161  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: March 13, 2017, 01:13:41 PM
i don;t get it as prime dice u can check roll HMAC N Than to hexadecimal  how bitsler.com do that  do u know how u verify that roll.

what is this all abt ..... its not as primedice

$seed = $serverSeed.'-'.$clientSeed.'-'.$nonce;
do {
     $seed = sha1($seed);
     $lucky = hexdec(substr($seed,0,8));
} while ($lucky > 4294960000);

$luckyNumber = ($lucky % 10000) / 100;

if ($luckyNumber < 0)
     $luckyNumber = -$luckyNumber;

echo $luckyNumber;

who can tell me how to verify n take out bitsler roll

like prime dice its simple client seed -nonce with secret key =hmac   n hmac gives us decimal with sha512 whts behind bitsler??
Note that I already have a simple verifier for Bitsler too: https://dicesites.com/bitsler/verifier

At Bitsler you have to use SHA1 instead of HMAC-SHA512 with:
Code:
server_seed-client_seed-end_nonce
Then instead of the first 5 characters, get the first 8 characters and convert from hexadecimal to decimal. Last part is the same as PD... outcome%10000/100.

Let me know if it works Smiley If not, you could give an example and I can show the "calculation" of the first result.

Has anyone tried using an app like Crossover for mac to play the windows software for Swc ? Mine loads fine but keeps crashing after 2 minutes into the game for some reason.Would be interested in hearing what works for you guys.

I have used wine in the past. Always fails to connect to the server. It just stays offline after the app is launched. I think the only way to play this on a mac would be to have the Bootcamp installed windows.

I can confirm that only VirtualBox (or some other VM) works on Linux.

Actually I only tried Wine and not CrossOver (which should have better support), but still VM seems only reliable choice. I wonder if the paid support of CrossOver could help with logs.

Well that would be some kind of MoneyPot with a slightly different setup and focus. Personally not interested at all in running such service though :X Tongue
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Provably fair for investors? on: March 10, 2017, 12:37:06 PM
The other day we had a topic about "provably fair for investors" again: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1787647.0 I also posted about this 2014 idea. Overall I still don't think it's worth making because of performance loss and not really provably fair (just audit.) It indeed also doesn't remove the risk of site owner running with all money. But it's nice to think about such concepts sometimes Smiley

Yeh, my idea was only "fair by audit" and not "provably fair" (so it only works if investors trust that the auditor is not colluding with the site owner.) I actually made a diagram of that too some time ago:

The obvious disadvantage is performance. It is a bit like MP apps (they also make a "Make bet HTTP request" for each bet to MP) - they do work reasonable fast AFAIK, but it is still a disadvantage.

Most ETH dapps will probably still have low limits if truly provably fair for investors too. Some might use ETH blockhashes but that limits the bets to 0.05 BTC (due to block withholding.) Some use BTC bridge to use BTC blockhashes but that limits bets to 12.5 BTC (unless long calculation like PevPot) and I am not sure how those ETH sites handle BTC block orphans. Something like vDice is not really provably fair (even for players) as it uses third-parties for the RNG (random.org with some audit), probably "good enough" for 100 ETH bets, but for 100 BTC bets that seems too risky.

A P2P game like Contingency does solve the problem, but it is relevant to say that every bet is only connected to 1 investor/individual. So this still limits the max profit of each bet (way) more than "traditional crowd-funded sites" (since only 1 investor will need to cover the whole bet profit) and will result into some investors having a profit and some others a loss (more randomly than normal = more variance not very attractive for investors.)

Overall, definitely no real good way IMO Tongue Sad

AFAIK that message indeed means "Hot wallet empty" (I suggested some time ago to improve that message to make it more clear too.)
166  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🔴🌟🎲🌟🔴🌟MONEYPOT.com -- Crypto Casino Suite and Web Wallet 🌟🔴🌟🎲🌟🔴🌟 on: March 06, 2017, 04:32:07 AM
.. for the time being we capped fees as it was generating large unnecessary fees.
I don't really understand this. The fees are based on (kilo)bytes and bitcoind should be able to calculate this properly. Therefor it would be large necessary fees Tongue Right now it seems players make withdrawals that will never be confirmed. That is only annoying for your real players and also for you, as you will have to manually verify/credit them again after 72h.

If the micro deposits didn't get credited and the inputs are feasible to spend (which it indeed is), you would not lose money even if you have large fees? Again, might be better to make 1 big transaction. Or like RHavar said, lock those outputs and make 1 big transaction when mempool is low.

Either way, temporarily stopping withdrawals and fixing the problem (by locking inputs either by that code commit or manually) seems better than sending withdrawals with way too low fee IMO Tongue
167  Economy / Gambling / Re: MONEYPOT.com -- Crypto Casino Suite and Web Wallet on: March 06, 2017, 03:38:23 AM
TBH that sounds like a strange solution (although I can imagine dealing with such attack is annoying.)

But if it's still feasible to use those inputs (related to fee it costs to have 1 more input), you could just use the normal fees? Assuming those micro-transactions didn't get credited to any account.

Then again, if it is an attack to track your site or to break privacy of your players (not sure?), then it might be best to manually disable withdrawals first and make 1 huge TX (with big fee) moving all of those inputs to 1 address? (or even just donate to miners :X)

I highly recommend to always take backups of the 2FA secret keys during setup too. Phones crash/break all the time, can be annoying to get your accounts back.

Online Gambling Scams

Input from everyone wanted...

What is BetBTC.co scam? Any more info please, this site runs many years, so far I never seen any scam accusation against them.
They are excluded from Game Protect consumer protection service, because they hide the operator and commit the criminal offense of fraud since years!

BetBTC.co state on their website " Licensed in San Jose, Costa Rica", but they do not state who is licensed in Costa Rica and they also do not state the operator of the website in their alleged terms and conditions = misrepresentation!

I informed BetBTC to fix this misrepresentation, but they had no interest. You can read it here.
Interesting. I personally don't care much about licenses or TOS. But I am 100% sure they faked their dice bets/stats too to make it look like they are 1 of the most popular dice sites. See reference. Note that I made a pretty decent analysis of their bet data that I never shared (as I rather use the same method for other sites too), so my "proof" is definitely more than in my topic.

Seems they have a habit of misrepresenting things. I personally wouldn't be able to conclude they are a scam though, even though I think faking stats/bets is bad.
171  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE CASINO - CONGRATULATIONS TO WONTON FOR WINNING 300BTC on: February 26, 2017, 10:49:48 AM
BitDice uses the CloudFlare DNS servers but pointed it directly to their own servers. So no, "Cloudbleed" has no effect on BitDice. No need to change your password (assuming you always use unique passwords.)

Enabling 2FA is always good.

I'm just playing around with it. Is this site probably fair?
Not just probably fair, but even provably fair (= you can prove it.)

You can read more about provably fair here: https://dicesites.com/provably-fair (which actually uses an example of Primedice) and use my PD verifier to verify your bets: https://dicesites.com/primedice/verifier
174  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: February 19, 2017, 09:10:09 AM
They only have a Windows client so if you use Linux, a VM seems like an obvious choice Wink

Sometimes SWC connection problem in VM is related to making sure it's using a "Bridged adapter" in Network settings. Although this problem (working for few days) doesn't sound like that.

177  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: February 05, 2017, 04:18:08 AM
I think my site is still fine if you are just looking for a decent dice site to play on. I do agree it's incomplete and there are some sites that should be on there though. Most notably crypto-games and bitvest (especially since they added dice.) My new version has filters too, so it allows non-dice (which would be hidden by default), so for example bustabit and luckybit are already added on my local test site too. And potentially some MP sites could be added like Bit-Exo (in terms of wagered.)

There are some newer sites that look promising too, like yolodice.com, kingdice.com and duckdice.io. Normally I would at least like a site to be around like 6 months and AFAIK they are newer than that. I am considering to add newer sites though and just make them hidden by default too with simple filter (checkbox), so it allows people to still see them if you want.

Other than that: SatoshiDice and CoinRoll are removed just recently for having too many issues with too slow support. PocketDice I am not sure how their latest issues were resolved (with the huge delay on like 80 coin withdrawal), so I would have to look into that. BitSler I don't have stats from. Sites like 999dice still seems sketchy to me. Maybe some MP sites could be added (besides BB and Bit-Exo), but I am not sure how much wagered they have lately.

Overall the problem is that my new version is technically not compatible with my old version, so I decided to only add sites to new version. Then obviously the new version is taking waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long Tongue Sad I am really sorry about that, it's pretty much just that other work comes along that I have to give higher priority than my own site. I definitely still care very much about my site though and plan to finish the new version soon-ish.
178  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂ NEW SOCIAL ROULETTE x2.05 Biggest Traffic on: January 29, 2017, 08:02:58 AM
Every gambling site has a maximum profit (or payout) per bet. It is impossible for gambling sites to accept bets from any amount, because they might not be able to payout that whole amount or because it is statistically not safe (risk of ruin.)

On BitSler this limit is max 5 BTC profit per bet. If you make a bet of 9999999 bitcoins on 2x, you will get the error:
Quote
Maximum profit exceeded
Maximum profit: 5.00000000
So this confirms the max is indeed 5 BTC. Probably it should be clear in the FAQ too though. Although I am guessing you could just ask it in chat too and get an answer (before you made any bet.)

Either way,  I don't see why you expect a refund. Sorry for your loss though.

Ps, all your bets are independent and random. So there is absolutely no guarantee that you would win within 1k rolls (this is related to the gambler's fallacy.)
179  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: January 28, 2017, 05:35:56 AM
I am Ethan, creator/owner/admin of YOLOdice.com. I was wondering if you could list our game. YD already has 730 BTC wagered, 200 BTC in bankroll and ~50 BTC of site profit, allows investing and seems to be getting traction pretty fast.
That is indeed a pretty good start, nice job Smiley

I generally only add sites that has been around for a while though. So while I do expect to follow your site personally, I will probably just add it after some more time. Besides that, I am still finishing my new version of the site and will add other sites (that has been waiting longer :d) first too.

I suppose you need some kind of API integration to get stats from the server. I am open to any ideas. I definitely like your idea of dice-only sites!
Yes, ideally I can just get the stats in JSON format from some URL Smiley

I don't know if this was asked before but will you guys enable verification checking for Fortunejack dice?
The problem is that they faked statistics before. Since my site is all about statistics, I find that a pretty serious issue. Of course I could just add only a verifier and not that stats-part.. but I am not sure. I will still think a bit about that Tongue

I looked at your site and I am very impressed! Thank you for featuring SafeDice on your site! I do have one question, is there a way to update our max win on your site because right now it says 24 BTC but you can actually win 63 BTC in one roll at SafeDice at the moment.
Thanks. The max profit of SafeDice on my website, is based on the highest house edge from other dice sites (which is SatoshiDice at 1.9% HE.) So you are able to win 24.1 BTC on SafeDice with a house edge of exactly 1.9% (and this is automatically updated to always be at 1.9% HE.) I consider that the most fair way of showing the max profit of SafeDice, since I don't recommend people to bet with a 5% HE.
180  Economy / Gambling / Re: ░▒▓█ ★ Coinroll ★ 200k BTC Wagered | Instant Dice Game | 1% Edge ★ █▓▒░ on: January 28, 2017, 05:09:04 AM
Fuck me man. I have done all I can to get in contact with the owner. Support ticket, here, Skype, personal message, signature campaign,  site chat and I cannot get anywhere. No one reply, not one update. This is really ridiculous. To have a site that was trusted to then go 5 days without saying a word or addressing any of the withdraw issues is down right stupid. All I want is an update. Something!!
Mm yeh, removed them (at least temporarily) from my site too. I was never sure how their support was, but 5 days without even a reply seems pretty ridiculous.
