1041  Economy / Gambling / Re: Provable fairness good practices on: April 15, 2015, 07:06:53 AM
In yes, what would be the best way to prevent this ? Could we simply add some secret <server hash> that changes every 24h and use it with the block hash in the calculations ?
What would be the best way to implement provable fairness in a game based on the block hashes ?
Yes, if you are doing blockchain bets and use the blockchain hashes you must have some server secret for extra safety vs miners.

If you use "instant bets" so not on blockchain (also called "off-chain") you can just use a server seed and client seed + nonce only.

For a better understand of provably fair mechanism I recommend everyone to read my article about it: http://dicesites.com/provably-fair If you really understand the concept it is not too hard to see the weaknesses, which is mostly things like having an exploit that leeks the server seed (even a regular SQL injection can probably read the seed from the DB etc.) I am planning on writing some articles about these weaknesses.

Can anyone give a computation on what is the house edge?
(1-63/64)*100 = 1.5625% They do say they give up to 0.4% rakeback which would be 1.1625% HE then. I am not sure how quickly you gain rakeback levels.
1043  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDice.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Low 0.5% Edge ★ Referral ★ Fast Cashout ★ Fair on: April 14, 2015, 06:40:47 AM
Sorry guys, was an error on my side Smiley

SafeDice verifier online: http://dicesites.com/safedice/verifier

BTW: for the admins, the verifier tool takes parameters, so it's possible with: /verifier?ss=*serverseed*&cs=*acountseed*&ln=*lastnonce*&n=*firstnonce*&ssh=*serverseedhash* to send a specific bet or nonce range and have it verified. Could be an option for the bet detail page or after randomizing server seed. Just so you know that option Smiley
1044  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDice.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Low 0.5% Edge ★ Referral ★ Fast Cashout ★ Fair on: April 14, 2015, 06:22:11 AM
Added SafeDice to http://dicesites.com

edit: verifier http://dicesites.com/safedice/verifier works now too.
1045  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceSites.com - List of dice sites w/ statistics, graphs & verifiers on: April 14, 2015, 06:17:33 AM
Thanks for all the feedback and replies guys.

Hello and thanks for listing us and showing very interesting stats on your site! I see it appears to be listing Max profit for Satoshi Dice in almost real time but the bankroll is not updated so often. I made the global stats API call also return the current bankroll at https://session.satoshidice.com/globalstats/ and hope that would make things easy to use! (I'll be adding cold current cold storage addresses and balances too)
Cool, updated.

Also:
- added SafeDice + SafeDice provably fair verifier
- added JustDice provably fair verifier finally
- added all currencies for BitDice

I am still planning to add much more sites/casinos/features/tools/etc. if I am less busy Smiley

Yeh too lazy to email for 5 chips though :p but just giving feedback, I know they already know they have stability / dc issues, but hope at least "auto reconnect" or some popup could be made.
1047  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 13, 2015, 04:02:35 AM
Just got disconnected from hyper turbo. No popup error / reconnecting thing, just message "disconnected" on table. Obviously didn't notice before blinding out. GG. Not really complaining about the stability but especially there should be some auto-reconnecting or popup with info etc.
1048  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: April 12, 2015, 07:11:04 AM
AFAIK the odds of having exactly 1 win out of exactly 15 rolls with 66% odds are 0.000273%. That might seem insane but with the billions of bets PD has, it's gonna happen fairly often. UL tho.
1049  Other / Meta / Re: Please No (Hard) Drug Avatars on: April 12, 2015, 06:59:12 AM
I am recovering Monero addict. Please remove your avatar then.
I think this is a pretty dick thing to say. There is a huge difference between being a recovering drug addict and being annoyed at shitty alt coins with no value.

Assuming the OP is telling the truth then he it trying to get his life back on track after most likely hitting rock bottom. A monero avatar is noting more then a minor annoyance at the very worse.

in theory the OP could end up relapsing and ruining his life and/or someone else's life from looking at the avatar in question. You might end up being annoyed for another 2 seconds while scrolling past his posts after looking at his avatar.

There is a huge fucking difference. I am not sure if those kinds of avatars should be censored or not, however you need to learn to be much more respectful.
I was planning to make the same "joke". Not so much because it's supposed to be funny, but mostly because it's absurd to censor ourselves based on what someone feelings might be. Everyone can feel insulted by anything. I am sure there are people who made huge losses by some alt coin and might got depressed because of it, so any logo of that alt coin can make them feel bad too. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed. I think that was the point of EAL.

I think the rule of "NSFL" is clear enough and unless it was a photo of a half-dead meth junky that's bleeding on the streets, it is obviously pretty safe.

It's fair enough that there are some instructions for OP to self-censor, and it seems with this topic (adblock, ignore, etc), there are ways. Also I would personally probably still change the avatar out of respect and because it's a pretty lame avatar, but should be allowed imo.

Ok another thing. Not bitching just seriously wondering about what you guys (especially Micon) think:

DeepTurbo, I was CO or something, was planning to shove / steal blinds w/ my short stack. And before it's even my turn, the button says "im allin". What to think about that? Is that normally considered allowed? I highly doubt they would be happy at live poker with that? Because of that I actually folded.

It might have saved me chips and I am not on a witch-hunt to get the guy chat-banned at all, but just seriously wondering about the rules of that. He did do it multiple times btw. Perhaps it's just grey area or completely fine, idk. Opinions? Smiley
1051  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 12, 2015, 05:11:52 AM
So once again I didn't get cards:

Closed and opened table real quick, still no cards:

Next hand, still no cards:

That should definitely not happen. I quickly restarted whole client after that hand and got cards now, but still might have missed some value there..

edit: Fox told me about the refresh button, I forgot about that.. still the client could have some logic "if no hole cards, refresh the damn thing" imo..?
1052  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 10, 2015, 04:22:00 AM
Had some lag earlier and timed out in just a few seconds ("sitting out" > folded hand on turn.) Obviously had a good hand and would get some chips in this DeepTurbo thing. I cannot really believe that 1 minute timebank isn't automatically used when u get disconnected or something. This was like high priority on seals to-do's list. Can this be made on the new client? TY MICON.

The universality of a browser option cannot be ignored.  I think the reply from the bosses was that power users prefer desktop clients and (tacitly) that they value fewer power-users over more casual players.

That seems wrong to me. The "power users" will go where the fish are, and the fish are in the browser. Smiley
I have been playing pretty actively Stars MTTs lately, and I conclude that the fish are definitely on mobile and tablets Tongue (you can see those mobile icons next to player)

Anyway, not really looking to go into that discussion, I personally assume they started with what Grid already had and now what the developer's capabilities are TBH.

edit: no offense to dave23 and my other android seals mates Tongue just my observation on Stars.
1055  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pocket Rockets Casino 2nd Anniversary promo: Win a PS4, HD TV, nVidia Shield! on: April 04, 2015, 09:08:47 AM
Nice promo Smiley lost 0.1 already on blackjack for a chance to get that "top of the range, large HD TV" lol.
1056  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 01, 2015, 05:20:35 AM
Small bug:

Fold checkbox unchecks before it hides. So if I press that fold button twice just when the action turns to me. The next hand will have fold checked automatically too.

Small thing, should be easy to fix, but can be a big thing if one misses a premium hand in important stage of MTT.
1057  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: April 01, 2015, 04:22:58 AM
I just keep spamming/boosting teh deepturbo (together w/ some others.) New record, 33 players, 300 for first, almost 1 coin prizes (2.7x GTD)... cool stuff IMO Smiley

Yes.
1059  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 28, 2015, 03:41:23 AM
Over half of Primedice daily users are now Russian (53.56%) .

Most VPNs have servers in USA/UK/NL/Canada/etc. Russian servers are IMO not popular at all for VPNs for the western market. Of course you can connect to Russian VPNs if you want. But to think the number of Stunna is wrong because of Americans using Russian VPNs or something, is a bit silly Tongue
