcoin investment? Do you think I went too far selling something as valuable as lands?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with saving up money because you wish to buy something, neither is there anything wrong with accepting somebody's money in exchange for something. In the case of Bitcoin, I and many others consider it money already. So there is no problem. But everyone has a different moral belief system so there is no point in debating any of it in the first place...

It is even very smart of you to invest in Bitcoin, but such large amounts of money in a market which is scarily volatile is a recipe for disaster if you let your emotions buy and sell for you. I hope you know it is best to hodl.

Lands are becoming more desirable with the ever-growing population. But honestly, that seems like an investment for your great-great-great grandchildren, not for yourself.

The fruits of Bitcoin, on the other hand...

He had decided already about selling his properties for BTC. He just needs confirmation on whether it's the right choice. The problem with his situation was that he lost acres of land in exchange for BTC. Would he be able to buy back those 2 acres of land when the bull run is over?

I would certainly want it back if I were him. His family knows it's their land and he may be blamed when the land becomes valuable and needed by his family.
If he could buy back the land at slightly higher price, he could get back the 2 acres but still have some money to buy BTC in the bear market.

1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: June 23, 2023, 05:31:48 PM

When you buy, you always think of the possibility that when you wake up tomorrow you'll see your number on the papers. My old pa does it all the time to this day.

Nothing beats HOPE. It's the only thing that keeps the poor old 65-year-old man from buying tickets in hopes that he might save all the rest of his family from the hell hole we've been in all our lives. We wouldn't want to kill his dream of winning and it's almost like a habit of the old man to buy tickets, even allocate a few funds for it.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama on: June 23, 2023, 05:09:23 PM
Yes, like the title above, we all know the halving time is will always full of drama, this always happens at that time, but I don't know why many people forget and still spread FUD everywhere. If they understand that and know it always happens on every 4 years, they shall be calm and relaxed to face SEC, Binance, or anything drama.

I hope this lesson gives you an important point. They create this to dump Bitcoin, they do this to scare you, they do this to buy Bitcoin at a cheap price, and After buying with a lot of money, you already know that today Bitcoin price is pumped like crazy, right?

So, I just want to say; Don't forget, The drama could happen again and repeat until the halving time. you must be strong and patient. you will definitely win if you face it with a quiet and strong hand if happen again in the near future.

Cheers

LOL, I agree with you and for the reminder too, but don't also forget that humans will still be humans, with emotions, feelings, thoughts of doubt, regrets, etc.; humans are not robots. To just get used to the system like that, despite the fact that some people have experienced how the system always runs, you will still see the people that will cause FUD.

During that period when the price will be uptrending so sharply, you will see quite a lot of people being very happy and rejoicing. After that, when the market crash comes, you will realize that even those who were happy when the price was high are now contributing to FUD. Yeah, I think it's just in the nature of humans not to permanently get used to something that changes periodically. Like in the aspect of the bear and bull markets, some people are not very comfortable with the bear market; as a result, they can overreact and are only happy when the bull runs. Not  every Bitcoiner has full knowledge of what they are even doing, Sorry to say, some people don't know what a bear and bull market are; some people don't also know what Bitcoin halving is; some people don't know the total supply of Bitcoin; and some people don't know that Bitcoin is under attack by the government. I am saying this based on  the experience I have had with some so-called individuals who call themselves Bitcoin investors in the city where I am living now.

Cheers 🥂, Dr.Bitcoin_Strange 👺👺

Spreading fud in the year 2016 was a lot of fun for those guys. But when Facebook and google banned crypto adverts and SEC are the ones spreading fud, the party was over. The fuds in the forum only come out when the bear market is about to be over.

When people buy BTC from the exchange, someone on the other side sells BTC. Buyers and sellers are in a tug of war, in which buyers aka investors will spread just about anything for the weak hands to sell. This time there is coordination, SEC spread fud and its fellow friend Blackrock buys.
1349  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 23, 2023, 04:32:44 PM
I feel like if something goes wrong with a “web2” casino, it’s an established process where they are responsible for any lost funds due to hacks or whatever. With a web3 casino I feel like if something goes wrong then they would point to the nature of web3 and say that you wanted to be responsible for your own funds. I’m all for being your own bank, but not every situation calls for it.
Well said, Og. Justbet representative trying to point out good things about web3 casinos and bad things about web2 casinos. The interesting part is they claimed that web2 casinos are unfair, and I asked him to back up his claim with any kind of proof or an explanation. But I am sad that I did not hear anything back from them. All I want to say to them is; every platform has its good sides and wrong sides. Don't point out others' problems while you also have some kind of problems. it's better to fix your own problem first and then point problems of others. It's like a dog eats dog situation. You don't have pull down someone to step forward. Better to oil your own machine! What do you say?

He just trying to discourage people to use web2 casino since they see this still gaining despite of web3 slowly gaining fame in industry. But this shifting of likes and trust takes time since those web2 casino already earned some overwhelming fame so even though they are not doing any update regarding to this for now but for sure in future if web3 will became mandatory update provably majority will adopt and those people will remain on the casino where they trust the most and ignore other new one for a while.

Why would anyone suggest to leave the web 2.0 casino when the web 3.0 casino are not yet fully functional or in a very limited in number.

This can be compared with the centralised and decentralize exchanges where the centralised exchanges have a lot of features but they are access through the username and password while the decentralize exchanges we have control over the funds but they have lot less features.

It may take time that the web 3.0 casinos will get more popularity.

The safety of funds will still be doubted by the users. Hacks reported that its when they connected to a web3 application that their funds started disappearing. The developers could argue their platform is safe and so it's tit for tat but then it's again going to be a reputation building for companies such as casinos.  Popularity and Funds assurance, this is where they are going to compete even when funds are in the user's own wallet.
1350  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ TronFun | Roulette & Duels | Provably Fair / Social Games | Fast Dep/With ⭐⭐⭐ on: June 23, 2023, 04:14:34 PM

OP had been dropping some links to some gambling-related sites as well so it's kind of sketchy as to what his relationship with the companies. But he is somewhat a rep of the TRonfun, he would have the right to publish a proper ANN thread in the forum. He'd been in the forum for a while he knows the rules.

He hasn't been noticed by the ones that will really take action yet but his spamming will end when mods notice it.
1351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 23, 2023, 03:13:41 PM

Elon’s Mom wanting to cancel this fight before it’s set is pretty standard Mom behavior. Dana White seems to think that a fight in the UFC is possible and stated that he talked to both of them and they are serious. This all sounds a bit ridiculous to me and I think Elon’s lack of current training, age, and prior injuries give Zuck quite an advantage. I also don’t believe Elon is only 180 pounds. With his build at 6’1” he’s probably closer to 220.

Dana's UFC company is falling apart and he needs another fight to hype to save it. His best-hyping dog Conor is over.
But seriously the two nerds fight each other, they are grownups already and they know what's happening. These 2 are richer than Dana, they would rather hire some fighters to fight for them.

I don't think Elon will go down that road. These 2 nerd hides from the crowd all the time. They don't need this fight.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 08:28:22 AM

Not everyone can brave risking on futures trading while the market is very much unpredictable. Gamble is more predictable and the result is always losing  Grin

Seriously, both has risk. The problem with futures trading is that traders also lose all the time. You will need to lose thousands first before you lose everything and learn. In gambling, you can alreadyprofit when your lucky.
1353  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this a normal thing in discussions on this forum? on: June 23, 2023, 08:19:37 AM
What @Not your key Not your BTC said is not neccesary and to me he deliberately hurt the feelings of this man.

Its not often I see arguments about those things since we all agree exchanges can't be trusted even Binance. But if this kind of belittlement already hurt OP, I think PytagoraZ really need to grow a pair. He haven't got to the Politics and Religion yet.
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 22, 2023, 04:58:05 PM
If you have that kind of trick to win, you better not spit it out or casinos will be checking who else has found that trick.

I'm sure morals can be bent until proven to be a cheat but if it's a strategy it's possibly gonna be pushed by a gambler as a strategy than a cheat. Until it's not proven to be a cheat, then the conscience is clean. I have tried different tricks already somehow I find it not worth it in the end, one cheat to exploit isn't so bad lol. Now spit it out!

Many gamblers have been doing tricks and strategies for them to win but that doesn't mean that they are cheating unless the casino itself would see it as an illegal activity. For a gambler who has been experiencing losing streaks, I'm sure that it will be easier for him to decide whether to cheat or not especially if it will help him recover from his losses.
It will be a risk because we might be penalized for our actions if it's against the casino's TOS which may affect our account or even our future transactions that might also put our funds on hold. If we'll do such a thing, we have to make sure that we are also ready to face the possible consequences because for sure, once the casino notices that they're being abused, they will also take action to penalize proven cheaters.

One reason why gamblers are sometimes banned/blocked is that they violate rules, not necessarily cheating but because they got away with violating rules, they will also think they could get away with cheating. And so they cheat and we already know how it ends.

Most of the time, they think they could get away actually but when the casino investigates they find many issues. And sometimes you won't see casinos explaining what and how is because they don't wanna give the public the idea of how those cheaters got caught.

1356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Bitcoin trust worthy on: June 22, 2023, 03:36:07 PM
By your question, you more than likely have very little idea what Bitcoin is so you better learn more about it from what you need to know and how it works.

Read more of it in https://bitcoin.org/en/

To answer your question yes. It's worth it. You wouldn't be introduced to it by someone if they haven't seen how amazing BTC is from being a software to a currency investment.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: June 22, 2023, 03:10:21 PM
If the main idea is to get VIP rewards, I believe focusing on 1 site is better than having 3 different casino accounts at the same time.
It will be easier to manage our gambling funds if we play in 1 casino only and the rewards we may maximize the possible VIP rewards from the casino.
Of course it is also based on my personal experience and you have your own experience as well as your own preferences about this thing.
At the end, our casinos may become useless once we stop wagering for long time because VIP program will always based on our gambling activity.

Especially to users with less capital in casinos. A gambler will have to deposit or lose a significant amount of money before he can rank in a casino. The rich gamblers may be able to rank easily and the addicted ones may already have VIP accounts too. It pays to be a gambling addict I say  Cheesy

So having 3 mature accounts, I guess will not make this user deposit any further after all the benefits can still make him play around all those 3 accounts. No wonder there are VIP casino accounts that are for sale.
1358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why has Bitcoin suddenly jumped above $30,000? - 06/21/23 on: June 22, 2023, 05:31:05 AM

It's BlackRock and big institutions that push the prices up. You wouldn't expect the Chinese to really buy BTC but I guess they prefer to mine them. Chinese creates their own projects, you could say copy someone else products or buy their own like the NEO.

It's very interesting though why they were not buying up at the start of June since it's the date when they open for crypto trading in Hongkong. There would be lots of theories to come up with for this such as they know something that we don't.

1359  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 22, 2023, 05:22:54 AM
What stopped you when the price was low? don't let the sudden increase make you rush into the market- learn to control your emotions.

One of the challenges of some traders is that they don't know when is the right time to enter the market.  Some traders feels when the market is red it is always a wrong time to get into the market to trade. If the green should only be considered as the best time to enter the market, I think it won't always be a right decision. Going into the market when it is green is just greedy sentiment for trading.

Sometimes when the market is red it can also be a good time to enter the market if carefully watched.  Not all green ends up with profit and not all red ends with loss too.
Traders needs to learn when is the right time to enter the market and not to judge when to enter with a particular signal.  Signals are unprecedented and may change faster than it's expected.

Last week some traders analyzed the market will go down to $21k which obviously didn't happen. Traders look at the chart with all possibilities that worse could happen. This analysis made people stopped from buying coins at low prices. If they did, they'd be swimming with their money.

My reason is that I have no money left to invest. I was holding my coins for weeks. And some of these coins are in casino wallet. Yeep not exactly the kind of investor that will hold on a custodial wallet.  Grin
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stay updated on: June 21, 2023, 07:40:03 PM
That's why we need to double our security and our every source because not all the time that the internet give us the accurate and true sources because there are many scams or fake news around the internet. So we need to find those legitimate one. Especially in gambling we need to look the trusted and reliable sources in order to put our bet in our favorite team of player.
If you are searching on the chrome then you would come across many scams as they are not moderating it and only want you to pay them so it's your responsibility to check for authentication and don't fall for those fake news spreading on the internet but many times we believe in what we see but that's not right and yes we should check for it and confirm if the news is right or not.
One should simply not trust a news seen on a single resource until they believe that the source is actually genuine, otherwise, it is always recommended to look for the same news from other sources as well, if it's found and is in the same way that you've read in the first place from the first source, then you can believe that the news is correct, and if it isn't found or has different information, you shouldn't believe the news and look for more sources.

There are obviously a lot of fake information spread on the internet only to get views and visits on pages, channels, and websites and that is why we shouldn't believe everything we read on the internet, we should always verify the information that we get or read somewhere.

Stay on the sports forum where people share the news, it's where you can learn whether the news you read was fake or not. But normally in sports, only the politics behind the organization covers up some info.

Youtube channels usually say the truth, especially influencers, they don't wanna lose subscribers and fans which obviously Bisping or Chael Sonnen will say things that are correct but those who predict fights of course may not be accurate.
