@Ronnie: Rohit got his 50 which means you won the bet on him however he is going to ruin your over under 9.5 six bet LOL.
Already 3 over boundary in only 15 overs :-P

He gives with one hand and takes away with the other  Tongue

India have only scored five 6s in their last 3 games (I think) so it's typical they'd start smacking the ball around as soon as my bet was placed  Wink

The girl she lost to is 15, that is pretty incredible to be honest.

She was born in 2004, that's 10 at least 10 years after Venus first turned professional!  Shocked

I'm looking forward to the Tiafoe v Fognini match today, the young American has a really interesting background and reached his first Grand Slam Quaterfinal at the Auzzie Open this year (he was knocked out by Nadal).

Fognini also tends to get his big wins on clay courts too, so I'm giving Tiafoe the win today:

🎾Winner: Tiafoe (1.70)
🎾Total games: Under 40 (2.02)

What other games will people be watching?

Kyrgios is usually entertaining to see, you can take side bets on whether he'll lose his cool and storm off!  Grin

EDIT: I've just been told we are offering a 1mBTC Risk Free Bet on Wimbledon for all new Canadian customers! You can find all the details here.

Any suggestions for making the most of the free bet? Jordan Thompson could be a good shout against Kyrgios.

I am very confident about Shakib scoring 50+, Sharma is possible to but I think in this match we will see more than 9.5 sixes. Overall good choice. Other day you were lucky to have Malinga being the highest wicket taker with only one wicket LOL

I went with the under for 6s as both teams haven't scored a huge amount in recent matches... then Sharma smacks one in the first over  Roll Eyes

I got very lucky with Malinga, that was a strange game.

Your bet for Sri Lanka was nearly going away from the hand yesterday LOL. Unlucky WI that they lost Allen with that run out or the result could be different.

Yeah, shame that I went with WI in the pool!  Cheesy

India opted to bat first. Dinesh Kartik replacing Vijay Shankar.
Sabbir Rahman replacing Mahmudullah, I think it's a big loss for us.
What's the score you are expecting? I think it will be no more than 320, if it exceed, well, our hope will probably end.

I'm thinking 300+ easily; Rahul and Sharma have come out strong and look confident.

Looking forward to today's action, I think India are going to be working hard to bounce back after the England match.

This one is being played at Edgbaston which is supposedly the best ground in the tournament for spin bowlers; I'm a little worried how Bangladesh's batsmen will stand up to Jadeja, Yadav, and Chahal.

That said, I don't think I've lost a bet on Al Hasan yet, so why stop now?  Wink

- Al Hasan total: Over 32.5 (1.92)
- Sharma to score 50: Yes (2.06)
- Total sixes: Under 9.5 (1.93)

We shouldn't forget IPL where CSK lost by 1 run.
Don't forget that CSK as well fixed match  Cheesy Just saying, I have no problem with who did what.

SL is doing great today. Will probably get an easy win, I am losing my points since I have picked WI in the pool. Yesterday as well I had lost point since I had picked India  Cry

Yep I was excited until I remembered I picked West Indies too!  Roll Eyes

Either way I still might have a chance on my bets today for a change!

⚪ Back: Sri Lanka to win (2.60)
⚪ Total 6s: Over 8.5 (1.72)

Five 6s hit so far, should be able to pick that one up when the Windies start slogging 🤞

@jamiroqua - Thanks very much!  Smiley

@TopTort777 - Unfortunately we didn't get the results we were hoping for so the signature campaign is going to remain paused for now.

368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 28, 2019, 03:24:55 PM

Please South Africa lose at least 4 more wickets :-D

Or all of them...  Roll Eyes

At least I might still get something from Malinga if he can pick up a few more wickets 🤞
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 28, 2019, 01:14:02 PM
Pretorius is having a great day, 10 overs bowled with 3 wickets and a 2.50 econ 👏

One last big over to get +200 and then it's time to let the bowlers do their thing. Malinga is going to have to be on form here.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎾🏆 Wimbledon 2019 - Discussion Thread 🏆🎾 on: June 28, 2019, 11:33:05 AM
Interesting draw for the men's singles - Federer and Nadal were both drawn in the same half, meaning that they will not meet in the final and Djokovic will have a slightly easier route through (his odds have dropped slightly as a response to 2.25).

Nadal has arguably the more difficult draw, with a second-round clash against Nick Kyrgios (assuming he breezes past Sugita in the first round). There's also a potential fourth round clash against Cilic to look forward to.

I'm now leaning towards a Djokovic v Federer final, but I'll still be keeping my fingers crossed for Cilic  Wink

371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 28, 2019, 11:21:05 AM
Guys, Sri Lanka vs South Africa. I prefer South Africa to win. Good performance against England does not mean that Sri Lanka is back. They already lost their 1st wicket however Fernando and Kusal Perera is working to recover the inning.

I didn't have much time to check over the markets today so just went with something simple:

⚪ SL top bowler: Malinga (3.45)
⚪ SL to win (3.25)

Malinga was in fine form against England, and with a potential semi-final spot up for grabs i thought they would be fighting hard today. Unfortunately Karunaratne and Fernando didn't seem to get the memo  Wink

I'm hoping that Sri Lanka can keep their heads and build a couple of decent partnerships in the lower orders, if they can get to 225+ they have a chance to defend.

On a side note, India just trashed WI yesterday LOL. I was hoping just to take 26 more runs so that I get 2 points :-P
Never happened :-D

Unlucky there, you almost called it perfectly!  Smiley

As I promised to keep everyone posted, my withdrawal was actually processed yesterday a few hours after my post, but I couldn't make it to the computer earlier for being to busy with work and family. Thank you Cloudbet and wish everyone a happy betting Smiley Lets go Brazil!!!

Thanks for taking the time to come back and confirm the withdrawal was processed; enjoy your winnings!  Cheesy

373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 27, 2019, 11:55:01 AM

That was a very quick decision, I'll need to watch the replay again as it looked like a tough call between bat and pad.

At least it was Roach that bowled him  Cheesy
It was indeed harsh decision. To turn the in field decision the third umpire needs solid evidences but looking at the reply it was not very clear to say that the was nicked.

What's special with Roach by the way? Sorry, I am not closely following WI players.

Mostly just that I picked him as top bowler  Wink

According to the CWC website he currently has the best bowling economy overall at 3.80, but he has only bowled in 3 matches so far compared to others like Boult and Grandhomme who have bowled for 6.

You were unfortunate with Rohit. Not sure how the third umpire made that quick decision where the on field call was not out.

I ignored this bet because 1.43 was too little for me.

@an@sha - That's fair, and thanks to your report you shouldn't run into the same issue again (now that our teams have had a chance to track down the cause).

is there any country or account restrictions  going on?

@SyGambler - Not that i'm aware of (aside from our usual blocks on players from restricted territories), but I did have a similar report through Twitter recently so i'm going to ask one of our team to investigate for you. There was a weird issue yesterday where certain markets were temporarily locked, but this was resolved within minutes so unless you were very unlucky with timings it couldn't be that.

@Ronnie. What is the feedback on Westworld betting? Are your sportsbook teams interested in having it on the website?

@bbc.reporter - The last response I got was that it was being considered, but with the relatively low interest in the GoT odds it's proving to be a hard sell. I'll keep pushing and update you with any further information I receive.

@jamiroqua - Apologies that you have experienced a delay. You are correct that some withdrawals are processed manually, but the vast majority are still processed quickly using our automated system. If you could please DM me your Cloudbet nickname I'll have our teams investigate for you in case there is a reason you are being bumped into the manual queue.

Thanks, and have a great day!

Pakistan's tournament is starting to look a little familiar...  Wink

Source: https://twitter.com/cricketworldcup/status/1143950307447255040

Sad to see my pool team NZ lose but hats off to the Pakistan team, they played with passion.

Today's game should be a good one. Expecting India to win but it's always entertaining to watch the Windies at bat.

Sticking to what should be some 'safer' bets today  Wink

- Sharma total: Over 42.5 (1.92)
- West Indies top bowler: Roach (4.70)
- Total sixes: Over 14.5 (1.96)

What's everyone else going for?

377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎾🏆 Wimbledon 2019 - Discussion Thread 🏆🎾 on: June 27, 2019, 09:05:18 AM
So no one is tipping Cilic or Raonic? I'd love to see one of them really pushing the top 3 seeds in the latter stages, and either one *should* be able to beat Nadal on grass on a good day.

while my long shot would be Stefanos Tsitsipas.

@Kemarit - That's an interesting pick to be fair. He beat Federer this year in Italy and reached the final in Madrid after beating Nadal, but both of those are on Clay and I'm not sure he'll be able to compete with all the serve-and-volley play at Wimbledon.

@Juggy777 - Great spot, I'll pass that on to our tennis tipster!

On another note there's a bunch of changes to Wimbledon this year that could effect the betting odds, the biggest of which is probably the covered court one, and the rule changes to avoid so-called 'marathon matches'.

The covered court can really open things up in terms of the odds, as the conditions (or lack thereof) can completely change the run of the game. It's actually a real shame Murray isn't competing as his record for indoor matches is pretty impressive.

The changes to the rules to introduce a tie-break in the final set is also a game-changer, it should actually give 'less skilled' players more of a chance (with a little help from lady luck)

We have a great blog about the role of luck in betting that delves into tennis majors specifically. It's proven that the influence of skill on the outcome of a match match will increase as the number of repetitions increase, so on the other side of that coin, the role of luck will increase with the number of points being lowered.

Just noticed an interesting live market:

Which team will lead after 15 overs: New Zealand (8.80)

If I'm remembering correctly NZ were at around 48-50 runs in the 15th over?

Tempted to put a bet on the NZ bowlers keeping the run rate down for Pakistan  Wink

Afternoon all,

Apologies if this is a duplicate, I was looking around for a Wimbledon thread but only found the general Tennis discussion ones so far.

Wimbledon is just around the corner, and we've just published an article from Tennis expert and trader Dan Weston (tennisratings.co.uk) with his breakdown of the data surrounding court conditions, estimated odds, value bets, etc.

You can check out the blog here.

The most interesting part for me was the look at current ATP top 10 players; and which exhibited the best grass court records across the last 24 months:

(Based on this I put a cheeky little bet on Cillic as an outsider @ 18.0  Wink)

Who do you think will take the Championship Trophy and Venus Rosewater Dish this year?

380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CWC2019 Prediction Pool - Win x BTC [Additional prize in every round] on: June 26, 2019, 01:24:55 PM
Dammit I had Williamson for over 48.5, thought I'd done well to avoid Guptill and Munro  Roll Eyes

My hopes for breaking even now reside with Total fours: Under 45.5 (1.98) which might not be a bad bet considering how terrible the batting has been (only 12 fours so far)

What bets did everyone else go with today?
