1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Petition to recall Brock Pierce on: May 16, 2014, 08:50:35 PM
Despite the election of Brock Pierce to the Bitcoin Foundation, new information has come to light which might have influenced voters opinion had this information been available earlier.  Please vote here whether to recall Brock Pierce.
1622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] Do you like or hate the Bitcoin foundation? on: May 16, 2014, 07:19:53 PM
Funny.... would Bitcoin have been created if Satoshi was required to publish his name, picture, boss's phone number and home address?

I thought so..

My thoughts exactly.  People who are able to safely express all of their ideas in the open don't have any ideas of their own.

yeah, well, the problem with anonymity is that while people can state their honest opinion without fear of backlash, people can also make statements for the sole purpose of inciting fear and anger.
Did I misstate some facts?
1623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet Emergency! on: May 16, 2014, 07:14:57 PM
I configured Windows Defender to ignore bitcoin-qt.exe and AppData/Roaming/Bitcoin folder. Problem solved.

I love it!  When the 'check engine' light comes on, just break the LED!  Problem solved!
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: The Official Mastercoin Foundation, Master Protocol & Mastercoin Thread on: May 15, 2014, 03:02:56 PM
the developers are working on other things.
Good to hear.  I am glad they are all working on other things.  However, NXT has developed a very large community which includes at least three old Mastercoin Protocol programmers and a very active forum with hundreds of thousands of inputs.  Mastercoin has fewer than 200 posts and those are of very low quality content.  Let's face it, the programmers can work all day on the engine, but the marketing and front end guys have already lost the war.  No matter what gets developed from here, it is going to be nearly impossible to attract further interest through the awful face of Master Protocol.  Maybe we need the NXT guy to defect and come here for a while.

Or listing on any other exchange. Thats all we need.
We need volume and this requires listing on more exchanges like BTer, Poliniex.

'volume' is only a valid reason for price drops in pump and dump schemes.  We don't need more exchanges. The exchange we have works very well indeed.  What we need is more confidence in the technology.  One of the ways confidence is promoted is by good vigorous debate and conversation.  Since the Master Protocol forum is such garbage, there is no conversation whatever.  That explains the price decline.  Not the lack of a trading platform.

No problem here with mastercoin sites.
You didn't notice a lack of participation?
1625  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's official! The Bitcoin Foundation has an accused pedophile on its board. on: May 10, 2014, 07:32:27 PM
"accused"?
Let me know when he is convicted of something.
Phinnaeus Gage is also an accused pedophile.  Don't believe a word he says.  And certainly don't let your kids near him.
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mastercard hired 5 lobbyists to slam bitcoin in US Congress on: May 10, 2014, 02:45:46 PM
http://www.forbes.com/sites/perianneboring/2014/05/09/secs-investor-warning-on-bitcoin-could-stifle-innovation/

What a load of crap.  Why does MasterCard truly want to push down bitcoin?  Is it because they are concerned for the good of people?  Or is it they don't want competition?

How could such a thinly veiled plan be effective?  Can congress be so dumb that they accept this bias position of MasterCard in their attempt to squeeze competition?

Unfucking-believable that they are allowed to do this.

Of course, bitcoin has no lobbyists.

All of this bias is disgusting.  Are there no professionals here?
You do realize this is the internet - right?

Yes.  Doesn't mean you leave your morals at the "Login".
Morality or professionalism?  I think you are changing the subject.  What about sick sense of humor?  Should we leave that at the door too?  At least one guy laughed:
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Bobby Lee?
He's Chinese.  Maybe not as bad as a pedophile, but nevertheless pretty bad.

Look, I am no advocate for the wierdos, but the way I see is we've got a chink, a goxer, a money launderer, and a pedophile.  At least we don't have a jew.

1630  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's official! The Bitcoin Foundation has an accused pedophile on its board. on: May 09, 2014, 07:15:41 PM

Look Phinnaeus asshole - you are also an accused pedo!  I allege you are a child rapist.  Now, you too can't get on boards and participate in anything ever again.

You can't hang a guy just because someone accused him of being a pedo.  He isn't convicted.  There wasn't even a trial.  You are dumbass to punish him as if it is a certainty.

That Swiss guy who sued him put loads, and loads of shit in the complaint.  You can't pretend it is all true and hold the guy out as if he was convicted.  That guy who sued overstated many things to support his case.  Now, you run around like the guy just got out of jail for raping little boys.

Time to give it a rest.  The voters voted.  It is settled.  More people believe in him than believe in you.  You pedophile.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ - China Bank Warning!!! on: May 09, 2014, 03:17:17 PM

China is dead too.

Requested a new activation email - did not receive anything yet (not in spam). I'm using a gmx.com email account. Will update if I receive something.

ya.ya.yo!

if you did not receive anything at all, can you share your email or user name here and I will check the user log, perhaps there was a typo

just emailed you

Received your email thank you! So there is no typo. Did still not receive any activation email.

ya.ya.yo!
Don't worry, they have their best programmers working on it.  This will be solved soon.  Probably about the same time KnC gets their Neptunes shipped.
1633  Economy / Economics / Re: That isn't how the banking system works!! on: May 08, 2014, 02:24:25 PM
i agree you do seem to hate people, which explains your trolling and also lack of knowledge of banking systems due to not interacting with people outside your basement.

have a nice day

Yes... I was asking if Fiat was a car...  Like I said.. I hate people... even more now.  Why does everyone always assume they are some sort of brilliant god compared to all other people.. You are not.

I've been dealing with money way longer than you

So does that make you a 'brilliant god'?

Dude, you don't even know what 'fiat' is.  You've been dealing with money by paying $15 per month to your mother for rent in the basement.  You don't know a thing about money.  If you'd like to learn more about money and 'fiat' try this: www.google.com.  Come back in 25 years.

Also what do you mean by Fiat?
Everyone knows that: "Fix It Again Tony!"
1634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The new BitID Authentication System on: May 08, 2014, 02:21:55 PM
I don't understand the point of this at all when it takes all of 1 minute to create a blockchain account which you can use solely for identification purposes if you wish. Unless I am missing something here.
The thing you are missing is that these posters are a dumb as fuck.  They can't think past their tits.  You might as well try to explain this to your pet pig.  They aren't going to get it - ever.

"For Battery Ventures, which is investing from a $900 million pool of capital, Vaurum is the first bitcoin startup it’s backed"

http://blogs.wsj.com/venturecapital/2014/05/07/bitcoin-startup-vaurum-gets-4m-in-seed-funding-from-battery-ventures-tim-draper-and-steve-case/

More VC money is flowing each day into bitcoin projects.  Why isn't yours getting funded?  These guys have 900 million just sitting there waiting for you to tell them about your project.  Go for it now.

Uh oh.  Looks like a very slow start this time.  Is the going to be a price reduction soon?  Looks like it is pretty hard to flog 1.5T in this crowded market.
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ - China Bank Warning!!! on: May 07, 2014, 10:43:58 PM
Chinese could easily start exchanging BTC ....    Looks like there is no more fight "ant vs tree".
Edith Cresson the ex Prime Minister of France said Chinese people are like ants.  Did you get this analogy from her?
1639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WSJ - China Bank Warning!!! on: May 07, 2014, 09:26:23 PM

This is hilarious.  How many times are the Chinese bank going to announce they don't want to deal in bitcoin?  OK - good riddance China.  Bitcoin will develop just fine without China.

The only contribution so far from China was wild speculation.  Out of control idiots trying to get rich quick is the last thing bitcoin needs.  Let everyone else go build some nice companies - while China keeps running to the press telling them how evil bitcoin is.  WTF?

I think it is funny that China and Russia are doing everything imaginable to get behind in the bitcoin revolution.

I own most gear around and admit that S2 is more hobbying while SP products are solid industrial.
Both are garbage and 100% not going to ROI.  Don't buy anything if you know what is good for you.  Buy and hodl!  Mining is done.  That ship has sailed and is now gone.  No need to pay too much for equipment which will be dead in less than 6 months.
