1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 04, 2021, 10:21:37 PM
We have had several hyped coins and token lately and many have been a victim of hyped projects that ended up crashing in not long after attaining a very little profit margin. Been extremely careful with how we go about our analysis will help save a lot. Just wondering why developers would come up with nice projects only to crash after a short while keeping investors in losses.
Come up with "nice project"? Have you seen any of those and read the whitepaper (most of them don't even have a whitepaper probably). They are shit project and people know it. Yet they still invest because they hope they can take the advantage of the pump and get rich over night. But the developers are more cunning and they dump it before anyone can take any profit. Look at those projects. They either are impossible to achieve or are just some random project that has nothing new to offer. Just invest your money in coins that has good reputation and hold them!
1442  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: November 04, 2021, 09:52:30 PM
There is no such thing as too much money. At least for most people. They have money, they will want more. There is no end to it. More like a race to be more rich than someone else. I would say someone is financially stable if the person has a stead flow of money (like from a stable job or investments with least risk), has no roof over their head, food and shouldn't have to worry about paying any bills (hospitals included). Even if the person loses the job, he wouldn't be in a big trouble and will have enough money to survive till he finds his next one. In other words, he doesn't have to worry about money at all.
1443  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: November 03, 2021, 11:31:19 PM
As far as I see, a lot of people here are very happy when they read news about this or that bank adopting bitcoin exchange, offering crypto related services or doing something related to crypto.

At some point I understand that people like it because they want to see crypto everywhere but the downside of this is that crypto gets more regulated and I think it losses the magic/spell that it had before. Personally, I think that more adoptions and regulations won't do any good for bitcoin, it will just become a little bit different digital version of fiat. I think as time goes, anonimity, decentralization and these words are fading away and they turn into myths like Greek gods.
It would be good or bad depending on the way they would be handling bitcoins. More likely bad. If banks starts to offer crypto currency services like buying, selling, storing and saving, more people would trust them and start using their services. More people trusting banks to hold their coins mean more power to the banks. They will be holding most probably a lot of coins that can have impacts on the market. Again, decentralization would be lost. Why do we need banks when bitcoin was already invented so we be our own bank? Wasn't one of the main goals of bitcoin was to avoid any third party to control your finances?
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with a potential like the Ethereum. on: November 03, 2021, 08:46:48 PM
Hello,
Can anyone show me a list of some coins with a good potential like the Ethereum?

Thank you.
You can try investing in Solana and Cardano. Make sure you do your own research first. Read about those projects and how they work. If you think they have a good future, then invest only money that you can afford to lose. I would still keep most of my investment in Ethereum. Once the Eth 2.0 and sharding upgrade (which will fix scalabilty and gas fee issue) rolls out, I am sure the price of ether would go even high (but updates are not happening anytime soon).

-snip-
What does "going to moon so hard" mean? The price will rise 100X or even higher?
-snip-
Yeah, stop looking for coins that will go 100x within few days. And stop promoting random articles on your posts...
1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'Squid Game' cryptocurrency scams $2 million on: November 02, 2021, 10:25:01 PM
On Oct. 26 a coin called $SQUID was launched by a group with no affiliation to the creators of the hit Netflix show -- the first red flag. As memecoins sometimes do, it exploded in growth. After listing at 12 cents, on early Monday morning it briefly hit a peak of $2,800.

Then, as memecoins are also known for doing, it all crashed. In an instant, the price fell to one third of one cent, where it remains at time of writing.

So the question is how people still believe in all that stuff? Smiley Easy money is very hard to catch. Especially while there are coins like Crypton privacy coin, which gained 50% right after the new listing and gained 50% more in the next 2 days.. People still look for some scams on their own. OMG, will it ever end?

It was expected. I read an article and there were way too many red flags, yet people still invested in that token hoping to make some quick profit. Not being able to sell their tokens ("anti-dump mechanism" is what the scammers called it) was another huge red flag. Even crypto aggregator sites like coingeko issued warning and didn't list them on their site. Don't know why coinmarketcap did. They warned users, but it was too late. Anyway, are you here to shill for this coin you are talking about? Don't.

I'm not surprised that this happened. These events with meme tokens should already teach people that nothing good will come of it and this is all lottery level.Losses will be for many and only the creators will have a profit.
Why is everyone calling this a meme coin. It wasn't a meme coin.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 02, 2021, 10:20:23 PM
A few statistics: 8,000 US dollars, 400 days, 5 billion, the most awesome investment. This is SHIB.
The price needs to go more up x2000 to reach 0.1 USD. The market cap is around 38.5 Billion. If it reaches 0.1 USD, the market cap will be around 77 Trillion (calculation might be wrong, but this is just an estimation). The market cap of bitcoin is only 1.1 trillion. You still think Shib has the potential to take over bitcoin? 0.1 USD is unrealistic. Won't happen anytime soon. It might maybe after decades if meme coins are still a thing, but not now.
1447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin - a joke or a way to make money? on: November 01, 2021, 11:33:35 PM
Everybody knows that Dogecoin was created as a joke, but now it is worth real money. Do you think it is real to earn on it or it's all a big bubble?
It was created as a joke. Hype caused the price to increase. And now it has a very strong community. Are you asking if you can make profit from it? No one can answer that. It's a  meme coin. The price depends on trends and hype. Once the hype is over, it might die. Or it might not. A risky investment. If you can afford to lose everything and want to risk a little lot, then you can try investing in doge. Or else stick with bitcoin and ethereum. They will give you good profit in the long run.
1448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: November 01, 2021, 08:17:57 PM
Don't wait for the dip. If you can afford to buy ether now, then go ahead and buy. Keep holding for long term and you will be making some nice profit. People still say Ether is still undervalued. Some predict it can easily reach $10,000 during a bull run. Better to invest in Eth instead of investing in some shitcoins. Put most of your money in bitcoin and then ethereum. Make sure you store them safely and then forget about them for years. Come back and enjoy your profit.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SQUID GAMES TOKEN CRASHES on: November 01, 2021, 08:09:52 PM
After a few days ago I saw a lot of influencers on Tiktok discussing the Squid game token that flew 3500% in 3 days turned out to be abandoned after the hypeya stopped.  I can't afford to think of those who got stuck at the top and took all the losses on those tokens.  Is there anyone here who bought it?
This is how our risks if you buy a token or coin that only follows a clear trend without fundamental. The first will be the luckiest, and the one at the top of the burden.
Source https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2021/11/01/squid-game-token-crashes-developers-say-theyve-left-the-project/
Lol, never even bothered to check what this project was about. Just knew it was taking the advantage of the hype around the netflix show. How stupid do people have to be to fall for such scams? I don't feel bad for them honestly. I guess they thought you could be making huge profit overnight. There grammatical errors and typos on the whitepaper. There were things written that had no explanation and yet people thought it was a legit project. At least they have all learned their lesson.
1450  Economy / Economics / Re: Just because prices are high, doesn't mean that is a good investment. on: October 30, 2021, 02:49:29 PM
No, high price does not determine or mean that an asset is a good investment. Any project can be given any price as long as the team behind the project wants it to start from that price. Developers can decide to set the price of their coin starting from $100 when they launched the project, that doesn’t mean that the project is going to be a good investment.

So when considering an investment to make in the cryptocurrency market, it's not really advisable to be looking at how high the price of that coin is . What you should be looking at is the growth of that coin, the growth of a particular coin is what shows the success.

If it's a decentralized currency, then no, the developers don't set the price. The market decides the price. But if most of the supply/coins are held by the developers, then yeah, they can decide/control the price. They can manipulate the price for their own advantage. And no, you shouldn't look at the "growth of the coin" (not even sure what that means) when considering the  price and investment. You should be looking at the supply and the market capitalization. A coin having a high value doesn't mean its a good coin. The supply might be very low causing the price to be very high. Look at the marketcap.
Some coins will have a high price and when you check the chart you will see that it is mostly going down and not even increasing that much. So, it’s not worth it at all.
So according to you, when the price starts to crash, the coin is useless?
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputable dice sites with instant/flash bets on: October 30, 2021, 02:30:48 PM
You can try CryptoGames if you haven't. They don't have "flash bets", but they do have very fast auto bet feature. You can set your strategies, set the number of rolls you want and it will start betting automatically. The higher your bet amount, the faster will your bets will be. I think it's better than doing flash bets. Takes a bit longer to see the end result, but at least you have more control over your bets. You can stop whenever you want.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet is best for Pancakeswap on: October 30, 2021, 01:31:08 PM
You can try using Metamask on desktop. It's a browser extension. Pancakeswap, so it's on Binance Smart Chain. You have to manually add the BSC network to metamask. Instructions can be found on binance academy page. Just google it. Then go to pancakeswap. Connect your wallet and you are good to go. Make sure you add the correct token contract address if you are importing tokens manually (go to coinmarketcap, look for the token, select network and click on "add to metamask" or just go to the official token page and you will find the contract address over there). And also make sure you download the correct browser extension. There are fake ones out there.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: October 30, 2021, 01:30:24 AM
Hi, I'm just trying to plan ahead here and assuming that we are going to have a bear market at some point in the next couple of years, I would like to try to put my bull market profits to good use. I was wondering what is your strategy to continue making money when things turn bearish?

Whether it's shorting, leveraging, trading, earning interest, finding hidden gems, longing coins that perform well in a bear market, investing in gold or the stock market or anything else, I'm interested to hear what strategies you are planning to use and how you are planning to execute them in order to continue making money. If you made money during the last bear market I would be interested to hear how you did that as well.

Thanks.
You just have to do one thing. When it bearish and the price dips, invest more. Keep investing what you can afford to lose. In the long run, you will be making massive profits. If you are looking for making profit in short run during bear market, then you can try trading. Take advantage of the volatility and earn some quick profit. But the risk is high. Avoid looking for "new" altcoins that will give you some quick profit. Most of those coins are just pump and dump scam coins. And you should be careful when trying to earn interest with bitcoin. To earn interest you will have to store your coins to wallets that you don't own. Not your keys, not your coins. If the key owners get hacked or disappear, you lose everything.
1454  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack making 120,000 dollars disappear from my account! on: October 30, 2021, 01:04:42 AM
Hello,
I was really excited when I won a combination of 2 sportsbets in football (PSG-LILLE and some other German match that I forgot). I placed 2 big bets of 20 XMR each on correlated events from these 2 matches (because the system wouldn't let me bet it all on one event, that's because the max win per bet is 100,000 euros equivalent), for a total possible win of approximately 20 times those 2 amounts. And boom, I won! I see on my account 899 XMR. Pretty amazing huh? Not yet.

After a while I see all of a sudden my account at 430 XMR. Whaaaaaaat??? I contact the support she tells me that she sees I placed bets after my win. Not even close. My bet history shows I did not. The reality of the matter is, one of those bets have passed from the winning status to some weird status, neither won or lost, with some orange line besides them (plus some 2 or 3 very small bets of 1 XMR each). Then all of a sudden my bet history disappears. Now I've screen recorded all of my bets as I always do with such amounts. Am I allowed to win or what?

Has anyone has had any problems with this casino before? The chat says they will contact me later. But this is starting to become seriously inconvenient.

Plus I've had a problem before with their live dealer hitting my 20 in blackjack (yes, because they had some issues with their buttons) and they refused to refund me the equivalent of 20,000 dollars because of that. Now I saw they had pretty good Sportsbet promotions so I said why not Sportsbet. But now this is seriously starting to get ridiculous.
If there are any Fortunejack representatives over here, try reaching out to them. Explain them what happened. If they aren't answering or aren't being helpful at all, then move it to the scam accusation board. Post all proofs you have (transaction IDs, screenshots and the screen record you have) and then let them know about the thread. They will discuss the matter over there and the community can judge who was right and who was wrong. Really weird that they erased your betting history.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will cat coins 1000x next? on: October 30, 2021, 12:53:02 AM
you might have heard about the people who bought dog coins like Shiba last year and are now millionaires. They bought $1000 worth of Shiba and now have millions of dollars.

Will dogs continue to be the meme coins that 1000x or will cat coins take over? There are a few on the market already like Dinger, but they are not so popular compared to dog coins.

Thoughts?
They invested in Shiba, they got lucky and now they are millionaires. There are also thousands of people that invested thousands of dollars in meme coin last year and now they are left with nothing. They got unlucky. Check the market. You will see hundreds of meme coins. Good luck choosing one that will go 1000x in the future. Once the meme coin craze ends, everyone that joined late will lose everything. Stop hunting for coins that will make you rich over night. Invest in coins that will give you good profit in the long run. Coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice against plako or slot on: October 29, 2021, 10:56:35 PM
If you are looking for a simple easy to play game where you just click a button or a two, then Dice is what you would want to play. Easy to learn, and fun to play. If you are looking for flashy games with music and "features", then play slots. Different slots have different rules. Not sure what plako is, but if you are talking about plinko, then yeah, its fun too.
Make sure you look at the house edge. House edge is what matters the most when you gamble. You will see different slots with different house edges. Some of them are insane. Most dice game has reasonable house edge and provably fair. So stick to dice if you are willing to play for long term.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin craze on: October 29, 2021, 10:25:42 PM
I respect shiba inu token for one purpose and that's the team, honestly I've seen successful projects since 2020 that aren't that popular but as time goes on these projects brings insane profits to investors, the fact is you really can't tell which one has a serious team and which one isn't, it's just that meme coins are 💯 more dangerous
Those projects that bring profit after time goes are the ones that are being actively developed and trying to bring something new to the crypto market. I doubt any of those new meme coins (shitcoins) will give you insane profit in the long run. Those coins are made for pumping and dumping. Ask why people are investing in those coins. They all are going to say that they are doing it for making some quick gains. Once the meme craze is over, I doubt any of those meme coins will survive.
1458  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where to report gambling fraud? on: October 29, 2021, 07:13:53 PM
Running away with a small amount when a casino's reputation is far greater than that then it's quite opposite of what happens.

I remember game protect used to post a lot here about casino scams and how to get money back from them through legal means, I'm not sure though if he ever made any success in any of his cases.

Licensed casinos can be sued in the legal court of the country that issued the license.
There is something known as selective scamming and few casinos over here has been accused of performing such acts. Some even manage to get away, and some users over here promote those casinos. They usually give back their funds or winnings once they get exposed. So this guy can post on scam accusation thread and hope that casino gives back whatever they owe him. Look at game protects trust rating and you will know that why is just a scam himself.
1459  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance issues on: October 29, 2021, 04:11:43 AM
I just recently tried to get onto my Binance account and it is saying that it no longer works in usa. How can I retrieve my money that I have in this account. any help would be great. Am I screwed
No one over here can help you. And I don't think you are screwed. Like others said, contact support. They will highly likely help you move your funds from Binance global to Binance US. You will have to pass identity verification though on the Binance US version. And Scammers might now try to contact you over here saying that they can help you retrieve your funds. Just ignore them.
1460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins have the potential for growth? on: October 29, 2021, 04:06:49 AM
Not sure about stellar, but Polygon (Matic) does have some good use cases. So investing in it might give you some good gains in the future. If you are looking for other altcoins, you may want to have a look at Solana (SOL) and Cardano (ADA). Both of them are currently being actively developed, each providing solution to problem what current top crypto currencies face. Whatever you invest in, make sure you do you own research. And stay away from shitcoins (too many newbie users shilling those shitcoins).
