well.. it is somewhat big news. what does it mean?
1482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Recovery?? on: April 12, 2013, 05:16:44 PM
mt gox is ddosed to oblivion again.
1483  Economy / Speculation / Re: stop panic, hold, and buy 1 btc on: April 12, 2013, 05:14:29 PM
let me put it another way. if you dont want this to fail. buy 1 bitcoin

that's not how the market works, dude.

people will buy when they feel comfortable with the price. bitcoin will not 'fail' but we may drop below the old all-time high.

bitcoin will fail because the whole world will see it is FAR worse than having cash or other assets when they can be  super easily manipulated by a few, when BOTS fully control the prices and when you lost ACCESS to 80% of all transaction/exchange capability.
yes, there will be bitcoins. but, who the hell would take them seriously.
all the problems it was trying to solve are in fact being created.
sometimes 1 bad publicity stunt kills a great idea. happens way too often.

and i do mean that people should just buy 1 bitcoin to keep trust going in it (not in mtgox) not too "speculate" on price volatility unless that's the only concern

1485  Economy / Speculation / Re: How smart was MtGox move to take commission to 0% in this moment? on: April 12, 2013, 04:38:22 PM
it's fine if they disable all the .01 transactions and limit orders to extent
1486  Economy / Speculation / stop panic, hold, and buy 1 btc on: April 12, 2013, 04:35:54 PM
if we don't make it hold just for stability sake then this is the end.
stop panicking and thinking about short term profits.
just start buying 1 / .5 bitcoin.
the more we have many individuals willing to buy just a bit the better it will be for everyone.
get your short term "profits" out of your mind
1487  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX: going down more often than a two dollar hooker on: April 12, 2013, 03:48:31 AM

1488  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX so let me get this straight.... on: April 12, 2013, 03:33:37 AM
Gox logic: Lag brings down prices, let's lag it for 12 hours!

gox down
1489  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MTGOX so let me get this straight.... on: April 12, 2013, 03:30:45 AM
mtgox down again.
INSANITY
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We can never survive through mass adoption without decentralized exchanges on: April 12, 2013, 03:25:48 AM
it's the end of bitcoins if the sole purpose is to manipulate pricing constantly and just make money off the newbie panic sellers.
the utility is completely destroyed. sigh
1491  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox reopens in 1 hour. Predictions? on: April 12, 2013, 01:41:06 AM
large purchases coming in at 129.. what a good day for people to arbitrage if they could
1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people complaining about manipulation? on: April 12, 2013, 01:30:35 AM
beacuse the exchange is being manipulated too easily.
the .01 transactions need to stop
they need to make it so people can't put in orders they can't fulfill either
so many things wrong. it is a manipulated market by all means
1493  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox reopens in 1 hour. Predictions? on: April 12, 2013, 01:27:12 AM
disable ALL APIS please for the next 24 hours
but does gox ever listen
1494  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox reopens in 1 hour. Predictions? on: April 12, 2013, 01:26:13 AM
mtgox.. is reopening slowly.
guess what.!!
still plenty of .01 btc trades going through. what is wrong with gox
1495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Solution 2.0Disributed mining exchange pools infinte millon seed torrent on: April 11, 2013, 11:32:07 PM
buying coins from mining pools directly. eh can't say that will help with liquidity issues
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Armaggedon!!! Do you have Bitcoins? i can help you. I can buy it. 1 Btc = 0.1$. on: April 11, 2013, 10:00:21 PM
$5 , paying higher ;n
1497  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All exchanges should halt trading on: April 11, 2013, 04:21:52 PM
Freezing is worse than anything else.

I wouldn't mind a 75% drop. Hell, after the crazy few weeks, a 90% could be healthy.
But a freeze... This leaves a really bad impression.

why? so you can buy from all the newbies who panic sold for your own personal gain?

freeze doesn't leave a bad impression it says: our software is SHIT and we are taking time to make sure that our shit software stops messing everything up. how is this not better. the problem is not the prices it's the website! just one website.
1498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All exchanges should halt trading on: April 11, 2013, 04:01:35 PM
free market my ass..................
i'm being realistic. as of now everything regarding bitcoins is tied to gox.
will this change? i hope so. but, it hasn't yet.
people are free to do whatever the want. no doubt.
however, blatant manipulation is horrible and will have horrible consequences.
it's better to have people be able to adjust than have orders be executed hours later
1499  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All exchanges should halt trading on: April 11, 2013, 03:53:06 PM
people were unable to change their orders during the lag. how is that free market?
mtgoxs platform is horrid. if they don't freeze and take care of things things will go to hell a lot faster.
they are at the moment the cause of many problems
1500  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: All exchanges should halt trading on: April 11, 2013, 03:46:38 PM
yes, it should stop
TECHNICAL GLITCHES and FLAT OUT MARKET MANIPULATION (.001btc orders), and adding UNFUNDED ORDERS. etc
is NOT FREE MARKET. it's MANIPULATION.....................

just to be clear. technical glitches, abuse, DDOS all that stuff is NOT FREE MARKET. don't be calling it what it's not.
