1521  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term investing - Spot, Margin or Derivatives? on: September 22, 2022, 07:02:23 AM
1. I think there is calculator on their site or app, might be best to use it or using this excel sheet that is downloadable here (will just code it so it wouldn't be mistakenly clicked by anyone):
Code:
https://www.ministryofmargintrading.com/bybit-calculator

2. Same as to number 1, the calculator will be best here since for a year that would occur lot of fees too on your open position.

3. Saying benefits is subjective, personally, for me, Spot has low risk compare to what does margin do but if you're correct on your position then it's totally profitable. They're apple and orange, same to be labeled as fruit but they definitely have differences.

1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 21, 2022, 03:19:07 PM
If it's very urgent and really an emergency then why not there are times for gambling and a time to do good deeds, you see good deeds go a long long way, and it's only one month and you can always find a way to get money if you have a good job or a business, I can live without gambling for a month because I am not that addicted to gambling that I will let other people suffer in exchange for my gambling activity.
That's the point but I think for gambling fanatics or let's put it to "regulars" that's not their way of thinking. They'll for sure leave some for their gambling, but way worse if the person asking for help really need it right away and haven't got a little. Bless are those who have the same mindset as you ser!
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: September 21, 2022, 12:40:43 PM
Would love to get some free one and it's not that difficult to add it on your wallet, so I'm up to get a free ETHW. I wonder though if this was just cash grabs but will ETH PoW token will do the same as ETCs action? I mean ETC was original too and they continue thriving.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino and prisons on: September 21, 2022, 09:14:37 AM
It is interesting to note that this casino had no licence and wasn't recognised by the Nevada gaming authorities but the inmates ensured there was no cheating there by creating a self policing system.
Well, if it's just for leisure purposes, I probably agree on that but if it involves something at stake like money or other stuff, that's a no-no. Prison was made for people that has done something wrong in their lifetime and atone for it but if they'll get addicted once again because of gambling it's another thing the authorities are probably looking at. I think it's best to know why they got defeated in the first place and these days that's probably gonna be rare considering how huge media to discuss almost everything.
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin island in the Philippines? on: September 21, 2022, 01:09:06 AM
Probably Pouch knows that Philippines is crypto-friendly but if I were to be asked it's more like on the grey area. Boracay has lot of foreign national visitors and it's no surprise thinking these folks around in the area would be interested in crypto or know about crypto.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: September 20, 2022, 12:35:46 PM
Altcoins follow where bitcoin is moving, and we will see that in market price movements. Bitcoin is at the heart of all altcoins, and it has been since the very beginning and I even think it will continue to happen in the future.
We see what is happening now in the market, when bitcoin is green then altcoins are the same, and vice versa if bitcoin is red, we will see altcoins as well. Here we can see that the most influential asset in this cryptocurrency space is bitcoin. If we want to see trends in the market, we only need to look at bitcoin.
Most but not all, most of the times these meme shitcoins do tend to go higher when Bitcoin is dipping and they go deeper when Bitcoin is mooning. I think this wasn't the case on all instances, there are times when altcoins do lag behind when most smart money are pouring into Bitcoin.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 20, 2022, 10:12:07 AM
Excess of everything is bad
Mobile has done more damage to the world than good.
i sometime feels sick and addicted not being able to get away fro the mobile phone. Such miserable our lives have become.
I don't think it will labeled at that, you can set boundaries on gadgets if you have proper management and value your health. This can be achieved personally and there are several ways to do it, the only thing that hard is the commitment and to start.
With having the easy access on almost everything that we do have today then its really hard to quit up something specially when you do know that you could simply
just pull off your mobile phone on you own pocket then you are ready to go once again.
You're correct on that but as adults I think we're more capable to fight the urge and set those boundaries over gadgets. That's the disadvantage of it but if the individual always have that expectations like difficulty on quiting, that will definitely the thing will come and not the other way around.

1530  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker tournaments why tournaments in other games on: September 19, 2022, 01:00:27 PM
I have not seen game tournaments, a tournament for me is when people face each other, and they do not fight against a computer, or against a system, I have never been in tournaments that have the impression and communication with others, I think it is the most typical way to raise the adrenaline and with money, with poker I have not seen here but only against the computer and almost all casinos have poker games.
You've never been on a poker tournament that involves real people I guess mate. I don't think you're aware on the bitcointalk poker tournaments that was held by forum members here and if really not, you may check this recent one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382245.0, this one isn't against a bot.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Choices: Gamble or Help the poor ? on: September 19, 2022, 10:48:09 AM
In order to understand the psychology of gamblers, i have decided to come up few questions for discussions, and here is the first one.

Suppose that you are a responsible gambler who have allocated a certain portion of money to gamble each month. Now you came across a poor person/family who is in urgent need of money. Will you quit the gambling for that month and give the allocated money to the poor family or will you prefer to gamble as you can't live without gambling ?
Personally, if I have something to spare I'd rather help it even if a few for this family, I think you should allocate on yourself first or know yourself first if you can live with it. Every human is unique so do our differences on behaviors towards other people, you can help the family with other things like collecting of funds too if you can do it.

Gambling is just part of it, and if you also have a family and quite a thing that seldomly you profit while gambling then it's for best interest that you keep some money while also helping others.
1532  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 🔴 Top 5 Scams That Will Make You Lose Money After The Merge- Be aware Newbies on: September 17, 2022, 03:52:38 PM
Always verify things, asked it on forums if you're not familiar or no knowledge about things that are being randomly sent to you, don't just click links out of curiosity, etc. Even with this simple things, you'll be able to avoid fall in a scam, the thing with those who get scam more often doesn't lure on forums nor do any research on things.

I'm not saying the thread isn't worth it and there are thousands of articles similar like this but there are people that are still getting scammed.
1533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 17, 2022, 02:32:05 PM
Just wanted everyone's thoughts on how easy it is to get bitcoin now, and what getting bitcoin might be like in the future? For example, I can simply go on cashapp and buy btc, send to a wallet I own the keys to. I can also use localbitcoins, paxful, I mean the list is kinda endless. Will that list become...not so endless in the future as the value gets higher?
I think saying easy is subjective unless you really know even the basic of getting or sending Bitcoin. Time will tell, but technology is here with us to give us comfort and convenience on things that something complicated before and the technology behind Bitcoin wasn't an exception on that. Gradually we will see more and not less, technology keeps evolving everyday.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 17, 2022, 09:55:39 AM
I've missed the whole thing about the news that the SBP was in the Senate for a hearing.
Have you seen this news guys? So, this is about the Gilas and PBA concerns.
Was just aware the other day and I think there will be a lot of talk regarding that since they can't take those free will of these athletes, we're still a democratic one. They are likely saying it's a national issue since lot of pro leagues in Asia are recruiting the best players here, it's not just about PBA and Gilas I guess.

The thing with this issue is the salary, if they can compete with the offer internationally then why not compete with it? These players will always have an option to leave as long as they see the opportunity overseas and to further enhance their talents. For sure, other players may it a college or already a pro and given such opportunity will do the same.

https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10049221-lakers-updated-roster-rotation-after-reported-dennis-schroder-contract.amp.html

Looks like the Lakers are into Guards these days and it was stated in this report that even if they add more role players, that wouldn't mean much if their main players will not be healthy like James and Davis. Schroder's performance in the Eurobasket and last season with the Rockets was spectacular and I think signing him is a good addition to take Westbrook's lapses in the backcourt, they got PatBev too that may help the defensive end.
I don’t think they would have picked up Dennis and Pat if they were keeping Russ. This news along with Westbrook putting his house up for sale makes me think that a deal is already in place and now they’re just working out the details. Since Westbrook is already privy to this information I would assume it involves some sort of buyout or sign and trade. I think we’ll find out in the next 2 weeks what the real story is.
That would have make some sense but it's best to wait until the trade or announcement is really there. Don't know what will be the drama again that will came up with this trade for Russ, I think I'm seeing multiple team trade deal here again, maybe Pacers or Jazz are willing once again. We may never know, almost everyday there are surprises.

Odds at over 2.5 seems pretty decent to me so I'm taking Spain for the Finals. They didn't make a lot of buzz or noise unlike those countries with superstars but I think they are the most resilient as a team in this tournament. I think they can handle the Gobert tower with good ball movement.
But the offensive end on France roster was fairly distributed as well, they're good on ball movements too. For me, I think France with healthy Yabusele, Gobert, and Fournier will be a difficult feat for Spain's national team to win this Final. They are a threat both on the defensive and offensive stuff, the recent win they have with Poland with that much deficit is something to be honest.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: September 16, 2022, 06:29:58 PM
Have you ever had an experience betting in which you knew that you were going over the limits of you finances and still continued? I have one playing a game, it was absorbing plenty of my time and despite me knowing it, I was kind of hooked on it. It was not a financial problem, but left me wondering how easy is to actually fall into a bad habit and how difficult is to break it.
I did but I think I can count how many times I did it, may it offline or online gambling, not of a casual gambler so it's manageable. The thing with addiction is that it's easy to be part of it but whenever you want to get out, there are plenty of hindrances and urge to continue, sounds ironic but as human we like the things that pleasurable even we knew it will be hard for ourselves or those around us. Gambling can hurt our financial capacity, health, family and many more.

<snip>
Aren't this a bit pricy for 15k total of NFT supply and with nothing yet at hand for utilities? It's too good to be true even if they are a well-known brand, I think they need to slow it down for financial purposes considering not all NFT enthusiasts can afford for such price. Maybe  whales who are into sports will just dominate the collection once started minting.
1540  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: September 16, 2022, 12:59:20 PM
There is no "how to play well' manual in this because its still a game of chance though. Its either you join a clan, pool in bigger balances onto the clan or you play alone with your own balances. If you are into having fun with some players and probably losing together on slots, then joining a clan is really a nice feature though. None other sites seems to have implemented such thing yet
It's still a game of chance and a team effort since you're in a clan and you must came up with strategy or discuss stuff that may get you more chance of getting the prize though luck dependency is still a huge thing here tbh. No one as I've heard of, Rollbit was likely have best researchers and thinker on the team to came up with this idea.
