Why do I have to wait until October? When in October (received no precise date, even)? Why is S-T planning to hold this refund for so long?
I guess I can safely say that all people which are going to receive a refund, got the same email from SPT .. (I'm part of Roadstress' GB, and got one too). That is, compensation for all the units which qualify for one is going to happen in October. 10-20 days away is not that long now. If you wanted a coupon, you could get that as soon as they create them based on your option. This is not a group buy but new purchase for October SP31s which I paid for a week ago (I ordered them before they were out of stock on their website). Then I received e-mail saying that they ran out of stock for SP31s so they offered me SP35s for November instead. I refused and requested the refund and got another mail saying that suddenly they have got SP31s in stock (allegedly magic happened and someone cancelled an order for 3 x SP31s) and if I prefer them instead of the refund. I said I won't take them now because I already cancelled the planned hosting for October. Also, because they haven't (purposely) precised what "refund in October" means I could receive it on 31st October if they feel like it. They can pay their compensation for my SP30s in October as they mentioned before but they should refund me my current transaction right away. Basically, last week they borrowed about 10k from me until October. It's a great deal. Free loan with no interest and I didn't even write down the terms of a loan. I'm probably the best bank which has ever existed. Basically, lets face the truth. I'm dumb |

People, this thread is out of control. I'm tempted to split off about 100 pages of it for being offtopic, but the ST team have graciously allowed it so far despite it being a self moderated thread. Can we please stick to the topic as the signal to noise ratio for a spondoolies tech hardware thread is far too low and mostly speculation and scam accusations and name calling and other unrelated nonsense. Stay on topic please. Splitting the various discussions that go on will be impossible so I'm just going to start deleting offtopic posts.
Less posts means the topic starts to float to the bottom. SP-TECH won't let that happen. No. Our policy isn't to censor. The amount of posts I've deleted myself is practically zero. Some people are taking advantage of it. I would prefer, very much, that the thread will remain technical. Guy |

no preorder shit anymore! manage your finance needs for yourself. at most take a 10% pre-payment to grant an order. this should become the standard with all miner producers. folks, don't support this preorder shit anymore! no matter if it is KNC, Spondoolies-Tech or something else!

2 mistakes in one sentence. Most of BitFury own machines are currently not at Ghash.io China won't be relevant in 2015. Way too expensive electricity and inability to compete on cutting edge ASICs technologies. |

Ever since my SP30 GB a lot of people complained about pre-orders, yet SP-Tech seems to do just fine with them. Why can't you accept that? The only manufacturer worth considering is Bitmain, and they're in between batches. It shouldn't be more than a few days before the next batch is open. |

People moaned about pre-orders long before you came along to help fleece them. I'm sure Bitmain will have more HW soon, there's all those A1 clones, pretty sure Bitcrane ships from stock too. Otherwise it doesn't matter what's "in stock" as mining for most people in the world has quickly become a fool's errand. |

Only on their current/new hardware. My SP10 has an old 4.4.1 version still and that's the latest firmware. So that statement isn't entirely true. It runs just fine, I just thought that comment was a little off.
That is not correct. The latest version for SP10 is 1.5.4 and there is experimental 1.5.6, I think. Also it is simple to compile cgminer for SP10 and push it to /etc/bin. I never got request to update cgminer. edit: our latest cgminer version for sp10 is 4.5.0 in version 1.5.8. You will need to upgrade sw twice to latest because the line was renamed SP1x. Strange, yesterday there wasn't any new firmware for the SP10 and I check today, there is one. Now it may have the latest cgminer making that statement true now. Thanks- is it worth to update if the old firmware worked ok? 4.4.1 if you are still on it has a failover bug where if you input a pool that is dead at startup you will never failover if the dead pool remains dead at runtime. |

Update, it is the PSU, swapped out one from a working SP10 and it came up straight away.
Waiting for response for replacement request.
