"on the network" = "on moneypot".

According to the stats: http://dicesites.com/moneypot They have 10x more wagered than the second one (which isn't even a real site) and just much more activity than other MP sites. So yeh it's the biggest on MP Wink
642  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: COINICHIWA = SCAM!?!? on: October 12, 2015, 01:03:54 PM
So you deposit 0.5 BTC, lost that because of a "betting bug".
3 days later, you deposited 2 BTC, lost that again because of a "betting bug".
5 days later, you deposited 1 BTC, lost that again because of a "betting bug".
One month later, you deposited another 1+ BTC in 10 transactions, but lost again because of a "betting bug".

Why would you keep depositing when there are so many bugs? How about you offer some more information about this betting bug?

It's true that the admin seems pretty inactive though, and that's not acceptable for real support questions or real delayed withdrawals. But in your case I don't see what the problem is..

edit: okay, so according to the Coinichiwa thread, you didn't receive your 0.3 BTC withdrawal yet. This is not clear in OP to me. Still I think you didn't even wait a day before making this accusation, so I would suggest to wait a bit longer and see if you get it. I am personally pretty sure you will. Keep us updated, obviously you deserve your withdrawal. And let us know if you have some details about this betting bug.
643  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice Investing on: October 12, 2015, 07:36:42 AM
You can have a look on my site http://dicesites.com to see some of the popular dice sites with invest option. On there you can see how much the bankroll is and how much wagered the sites get. The more wagered a site has, the more profit it is expected to generate (in total numbers.) However, the bigger the bankroll is, the less share you get. Besides that, the house edge and commission are also relevant, which is currently not shown on my site.

However, I do like to emphasize the most important factor in choosing a dice site to invest in: trust. There has been popular dice sites that run with all of the invested amount (Dice.ninja with more than 2.000 BTC) but also newer dice sites (Cryptocoins-dice.com with 150 BTC.) I personally do think that history of a site does establish some trust, but in the end it's up to you to make your judgments. If you send your BTC to some site (may it be an exchange or a gambling site), you do not control it anymore and they may scam you at any moment.
644  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 12, 2015, 03:08:20 AM
i remember i invest in a gambling site that time when 1btc is around 50usd. the profit is only about 250btc, 1k reserved btc and someone just come in to wipe out the profit and hit on the reserved. i was online that time and i was horrified when i see he keep winning big and bigger. in the end, he won like 320btc.

BTC hasn't been around $50 since March 2013, which was 3 months before I launched the first gambling site that took public investments.

yup. i dont know about the first gambling site that took public investment, but btc was like around ~$20 at that time but when i heard about it and put money into it. it was around $100~ and den it shot up to $250~ before it crumble down to a period whereby it frequent from $50~$100.

it was that time when i lost faith in btc spectualtion and decided to invest some of my btc into something else. that time i learnt about ltc too and it was $2~ and den use the hundreds of ltc put into different company in Litecoin Global. but suddenly within 1 month after, Litecoin Global suddenly declare shutting down and all shares drop like mad. i managed to recover some back.

I forget the website but it does not have autobet and it is quite a simple website.

Just-Dice?

yah it looks exactly like that but i am not sure it is the same website or not. i have not been there for close to 2 years already cause i cant find back my account. I dont think there is much btc inside too. (hope not)
JD opened in Jun '13 w/ BTC, then closed in Jun '14 and reopened in Dec '14 with CLAM. Old accounts do still work. I think most BTC balances were withdrawn. It was the first site to offer "crowd-funded bankroll" also called "investing" (technically not really investors.) I think in theory SatoshiDice was the first to have investors, although that was with an IPO (shares) and different from the current concept of investing. I do think you mean JD according to your description, although you seem to be mistaken by the BTC prices :p
645  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diggit.io | Over Dice? | Brand new game! | 800+ BTC Invested! | 1% Edge on: October 11, 2015, 05:12:48 AM
As far as I can see, this was the cold address: https://blockchain.info/address/1AqGXXoFRRa27ThqVLfsiPykkp2NC4i7QU got sent to https://blockchain.info/address/179b23A1Cr8wWWbjLKxisn8Hdsf89U2Cwb , then pretty quick it turned into a "withdrawal address". What I mean is:

https://blockchain.info/address/1CBzkkRWL5sh9MV9vC5PFcR76NcQvrpgjg
5 BTC to 1H4s7yJL... (withdrawal?)
790.62497228 BTC to 1E8hw22S.. (change address)

https://blockchain.info/address/1E8hw22SskWjNVWaaJQDa9qVASEtFF2V98
2 BTC to 188KriNGR... (withdrawal?)
788.62475928 BTC to 16Wtn4qfGoa.. (change address)

etc etc.

It would be nice if someone can confirm who made a received withdrawal between July and now. This might be only withdrawals from cold storage, for example this could be all manual withdrawals from a Trezor.

Then eventually you will come to: https://blockchain.info/address/1Mvqh7yCTLMEZs9RxPTRfUUZRzo9fYkjUN which means the last withdrawal was 8 oct. So after that no more withdrawals were processed, for example gamblingbad's withdrawal was just after that last one I think?

Basically, I think support is bad and withdrawals can have a delay, for example now no withdrawals for few days. But in my estimation, they will process it eventually.

Of course I personally would not recommend playing here with the current lack of support. It looks more a neglected site than a scam site. But waiting for days/weeks for withdrawals (sometimes deposits) without support replying, is obviously concerning.
646  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BeTheme - Responsive Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme on: October 10, 2015, 09:38:35 AM
The only legit way to get this theme is from http://themeforest.net/item/betheme-responsive-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/7758048 If anyone is interested in this, I would recommend to just buy it from the creator.

There are no resellers of this theme and reselling a "license" is not possible, so OP is obviously just selling a copy which is not allowed per license agreements. Probably even gives the "free" outdated download version.

Still I'm wondering why that certain attachment was deleted. Oh well.
Several unwanted features of the forum are literally disabled (in hardcoded way, probably even removed scripts/files) which decreases the potential risk of security vulnerabilities in those unused functionalities. Here some more examples. Attachments feature is also completely disabled, which is why you cannot see it anymore. It has nothing to do with that specific attachment.
648  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 08, 2015, 05:32:37 AM
That sounds more like a UI issue? Could show like popup "Game still running.. will divest after current games are finished" then "We divested 100 BTC. You still have x invested". And in addition there could be a "divest all" button that just gets all after current games finished. Etc. Pretty sure that's all possible. Or you don't mean that?
649  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 08, 2015, 05:20:35 AM
In theory it is a somewhat possible by making the logic "if divest, keep investment till current games are finished, new games don't include divested amounts". There would be a bit of a problem of potentially offering a "too big max profit" on those "new games" that started while "current games" are not finished. But that shouldn't matter too much I think (it should be a small difference.) PRC did something like that when they had investor-backed BJ.

But I understand it's not the focus or priority atm and a lot of difficult work.

651  Economy / Gambling / Re: Magicaldice.com | Officially Launched | Bitcoin Dice Website | Fancy Rolling on: October 07, 2015, 07:10:15 AM
Since only the homepage is slow, I think that the total stats are not "cached" but calculated on the spot. This means that the homepage will become slower every day as there will be more bets (and explains the 10 - 25 second load time upon opening the site.) In extreme examples it could time-out the visitor, leading to a 504 error. Heavy SQL queries like that can slow down the whole site too (making some "homepage loads" look like a DDoS attack.) If that's not the problem, I would advise putting some debug timer to see where it takes too much time on the homepage. To me it seems obviously 1 specific problem on the homepage, and if it gets slower after time IMO most times it's database related as the DB gets bigger.

I PMed this to cryptasm twice on the chatbox, but didn't get reply, so will just say it here.

Thanks Ryan Smiley have been automatically added to my site too.

@Dannie: the total wagered amount is more close again now too Wink

@JackpotRacer: the listed apps are responsible for 99.6% of the total wagered amounts and 99.9% of the profits. So I would say it is pretty complete. When I said that there are technically 600+ apps, I mean that some people created 100 apps for themselves for testing MP for bugs etc. In reality only few of the apps are really active.

You are correct that it also list apps which are already inactive or dead. That is why a gambler/player should definitely "never" visit that page hehe Tongue But for investors I think it is still relevant to see that the stats on the MoneyPot site are actually really based on the statistics of all the apps together. So I think it makes sense to list them all (as long as they have some wagered amount.)

But I agree I could add some cool stuff. Like a column with "wagered last 7 days" would be nice. Or even just 1 big graph that shows all MP apps with their daily profits. Or the "calculated HE" per week (currently the calculated HE is probably relatively low for investor because it got improved after the commission change - so would be nice to see it "per week".) Etc. etc. But I am currently too busy to make them hehe Sad (and tbh I feel like other features on my site currently have higher priority :X)
654  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 06, 2015, 03:30:51 PM
@NLNico

first of all let me tell you that all your work is very much appreciated and very helpful input for players, investors and app owners

600+ apps is a lot and I hope there will be many more. but who and what decides what is a popular and no popular app?

how would you call this app? if you look at the stats? IMO this app is a very interesting one for investors. IMO investors should know and get stats as much as possible. any investor will anyway at the end pick what is of interest for him.

Wagered           226,716,584 bits
Bets Profit            8,930,565.09 bits (3.94%)
Expected Profit    2,260,382.69 bits (1.00%)

My current criteria for the MP page is:

edit: my current criteria to be "somewhat" popular on MP is 10+ wagered OR more than 1 BTC profit/loss.

So I don't really mean "popular" at all (10 BTC wagered is nothing), I just don't want someone to create an app called "NLNico is a loser" and bet 1 bit so it can be on my own website. At least now there would have to be 10 BTC wagered or 1 BTC profit/loss.

edit: okay, I see you are talking about https://www.moneypot.com/apps/644-plaindicecom The problem is that I do not get that app from MP. I think that this is because it says "Domain Not Verified", so I might get it when the domain is verified. Another potential reason is that this app: https://www.moneypot.com/apps/504-plaindicecom has the same name. RHavar, can you confirm if it's either of these reasons?
655  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 06, 2015, 11:33:08 AM
I made this page for it http://dicesites.com/moneypot and the most popular MP site has historical stats/graphs: http://dicesites.com/betterbets If you do the extra math it can give a decent impression of the expectations, although it's not really complete.

I was comparing the numbers on your page and the numbers on the front page of MP. The "Bankroll" and "Investor Profit" seems right (small difference I assume because the stats on dicesites is updated every 15 min only), but there are quite some difference in "Bets" and "Wagered". Why is that the case?
Technically there are 600+ apps on MP. I only get the stats of somewhat popular ones and get the stats based on that. Bets, wagered and expected profit are each the "sum" from the "popular" MP apps.

So I am guessing the non popular apps total: ~7M bets (will be many small test bets, kinda irrelevant IMO),  315 BTC wagered (1% of total), ~1 BTC expected profit. Overall not much, but I will consider to add it.

Although my current setup is kinda interesting, as it allows you to compare the "total sum profit of listed apps" with the "MP listed profit".

edit: my current criteria to be "somewhat" popular on MP is 10+ wagered OR more than 1 BTC profit/loss.

How about legendary members? Tongue
657  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 06, 2015, 07:11:12 AM
Just want to explain better my thoughts about the bolded part: contrary of what you wrote I assume JD for BTC would be a better investing option because in the long run (I expect) profit will rise to reach  EV .
Actually, Both options are the same.  JD for BTC and JD for Clams both have a 1% edge.  Just because one is underperforming, and one is overperforming has no impact on future performance.  One can't say that because it is at 0.3%, that the site will have a >1.0% in the future.  It still has 1% in the future.

yes, it might rise up to get to the 1% total in the long run,

But that doenst mean that you as an investor will earn MORE than 1% of wagered in the long run.

Just because it is underperforming, doesnt mean that it'll quickly catch up..  wow this is really hard to explain.

I think that is like the classic gambler's fallacy Tongue

The profit should reach EV because the numbers get bigger, not because it's more likely to be "extra EV". The 1% HE is the same for both sites.

In comparison: gamblers say that when you have a coinflip, and after 1000 bets it's 40% tail, it's more likely to be "head" because it will get close to 50%. However, it will get close to 50% because the sample will become bigger, not because there is a bigger chance for any side to win - that's still 50%.

Sent you a PM in case you're looking to sell more btc via pokerstars Smiley

Just wanna say that I had a decent amount of PS<>BTC trades (avg $100 I think) with Planetist for more than a year. Last time (1-2 weeks ago?) I also sent first (for $50 if I remember correctly), mostly because we read each other's PM slow that time Tongue and I personally did/do trust him.

Still I never vouch (as in "guarantee") on principal and I personally don't escrow, but just sharing my good trading experiences with him and saying I do trust Planetist myself.
659  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 06, 2015, 05:18:20 AM
I agree with RHavar there, but IMO the historical data of wagered amounts (and therefor expected profit) is relevant in deciding to invest in a site. If the wagered amount is fairly stable you can make an estimation of estimated profits for the future (together with house edge / commission / your BR share.) Even though the actual profits can look different because of variance.

The historical data of actual profit is indeed rather useless for deciding to invest, because of variance.

I think that is what hopenotlate meant. Currently MP only shows "actual profit" but you cannot imagine if it's high/low/normal because of variance. For that you need to know "expected profit".

That being said, I actually have an hidden page that shows those "estimated gains" for all invest-sites (based on wagered/BR/HE/commission.) But it's hidden because it might motivate investors to invest in whatever site gives the "best numbers" without realizing the most important factor:

and how much you trust the site

Ps, I actually use short-term expected vs actual profits myself to decide to invest. This sounds like a fallacy, but let me explain. I believe with the current sites when a whale wins big, the chances are high he losses it all the next days after that. I don't really base this on variance/math or whatever, just on how it goes a lot of times. So I personally actively monitor sites to see where there was a big win (generally from 1 player) in the last 1 or 2 days. And if I estimate the player will keep playing, I invest more at that site. Worked great for me so far Tongue
