They are hoping that the bitcoin community will give them a free loan... aka pre-orders. So assuming a margin of 40% they'll need to sell about $17 million worth of this crap - about 7,000 boxes? Are they insane or simply detached from reality? Cointerra has its own private farm packed full of their previously manufactured (garbage) HW. I believe that the next one might carry us north of $10,000. The longer time we spend here, the more explosive it gets. The supermove from $2 to $266 (133x price appreciation) took 17 months. Extrapolate that with the starting point of $340 in 2014-4-11.

In fact, the information I provided showed that the SP35 would be the most valuable miner if all delivery times where immediate, network hash rate was static, BTC price was static and cost of electricity was static. It also showed that the SP20 would be forth, with the S3+ B9 second and an AM Tube in third place. As it stands, the SP20 is just poor value. That's just how it is and nothing you or I say will change that. Only Spondoolies can fix it. Then why are you so shy to present yourself as an AM shareholder before giving mining advices? Wouldn't it be fair for everyone to know that you have a biased opinion just like you accuse me of having? |

I thought the Tubes are using the same BE200 chips that FC/AM is selling. I also thought that it's logical that if chips don't sell good considering there are so many distributors, manufacturers and an open source project the miner called Tube which uses the same chips will not sell good.

Canary must have sold at least 100 though based on the bitcoin address and the price in his group buy thread. Canary as a distributor sold less units than what I had in my SP30 GB. I wouldn't brag with that number if I were him. Also being on a third batch means nothing if you don't know how big are the batches. SP-Tech had 1k SP30 units in August and more in September. If Canary sold 100 units then the total number of the Tubes in the wild must be less than 1000. Not that much of a performance. It shows no such thing. You don't need to post a comment in that thread to buy a Tube. Sure, but compare it to the boom of the S3/S4 replies and you will definitely see a difference in popularity. I have a question for people who bought in October/December last year and sold on this dip: How is this dip any different from the one on 17 December when the exchange rate was ~380$? Why sell now and not back then? What about the $343 dip in April? What's different now? Your scenario is NOT very clear... But you are suggesting people who bought at the high in the $1,100 territory selling NOW, but NOT selling on December 17. I doubt that there are very many people who meet that narrow category who may have done nothing between then and NOW and just HODLed for 9 months then panicked... sounds a little ridiculous and like you are just trolling or attempting to engage in unnecessary provocative and unproductive drama regarding answers that you could easily figure out yourself with a little bit of attempt at empathizing (by mentally putting yourself in those kinds of shoes).
