1601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dollar supporters destroy Bitcoin ATM in El Salvador on: September 16, 2021, 09:06:04 PM
It's all because how the media portrays bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Their people now thinks that the government officials are now going to use bitcoin to launder money and engage in corruption. If only those "dollar"/fiat currency supporters knew how bitcoin worked, I bet they would be more than happy to allow the integration of bitcoin. Their people who supports bitcoin should start preaching how bitcoin can be used against their government to stop them from any sort of financial corruption. Lets see how it all ends up  after a few month.
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best cardano-ADA wallet on: September 16, 2021, 09:01:11 PM
hey
im looking for a wallet for ada crypto,
lots of unknown wallet is what i het from searching,
how is your experience ? which wallet is secure and trusted for ada?
Use their official (developed by IOHK and Emurgo) wallets Yoroi or Daedalus wallet. Go to cardano's official website -> Individual -> Daedalus/Yoroi (better to go from there instead of googling the wallets name so you don't end up downloading a fake wallet). Yoroi is the light wallet. Its a browser extension. No need to download the whole chain. While Daedalus is the full node wallet. You will need to download the whole chain (~8 GB right now). You can stake your coins using both the wallet.
Don't forget to backup your phrase!
1603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you already noticed about the changing of identity verification of Binance ? on: September 16, 2021, 06:23:37 PM
This warn has made on 2021-08-20 13:01. But today when I using binance app it was showing a notification again and again, And I force me to read it. The notice was about the changing of user Identify verification . A lot of change there. You guys always should take care about it before the deadline.

Here is a portion of the article. To read it details plz visit the source link .

I thought they did this a month or two ago? Binance services isn't available where I live. Can't even use Binance.us. So was using Binance.com until they started to force people to go through KYC and reduce withdrawal limit. Even though I received an email about changing my withdrawal limit to 0.06 BTC, it was never changed. It's still 2 BTC daily limit for me. I use it sometimes, but not for any large exchange. I don't trust bianance. You never know when they end up locking your account and getting your funds stuck over there forever because they don't support your state. I guess different countries are got them real good with regulation. Last time I read it was Singapore trying to sue binance for not following the countries law.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of legends on: September 16, 2021, 06:10:18 PM
I guess what that guy meant is that those kinds of betting are only made by "legends" (they are calling themselves legends over here) and people that are "elite" (rich and has access to the VIP club) are the legends. It's just a regular betting made between them. They were either joking about betting their cars, or they are so rich that they don't even care if they lose the bet. Golf is for everyone. Those are just some rich people having fun by betting their cars. Nothing else.
1605  Economy / Speculation / Re: More Investment to Bitcoin? on: September 16, 2021, 05:44:27 PM
Some country are now accepting bitcoin as currency and the billionaires is now hoarding thousands of Bitcoin. Should I wait for the success of El Salvador's implemetation of bitcoin before investing?
I think if they become a more successful country by accepting bitcoin, others will implement too. There will be more investors and the bitcoin will be pump again?
I just hope I'm not wrong this time.  Huh
This is something that you should decide. Its your money, its your investment and its you who knows what is best for you. Random people will tell you to invest just because you have the money. But they don't actually know what your financial conditions are or doesn't even care if you make a loss. You think you can afford to lose all the money you are going to invest in bitcoin? If yes, then why wait? Go ahead and hold it for long term. Even if other countries doesn't follow what El Salvador is doing or even if the country fails, I doubt you will make any loss. In the short run, there might be some hiccups, but in the long run, you will be making profit.
1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is not Legalized Despite the Many Benefits on: September 16, 2021, 05:32:25 PM
What do you mean by "legalized"? As far as I know it is legal to use, own or trade crypto currencies in most part of the world. Only few countries out there has made bitcoin illegal for some weird or unknown reason. If you are talking about why they are not making it a legal tender, then its more complicated than you think. Most crypto currencies are decentralized. So its hard for the government to track or impose proper regulation. Hence they don't want to make it a legal tender. At least not now but maybe in the future they will come up with something. Also risk associated (the volatility) with it is high, hence holding back the countries from making it a legal tender.
1607  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 16, 2021, 05:14:01 PM
I also feel bad about this imagine in almost every establishments and businesses and even government center? they are requiring a Vaccine card before allowing to enter or transacting? this is unfair because not everyone is willing to partake in that vaccination process and also don't want that vaccine inside their body so what is this all about?
it is against their will so why treating like this, they must treat people freely and let them have what they want as long as there is a protocol inside the building.
there is a campaign here now about disregarding these rules and it is getting more and more sympathy and sooner will win i guess.
Sure they can "treat people freely", but most anti-vaxxers are very stubborn. They are against vaccination and don't want to get vaccinated. They encourage people not to take vaccines. Ok, we are fine with that. But then again, most of the anti-vaxxers are against wearing mask, going through quarantine or maintain any sort of social distance. According to them, everything is a hoax and a scare tactic used by the government to control the people. I mean how blind or stupid do you have to be to act like this?
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what are some of the new projects we should keep eyes on it? on: September 15, 2021, 11:19:50 PM
Today I was reading fascinating story of Bitcoin and Ethereum. That was really interesting read. And I thought, what if there are other ongoing/emerging projects? Do you know any of them? Those that are not on the mainstream media yet.
If its not on the mainstream media yet, then probably it is still very underdeveloped and yet to offer something really good. Investing in those projects comes with a very high risk. High chance you might lose everything. Nonetheless, you can still try out your luck. Head over to coinmarketcap. Look at the list of coins/tokens and start learning about them. See which one you believe has potential. Join the community and see how they are working. Or if you are looking for existing good projects, then have a look at cardano and solana. They both are currently trending. Invest at your own risk. Hold them long term for better returns.
1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will its price start being stabilized? on: September 15, 2021, 10:35:31 PM
The price won't stabilize any time soon. If you are looking for a stable priced crypto currencies, then try those stable coins. You see the amount of bitcoin is limited. But the demand keeps on rising and falling. Hence, the price goes up an down along with the demand of bitcoin. Bitcoin will never have a stable price. What we might get eventually is a "less volatile" price. The more the people starts using bitcoin, the more its spread among people, the less volatile it will become eventually.
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concern about the the problem of online underaged gamblers. on: September 15, 2021, 09:44:06 PM
On the notification panel of my android device and that of many other devices of people in my locale that i have come across, I noticed too many pop up ads about one gambling site or the other, which with a click, you will find yourself in the interface of an online casino or betting site asking for you to sign up and get huge bonuses, I also observed that when using the chrome browser on my cell phone to surf some websites on the internet, I am forcefully redirected to some gambling and betting websites that opens up on the tab as well.

I'm concerned for the underaged and how easy these things have become so exposed to them. I did a little research as to the statistics of underaged gamblers for last year, and according to an article, "39% of 11-16-year olds have bet their own money" as at when published in October 2020.

https://www.roulettesites.org/blog/responsible-gambling/underage-gambling.php

Just like pornographic sites, I don't think online gambling sites and casino's can fully checkmate underaged users that sign up, and as a result, unfortunately i see the number of underaged gamblers worldwide to increase significantly by October this year.

What are your thoughts?, What are the possible solutions to the problem of the rising number of online underaged gamblers?
Advertisements are something that can't be avoided. As far as I know, most of the advertisements are targeted so casinos can get appropriate audience. Unfortunately, there is nothing much the casino can do to avoid underage gambling. I mean they can force all users to go through KYC as soon as the user registers, but most of the people won't be happy with that. As far as I know almost all fiat casino requires you to pass the KYC. I guess eventually even crypto casinos will be forced to make all users pass the KYC due to regulations.
1611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does the scammer companies earn through bitcoin ? on: September 14, 2021, 10:49:32 PM
I am new to bitcoin and come from a third world country. One of my friend told me a company came telling all to invest 150 USD in an scheme and then they can earn daily about 6-7 USD regularly by watching ads for the rest of their life. My friend earned 6-7 USD everyday by watching an ad of 8 minutes. He got paid instantly and also told me about the Binance mobile app. This worked for almost 1.5 months. Then the company disappeared. Those who invested lately couldnt get their money. I want to know how this process works. How is this related to bitcoin and how can one earn just by watching ads ?
They aren't earning "through bitcoin". They are earning by "scamming people". You are making it sound like bitcoin is used for scamming people. Like one of the user mentioned, it has nothing to do with bitcoin. Your "friend" probably joined a ponzie scheme where he was getting paid a lot for watching random advertisements. As long as people are investing in that "scam company", everyone will get paid. Once people start trusting them and more people starts investing, they will disappear with those money. It's sad that people still fall for scam like those.
1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm back into Bitcoin! on: September 14, 2021, 10:45:00 PM
Hello everyone, I recently did a cleanup on my external hard drive and I found a wallet.dat file.

At first I didn't have any idea of what this was, so I went ahead and deleted the file and continued my cleanup. I was still pretty intrigued by the filename, "wallet" so I looked up the exact name of the file: 'wallet.dat'. The first search result was this: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Wallet. I read that it's basically a file containing all of the important information related to a Bitcoin wallet. I also read that this file is normally located in the Bitcoin Core wallet directory, so I went ahead and installed the latest version of Bitcoin Core and looked in my trash bin folder, and sure enough, the wallet.dat file was in there. I had to wait 2 days or so for it to sync to the blockchain. Unfortuantely, I knew did not mine any BTC back then, I could only remember visiting a faucet a few times.

Today I woke up to this: 2.49 BTC sitting in the balance field. Man, I knew Bitcoin wasn't worth 20$ anymore! Let me tell you, this made my day, probably, my week or even this entire year!

Is there anything I need to do now that I'm holding a pretty big amount of Bitcoin? I've read that hardware wallets are the safest, should I buy one? Is there anything I need to know?
That's nice to know that you are back into bitcoin. Lucky you didn't permanently delete those files, or else it would have been such a trouble to recover those deleted files (or worse, you would have never know what was in that wallet!). Now the first thing to do is to move the coins to a more secure wallet. Like you said, hardware wallets are the best. If you are planning on holding it for long term, then cold wallets are the best. So go ahead, buy on those hardware wallets. Its not very expensive. And maybe you would like to convert a little portion of your bitcoin into some other altcoins for better gains (risks are involved).
1613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The life span of bitcoin is till infinity on: September 13, 2021, 09:38:34 PM
I don't think bitcoin is "till infinity". No technology can last till infinity. Don't you think people had the same thought with metals or paper currencies were used? They probably thought or think that paper money is going to be here forever. But no. It won't last forever. Metals got replaced. Fiat paper money will highly likely get replaced too. In the similar way, bitcoin or crypto currencies my no longer exist as technology gets better and superior. Something might get invented that might totally replace crypto currencies.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot vs Video Poker on: September 13, 2021, 09:28:32 PM
Modern-day gambling has increased the quest to gain more skills in playing the various gambling games, while some games require skills to play them, others are relatively simple to play and require little or no skills in playing them.
As the topic specifies slot and video poker are the most friendly and simple games to play for me but the two have some disparity which I will love us to discuss on this thread.
1 what are the similarities between slot games and video pokers?
2 between slot and video poker which is more technical and requires skills to play?
3 what are your personal experiences with both games?
Game of chances require luck. Skill doesn't matter much when it comes to most of the gambling games.
1. The main similarity between them is both depends completely on luck.

2. Video poker requires a little more understanding than playing slots. You need to know some rules before you play, but when it comes to slots, you just have to spin and hope you win.

3. Video poker was bit more fun to play than playing slots. Slots become boring the longer you play. At least in video poker you need to interact with the game and guess what's going to happen next.
1615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: September 11, 2021, 12:59:01 PM
I fellas I have two questions to ask crypto experts and investors in this forum today

1. Is this a good time to build crypto portfolio?
2. Do you really think that bear market will be a dipping as 2018?

Now that crypto is gaining more investors day by day and crypto adoption is increasing massively I don't think that the next bear market will be crazily low like 2018/2019, what do you think?

1. Do you have enough money to invest in crypto currencies? I mean, can you afford to lose all your money after investing in crypto currencies? If yes, then now is the perfect time for you to build your portfolio.

2. No one knows. No one can answer that for you. The dips are the risk that you have to take. As long as you don't sell during a bear market, you won't be making any loss.
1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wrong to be a long term holder on: September 11, 2021, 12:45:53 PM
Why do people refuse to take profits when their coins and tokens are surging so high? Should this be called greed or they simply have strong believe that the coins and tokens will worth more in future? Is it wrong to keep holding coins even when they bring 1000x profits cos everyone seem to be talking about 'greed' here and there
Because they are thinking about the future. You do not sell when you are holding long term. I don't think its "greed" that is making them hold for long term despite the price going very high. They all have a profit goal. They will only sell it when they reach the goal. Besides most people hold long term for their retirement years. Trust me, you will regret if you sell now. Keep holding, don't try to time the market and just go with the flow (exit strategy is important too!).
1617  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where can I sell my crypto gambling account? on: September 11, 2021, 12:14:47 PM
Where can I sell crypto gambling accounts?
I have two accounts, one is BC.GAME VIP level 30 account and the other is Betfury.io level 6 account

I am pretty much sure that selling or trading your gambling account will be against the terms of service of that particular casino. You will likely lose your accounts if you get caught. The one that buys your account would be under indefinite risk. He will start blaming you if anything happens to his account. If you still want to sell your account, then head over to the "Invites and Accounts" board under marketplace section over here. If your account is a verified account, I would advise you not to sell it.
1618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is Trending on Twitter on: September 11, 2021, 12:14:46 AM
Hello.. All. From the Past Few Hours BTC is Trending on Twitter on Technology Category. Any Good News from the BTC side or  something else?
-snip-
That's nothing new. Look at the current events. Its probably because of the news about El Salvador making bitcoin a legal tender. So everyone is tweeting about it and using the hash tag Bitcoin. Or maybe people are talking about twitter allowing users to tip each other with bitcoin. Or is it the crash that has made #bitcoin a trending topic? You will see bitcoin trending every time the market goes up or faces a huge crash.
1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice multiplayer theory on: September 11, 2021, 12:09:14 AM
Dice is the most popular game in modern-day casinos. The reasons remain clear to me but am a fan of dice, as it doesn’t take much energy to play and win on a single game.

But I want to know the basic theory to play within a multiplayer?
You mean a PVP dice instead of house dice? Well that would be interesting. I guess it's going to be the same. Each user will place a bet and then decide if they are going to roll over or under a certain number. After deciding, both of them rolls the dice. The one that predicts correctly wins everything, while the other loses. If both of them predicts correctly, then its going to be a draw. Or maybe something like who can roll the highest? Two player rolls a dice. The one that rolled the highest or lowest number wins.
1620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you profit from the dip on: September 11, 2021, 12:05:25 AM
It's very easy to say that you can profit from a market dip. Lets say that the market takes a dip and then you bought some coins. What if the market dips even further after few days? You will then have to buy even more to reduce your average buy price. Or you can just keep waiting for the market to recover. What if it takes years? What if it never reaches the point that you were expecting it to reach? It's all risky. But without risk, you get nothing.
