1641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QTL] Quatloo, A DarkWaveGravity Scrypt Coin LAUNCHED! 6/27/2014 on: August 24, 2014, 11:29:34 PM
I've literally only just read about Quatloo in the last 20 minutes, and I have to say, I'm in....

I just bought 1,000+ on Bittrex, but even in the time I was reading the price went from 6600 to 7000+....

I've never used trading software, so tomorrow will be my first attempt - looking forward to it Smiley

The amusing part is most spreads will narrow to almost nothing, should get crazy!..  Quatloos themselves will likely skyrocket quite high! (A robo-pump as the coin has a bot included! Brilliant!)

Easy to use too actually, just be careful with some settings.
1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QTL] Quatloo, A DarkWaveGravity Scrypt Coin LAUNCHED! 6/27/2014 on: August 24, 2014, 10:03:42 PM
Price is rising steadily. It's not even close to being late to buy in yet. Even at the highest spike the market cap only broke a little over 150k. Once Quatloo begins to get more exposure and people see it's use/value there is so much more room for growth.

So right!  the time is now.. its happening.

I sort of liked this being one of the best kept secrets in cryptos... oh well, time to buy faster!

Love the concept and the trader works great! Wink
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GB] $ GreenBacks $ ~ A Complete Currency & Infrastructure ~ LAUNCHED on: August 24, 2014, 08:16:34 AM
Some of the best traders I know all seem to like this one, and I do as well. I am really big on strong brand names and this one has it. I checked into Goalcoin that they made before, and they supported it for months, maybe they still do... a very good sign!

With a market cap of  71k, assuming Greenbacks did well and hit a million, that would be 13X profits. (not impossible - seen it happen plenty with coins I bought/recommended - and higher) Anyway, I was told the dev is good and reliable and will definitely hold some Greenbacks for awhile and see how it goes. You can have a little patience if they are actually working on the coin... and it is much more relaxing to buy quality and not worry as much.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GB] $ GreenBacks $ ~ A Complete Currency & Infrastructure ~ LAUNCHED on: August 23, 2014, 05:34:01 PM

Love the name, and website looks sharp.. and it is not another freaking anon coin! (enough is enough!)

Sort of looks like some of the VRC features upcoming that people like too. Bought a little last night on Bittrex and will see how it goes.

Agreed.

I like this price, New investor. Can anyone give me a quick breakdown on where you guys are at. Very attractive price, May throw some coins at this

Most developed anon coin with the best "Network advantage" at least the most popular one. Trades on Bitfinex with Bitcoin and Litecoin, had an article in wired magazine. Has more status than most competitors. Real dev using real name rather than hiding. I bought more for a long term hold, in the short run likely some volatility along with everything else, but one of the few that has a point to exist besides Bitcoin.
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 18, 2014, 05:54:19 PM
this doesnt make any sense.  why would you want to keep your SYS if the wallet / forks dont get properly fixed?  i guess just dont request a refund, and maybe you can keep them - just not sure why you'd want them if the project is stopped.

Maybe because I don't mind giving more than 48 hours for the devs to resolve issues...   Roll Eyes

I would rather have a quality coin than some BTC back that will be going sideways at best. Give them a few days, and then be glad with your massive likely win later.

1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 18, 2014, 05:43:54 PM
After testing the other decentralized exchanges, the design they have does not work well for business, average users anyway, far too easy to make a mistake and lose money. I would never have an employee use one of their platforms, and if i ever do again, I will be much more careful with it.

The integrated marketplace for Syscoin appears the best "idiot proof" design, NXT is the worst and insta creates new accounts with any errors - insane! I bought more SYS after actually testing and seeing how problematic the others were. "Business on the Blockchain" has to be simple. This appears, to me, the best option for the moment, for having a chance to move beyond just a speculative tool for trading other speculative investments.

As for time it takes to get it right, if they can make it a huge success I can wait a few days.

Cheap coins! Smiley

Monero is ranked 41 and Croak is ranked 44 (at this moment) So I think it is all relative, and this is about the time I buy back in.

Moneros marketcap is not at 41 right now really. It's just a bug in the feed. As you can see the price for Monero have stayed the same, but the marketcap took a dive because the feed from monerochain is not working correctly.

Thanks for the correction, not trying to spread FUD. Things are grim all over.

BTCThe syscoinSetup.exe is malicious! Does anyone else have this message?

Yes, with most miners and most wallets. It is fine unless you downloaded it from somewhere unsafe. Check the first post.

The FUD was epic with this one! Guess some people didn't buy in the IPO? Lol... Relax and don't panic. Time is on our side. This looks way more developed than Viacoin (so far). Not as much as NXT, but solid.

The nodes and some details were a fumble, but if you sell now you are going to feel really foolish later.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mBTC@20 Thoughts on mBTC for ATMs and mass Bitcoin adoption by the public on: August 16, 2014, 06:38:36 PM
This simple change would revolutionize Bitcoin expansion, in my view. This stuff is all psychological at the end of the day. Brains take shortcuts, bigger numbers are scary, smaller numbers feel safe. Just how it is.

Look, if you and your friends are more comfortable thinking in terms of mBTC - do it. Do it now. You don't need permission from a central authority to do it.

If this is a problem then it's a social problem.

But Bitcoin is vast. At one end there are 2100000000000000 "Satoshis". At the other end there are 21 MBTC. Neither end is more valid than the other; the rich guy buying an island for 1MBTC is no less important or relevant than the new convert who's trawling faucets, 20 Satoshis at a time. What your proposal - and similar proposals - implicitly suggest is: "there is a 'typical' Bitcoin user operating in the 0.1 BTC to 0.01 µBTC range, and these users are so important that we should impose a change that we hope will benefit them - but to the potential detriment of all other users".

Let us decide what nicknames we're going to use. Let us use real-world words like "micro" and "milli" if that's what we want. Let us call 0.01 µBTC a "Satoshi" if we want. Let us reappropriate existing local words (1.05 BTC is "a guinea". Just because.) But don't assume that your system is ideal for everyone, and please don't try and seek to impose it on the rest of us.

Late reply, sorry, I missed your post in the past. I am not starting another topic or trying to spam this concept, but since this is the *only* thread I have ever made on Bitcointalk.org, I will reply anyway, as it is the most important element to me not really being discussed in the realm of Bitcoin, besides Sybil attacks.

I am not seeking to impose anything at all, just discussing a viewpoint. Neither is more valid than the other, you are correct, as someone very used to Satoshis it would be easier for me to keep it exactly like it is. I am speaking of "Mainstream" however, people that are not Bitcoin users at all. That will never buy "A Bitcoin" - because in their minds they need to own an entire unit and it is too expensive for them. Not sure how many people you have surveyed about it, but I have actually talked to a lot of people, so I am pretty confident one of the barriers to adoption is the price... and the difficulty for many to grasp that you can simply buy a fraction. Easy for you and I, not everyone else is quite as logical.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blowing the lid off the CryptoNote/Bytecoin scam (with the exception of Monero) on: August 16, 2014, 05:05:33 PM
Originals usually hold value a little better than clones, but cloning a 'good' scam coin or a coin with extremely dubious distribution, makes Cryptonotes a little less predictable. (and why I rarely hold them)

Monero I guess is more like an original in this case, sort of. I do think getting the truth out there is good for Monero or people that think Bytecoin is legit and might be getting suckered in.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [PRE-ANN] NOSTRUM | 3rd Generation Coin | DECENTRALIZED MARKET + ANON on: August 16, 2014, 05:31:16 AM
Another shitcoin, newbie dev that I am 100% sure he has past scam coins before. Shitty anon which is Tor for sure and a fake decentralized market.

Post with your real bitcointalk username pussy, that's right you got no balls.

Agreed, total BS. There are quality coins out there, why buy Lambos for scammers?

I hope one of the pools merge VIA/SYS if possible.

Yes that is possible. Wink
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VIA] ★ Viacoin ★ ~ the future of digital currency ~ ★ on: August 14, 2014, 06:57:38 PM
so the pump and dump also is coming to an end for VIA?
It's so sad to see that the hole altcoin scene to be controlled by these a few p&d insider groups. Development and technologies don't even matter in the altcoin scene. The only thing people want to see is fast profits. This is not an investment Market, this is pure manipulation and greed.

The problem is VIA don't have any development and technologies, it's pure copycat from other coins. ClearingHouse/clearwallet is pure copycat of Cloaktrade idea. Tree chains is copy cat of blockchain(coinjoin,darkwallet..). Another problem, no one would create application for Tree chains as they will creating their own scam coin or tree chains. VIA don't even have the anonymous hype.

You keep posting this. I've read this from you few times already.  I'm not technologically inclined and I'm trying to understand.  I know that via has a team, people's names and I can see their profiles and read about them and see videos of them.

Who is behind cloak?

"The Dagger" - Newbie anon dev... They have almost a 100% failure rate over a few months, as they have no rep to worry about, and it is more profitable to just leave people to struggle, "bag holders."

If devs cant use their real Bitcointalk.org ID they are likely hiding their past scams or failures, so people are fools to trust them beyond the PnD. Cloak did go on for some time with development, but, so did Sharecoin and Sharecoinexchange. As for some newbie anon scam dev using one of his IDs to FUD, do the opposite of whatever they suggest.

I have read some posts by one of their real identities - and they even say not to trust newbie anon devs! (Darkcash scammer out of Santa Cruz)

BTCdrak and Peter Todd and his team are reliable. (Peter Todd is pretty much legendary)
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XCH] ★ ClearingHouse ★ Initialization Stage ★ on: August 12, 2014, 05:40:31 PM
lol ahhhhh dont no what to do change or keep.

keep some. exchange some  Grin

I agree that makes the most sense, I went 50/50 just based on a hunch.

I think the platform will be successful, so in that case they should both go up in value... As XCH burning gets more expensive slowly over the 45 days - I figure now is the time to get my XCH.
