isn't Trump still GOP so the reason why DeSantis not attacking Trump as he is also Republican right?

in the latest CBS poll, Trump has 61% while Desantis got 23%. the indictment of Trump isn't dragging his rating down for the people know its all political. seem like they can't fool the public anymore with all these diversions. the more they do it. the more Trump will prevail.
It isn't really matter of public what they think, even if he would be guilty in one of the 37 felony counts Trump got would technically get jail time. I am not certain if he would do the time in reality, but if he is, he is going to have to campaign from prison. These are federal charges and seriousness of these charges are totally on a different level then other charges trump has faced.

No lawyer even wants to represent him as they know it's not a winning case, but total nightmare. I would say that it would be easy money to bet on democrats if republicans can't get their act together.
1582  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much ,as you think ,is 1 bitcoin in 2025? on: June 13, 2023, 06:37:07 PM
How much ,as you think  ,is  1 bitcoin in 2025?
it is obvious after 10 years of this question ? yes Bitcoin is now above 10k and even having chance of increasing more than 100k  in the end of 2025 at least.
\
I feel sorry for those who bet lower than 10k and even those who choose to vote for below 500 dollars.
I wouldn't be that optimistic but i am glad some of us are. Then again i remember in 2014-2015 people who thought btc goes over 10k were called delusional. I thought it would be delusional as well when my first bear market hit. And you can read from the early replys to this what the attitude was. Majority of people thought for sure this goes to zero or doesn't exist in 2025. If people could have seen in the future they wouldn't even believe how crazy things got.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: June 13, 2023, 06:15:06 PM
I use usdt, busd, and usdc according to what exchange I use but I mostly use BUSD because as we know bsc is a network that has shipping costs that are still friendly to its users and is widely used by today's users.
for storage, I never save in stablecoin, but I'm more comfortable saving in fiat
Shipping costs? Are you referring to transaction fees? You are aware that bsc network can move other stable coins as well that are also dirt cheap to use?

Also i don't think many of us are using erc20, for moving small amounts of usdt anyway. Not only it's supported by bsc, you have move it via Arbitrum, Solana, Optimism, Tron, and even Bitcoin.

I am keeping mine in stablecoin if i want to reduce volatility. If i store something in fiat, i feel like i am completely out of the game.
1584  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Security and Privacy in the Crypto Market on: June 13, 2023, 09:20:24 AM
What many people are asking is what are the main challenges faced in protecting the security and privacy of users in the crypto market? How can the crypto industry overcome these challenges?
The crypto industry cannot overcome these challenges, these challenges are part of the industry. The best we can do is to find a way to mitigate them.

For security and privacy, it can be said as below;
  • The security of the coin network: In this aspect, the most secured coin is bitcoin and it is very much decentralized.  So, unless you talk about shitcoins which has not good security architecture
  • Security of the coin in the custody of the investor: This is when we begin to talk about the type of wallet you use (custodial or non custodial), here we begin to talk the right use of the exchanges. We also talk about how safe your devices where you install your wallets are and more.
  • Privacy: It is here we talk about how the projects are about to conceal the data and information of the investor. It is here that privacy coins like Monero comes to play, also here mixers comes in for Bitcoin and more.

So, every problem already has solutions in the cryptocurrency industry.
Crypto industry definitely CAN tackle these issues, just not yet as there are no tools ready for that. But there's going to be.

Privacy trough ZK smart contracts alone and ZK based ID will guarantee that information will be private, and can in fact be a holy grail for GDPR / privacy laws. These are currently being made, they are just not ready for big adoption yet.

I am thinking that by security, OP means investor's security as user is always responsible for themselves. And it's really hard to do anything for the user safety on this. Users will be always the weakest link and vulnerable for social engineering, thefts or hacks. Some coins could technically deal this in token issuancer level and make transactions reversable. But i am not sure what that would look like or what would it do to the ideology of decentralization and permissionless transactions.

These immutable transactions most likely won't fly with regulators when we are talking about altcoins that had an ico, ido or any kind of sale. It's likely that demanding that user is responsible of his tokens (self custodity) will be against consumer protection laws but it isn't yet being dealt with.

Regulators can't really do anything about fairly distributed POW coins, or coins that have achived a certain level of decentralization, except maybe they can ban them from CEXes, but teams of funded coins could technically be sued later on about this. I am actually baffled why they haven't yet used this type of attack yet. Maybe it's coming later.
1585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 12, 2023, 09:15:47 PM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?
I really don't need to quit because i have planned my budget so that i won't be using but fraction of it to gambing anyway. If i win big i won't be gambling my winnings but keep my budget tied to the income from work minus expenses i have. My budget changes if electricity costs too much or if i have medical or what ever unforeseen bills that needs paying.

I am gambling because it's a fun past time, if i had a problem with it i might think of quitting after a big win. However after a big win it would be hard for anyone gambling for big wins. That would just wire your brain to think you can definitely win that again. And while you could, it would be as hard as ever as odds would stay the same.

Right, guy is a proven liar and have been two facing Trump. There's no way that people see him as more charismatic than any existing candinate. I mean the guy always looks annoyed like he sat on a pole or something. There's no way people would believe him or like him, his main think is to worry and mock others. Trump at least smiles while he does that.

At the start DeSantis looked like a winning candidate but he sure has a way to distant himself from the public.
I might be biased as my politics are total opposite of him, but the side of me who wants to make money via betting on this doesn't believe him winning either.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to the market today? on: June 12, 2023, 08:49:28 PM
-cut-
SEC think they are a regulator in crypto industry, they don't know that crypto is a decentralized system.
This doesn't really mean anything. If something would be truly decentralized they couldn't sue anything. There are always some form of centralized elements, especially with CEXes and with projects that launched via ICOS, IDOs or whatever money collecting method they have. They have a team to sue.

What are the problems with ADA, MATIC, and SOL?
If the problem is only about the significant drop in their prices, it is because most altcoins follow Bitcoin price. We must know that BTC is dropping its price to $25k again, it triggers most altcoins to drop again with significant changes. Moreover, we have bad news related to SEC vs Binance now.
From what i understand it's the method how they marketed their coin. You can't promise growth or even hint about it. Many of these allowed price talk in their official chats and even that's a big no-no to SEC.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 12, 2023, 08:39:49 PM
People are saying that gambling is not good so nobody should involved themselves in it. Fathers/Mothers (parents) are shouting to their sons and sometimes beating them all because of gambling. If you are a gambler, the society sees you as a bad boy or person or a waste person in the family. Parents would be saying "look at your age mates, they are going to school and become a successful persons in the society, you are here playing gambling". They would even say, gamblers steal and thieves.
And really when you look at some of those boys they play Draft game morning till evening. Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?

That sounded pretty specific and maybe something you have personally experienced. People gamble for same reason they do fun things: To pass the time.
It's not for everyone, but so is not gaming, boxing, smoking, watching tv climbing, paintball wars, drinking wine or race car driving. Some people have addictive personality, they need to choose healthy addictions if they want to stay healthy. Then there are people who gamble for fun and don't care what other people think. As long it's not hurting anyone i can't see any reason listening to people you described.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BNB now? on: June 12, 2023, 08:20:04 PM

BNB support at $200 is still haunting because BNB can still dive to that level,
I'm not scare but I have analyzed before that $200 is strong support in BNB,
but we also have to remember that now Binance is in trouble with the SEC and it will probably last time,
so make sure your investment is safe.
What you said contradicts itself as the whole point of it is that you have no control if your investment is safe. Or if by "keeping it safe" you meant that if binance disables withrawals it would be safer to keep BNB in self custody in your own wallet. That doesn't check out either as bnb won't be having value if binance goes down.

I am not sure what you meant by being trouble last time with sec. There can be several more charges, i see this as a start. But Binance has funds to fight this for years so this is not going to solve in a day and binance isn't shutting down suddenly.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: June 12, 2023, 07:47:36 PM
for sure, a lot of gamblers at one point went to the path of borrowing money as they wanted to fulfill their desires. and this is why gambling has bad connotation because of gamblers who are in deep debt but still trying to make a loan thinking that they can win and pay off their debts. however, very rare that it happens, the usual scenario is that they will incur more debts after debts.
It's really weird how some people tell themselves that they would need a loan to get on their feet with gambling when it's obviously just feeding addiction.
If those people could fund their lifestyle with gambling, they wouldn't need the loan in the first place. But i guess it's hard to see own cognitive bias even when you are so much in loss that you think loan would fix it. Obviously there's a change it can but that's just insane risk taking. Not fun and not responsible.
1591  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is AI beneficial to the society? on: June 11, 2023, 10:05:16 PM
Artificial Intelligence also know as AI is a software system based on neural networks, founded by John Mccarthy  together with other computer scientists, it's aslo said to be the stimulation of human intelligence processes by machines especially computer. And currently have many benefits, to mention a few such as

1. Used to generate images for social media post and presentations.
2. easily used to summarized articles and save time of research.
3. better transformation of written contents to videos for marketing and e-learning.
4. faster creation of logos, banners, book covers, for businesses and industries.
5. It's also beneficial to crypto currency, by enhancing it's security and improved efficiency.

Do you think it has more disadvantages than its advantage, my odds are the benefits are greater, what's your say on this?
More powerful the tool, more powerful can be the benefits of it, but that goes also with the destructive power of it, as governments will try use it to destabilize other governments.

I wouldn't count any of your points as real "benefits" for humankind, except maybe security and learning. I would see more interesting how it could (in the future) deal with big constructs of data and find patterns people are missing out. Similar to comparing google trends but with a huge capacity to do that with all areas. I see it being used in fields of medicine, logistics, psychology, game theories, planning cities, planning for economies, and even designing more efficient and fair, progressive and sustainable models for government.

Also the crash of FTX was on a date of a "blood moon" / lunar eclipse with bright red colour on the sky.

Is this just a coincidence?
Yes, it is.

But i have encountered people doing this. Even people i thought highly about before hearing they do that. I am not really sure if they believe in astrology or believe that if enough people trade with astrology, it starts to be self fulfilling prophecy. Anyway, which ever tactic works for you, you should use it. Many see pure traditional TA similar to crystal balls and tea leaves anyway. I wouldn't trade other people's money with astrology though. That seems like irresponsible. More irresponsible then trading others money if possible.

Just a heads up, lucky block is not safe.
Why do you think you have a right to reject kyc? How do you know it's unsafe as you refused to even do that?

Depending how much you are withdrawing, and if they are suspicious about your region where you claim to live, they are legally obligated to ask for it.

I am not sure where you have been during these few years but it's the brand new world now. Casinos and exchanges are complying with regulators. Number of those who don't require kyc are slim to none. And even those might want it later.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 11, 2023, 04:50:37 PM
At least they have been trying to be regulatory compliant from the start so it won't crash right there.
At the end of the day most coins do not really solve any kind of real problem which is why they cannot gain long term support from their users, after all how many times do we need for the same coins to be reinvented all over again? At some point people simply become skeptic about those coins and prefer to stick with the ones they know, and while the adoption of this market keeps growing and this allows new coins to survive, at some point the adoption will slowdown, once a great deal of the population around the world gets into this market, and when that happens most of those coins will disappear and there will not be any new coins to take their place.
Well even if they solved the problems and would be unique solutions, that's doesn't necessarily show as green in the price charts. Adoption can't really happen without finished product, so i have invested speculative value because i believe that those devs are working hard with the problem others don't tackle. Some big coins have been even using their code.

I am just looking for elsewhere as well, trying to look for new innovations that would rule the next cycle, last time i got lucky and got excited about nfts in 2019 so i got in early.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 11, 2023, 04:32:30 PM
I checked the Bitcoin price and did not find a decrease. What is happening is a natural price movement, perhaps due to panic or panic, but the price is in its normal place.
The value of BNB decreased by more than 22%, which is a large percentage, but its price is in the hands of binance, they can burn a lot of it and the price will return again. the reaction of binance and the subsequent steps that it will take are what will determine the future of this currency.
I advise you to stay away from it for the time being and see how the company will act.
Burning it more often then originally scheduled would be another nail for the Binance as that would be market manipulation and even more ammo to SEC. And if i even i know this you can bet that binance advisors would be against that move. If you think that price won't recover without price manipulation, you should definitely sell or short because Binance will be very careful about their next steps as they are preparing for the court. I am just glad that it's one of the few players that has budget to fight.

Martingale strategy with big bankroll will make your gambling experience worst if ever you ever a losing streak like that or more because you are increasing your base bet exponentially. Thinking how terribe it can be on Martingale strategy makes my spine tingle. Assuming you invest your life savings on your bankroll just to have a room for long lose streak and then this kind of catastrophe hits you hard that wipe your money without you being notice it.

This is the important thing I learned on playing gambling. Just use bankroll that you can afford to lose since this kind of long lose streak can hit anytime since we are always exposed to risk the longer we play.
I once was talking with a guy that i thought was intelligent as he was good in chess. And he was defending the martingale strategy to me and nothing i said made trough him. He was convinced that if you had enough money it would work. I tried to argue that eventually it's likely that there will be a losing strike that wipes your balance, no matter how small your bets are or how much money you had.

And if you had so much money what are you playing with small bets anyway. It would take ages to give him any meaningful wins. Then he started to argue that if he had infinite amount of money it would work.

That made me stop talking. I wasn't going to argue about the absurdity of infinity, but it was very telling to me how far people with gambler's fallacy are willing to go to not face the reality.
1597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 11, 2023, 01:23:22 PM

So you're lucky and your country doesn't have the censorship that many other countries do. I use VPN all the time and when I start gambling I just forget to turn off VPN, but not because I am involved in illegal activities or hiding from someone. It's just that a lot of resources are blocked in my country, including this forum. So I, like many other people whose rights are infringed, use workarounds to get information.
Yes, most of us are lucky, and i am sorry to hear that you need to use VPN only to access some information resources.

But you are literally involved in illegal activities when your country is sanctioned and hiding behind fake ip as you are trying to get around sanctions by pretending you are from some other country.

It's your fault as an individual that you need VPN, but trying to get past casino's legal agreements is not justified cause when your country is under sanctions. You can't really blame casinos either after they cancel your account.
1598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Promising Crypto Coins Expected to Make It to the Top 100 on CoinMarketCap on: June 11, 2023, 12:12:38 PM

It's now SUI is number one dropping in 7d% time frame by whopping -34.58% so hopefully you didn't go all in yet. And frankly i see everything dropping again soon after markets get stabilized. This was just first leg.

Also i don't understand what op is basing his ideas. Like highly centralized Bitxgold seems like a paid advertisement. Some of those might make it, but i am guessing it's because OP got lucky with one of them. Those predictions doesn't make any sense to me.
sui even though it already down so much, is still good return for early investors, for those that are already investing after the presale says otherwise.
this is why i would never ever invest in something that's so cheap in presale and raising its value really high after listing, because these kind of coin always leans more towards losing its value overtime, not giving chance newer investors to have profits.
It's frankly mind blowing to me that we seem to be again in the phase where it's possible again get 10x immediately by participating into presale. And we are in the bear market. This means that there will be ton of new idos etc to try to ride this wave and new investors are lining up for profits. We have seen this cycle so many times that it's just funny to watch it unfold again. There seems to be a section of people now investing to new tokens just because they are new, no matter if they come right out of sale with 10x returns.

I am now watching the SUI, but my expectations have not yet been met, the new projects that come out on their blockchain are frankly weak and there are already a lot of scams and new interesting projects yet to be seen. I'm waiting for one, but I'm not sure about it anymore against the background of what is happening now.

1600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 10, 2023, 11:28:51 PM
The latest SEC lawsuit against Binance has caused a massive market crash, with BNB suffering the most, going as low as $233, the lowest it has ever been in 2023. Bitcoin has also suffered great losses, but it's not as bad as BNB, which hasn't stopped falling since the incident started and got progressively worse for altcoins when the SEC labeled 46 of them as securities to be avoided at all costs. Some of which include BNB, XRP, BUSD, MANA, and plenty of others. Personally, I believe that the condition is starting to become worrying, especially if Binance loses and there's no settlement, which would also have disastrous consequences for the market in general.

The most worrying of all is BNB, which is in freefall and its future might be doomed if no solution is found. What's your take on this? Do you think that a solution will be found to avoid any further losses, or are governments on their way of winning the war against cryptocurrencies?
Why is BNB most worrying? Imho it always was problematic. This is just those problems manifesting themselves.

Everyone knew that it's going to be centralized. Even if it has smart contracts it's still an exchange coin and totally dependable about Binance. Reason why it rises was because everyone thought Binance was untouchable. And for a long time it seemed to be so. They have done so much for some many people, giving charities and most likely lobbying a lot in everywhere in the world.

Still everyone knew deep down that BNB is going to be be paired with well being of Binance. This is what "fudders" were afraid of, and now when it's unrevealing in front of everyone, people will soon realize that if binance loses, the bottom of bnb is going to be zero. And that would make this crypto winter last for ages.
