581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sportsbook for IPL? on: March 27, 2019, 04:41:01 PM
Hi there!

At Cloudbet we are offering a wide range of odds on this years IPLSmiley

We've also had our cricket experts write a couple of blogs with tips for IPL bitcoin betting:

IPL 2019: bitcoin betting on the fiercest contest to date - A look at the teams and best value bets

IPL cricket bitcoin betting strategy guide - Betting strategies to maximize returns.

If you have any questions about our odds or the new super low minimum stakes (just 0.0000001 BTC!) then please let me know and I'll get back to you ASAP.

I'm leaning towards the Knight Riders in today's match, 218/4 on the board should be enough to keep Kings XI in check, but it could be a close one.

Have a good day!

Finally, the IPL specific thread I've been searching for!  Wink

We've recently published a couple of blog articles written by our cricket betting experts on the IPL, taking a look at the teams, the odds, betting strategies, etc that might come in useful for members of the pool!

IPL 2019: bitcoin betting on the fiercest contest to date - A look at the teams and best value bets

IPL cricket bitcoin betting strategy guide - Betting strategies to maximize returns.

I've also signed up to the pool on superbru, but I don't expect to win and wouldn't claim a prize - just doing it for the love of the game!  Wink

Have a good day!

Morning all,

@germanszaky - Our support teams should be in touch with you shortly, I have asked them to provide you with a more detailed update on the process.

@nurzahan - We've been working on some updates to our sportsbook offering so there's a chance they were taken down temporarily, I'm passing on all the leagues you mention to our sportsbook teams so I'm hoping we can get some lines added in the near future.

@Viscore - Players receive one ticket for every bet placed (as long as the amount staked is above the minimum requirements) so the value of each bet doesn't effect the number of tickets gained. To reach the daily cap of 50 tickets you would need to place 50 individual bets.

Thanks very much,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

@germanszaky - I've just spoken to one of our support team members who has responded to your latest email with an update. If you have any questions then please respond and they will be able to provide more information.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

@slaman29 - Thanks very much for the feedback! I'll admit it was a tough couple of weeks on the forum but I'm very happy we managed to clear everything up.

Good luck with the EPL pool!  Grin

You should have been adding PBA games in your betting site. We Filipinos are fond of gambling and that's one of our negative side. And also, about the basketball game in our country. Well, it's sad to say that we're not havint the genes of being giant, but we surely love basketball from the bottom of our hearts. Are you going to add World Cup games? That would be fun.

@Xenrise - Thanks for the feedback! We usually have a decent selection of PBA games available but they seem to have come down recently, I'll be speaking to the sportsbook team today to investigate and get them back up ASAP. I'll also pass on the request regarding the World Cup, it would be great to run a bracket promotion!

That Nurkic injury was a nasty one, made me cringe watching the replay  Shocked  Hope he is able to recover soon, otherwise the Blazers could be looking at an early exit.

@nurzahan - Thanks for getting in touch! It looks like some of the lines you mentioned for the lower division leagues are now back, but I'll pass on your feedback to our sportsbook teams to see what can be done about adding the AFC U23 games. If you have any other specific lines in mind then please let me know and I'll pass on the details.

Have a great day!

@rhomelmabini - Yeah typically VPN use is frowned upon at cloudbet as it has been used in the past to bypass our territory restrictions, which leads to a whole load of other issues.

PBA is indeed the Philippine League, and we have seen a big increase with people betting on that tournament recently. I didn't realise how huge basketball was in the Philippines until now!

Anyone betting on the IPL this year? I can't seem to find a discussion thread for the tournament specifically (besides @Royse777's pool)

We've just lowered our minimum stakes to just 0.00000010 BTC (10 Sats) on the majority of our Bitcoin Sportsbook - that's around 9000 bets for the price of your morning coffee!  Wink

Our expert Matt Harris has written up a comprehensive guide to cricket betting, with a look at the IPL's top teams, batsmen, and who's going to be leading the run, boundary, and man of the match markets.

Do you think the Super Kings can hang on to the title? I was personally leaning towards the Sunrisers as this year's overall winners, but after seeing the initial games that might have been a little bit premature!

That buzzer beater from Lamb last night though  Shocked

We've got a tasty little March Madness Promotion for basketball fans - a 1 BTC giveaway!

We've just lowered the minimum stakes in our Bitcoin Sportsbook to just 0.00000010 BTC (10 sats), and we are celebrating with a March Madness 1 BTC giveaway!

For every 0.0001 BTC wagered on NBA, NCAA, or PBA games, you gain 1 ticket to the prize draw on the 9th April (Max 50 tickets per day!)

Today's big game sees the Magic face the 76ers in the NBA, and theres plenty of value to be found with low stake / long odds lines. I'm leaning towards a bet on Magic on the point spread (+2.0 @ 1.96) and Magic total points (over 108.5 @ 1.89), they seem to be on a bit of a hot streak of late while the 76ers will be looking to bounce back from last game's defeat against the Hawks.

Thoughts?

592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: March 25, 2019, 11:31:14 AM

@buwaytress - Yeah I definitely agree, and it's probably why most books have the odds due to come down on April 1st at the moment - the closer we get to the series start the more leaks and rumours will be coming out and there's not many people 'trading' on those lines to keep them tight.

I can understand the reluctance to place a 'fun' bet on the lines given the above-average minimum stakes, I was hoping the 50 free spin offer would tempt a few more punters but so far only a few have been claimed via the forums!  Wink

@Naida_BR - I do have a feeling that Gendry is going to have a big part to play, but they are going to have to act fast if they are going to reveal more backstory and try and extend his character arc in the last 6 episodes!

@TheCoinGrabber - It's up for debate, but depending on how closely the show follows the books it's possible she is still fertile.

After the events with Duur and Drogo (and Dany losing her unborn child) the last bit of the 'prophesy' about Drogo's recovery states:

...when your womb quickens again and you bear a living child
Then he will return, and not before.

Which seems to hint that having a another child was possible, unless it was just a mean way of saying "It's never going to happen".

There was also this theory on /r/asoiaf about Dany having a miscarriage, which would hint at the idea that she is still able to conceive (unless the 'curse' just means that she'll never birth a 'living' child)

I'm now leaning towards a child of Dany & Jon being raised as a future king with Tyrion as their protector/regent.

Morning all,

@rodimir92 - I'm really sorry for the delay in processing your withdrawal. I can see you have PMed with your Cloudbet nickname so thank you for that, I'll pass on your details to our support teams and ask that they investigate the delay as a priority. I'll report back with any updates I receive ASAP.

EDIT: Just to update - I've been told your withdrawal has now been processed. Everything should be sorted now, but if you experience any delay with your new request then please let me know and i'll escalate for you.

Morning all,

@SyGambler - Sorry about that, we experienced a few minor issues over the weekend and some events required manual grading. I've just checked and your bets should now be settled correctly, but please let me know if there are any outstanding bets that you need me to look into.

@germanszaky - I'll speak to our teams now and try and find out the cause of the delay.

Thanks,

Morning all,

@bbc.reporter - Could you please send me a PM with your Cloudbet nickname and a bit more detail about the bets you wanted to place? I'll investigate now and see what we can do to clear this up for you.

Thanks,

596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: March 22, 2019, 09:58:11 AM
@bbc.reporter - I've checked with our teams and unfortunately the min stakes are there to stay.

I'm in discussions with the team to see if the min stakes can be lowered for similar entertainment markets in the future.

@Juggy777 - I thought the same about Gendry until I read the theory about him possibly learning to forge Valyrian steel weapons. If he was unveiled as the bastard son of a king, and gave Westeros the tools needed to fight the White Walkers he could be hailed as a hero, but I still don't think his claim would be strong enough if any of the other main contenders are still alive. I'm counting on a lot of high profile deaths in the first few episodes!

This is the insiders info, that new competition will be connected with football again? Smiley
Previous competitions were football related mostly.

In the russian local board off-topic there was a discussion, which sport is most exciting to watch. Recent pages shows that it is basketball (team scores often, slams/dunks/rebounds)
.
In 3 week starts NBA 2019 playoff. Maybe you can consider making a competition in connection with it ?

@TopTort777 - To be honest one of the main reasons I was looking to pick football (sorry, soccer Wink) was that it's where I have the most knowledge, so it makes it much easier to pick the games and discuss them with players. I tried to branch out a bit with our recent Cloud 9 competition which was pretty popular, so maybe it is about time I added more sports into the running for future competitions - thanks for the feedback!

If you're a basketball fan, our sportsbook team are currently running a 1BTC March Madness giveaway for people placing bets on the NBA, NCAA, and PBA!

You can find the full details at our blog here.

@ftp_1988 - I can't comment on the KYC verification process, but they will be aiming to process each case as soon as possible given the information provided. I'll pass on your information to a support team leader and ask them to investigate the delay for you.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Afternoon all,

As some of you have been in contact to ask about our Game of Thrones bitcoin betting markets I thought I'd stop by to share some info!

We are currently offering lines on ‘Who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end of season 8’, as well as ten different head to head matchups on ‘Who will die first?’ (push on no death):

- Sandor Clegane vs Gregor Clegane (Clegane Bowl get hype!)  Grin
- Brienne Of Tarth vs Tormund Giantsbane (As long as Tormund gets his kiss first!)
- Jon Snow vs Bran Stark
- Cersei Lannister vs Daenarys Targaryen
- Jaime Lannister vs Tyrion Lannister
- Theon Greyjoy vs Euron Greyjoy
- Bronn vs Varys
- Sansa Stark vs Arya Stark (Noooooooooo!)  Shocked
- Melisandra vs Davos Seaworth
- Gilly vs Hot Pie (Battle of the titans!)  Tongue

Check out our full list of our Game of Thrones lines along with the related odds here.

We’ve also just published a new blog (written by my own fair hand) detailing the contenders, and my thoughts on who could be the character to emerge victorious. Check it out here.

I personally think Tyrion Lannister is great value at (8.43) to take the throne at the end of the season. I’m doubtful that many of the current favourites are going to survive the impending bloodbath, and Tyrion seems ideally placed just outside the inner circle to have everything fall into his lap. What do you think about his chances? I’ve also got a funny feeling Gendry (7.30) could sneak a win at the end, it would be weirdly fitting for someone who’s not even playing the ‘game’ to win the throne.

Now I'm aware our min stakes might be on the high side, so to sweeten the deal a little bit I’m offering an exclusive Bitcointalk flash bonus to anyone wanting to place Game of Thrones bets at Cloudbet:

The next 10 players who place a bet on any Game of Thrones line at Cloudbet and PMs me their Bet ID (or post it here) will receive 50 free spins on one of our most popular bitcoin slot games!

That should keep you busy while we wait for the new series to finally start!

Lastly, don’t forget to let me know what you think of the predictions in our blog, I’m fully prepared for my theories to get torn apart in the first five minutes by the bitcointalk freefolk  Wink

@BlackMambaPH - I'm working on plans for the next competition at the moment!  Smiley

Right now I'm leaning towards a BitcoinTalk predictor competition to guess who will get promoted/relegated from the top 5 English Leagues, but I'm playing around with a few different ideas - if you have any suggestions I'd be very happy to hear them!

Thanks,

Morning all,

@germanszaky - Apologies again for the wait, I'll pass on your message to one of our support team leads and ask them to investigate the delay now for you.

@davinchi - While I can't comment on another player's account, I can say that the KYC process requires specific documentation that needs to be provided. Without this we are unable to complete the checks necessary for verification which will cause delays while we reach out to request the correct information.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
