401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spirituality and Betting - Do they Have any Connection? on: October 27, 2023, 04:02:25 PM
Now, my question is, does God play a part in our gambling activities? Do you think how much faith or not, we have in God (or whatever we serve as a God) has anything to do with how much we win or lose in sports betting and gambling in general?
There is no where in the bible that talks about gambling as a sin, but it is in the bible that the love of money is the root of evil. Gambling supposed to be fun and be done with little amount of money. If a christian is gambling with very huge amount of money and thinking God will help him, he is only digging the space of depression for himself and if care is not taken, it may be worst than depression. I do not know what I can call this than stupidity and he is testing God, and which is wrong.

There is a mention of it in the bible. I remember posting this somewhere which some pastor in the past taught us about this in a Christian living class. Which is says in Proverbs 1:14.

Quote
You shall cast your lot among us. We'll all have one purse." 14 put thou lot with us, one purse be there of us all; (put thou thy lot with us, and let there be one purse for us all;) 14 Thy lot thou dost cast among us, One purse is -- to all of us.

If I have to interpret it myself, its like poker where they have a money pot in the middle and one of them will win.

And in Proverbs 1:15, it also says it is not allowed.

Quote
15 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;

Amen!  Grin
402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think if you have a lot of money its hard to satisfy your ego in gambling on: October 27, 2023, 02:56:12 PM
It probably depends on your personality. Showing off the public like you have millions, I guess would elevate your status for a moment until you lost it all.

But the majority of us have plans to do with the money once we become a millionaire. Assuming you also have plans then I think you will still be moderate in gambling and then execute whatever your plans for the money.
403  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: October 27, 2023, 01:33:08 PM

I finally logged into my rollbit account and wanted to deposit but there seems to be no BTC address to deposit and there is no way to generate one.

What I can see is this:
Quote
Missing contract ETH deposit? Request deposit address sweep
Missing SOL deposits? Request deposit address sweep

I thought it was because I had not yet activated my account but then also there is supposed to be an email to receive but there is none. Is anyone also having this problem?
I don't really understand what makes Bitcoin address not available in your account because I didn't experience any problems and not only Bitcoin but other coins that are available on Rollbit can have their addresses generated without any problems at all, if you haven't verified your email when you first register you can Go to the account section and click settings and you can see whether your email has been verified or not because if not, it will definitely be recorded as not and usually the casino will provide a new link when you ask for email verification again, hopefully that will work.

I already did this. requesting an email confirmation since I hadn't received it and then it came.

However, after navigating, I still couldn't see the BTC address or where I could generate a deposit BTC address. I must have done something wrong here and I can't point out what it is. It just says NO ENTRIES. Is that where I am supposed to see the deposit BTC addy?

405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 26, 2023, 04:21:03 PM
Shit! Tendon tore, surgery and eight months off  Tongue
Jon Jones just got injured during his wrestling training and he is officially out of UFC295 fight against Stipe Miocic, and I really wanted to finally see this one   Huh
Jiri Prochazka vs Alex Pereira is now the main event, and Pavlovich vs Aspinall will be a co-main fight for Interim Heavyweight title.

Well this is very surprising because the fight between two monsters from this heavyweight class is an event that is highly anticipated by UFC fans.
Jon Jones will undergo long period of treatment and recovery and it is even reported that after he recovers he will not be able to immediately return to the UFC to fight.
It looks like he will gain quite significant amount of weight because during the recovery period he will only sleep and eat. Cheesy

Indeed there is replacement fight for Jones failed meeting with Stipe Miocic namely the interim heavyweight title fight between Sergei Pavlovich vs Tom Aspinall.
Unfortunately this fight isn't that interesting.

Meanwhile for Alex Pereira, I will have hopes for his victory against Jiri Prochazka.

Why is Pavlo vs Aspinall an interim fight?  Jones being stripped of his belt would appear Sergei Pavlovich vs Tom Aspinall fight for the vacant belt.

The news says it will take more than a year before Jones can recover, it's very uncertain whether he can still fight as long as USADA has yet not out of the picture he will not be able to. Its the same issue with Conor.

406  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 26, 2023, 11:36:06 AM
I always sort of thought that if you’re engaging in behavior that you want to keep a secret then you probably shouldn’t be engaging in that behavior. This is especially true with things like gambling. If it isn’t illegal and it isn’t a problem, why wouldn’t you want to share things you enjoy with the people that you care about? Seems suspect.

Sometimes, keeping secrets is not necessarily bad behavior. Keeping secrets will not affect our lives. When we live in an environment where people around us do not like gambling. Gambling openly is not good. As you know, women are troublesome. We cannot share with them the money we lose while gambling. Keeping secrets is necessary in some cases, as long as we know how to control ourselves in this gambling game. Don't let serious consequences happen. When everything comes out, you will be blamed for this secret.
Keeping our gambling activities a secret is not a bad thing, by keeping it a secret we will avoid conversations with people who think that gambling is a bad thing in their opinion. If we live in an environment that doesn't like gambling, of course it would be better for us to keep our gambling activities a secret because if they find out, of course this will become a topic of conversation among people around us and this will make us uncomfortable.

It will work if you do have a good control and proper management of your time and money, keeping yourself away from the eyes of other people will help you not to engage to any forms of bad-mouthing or negative opinions about things that you are involved with, for sure not many are okay with those negative impression, when someone throw negative opinions most of the time a person will be shy and not wanting to broadcast his participation.
based on what you've said, I want to share that I have this kind of mindset that It's better not to let people around you, especially your relative knows that you're into casino or you're participated in any act of gambling because they have the potential to oppose you which leads you to lose your game and to destroy your plans. It's okay to avoid and to keep it from them, especially if you're not asking money on them. Hearing some negative opinions from them about you losing in a gambling will hooked on the idea that gambling can help reinstate any losses incurred, through the process of winning, or simply use the gambling process itself as the great escape from hellish emotion.

You can't really control what others are going to say or think about you when they know you are into casinos. And the more they know about you like, you haven't mowed your lawn for a long time and yet you are gambling online. Always be reminded that somebody's watching you. But yep I better mow my lawn before the rest of the world notices it.  If you can't have privacy online then at least have privacy from the judging eyes of the people.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF Discussion on: October 26, 2023, 10:36:42 AM
It is very interesting that Blackrock ETF, which was on DTCC's site since August, suddenly caused so much speculation yesterday and then was taken off the site. What do you guys think? Is an ETF coming soon? How come no one took notice of DTCC's site until yesterday?

https://www.coinfeeds.io/daily-trending-news/clarifying-blackrock-bitcoin-etf-speculation
Yeah, it is very uncanny for them to removed the ticker when someone notice it on their website. So it could be that they just made a big and honest mistakes on their end, or they wanted to see the pulse of the crypto world and see what will be the reaction. And so obviously, it created a lot of noise and pushes the price to $35k. And the good thing is that even after they have taken it down, the prices keeps on that price range.

As for the ETF coming soon, yeah, the pressure is now on SEC to approved it. There are big guys playing on the market right now, too influential that the SEC can't really do anything about it but to approved it. And most likely it will coincide with the bull run in the next year.

They will approve it but at the time when we don't expect it. Something like there is an element of surprise and the regular people are not able to buy. For now, SEC may actually wait for the BTC ETF news to die down and none of the crypto news sites will publish about it anymore.

Once people\s attention are once again drawn to some war somewhere, the SEC will secretly approve ETF and list it like it was approved months ago.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live Sports Betting vs virtual Games Betting on: October 26, 2023, 09:53:57 AM

If you prefer to see the scores to be able to predict how the game ends, yes live betting would be better. I did some of these stuff in soccer but it still is no guaranteed you win when you see the score is 1-0.

Just recently I did it with NBA as it's the new season, GSW vs Phoenix Suns to which I thought GSW would win because they recovered fast in the half of the game but they tend to lose still. So if one bets on the game while it's live, it sure is no guaranteed and the bookies also won't allow us to bet at the last minute.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: October 25, 2023, 06:14:04 PM
Have this been asked before?
But to answer; yes especially since this year. I am guilty of not soing so especially before when I was just starting in this industry. I just tend to gamble and deposit money ‘til I have nothing left with me but when I realized the importance of tracking the numbers, it helped me to become a more efficient gambler. Losing will be always there but at least in such way, I am no longer losing an amount outside my financial tolerance; acceptance of losing at the end of the day is important to limit oneself from frustration and pushing myself to take what I have lost from the games I played. If I won’t be able to control the outcome then I should atleast protect myself before I start playing.

Yes. I think this is the thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5469835.0

I have no record of my wins and losses but if I really want to put them on the spreadsheet, I can since all the records are just in the history of my activity in the casino.
I just don't look into the records and regret all the losses lol besides putting them on the spreadsheet seems hard work and keeping a record is an evidence so its a not gonna be good.

LOL this is very funny and his head is in a jar like a pickle.
Yep I will really be a big news to everyone here and to the mainstream media since Eddie is considered a celeb already.  It would be on the front page of every news page sayin "CEO Staked his head".

Looking down its page, another article says Stake.com Denies $100,000 Payout After $250,000 WIN!
This angus writer indeed has an axe to grind prompting him to write all these. It's no wonder the guy is writing some stupid stuff.
411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just like visiting a cinema on: October 25, 2023, 05:24:31 PM
In cinema, you won't expect to lose but want to achieve advances to your new girlfriend while in gambling you are expecting to win some money. But if you are losing a substantial amount already, it's gonna be hard for you to have fun playing in a casino.

The only way I can see this to possibly continue enjoying your day is to stop before you lose more. Because when you are not enjoying anymore and you could be agitated already by the loss you made, you may not be able to play well.
412  Economy / Reputation / Re: Recently woke up asking for a loan on: October 25, 2023, 05:02:18 PM
I'm not a fraud specialist, but it seems to me that such an account, which was registered in 2013, has a value of more than $800.
But if a user participates in a subscription campaign and has an additional bonus of 300-400 dollars per month, then why would he cheat on this forum for 800 dollars?

It wouldn't make sense but it would take ~Money~ to join a campaign to be able to get a loan which he likely needed now.

Asking for a loan while the account recently just woke is not good for their business. They will scrutinize the account for good and may want to sign a message of their old wallet to see if it is still him. Because definitely as it happened before accounts could change hands.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: October 25, 2023, 02:15:56 PM
Francis will be like a sparring session for Fury, sort of a training but Fury should be worrying whether he could really fight after just 2-4 months.

https://www.boxingscene.com/usyk-on-injuries-ahead-fury-showdown-i-t-say-everything-ok-everythings-under-control--178633

Usyk having an injury for which he needed 14 weeks to train is like a fight between Usyk and Fury written on the flowing waters. And him talking about injuries with no exact date or location yet. Something tells me it won't happen.

Maybe the Big Belly vs Ngannou fight is scripted? However, even without a script, it is still hard to imagine a 37-year-old who has been inactive for nearly 2 years beating a boxing champion in his debut. So Tyson Fury should be fine. My guess earlier is the fight with Usyk should happen before Christmas and New Year's or the fight will be moved to early March onwards.

The expected date is December 23. If Usyk has an injury he rather demand a later date or he will regret losing to Fury with an injury. Just like when his friend Loma lost a close fight to Teofimo Lopez and was only operated after the fight.

There's also a statement from Fury's camp that Usyk can file a case if he won't fight on December 23. It seems like the contract is signed but without a date and Big Belly is the one to decide it. I won't be surprised though if he tries to exploit Usyk again like giving a short notice to shorten the regular training camp.

I can't remember, but I read the Usyk is somewhat injured right now, so there is a big possibility that the Usyk vs Fury might push for next year. But still, Usyk said that he is willing to fight so for sure this fight is going to push through.

And yes, I don't see Francis putting up a massive upset on Tyson here. It's good that we see promotions in this fight. But it will take Francis to be lucky to hit Tyson and knock him out for good. That is the only way he can win this fight, with a knockout. But Tyson Fury is also a defensive boxer so I doubt that Francis can land his signature power punch just like he did in UFC.

It's just crazy how they want to get each other's skin that Fury goes so far in announcing his fight with Usyk while his fight with Francis hasn't happened yet. No one has done that in the history of boxing.
But this could be the reason why Usyk is not up to what Fury is playing.

The Fury vs Usyk fight could have happened last Dec 2022 but Fury was ducking Usyk and instead fighting the ones he knows are no match to him such as Chisora.
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Latest Game in my Country: Bottle Flip on: October 24, 2023, 07:36:49 PM
So, bottle flipping has resurrected in your nation, and you're enamored by it? Fascinating. It's the simplistic games that have the power to captivate, isn't it? Yet, I must say, intertwining a child's game with betting is a step too far. And adults are leading this parade, exploiting an innocent pastime for financial gain
This topic seems kind of fishy to me, how sure is OP that this bottle flipping craze is all over the country? Because I feel like this game is just too mundane to be a craze in the gambling scene in a country not to mention that it's a pretty simple game that you can easily win if you have the skill to consistently do a flip and besides what you've said, it's a step too far but if we're given more context about this game maybe we will see why this is the thing that's making craze all over OP's country.

It's pretty dull if the kids play in binary and win the pot. They play it differently in groups, you'll see it on social media where the ones who could make the bottle stand, will have the opportunity to eat the tray of food and he'd have to stop whenever someone got it right for its someone else turn.

Its just for fun, not really for gambling but I think they could as well just share a pot for the winner.

416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake casino streamers! Why such streamers are very popular? on: October 24, 2023, 01:41:55 PM
Internet companies do all the crazy tricks to promote their services. And it's not just the gambling industry that does all these because the adult industry is the worst of it all. A chick on the camera can actually make the jackass pay for more ballistic positions or a Facebook friend request with a petite girl can bring a maniac go to an adult dating site.

In the gambling industry which is very competitive, they could really be just rolling out their own money or a new owner of a casino may even do a streaming himself just to promote and them scam clients in the end.

418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling Generally An Illicit Activity? on: October 24, 2023, 01:12:42 PM

There had been many edits in wiki that are suspicious even though the word Recession was edited to make it look like we are not experiencing it. If they added gambling being an illicit activity then the government itself is committing it since they have been promoting gambling like the state-sponsored lottery.

It will not be surprising one day gambling will be prohibited in countries that once allowed it. After all even today gambling is being frowned upon.

419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Cardano on: October 24, 2023, 05:21:11 AM

Back in 2016 tokens like NEM and its competitors are on top of the ranks. We thought those tokens are going to be on top forever. But now we see they are not found on top 10. I think ADA will have no difference to those tokens.

It will eventually taken over by newer projects which has sensible use case.
