OP, what if you have bets for only one side, how do you handle the situation if nobody has bet the other way?

In this case, all open orders will be returned (with the ratio of 1:1).

That is the correct answer. Best of luck with your venture, although I would remind people that, as with any centralised service you send bitcoin to, there is always the possibility of it shutting down in the future and running off with your money.

The problem with giving a link to the counter is that it display the count of current game multiplication value not played yet.

You're supposed to provide an encrypted seed algorithm for the round about to be played. That way it can be viewed afterwards to ensure that the grid 'hits and misses' are pre-determined correctly. After the round the player can decrypt the seed to view whether the 'hits and misses' they encountered were the same ones as were supposed to occur.

Simply stating it as being a 'percentage' win or loss is insufficient to declare it as being provably honest.
1523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dooglus is supporting ponzis on: March 28, 2016, 03:54:40 PM
Oh QS, you *really* need to have your meds reviewed. Either that or start actually taking them as you're supposed to.

I did help out. The scripts being used were really pretty bad. I fixed a few of the most obvious bugs but not all of them. I personally wouldn't be using these scripts on a live site. They feel like an accident waiting to happen.

Apart from the fact Dooglus wasn't shilling for either the ponzi or the script, it hardly sounds anything like the sort of promotional sales pitch that ponzi-script sellers post

"Hey everyone, I gotta ponzi script for sale. It is full of bugs and I would not recommend using it on a live site as it is an accident waiting to happen!"

Tagging people with negative ratings is about communicating to members whether somebody has behaved in a way which proves them to be dishonest. The evidence you have presented so far suggests quite the opposite about Dooglus. But don't let that stop you obsessing about it some more, which you will.

1524  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HONEST BITCOIN: DOUBLE YOUR BITCOINS. YES IT IS A PONZI. on: March 28, 2016, 12:22:48 PM
Once again, laws are subject to interpretation.

Not when they explicitly prohibit the specific structure you are operating and promoting.

Would if please you if I took the deposits and invested them at just-dice.com?

No, QS, I would prefer if you didn't take any deposits at all for your illegal ponzi scheme and just shut it down before you, or your co-conspirators, get in serious trouble with it. Offering to gamble with their deposits is just digging yourself in deeper, you know, what with you being a US resident.

1525  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: **COIN-MINE**MULTIPLAYER BITCOIN GAME**PROVABLE FAIR*INCREASE BITCOIN1.05-1.5x** on: March 28, 2016, 11:47:09 AM
The programmer that i used programmed the fixed percentage to each level.

So the fixed percentage that will win on each level will always stay the same.

Provably fair requires that you prove it, not simply say it.
1526  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io BTCLend LNC. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: March 28, 2016, 09:26:41 AM
Trouble is, Homero has already incriminated himself on the securities issue:

http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2014/12/01/bitbeat-under-fire-gaw-miners-ceo-garza-takes-on-his-critics/
Quote
Mr. Garza said GAW follows meticulous compliance and record-keeping to ensure it can’t be charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission with selling unregistered securities. “If one cent of our payout (to customers) comes from anything other than mining, it is a security,” he said.

So he can't possibly plead ignorance on the subject of whether he knowingly issued an illegal security.

same old, same old. whats your run-away-target?

Indeed. That is the first thing which comes to my mind. I have, however, reconsidered the PSA warning given the fact that the structure of this scheme doesn't actually need to be a ponzi in order to work and could reasonably function the way it has been described.

It appears, at this time anyway, to be a straight bet of one group of 'higher' gamblers against the other 'lower' group.

OP, what if you have bets for only one side, how do you handle the situation if nobody has bet the other way?
1532  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HONEST BITCOIN: DOUBLE YOUR BITCOINS. YES IT IS A PONZI. on: March 28, 2016, 08:38:40 AM
For cryptodevil: dooglus is not alone in his opinion:
*appeal to authority fallacy*

You have presented opinion, I have presented evidence AND you keep ignoring the cold hard fact that by your own admission, as a US resident, you are promoting an illegal ponzi operation. So, on the basis that it is illegal and your denial of that fact won't make it any less illegal your participants, if they are fully informed, are co-conspirators not 'investors'.

1533  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HONEST BITCOIN: DOUBLE YOUR BITCOINS. YES IT IS A PONZI. on: March 26, 2016, 06:26:59 PM
You pretend you're looking out for their interests but you are as selfish as anyone you infatuated piece of excrement.

aaaaaand there we have it. Gotta love a good reveal!
You want to take up dooglas on that?

See, here's the thing QS-Jr, or should we just go with QS? I've previously been accused of either being Dooglus or being a patsy for Dooglus but we do actually have differing views on some issues. He considers a Ponzi which operates as a fully-disclosed Ponzi as not being dishonest, I disagree and I have explained in detail why. He explained why he believed an 'Honest' Ponzi scheme operated by a US resident would not necessarily be illegal and not only do I disagree on that matter, I have explained why he is incorrect to believe so.

I am also more than able to source further citations if needed to more fully explain why it is illegal across the entire United States of America, where you already admit you reside, for anyone to operate a ponzi, be it promoted as such, or not. I have no reason to believe Dooglus would be grossly offended by being provided evidence which shows his belief to be mistaken.

But, then, the *whole* point of this tedious sock-puppet account exercise of yours was to try and dream up a way for you to create a Ponzi you knew Dooglus wouldn't necessarily oppose so that my tagging of its participants would, in your feverish imagination, set Dooglus and I against each other!!!!!!1!1!!!1!!! This would bring the whole DT system crashing to its knees etc. etc. and so forth.

It would be clever, if it weren't just so very very dumb.

1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BITS][Bitstar]Burn/buy process for experimental coin started ends GMT12:00 on: March 26, 2016, 05:38:33 PM
Blackcoin's PoS v3

Both coins will be on that codebase.
The new coin is based on Blackcoin's PoS V3 which has removed the coin-age from the staking calculation. This means that block rewards are static and only awarded as you stake, not accumulated into a lump-sum as they currently are when old coin balances are staked after being offline for a long period.

It will ensure that the holders who will benefit most from staking are those who are actively supporting the network through regular or continual staking.
One of the factors in the dev team moving Bitstars to a new codebase and chain, asides from accommodating for the burn and coin-count adjustment, is that the Blackcoin PoS v3 staking calculation removes the coin-age from the equation and implements a static block reward. What this translates into is a staking process which rewards users for actually staking and supporting the network continuously, not simply leaving their wallet offline and benefiting from a windfall on the occasions they deign to load it up and unlock it, as a result of their network 'weight' being excessive due to the coin-age (How long their coins have been in the same address without being moved or staked).

I don't agree with you. I don't consider this as illegal. On the Internet, except robbery, nothing is illegal.

Sure, yeah, sounds like you've got an awesome grasp of criminal law. Good luck with that.

If you really wanted to help people who don't speak English, start a new thread and post in their language.
Big red text is usually recognised the world over as being a warning. I need not explain to them how a ponzi works, I need only post my warning in your thread to alert them to the dangers of the illegal ponzi you are promoting (you did say you are in the US, btw).

Quote
Our interpretations disagree and are probably going to continue disagreeing indefinitely.

It isn't my interpretation, it is the fucking law. Nowhere in the US is it legal to operate a scheme which relies on new participants sending money in so that earlier participants can be paid.

Denying the fact that you are attempting to promote and operate an illegal financial scheme in a country which specifically prohibits such does not permit you to continue as though it doesn't matter. Inviting people to send money to your scheme, having informed them that it is a Ponzi, an explicitly illegal operation in your jurisdiction, means that they are not participants, they are collaborators.

The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee

Your Ponzi cannot guarantee they can double their deposit without you stealing it from later users, which requires you to find even more users to steal from to cover those.

Which part of that process sounds sustainable and something you can guarantee?
