1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a global currency ? on: August 11, 2022, 11:10:42 PM
I don’t think it would be easy for bitcoin to become a global currency since not many governments seem to be interested in legalising it. As no country would like to lose control of its financial system, I doubt if bitcoin will ever be made a legal tender. Bitcoin might be doing really well but it has a long way to go.
It cant or never be possible even though it does have huge support from the community or becoming the trend but there are just even on technical aspects which it cant be possible.
For alternative yes but for general or whole scale then it cant really be going to global.Lets just accept that fact or fate of it.

It would really be just fit out on being alternative. One of the things on what it wont make it possible is about regulation plus having that decentralized then it would really throw off the
probability.Lets just leave this to fiat or into those typical ones.

Im not that too negative but lets just realistic into this one and dont hope that much that we would be reaching this point.
Besides, the said creation is not meant to disable Fiat money and stop people from using it but the design was to make Bitcoin as an alternative mode of payment Online. If we think this becomes a global currency, that still remains reasonable however, we can't urge people to use it all the time. The government had imposed some sort of crypto regulations and in some cases, it was banned and considered illegal which hinders people to use it.
10 years, 20 years, there might have a big change but I still believe that the majority are still using fiat money, not Bitcoin.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 11, 2022, 11:37:12 AM
I do think people are starting to realise that Cancelo isn't this unstoppable force now. Everyone talks about how his power is the best in the business, but I've never really seen it honestly. I've seen some decent amount of tactical thinking from him, but that's been when he has been losing the fight, which is great. However, his power is only slightly above average I'd say in his division. If like you say, he moves up he doesn't keep that power to weight ratio, he seems to lose a bit of it.

That's the thing, he was an undisputed champion in his division before and we didn't notice his power because he is not a strong starter, he is only a good finisher but sometimes his opponent can survive even if they lose the fight. With this fight against GGG, he has not hurt GGG yet but he won the last fight, so let's see if they can really hurt GGG and maybe KO him which IMO unlikely to happen.

He has not knock down GGG IIRC, but he was more active in the ring so the judges favored him to win, however, there are fans who think that he didn't win, there was a bias judging that's why GGG loses the fight, now is the time to end that speculation, he has to win impressively, KO or not.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: August 11, 2022, 10:51:51 AM
Whatever the reason is, that will not excuse him to get away from that defeat he got in their first encounter and it might be just good for Ancajas if he will just admit that he didn't expect Martinez to be that good that's why he lost the fight and it's somehow clear that his stamina is not keeping up in the late rounds too. Maybe this time they can score a win and bring back the championship belt to the Philippines.

Yes, agree too that it's irrelevant to have such excuses why a boxer loses because of a bad condition.

Take the example of the Featherweight Title match between Gary Russell Jr. who is the champion at that time against Mark Magsayo of the Philippines. Russel is clearly not in good shape as he is suffering from a shoulder injury but decided to continue with the match. After he lose the title to Magsayo, never did he make excuses about him being in a bad shape why he lose but instead, will promise to get back strong to take a chance again on the title.

Anyway, did Ancajas really mention that he loses because of that cramps or whatever reason? If yes, then that's a big problem since he doesn't recognize the strength of Fernando Martinez as he is just pointing out his disadvantage on that night where he loses.

Ancajas should just admit his defeat and recognize that Martinez overwhelmed him as we could really see the difference if we look back at their fight, he didn't use his own height and reach advantage that's why Martinez was able to move freely towards Ancajas. I hope this time there will be a difference in his performance and that he'll do everything to redeem his loss and the belt because he will be embarrassed again if he will be defeated in their rematch as Martinez camp will surely do everything to improve their boxer.
Jerwin should go back to his basic and not change his style. I noticed that he tried too hard on the first fight against Martinez that it wasn't the Jerwin that we used to know and maybe that is the reason why he lost the fight. But since he will have a rematch, let this be a big lesson for them. Focus on the fighter itself, not the new style that you want to show your fans. He needs to be in control of the fight from the first round and dictate the tempo.
Not necessary that the will KO his opponent, just make sure he would survive and will hit more than getting hit as that's the only way to win. Who knows, if he win this rematch, we might see a Trilogy of these champions. I'm rooting for Ancajas, hoping he will be a champ again.
1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice for who are witnessing this market for the first time. on: August 10, 2022, 02:08:31 PM
Stay alert and stay calm Wink
Short and precise.
yes, instead of bothering ourselves about why this happened better think about the opportunity that this bear season gives us -  accumulation time.
Some have waited until this moment but some are unhappy, just like how these new timers respond to the market. But likely, they have to adapt to the way the market is behaving and we should be aware of the condition that not all the time we are in bull season or bearish, it changes from time to time.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What your ideas about bitcoin adoption in the future? on: August 10, 2022, 01:43:08 PM
That was uncertain OP and it remains like that forever.
And I would like to say that adoption will take so long, it was too long to imagine and it was continuous. But the only thing that makes me certain about Bitcoin is that people had enjoyed and benefited from this. Besides, that is what we wanted to happen and I believe that we are never disappointed with the trust we give to Bitcoin.
1506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is this person trying to do on: August 09, 2022, 11:21:08 PM
snipped...

It seems that some scammers are intentionally leaking their recovery seed to trap people, either greedy ones or those who would want to help out, I got this private message on my twitter account and I instantly knew that this is up to no good, what do you think this person is trying to do?.
You'd rather stay away from that person and stop making a conversation with him. Never trust strangers...
This kind of tactic is very known to us and I know you already have some views in regards to this. We can't stop this, however, we can't be fooled by them. There are a lot of scams happening on social media and I see no other intention if someone not known to you will message about things like this, asking for help or offering some services in exchange for money as it obviously a big scam.
1507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: August 09, 2022, 10:48:12 PM
Well OP, the good thing about Bitcoin has two functions as a currency and as an asset. Not really the most preferred thing because it was a risky investment and not yet globally accepted but as we talk about the future, that is really a big factor to consider and this is why people had left Gold and choose Bitcoin. Though I have both Gold and Bitcoin, as I compared them Bitcoin seems to be more profitable and I'd see the price is growing fast, unlike Gold which is pretty far.  If you are very focused on earning money, Bitcoin is gonna be the best choice.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 09, 2022, 11:24:56 AM

That's what Crawford should agree, this is a big fight but he is not in the position to demand a split purse, getting 40% is big enough though because if he wins, sure this is not going to be his last fight and he will be having big fights in the future which could potentially bring him more money.

Yeah! is aiming for profit in the future and in this fight, you won't know who could win it until they begin to fight inside the ring and Crawford has the chance to snatch the win Spence as well. If that's what happened, then his plan will be successful because what comes after that is multiple offers and he will call the split percentage earnings in his next fight. Right now, his focus should be on the fight and he really needs to come up with a good strategy to beat Spence.

I'm sure he is capable of beating Spence, but the most important is that he should accept what Spence likes for now because he is at the top. I believe Crawford receiving a lower percentage of the total purse and revenue is the only way this fight would happen.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 09, 2022, 10:48:35 AM
If Kevin Durant wants to leave the team then Nets had better let him go by a nice trade.

They like that, but does the other team who will receive Durant are willing to grant the request of the Nets, seemed like the Nets demanded a lot in exchange of Durant, so the trade is not happening until now. Maybe one more season with the Nets, if Durant will prove himself not getting eliminated easily in the playoffs, then probably some teams will be interested in dealing with the Nets.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we've gone from 1 meme coin to one hundred now ? on: August 08, 2022, 11:37:00 PM
You can compare them to the metaverse, NFT, ICO, IEO - they all keep on growing almost every day, and look, the majority of them are useless.
What I can say is that we have to move one and ignore them if possible as we can never stop people from creating meme coins or whatever it is. Just think about Bitcoin and ETH, and focus on them. I believe this will give peace to your mind.

Well, only potential projects will survive while these worthless projects seem to go dead.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 08, 2022, 12:32:42 PM
Yes, he hasn't fought that much in the States so he might not be comfortable going outside and fighting in the US. But he knows that this is a perfect opportunity for him. And for sure, Lopez will give the most money in this fight and Campa just enough for him to be in the main card against Lopez. It's a must win for him, and maybe score a big knockout.

Must win fight for Lopez indeed, I seldom bet via knockout on boxing but in this one I will be rooting for Lopez via knockout as this is what i think will be the outcome because Lopez wanted to show to the boxing community that he is the real deal and Top Rank likes him being a knockout artist so for sure Campa is cherry-picked opponent for him to look good in his comeback fight.

It will really be beneficial for Lopez to win and win this fight by a knockout. Top Rank did a good job is finding a boxer that suit Lopez style, brawler, puncher and knock out power, against a fighter like Campa who majority of us are not even familiar with him. So a cherry-picked opponent to make Lopez look very serious and could be a contender in 140 lbs at the Super Lightweight/Jr. Welterweight division.

That's probably it, he choose a fighter that are willing to give a toe to toe fight on Lopez, so for sure, at the start of the first round, we will already see some good action like Lopez fight against Kambosos, but hopefully this time he will succeed to win.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 08, 2022, 12:04:37 PM
The purse agreement? I think we are all in unison that Spence Jr, will be the A-side of this fight. He seems to be drawing more fight fans in their seat when he fight, so there is no question about it.

That's what Crawford should agree, this is a big fight but he is not in the position to demand a split purse, getting 40% is big enough though because if he wins, sure this is not going to be his last fight and he will be having big fights in the future which could potentially bring him more money.
1513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I doing the right thing on: August 05, 2022, 10:50:21 AM
If you want to make an investment, of course, you have to be very careful in choosing altcoins, because many altcoins currently cannot achieve what they have targeted, due to the state of the market that has not been completely stable and has not been at the highest value as it has happened in the past year, of the coin choices you mentioned, none of them can be promising because they are struggling to be the best for the future, So just choose a potential coin that is ranked 10 CMC and wait for the coming year the profit you will definitely get.
Well, choosing potential coins seemingly gives a bigger chance to earn some when we sell them.
However, we can't just simply think that we can make a profit right after buying them. If we are into investing, we also have to need to be patient because in this current market situation, earning seems not to be fast, unlike during the Bull season. That is why we don't just focus on simply holding but if we can manage to do trading, that much better.
1514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: August 04, 2022, 11:29:00 PM
Coming straight to the OP’s question, which coin made me a millionaire? If i would have been now a Millionaire, then why the hell I would share with other people?
So in short no one can really become that much rich through investing in a particular coin, until unless some miracle happens.
I don’t want to suggest any altcoins, as majority of them are useless and always give losses. If you want something solid, then just go for BTC or ETH. These coins will definitely give you some profit.
There are but they preferred to keep silent and never announce it in public. And why do many people still invest in crypto and fail to become rich because they are not already contented of what they've got, and are still not happy with the result and wanted more (greedy). I'd see no miracle will happen in investing crypto nor was it an accident of becoming a millionaire as it really needs for us to work hard and invest more. Becoming rich is also depend on our capital, not the coin/project itself.
1515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: August 04, 2022, 01:33:26 PM
If you are planning to invest then it's good to have these two but in my situation I share it to you before I invested bitcoin I'll buy first earings, bracelet and necklace made of gold which means I invested the gold first before Bitcoin because in the long terms gold can give me profit. Also I buy bitcoin because of the reason I want to earn even though bitcoin is volatile and we can not predict the price is going high or low.
Many are able to sacrifice their gold for Bitcoin, they sell their gold assets in order to start investing in Bitcoin and the reason is that they believe Bitcoin could give them more compared to Gold. I'm not going to say it was a wrong idea but it was a breathtaking decision that ever made. Because it was to know that this crypto investment is riskier than Gold but somehow, it was to notice that this is more profiting making some gold investors leave and move to crypto.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: August 04, 2022, 10:51:56 AM
Great mindset for him, one loss should not dictate his future, we have great boxers who are not undefeated so he still has a chance to prove himself. Anyway, I'm looking forward that Teo will be able to regain what he loss in his previous fight and that is by winning via KO.

Defeats break the weak people, but temper the strong. There are very few invincibles, everyone can lose, but a true champion will continue on his way. Lopez's positive attitude towards this fight is understandable, he looks like a clear favorite and this should give him more confidence if he wins. In this fight, he will be able to win, but the most difficult path is still ahead, this is just the beginning.

He was also a favorite to win in his last fight, for sure he was also confident but maybe too confident and forgot to play smart. I mean, he could have won that fight if he just played his strategy well, unfortunately, he was too eager to KO Kambosos, forgot about his defense but was surprised he lost.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 04, 2022, 10:22:10 AM
Which of these players do you think will find a new home before the season starts?
My picks are Demarcus Cousins and Dennis Schroder.
Cousins made a big effort during the Nuggets' run and produced good numbers and I think that's the first team that should sign him.
Schroder is young. Can be rebuilt and might make a career leading the bench team.

Wow, can't believe Schroder does not have a contract yet. He was performing really well back in Oklahoma. Did his level of playing dropped that significantly after Lakers? He is too young to belong in that group. Hope he gets a contract and prove himself once again.

he will always be remember since he turned down a huge amount of money thinking that his value is more than that

only to end up signing for a lesser contract. It's an upset because after that Lakers huge offer no one gives him any closer to
what Lakers ask him to sign for his extension, he got the talent but with how rookies are showing now, teams are more interested
with young guns who can play and improve for a longer period, but we can't close the book. All those mentioned names are still
a good pick for a role player's job.

He is still very young and can ball. I do not know why no one is picking him up. If it is just the rookie, he is probably better and he is proven to be effective.

Agree with that, but we never know the real story, maybe Dennis is still seeking a big contract and won't sign a team with a lower contract. That Celtics attempt failed because he was probably thinking that the Celtics could sign him with a bigger contract but look where he is now.
1518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Day Trading be profitable in Crypto ? on: August 03, 2022, 01:40:05 PM
I think day trading is very suitable during bullish market conditions because in such conditions the market is very active and the trading volume is very high, but if ywant to do it on altcoins then the altcoin must have high trading volume but be careful because can get stuck at high prices if do it in altcoins so that it ends up in the holder or sells at a loss
Yes, and we can't deny that many people will enter trading during that time for they are aware the situation that prices keep on growing and earning a profit isn't hard and it never takes so long. But if you dare to try it during the bear season, that is certainly a big test of your capability to control your emotions and patience, and sometimes we end up losing at the end of the day. This is the reason why many traders had just held instead of doing trading as a safe escaped.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 03, 2022, 01:07:05 PM
Becoming rich was certain if they hold it until now but the question had raised as well if they still have them. Because if you are very active in social media can't be far from selling them due to some negative news that brought you to decide to sell. Those early adopters might gain a profit but not to say they become rich because of Bitcoin alone. Might these new adopters do well compared to them due to hearing some advice from old timers having some hint on what to do in the market.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 03, 2022, 11:52:34 AM
Game over.

TNT 108- Magnolia 96

Magnolia only won the last quarter, it doesn't matter anyway because they don't have a big run for them to have a chance. TNT has controlled the game all in the first 3 quarters, so they have enough time to rest. Game 2 is a must-win by the Magnolia, they have to make the right adjustment so their defense will work.

They have to limit Mikey Williams who scored 26 points in this game.

I already feel bad in this game even if it is on the first half  I know already that they can not win and you are right that mate they need to stop mikey willams in order to get closer or have a chance to win against TNT. Mikey willams is unstoppable in this game  26 points in the game is big contribution for the team. And if magnolia can not stop mikey willams for sure they have small percent of step in the finals.

Looks like the games today are one-sided game, SMB is also leading by double-digit, they are up 20 points now in the 4th quarter, so for sure this game 1 belong to the SMB. I like to assume that SMB vs TNT will be facing the Finals if Meralco and Magnolia will not respond in the 2nd game.
