Regarding the Withdrawal Fee

For those that have highlighted the temporary increase in Withdrawal Fee, I can confirm that as network congestion has eased, this has now been reduced back down to 0.00054240 BTC.

If you have further feedback I will happily pass that on.

146  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: May 10, 2020, 04:18:17 PM
And ofc cloudbet takes the info from the website that says i lost my bet haha fucking scammers you better set the bets from this match  as a void cause clearly nobody knows the real score. One web says my player win and other web says my player lose

Hi Chronor,

Please send a PM with the details of your issue and I can look into it.
147  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: May 10, 2020, 04:16:13 PM
3 hours and counting waiting for a withdrawal... and ofc in chat they dont give a fuck. Fucking shame. Will never use this book again

Sorry for the delay in responding Brandonlang,

If you are still waiting on a withdrawal pls send a PM with the details and I can chase it up.

The network is experiencing congestion in the run-up to the halving, unfortunately that has caused some withdrawal delays, and also increased network fees (which addresses your other point). Both should return to normal as the level of transactions eases off.

Hi Drexlas,

If you have a specific issue please send a PM and I can look into it.

What countries are blocked or restricted on cloudbet? I want to join but my country blocked this site so I can only use something like VPN or Tor Browser to access this site.

Perhaps my country (Indonesia) isn't blocked on this site.

Hi turkandjaydee,

@Ralle14 was correct in listing the four countries that we don't accept customers from - USA, UK, Hong Kong & Singapore.

You should be interested to know that the newly launched site is translated into Indonesian.

I hope that helps.

@Cloudbet @leea-1334: I don't think I've seen any prediction market do this, I suppose the challenge is you have to find something that someone on the staff is good at but I think if you tried something different that everybody knows (even girls) like memes, you never know. Might take a while to pick up though.

Am pretty sure we have previously offered odds on the NBA Draft but didn't cover the recent current NFL Draft. Movie wise, all the studios are holding back releases until next year which will make things ultra-competitive. Judging by the popularity of 'Contagion' on Netflix we should expect a few pandemic/end of world type movies to be rushed out along with a load of feel good flicks to balance things out.
Oh definitely I'm expecting a ton of stupid movies about pandemic, some with superhero feels, some with good guy bad guys, and people getting depressed. I think it will all be overblown. What to do:)

Betting on memes would be tough, but you can always enjoy the winners from Cloudbet's own bitcoin meme contest  Wink

Agree with you about expecting stupid movies....'Covid on a Plane' starring Samuel L Jackson..."The Social Distancing Network".... Roll Eyes

Ok so i bet on player and one livescore webpage says he won ( https://www.mismarcadores.com/partido/xY3RrBOm/#resumen-del-partido ) and other website says he lost.

Hi brandonlang,

I am sorry to hear about your issue. In order that I can follow up on this for you, please PM your account details.

@Ronnie. I reckon easy to research current affairs betting for finance and politics will be the next big demand for sportsbooks. Everyone is watching the news and they might be thinking that they are becoming experts hehehehe.

The demand might also continue after the pandemic.

https://smarkets.com/current-affairs/covid-19

These markets are interesting but hard for fixed-odds books to trade. Elections are notorious in that regard because they cannot be modelled in the way the EPL can. With £1 traded on the Nitrogen Levels in London it doesn't look environmental markets are a big draw  Shocked

Certainly think everyone is a bit more tuned into risk in their daily lives now, even if it is just weighing up whether it is worth nipping to the shops for milk and biscuits!!

Are you open on offering betting on movie box office openings and rottentomatoes.com ratings, however? They might become more unpredictable after the coronavirus hehehe.

Also, something many bitcoin sportsbooks missed is the NFL draft.

Agree that anything that looks like a COVID deadpool, or trading on misery, is bad for reputation. Like the idea of meme betting though of course that is far too open to manipulation unless you have a bullet-proof approach in mind.

On your point about creating odds, it really depends if there is data on which to create even a loose market. We'll get picked off early on by those who really know the domain but soon enough, by the magical process of the wisdom of the crowd, the true odds will be found.

Yes,,, I know people like to bet on "bad things",,, for me politics or competitions are where we should draw the line but betting on how bad economies are or how soon lockdown will end feels like we are taking advantage of a bad situation.

I was thinking, big meme site like 9gag maybe and just select 10 or 20 memes, and the one that is most popular after 30 days from the date, maybe that? 9gag is too big to manipulate. Or use a Google search term popularity, probably even harder to manipulate.

Nice idea. Would be interesting to know if any of the prediction markets have tried this.

Nice suggestion for above to do Westworld but not everybody follows that kind of show. It has to be also more interesting and more curious to the world, then to just follow what other markets are doing but I guess it is difficult to come up with your own odds.

I think meme betting is nice. Which meme will be most popular for April. Things like that.

I think opening markets on Covid could be a little bad for reputation though.

@Ronnie. You should have proposed this to the owners. I was also suggesting this to you since last year after the Game of Thrones betting went to an end.

“With the North American sports schedule coming to a halt, we are looking for some out of the box ideas to maintain engagement with our players,” Bovada’s head oddsmaker, Pat Morrow, tells TheWrap. “One of the most popular betting markets in 2019 was the final season of Game of Thrones. So it only made sense to make props on the show taking over its time spot, Westworld.”

What else can you see in your crystal ball? With so much sports betting cancelled, markets like this will certainly grow in popularity.

If I can give advice; the new site now has domain beta.cloudbet.com
But the average forum visitor knows that Beta stands for some kind of test version, I think it would be smart to change the subdomain here.
If a user goes to beta.cloudbet.com, he may think it is unstable or is still in a testing phase and is not yet functional.
People may think it is not fully operational yet, and may be afraid to deposit and play.

Thanks gosha@e-coin. It's a fair point. As @logfile mentions the Beta domain has now been updated to www.cloudbet.com while the old site is still running for a short while under legacy.cloudbet.com, but I appreciate the process is a little confusing.

We are still in the middle of the switch with components from legacy gradually being carried over to the new site, while at the same time new functions are added, like card deposits or esports markets.

Please let us know if you have more questions or concerns. We'll post more updates on the site migration as they happen, but pretty soon Legacy will be no more and it will just be the all new Cloudbet with a lot more cool features comingCool

I have never gambled on esports before. Does it encompass Computer generated Virtual leagues/matches or it's purely live sports played by video gamers?

Esports is always player(s) vs player(s) in various video games. Most notably, there's CS:GO, Dota 2 and League of Legends played commonly, and the COVID-19 situation has brought Fifa 2020 betting offerings to a lot of books. It's similar to traditional sports where you can analyze how teams have played, watch live, etc to try to gain an advantage. Computer generated CPU vs CPU games (or predetermined results with a sports aesthetic on it) are generally called Virtual Sports.

Its crazy and at the same time nice how we adapt according to circumstances... Cheesy A few hours ago I watched one of the now broadcasted "fifa clashes" and those guys even sucked, lol, never the less, people could and did bet money on them... Cheesy I have never been a "pro" myself in FIFA, still, I ve won several local tournaments and defeated German champions as well as European Champions back in the day... Wink Good times... Cheesy Personally,  and I know its a bit off-topic, I ve had my best time playing starcraft broodwar... Greek National Team member and qualified for World Cyber Games... Too bad... when I played, betting on our games wasnt available. Cheesy

Edit: One of my biggest wins in sc bw was vs Elky (still have that replay on my hard-drive, safer than any crypto, lol) Cheesy - a legendary pro-gamer from France who went to Korea and who later became a very famous poker pro... Wink

We are privileged to have an eSports legend on our thread  Cool
