Sometimes governments seem to forget who's the employer (taxpayers) and who's the employees (politicians and civil servants).

Don't you just hate insubordinate employees?

I am amused that we have made a new ATH of $29,700 and no one seems to have noticed.  Including myself.

I don't like saying, "I told you so" but I did mention it in my morning greeting.

I realize nobody actually reads it but it's a good way to keep my post count up.  Cheesy

Apologies, you did indeed.  Your Guinness post was quite captivating though!

A JPG is worth 1k words.

...it seems that the odds are pretty decent that Yefi is going to have daily employment for at least the next 83 days...

Indeed.

The top 17 days in Bitcoin's history are also the most recent 17 days. Let's keep it up. Let's keep Yefi busy.

Speaking of which, thanks for reminding me to merit Yefi. I appreciate all his hard (?) work.

Just fools "taking profit" by buying fiat.

Eventually all they have left is a bunch of fiat and they become bitter no-coiners on the outside looking in.

Happy New Year eastern standard time zone.

Another option is cool it below the ignition point. Liquid nitrogen would be a start.

I thought about adding the use of a CO2 fire extinguisher (basically dry ice) but only for a very small amount.

Who has liquid nitrogen handy?

fire blankets

Good for letting it burn out.
1410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 01, 2021, 02:36:26 AM
So ammonium nitrate is an oxidizer, so you cannot put out an ammonium nitrate/sugar mix that's burning with water or powder or any other fire extinguisher. So how do you put it out?

asking for a friend.

Do what the fire department does with a burning magnesium engine block... keep it from spreading and let it burn itself out.

Too large an amount.. GTFO before it goes Beirut or Texas City.

Nothing like finishing the year with a flourish.

Now we take jackpots for granted.

Happy New Year. Go Bitcoin go.

Happy New Year all you old world folks.

Here we still have over 4 hours to wait but I squeezed us some fresh limes and made us some Margaritas in honor of international time.

Salud!

What on earth is that thing?

TBH, some things are best left to the imagination.

Even the imagination recoils.

I thought I saw what looked like a similar robot being used by US Airforce on their base. One purpose was a roving patrol. So it's like, literally, a watchdog. It goes around for a few hours, then goes home to it's doghouse to recharge. A few robot dogs do this rotation all day and the base has all day and all night robot dogs doing sentry duty.

If anything topples them over, that raises an alarm and the other soldiers come in to investigate.

What year was The Terminator?

I see we're dancing around WOPCP again.

Let's get up over $30k, keep going, and settle this thing once and for all.
1417  Economy / Speculation / Re: I doubt Bitcoin will dip below 20k again on: December 31, 2020, 02:30:19 PM
It would take a 30% crash to go all the way down to $20k.

That might have happened if most of the recent rise was FOMOing retail noobs. That's not the case.

The institutional investors who drove this rally don't panic sell. It too years for them to decide to buy. It will take years for them to sell.

Yes, we might see a 30% (or greater) dip after this bull run peaks later in 2021 or in 2022 but not now when the rally has barely begun.

I agree that there's only the tiniest chance of it ever going as low as $20k and we'll most likely never see it that low again.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Another day, another ATH ($29300 Stamp), another correction (actually2 mini-corrections) and right back where we were yesterday... currently $28512USD/$36350CAD Bitcoinaverage).

Last chance to hit $30k before midnight. Regardless, it's been a very good year.

Go Bitcoin go.
