1401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: correction or start of a bear market? on: November 17, 2021, 11:12:43 PM
Hi all, Last week my friend once said about the current and future situation of the crypto market. he said that if bitcoin can't stay above 60k, then altcoins will be hit by a big correction. At that time I doubted what was said because I saw the market situation was quite good. but seeing today started to believe it a little. further said that the end of this month until the end of the year, will be the most important point for the crypto market because at that time it will be a representation of the situation going forward. he said if by the end of the year some big coins pass their support point, then the market will not be fine going forward. but on the other hand if big coins like bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and others can stay at current prices, the start of the year will be a pretty good situation to trading.

judging from what he said, I conclude that right now the market is at a very important time. but even so I didn't fully believe what he said. I stick to my decision that currently hold is the best despite the red market today.
Your friend probably read an article or news on the internet where they do the price prediction and told you the same. Those are all speculation. The crypto market is unpredictable. Just read what you wrote. It is all "ifs" and "maybes". The current crash is because of some FUDs being spread. And we needed this correction. Just zoom out a little and you will see how much we went up within few weeks. A little correction means is always healthy. Don't worrying a lot about the "correction" or the "bear market". Take advantage of the price dip and start investing.
1402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin run up is coming on: November 17, 2021, 11:04:54 PM
You are so sure about all those inflations and how banks will use peoples money to invest in bitcoin while people will be holding those "worthless" money, yet you say you don't have the "balls" to invest in bitcoin? Why? Why don't you invest your fiat money (which according to you will become worthless) and hold bitcoins? Or are you just trying to FOMO people into investing in crypto currencies? That's not the best way to introduce people to the market. You can do it in a better way. Maybe explain it to them why bitcoin "might" be the future and why it is better than fiat currency.
1403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: November 17, 2021, 12:42:14 AM
Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

Hello everybody. I think everyone who has ever been involved in cryptocurrency investments is interested in the question of how to protect themselves from scams and loss of money. Recently I learned about the CheckDot project, which creates a platform with which it will be possible to get an assessment of any project in the blockchain world. In theory, this way you can get rid of a lot of scams, but does it help?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

So is CheckDot another token/cryptocurrency which investigates if a project is a scam or not? The project itself sounds like a scam project to be honest (no surprised they are on BSC). How are they going to verify if a project is a scam or not? Why do we even need them? If someone is investing in a project, he should do his own research and see if there are any red flags or not. And then there are also many auditing services that let you know if a project is going to be legit or likely going to scam everyone.
And no. No projects will be able to get rid of scams. Scams are here to stay. You just have to be careful.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They will try to stop Bitcoin on: November 16, 2021, 11:57:17 PM
maybe at this time all parties are trying to stop bitcoin in any way where many countries oppose bitcoin for their people, but in reality this cannot be realized because bitcoin cannot be stopped by countries in the world today, for example, what has been done by China, where they strongly oppose the circulation of bitcoin in the country, but until now it still can't be done for the bitcoin replacement process where they can only prohibit their people from adopting bitcoin but can't stop it
I don't think anyone is trying to stop bitcoin. Why would they do that? They know they can stop and they know don't get anything from that. So they are trying to do something even  better. They are trying to regulate it in such a way that they somehow bring indirect control over bitcoin and other crypto currencies. This is what they really want. Things would be easier for the government if they can control it instead of trying to stop it. More easier for them to control the people.
1405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How you deal with your emotions after losing a lot of money on rug pulls? on: November 16, 2021, 01:06:36 AM
I know it isn’t easy for us to get over or move on with these rug pulls, but I wanna ask the community here. For the past few months, I’ve experienced the “expect the unexpected” moments without warning. To be honest, I have accumulated losses of more than $2,000 in failed meme coins, shitcoins, play-to-earn games that ended up being rug pulled.

I am aware of the risks and the amount that I can afford to lose, but it’s just that I find it hard to make that money back that I have hardly earned. But good thing I didn’t go all-in with my entire savings, and that’s a good thing. I just can’t resist myself from being emotional despite that I’m aware of the risks, and my heart was emotionally hurt too.

I wanna hear from you guys on how you deal with these rug pulls after losing huge amounts? Like how many days can you get back on track after being so emotional? Or what you’ve been doing in order to move on faster after you lost money on these rug pulls?
You said it yourself. You invested in "meme coins" and "shit coins". You knew what you were doing. You just wanted to make some huge profit over night. So you should have known that you might lose everything overnight and this is more likely to happen rather than making profit. So why is it hard for you to move on?
The best way to deal with your emotions is to be already prepared. Instead of thinking that you are making investment, you should be thinking that you are donating your money to scammers. This way you won't feel bad when you get scammed.
1406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH OR BSC on: November 13, 2021, 04:46:09 PM
You should choose Ethereum all the way if fees isn't something you are worried about. Even if fees was an issue, go try some other coins, but wouldn't suggest the BSC network. Ethereum network has a better ecosystem, trusted by thousands of people, better security and decentralized. BSC has a shitty ecosystem and you will see most of the scam coins operate under the BSC network. And they claim to be decentralized, but if you do a little digging, you will see how centralized the exchange owned network is.
1407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best ways to invest money? on: November 13, 2021, 04:22:56 PM
Cryptocurrency is The best way to invest money. Invest in bitcoin and other promising coins to earn money to have a better living and to have a freedom financially. Every people investing has only one purpose in "to earn money". But for specific goal, it depends on a every person because there are people who want to be rich through investing and other are just making money to survive for a daily living.
So you are saying the best way to invest your money is to put in on something very volatile and risky? Lol, no it isn't. You shouldn't be investing in bitcoin or any crypto currencies if you can't afford to lose it. And I don't think there is any person over here that isn't investing in crypto currencies to become rich. Of course everyone makes investments to earn and become rich eventually.
-snip-
other are just making money to survive for a daily living.
Then they shouldn't be investing at all. Investing in bitcoin won't give you money to make ends meet. Based on how volatile the market is, they probably won't be able to pay their bills the next day. Invest if you are planning to hold long term.
1408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to get rewards in crypto on: November 13, 2021, 02:19:13 PM
Never heard of CheckDot but you can get rewards by staking coins like Cardano (ADA) or Algorand (Algo). And there are many more other coins that you can stake/delegate and earn rewards passively. The more you stake, the more your rewards will be. Would be better if you don't stake in an exchange and use your own wallet where you control the keys. This will make the network you support more decentralized. And don't go around collecting dust rewards for doing tasks or some clicking. They will likely reward you with shitcoins and you will be wasting a lot of your precious time.
1409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling fraud and it settlements on: November 13, 2021, 01:29:14 PM
A lot of cases have been rising in the gambling industry, as gambling become popular and more players and new site are coming up on a daily basis, a lot of fraud cases have been reported some of the cases are resolved and some other never get resolved which have lead to bad reputation for some gambling platforms.
My question is what are the legal procedures to follow in a gambling fraud cases?
You think those new casino that is here to scam people didn't take enough precaution to hide themselves? Once you get scammed by them, there is nothing you can do. You can take legal steps, but it will lead you no where. You will end up wasting your time. That's why, don't play in a casino that has no reputation at all. Play in casino that has been around for a long time. Look for casinos that are registered and has licensed. If you get scammed by them, at least you can do something about it.
1410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin would be next gamechanger? on: November 13, 2021, 04:13:59 AM
If you have invested in ADA, then stick with ADA. Maybe diversify your portfolio by investing in some other good coins like Solana or DOT, but don't go hunting for coins that will give you 10x 20x over night. Invest for long term, not for short term. Meme coins are trending now, but you have to be very lucky to invest in the right coin at the right time. If you invest in one of those meme coins, you will most likely end up with nothing. Hundreds of meme coins, few of them gets pumped and rest of them dies immediately.
1411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Tesla accepting Bitcoin payments and ..... Doge ? on: November 13, 2021, 12:32:54 AM
Didn't they already stop accepting bitcoin and said they will no longer do it until bitcoin mining becomes "green"? And the Doge payment thing also sounds like a stunt (or maybe true). I have heard someone found the code and the payment said "Shiba". People were starting to say that Tesla is doing this to manipulate the market and create speculation among people. Imagine people FOMOing on Doge and SHIB. That would pump the market and you know would would make all the profit and crash the market...
1412  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: November 12, 2021, 10:52:12 PM
Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years

Why ? They are starting to ask to many personal questions and monitoring people like they are criminals / terrorists etc ...even if they are not ...
Govs want to much control on people...the world is becoming very strange and it all started with 9/11 attacks ...  to many coincidences

To many things happened in 2 decades :
Terrorists attacks / Wars on Terror / Arab spring  / SARS / Climate Change / Covid / Global trade problems  and so on ...

Before 2001 life was normal ...does how are older remember ... now they are not even hidding it / no longer in the shadows what they are trying to do ...

Is it just to take peoples freedom for the "greater good" ?  Will people allow their freedom to be taken ?
Why do you want banks to die? It doesn't have to die. Bank, fiat and crypto currencies can be used side by side, concurrently. We are not in war with banks or fiat currency. Even if crypto currencies to replace fiat or the bank, it won't be happening anytime soon. Maybe after decades, but not now. And you are saying that terrorism financing is the reason why crypto will replace banks? I mean wouldn't the exact opposite be happening?
1413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are crypto owners naturally paranoid? on: November 12, 2021, 03:54:08 PM
It seems to me that it would be safer (and more convenient) to keep your crypto on an exchange (coinbase, blockfi etc) than cold wallet. Wouldn't the odds be greater that you mess up your cold storage than a large exchange being hacked or whatever (even if they are hacked, that wouldn't necessarily mean you would lose any coins, whereas if you are hacked that's a different story). I ordered a ledger nano X but it seems that the exchanges are still the way to go based on probabilities. What are your thoughts?
They are not being paranoid. If you own a large number of coins that's worth hundred thousands of dollars, you wouldn't want to hold it in an exchange. There is a probability that the exchange might get hacked. There is a chance the exchange might confiscate your funds even if you have done nothing. There is a chance that the exchange might freeze your funds because someone else did something and they somehow linked you into it. The coins you store in the exchange aren't yours. Not your keys, not your coins. If you hold the funds in a cold storage that you own, none of the above will happen other than getting scammed.
1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin investment on: November 12, 2021, 03:33:57 AM
I have some capital and I will like to know the right token to investment in. Am new to NFTs and will love to get your opinion on which NFT to buy for a short term base.
Before you start investing, know the risks. NFTs are very risky. It's new and you have to learn a lot about it. I don't think NFTs are good for short term base and since you are new, you shouldn't do it at all. Altcoins also comes with risks, but are less riskier than buying NFTs I guess. Invest in top altcoins like Ether (ETH), Solana (SOL) and maybe Cardano (ADA). All of these are for long term base. Not short term. You shouldn't invest in crypto currencies if you are looking for short term base.
1415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple CEO Tim Cook invests on Crypto on: November 11, 2021, 11:15:38 PM
Apple CEO Tim Cook have invested on cryptocurrency. He has disclosed it in a recorded interview. He mentioned it as part of his diversified portfolio. His investment was from his personal point, and Apple doesn't have any plans of investing/accepting cryptocurrency. This is a big news, and were into discussion around the social media platforms. Majority of the huge company CEO's own crypto. This is a big thing and an indication of growth of cryptocurrency network.

Source : The Verge
Why is this a big news? This shouldn't be a big news. We shouldn't make this a big news. All it will do is enable them to manipulate the market at their will. Tim Cook invested in BTC, people will FOMO, price will pump. Tim Cook will dump his coin and say something bad about crypto currencies, FUDs are going to spread, people will start dumping, price will fall. Who made all the profit? Tim Cook. Who will reinvest his profit during the dump? Tim Cook. Who is the fool and lost everything? You.
1416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sky Vegas could face legal action due to promotional emails on: November 11, 2021, 08:45:51 PM
If it was an error/mistake, then yeah, its an expensive mistake. Those who are addicted and trying to recove could actually sue them. I guess others who aren't will also try to take advantage of this. The casino should have been more careful.
-snip-
so while I have the tendency to think this could have been an honest mistake
-snip-
Even if it was an honest mistake, they won't be able to prove it. At least they will be learning a lesson from this and make sure they take proper precaution next time.
1417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we avoid scams in blockchain? on: November 11, 2021, 08:22:48 PM
Hello everyone, I'm interested in the issue of checking projects and tokens.

There are many projects and each shows users big plans and ambitions. But as practice shows, not all projects keep their word and people often lose money by investing in the wrong project.

Recently I came across a project that was created to solve this problem - CheckDot. They have a nice strategy for checking and verifying projects, which seems to be useful.

What do you think about this problem and what solutions do you see?

The project itself sounds like a scam lol. And we don't need another project to determine if a project is a scam or not. People can do their own due diligence and research if a project is a scam or now. After all doing your own research is the first step of investing in crypto currencies. Scams are easy to spot. They have obvious signs, but people still ignores them because they think that the new project can give them 1000x within few days. Like look at squidgame token. People in reddit were warning each other that it is a scam, but still other people invested and lost everything.
1418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take stock or hodl ? on: November 10, 2021, 11:01:38 PM
So with the current peak on Bitcon, Ethereum (and nearly all of my alt coins) is it wise to:

1) Take out the profit to either bank or reinvest when there is another dip
2) HODL in the hope that it keeps rising and rising
This is something you should decide. Not us. Have you reached your profit goal? Then take your profits.  Do you want to reinvest your profit and start over again, then do it. But you will never know when the next dip will be. If you can time everything perfectly (which is very unlikely) then you will be able to make massive profit. But the risk is high. On other hand, if you are planning for a long term profit, then keep holding till you are ready to take your profit and leave. The risk is less and you will very highly likely make some good profit in the long run.
1419  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurrency trading is safe than forex trading on: November 10, 2021, 08:59:10 PM
I made post here when i ask how to trade cryptocurrency many people answer me well. I don’t knw if there is how i will link that post to this new one.
I just understand that cryptocurrency trading is very well safe compare to forex trading. In cryptocurrency when bitcoin is high like this time, everyone will fine in the market. But greedy trader will not be fine. Everyone will be fine because if you loose don’t sell on loss just wait and the market will come back. i read about fundamental and technical analysis but I use different one which I dnt knw the name.
I use binance and in binance i watch the market and i will see hot/gainers/loosers/24hr vol. I will check the coins that are hot and i will check them in loosers and buy them and wait for 24hrs they will go back to gain and i sell. But in forex if the market is against you, its against you. What is the name of my style, is it fundamental or analization.
This is one of the worst way of trading. Both forex and crypto currency trading has risks. In fact, the crypto market is more volatile, hence making it more risky than the other.
You check "hot gainers/losers in 24 hours volume and invest in coins that has lost a lot? Don't do that. You will end up investing in coins that were trending due to a pump and got dumped. There is no certainty that the price will go back up again in next 24 hours. You trading in all the wrong way. Reevaluate your strategy!
1420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PooCoin vs CoinMarketCap on: November 10, 2021, 08:40:52 PM
Heard of the name Poocoin, but didn't know it was a DAPP created on binance smart chain until today. I always thought it was a platform that lists all shitcoins and tracks the data, hence the name haha. Still wouldn't use it. Maybe it's the name. Anyway, Coinmarketcap does indicate wrong data, but that happens rarely and are fixed as soon as possible. If you don't like CMC, you can try coingeko. They have been very reliable and don't usually list coins that are likely scam (cmc does that. Coingeko didn't list squid game token and has warned users. CMC listed, but warned after investors got scammed). Or you can try Blockfolio. Has a neat interface.
