About a month ago I discovered Darkcoin. I bought in over .02 after reading about what it was trying to do. I invested far more than I should have as I was certain it would keep going up.
I am in absolute despair right now, I still haven't told my wife how much I lost. Honestly, I'm terrified of the thought. It was money we could have used as a down payment on a house, or to send the kids to college. Money that pretty much would have been useful somewhere else.
We live in an apartment and have been saving for a house for years.
I'm sick to my stomach now. I can't sleep at night because my mind races through series of 'what-ifs.' I honestly don't know what to do. How do I tell my wife the money is gone?
I'm thinking about leaving everything behind and going off to some other country as that is how heavy the burden feels right now. I know my kids would miss me but I can't stand the thought of them knowing how much of a failure I am.
It's hard to read about all these people talking about all their profits and how much they made. I hope they realize for everything they've gained is off the back of someone like me who saw something they thought was a worthwhile investment and got burned.
DRK isn't over by a long shot, in my view, and this *may* be at the bottom. Even if you sell, maybe just keep a few long term and later perhaps it will make up for the loss. Whatever coin wins Anon is going to be huge, and the investments in the Anon craze is all because of the success of DRK. It is the #5 Crypto on the CMC, not like you bought into some IPO and the dev ran off with your Bitcoin. |

Not fudding either, the mkt cap is very very low right now, I'm thinking of buying in.
+1 Just stumbled on this coin today, think there is some huge upside potential if the dev team is legit. Marketcap low enough where you could easily see 10x+ increases if devs deliver and trade volume picks up; time will tell. Market cap is about $15k right now. The only way this isnt profitable to buy right now is if this turns out to be a total scam. That is pretty much what I am thinking. |

I am new to this crypto and I would like to make 300K too lol but I am trying to get grasp of things , sorry read op now  shouldn't have barked at you,my advice read then read more, know everything there is to know about anything your investing in, buy as much WKC as u can,when they hit 5-10 per coin then sell some of that profit and buy your self a few k of XC forget about the XC for 12 months, and we will see if you made 300k( more like a mil for every 1k you bought) WKC and XC are the only 2 coins you need worry about if you wanna make BIG money Sounds like a plan. |

XC must dump before we are going to go up again. Its the same bitcoin being bought and sold remember XC has already risen 50% today which is extremely big news for the high value coins and certainly not sustainable. When it dumps, and it will, then VRC will quickly rise to around 17,000 with large buy walls placed every 500 Satoshi down the order book back to the 14,000s. From there people, against all the advice I and others have given them, will dump - they will dump every coin they hold and cross their fingers for a drop in price. Unfortunately this wont happen. The dump will trigger an even larger wave of buys, sweeping aside all resistance in its path up to 20,000. Once 20,000 is hit it will climb very quickly in 2,000 Satoshi intervals at a time with little sell offs at each step. During this time we will see people talking about how DRK and XC and CINNI are all going down and VRC is "going back up again". This will cause the panic buyers - the same ones stupidly buying XC right now - to buy up VRC until it can't sustain the rise any further and further sell off occurs. This time however a new floor will be established around 20,000 and whenever the price approaches it the buys will start again.
VRC is cheap right now, XC is 50% dearer than it was yesterday and DRK is around 30% more expensive than yesterday. It is just a matter of time before those who have made a profit decide to buy up the cheapest coin with a strong volume - VRC.
Guess I will be putting up some walls to catch more VRC then. How low do you think DRK/XC will go? I sort of have a thing for coins with devs that don't hide their identities. They seem to actually deliver on promises, rather than vanish into the night. I think communities are also stronger when there is someone they can believe in, like with VRC. |

I have a feeling its not whales that are dumping - it's moronic day traders. The walls put up are the whales telling traders "If you want to sell your coins and buy into a pump on XC or CINNI you will have to sell under me". I remember when I first started out trading, not knowing any better, selling a whole bunch of DOGE at the bottom of a dump because I thought I could make more in the brand new 'Catcoin' market - Didn't work out so well, I sold in a dump and bought into a pump with CAtcoin and took a 50% hit in portfolio value.
Guys, be smart, you know all these markets are manipulated, you know that the pumpers have taken their foot off the pedal in order to attract you into buying coins like CINNI, XC and DRK which they have bought hundreds of thousands of in the past few days for around 30% less than you are buying them for.
It's sad when you people don't realize this and, blinded by greed, start buying into a pump only to be dumped on at the snap of the fingers and forced to come crawling back to the coin you sold low only to find that others have bet you to it and its now 10% more expensive than when you sold it.
Totally agree there. buy the good coins low, don't buy during the pump, at least not near the end! When I first started I did that sort of thing, not the best plan. Now I buy as good coins are going down. (Ones I believe will recover at least) |

My suggestion for a change of logo, is to leave it as it is  It looks awesome we have got to stop agreeing like this. I cant help it if we are both epic! I like the original logo myself. Maybe it could be enhanced or whatever. Nice and clean, professional. |

You're posting way too often to be confident in your predictions. We all know what desperation looks like. Lol just watch Mintpal - the market will verify my predictions - 17,700 was the low of the last dump, as I stated earlier 16,000s is probably where support will form, maybe a bit higher, maybe a bit lower. So far the market is moving as predicted. In saying that this is all just a bit of fun - none of us should take it too seriously, I've said my 10c, others have said theirs - It's all good. As you mentioned Darkcoin, people were posting pretty much the same predictions as you and it rose another 800% after. Same for BC when people sold at 10k on the early pumps. Support now looks more like 17000 to me. Who knows what the future will bring, and unless you are playing with 800+ BTC, or friends of those that are... you are taking your best educated guesses like the rest. At this moment looks like it is slightly trending up, but really, we will see how it plays out over the next few days. I personally think the coin is very strong and many underestimate it. The competition is pretty weak, and the direct competition will have a hard time using FUD against this coin as they have real baggage people could expose any time they feel like it. |

If you want a rich list you have two options. You can make it yourself. I would recommend blockparser. I even have a version for VeriCoin that half works ( http://github.com/pnosker/blockparser). Feel free to use that as the basis for your own to generate a rich list. The other option is to donate something to the BTC or VRC wallets belonging to the VeriFund. We will make sure it goes to somebody who advertises they will make a rich list. Frankly, we are spending our time developing features. Not making you more at ease that whales aren't going to dump on you. You can live with that or not. effectsToCause and I designed VeriCoin not to get rich (that would be nice) but rather as an exercise in making the best damn coin around. The best all around coin with fast transactions, high security, a reward for holders (dynamic PoS), accessibility (SMS wallet), and ease of spending. We are working on ANON just because it's been requested so many times though please mark my words: VeriCoin is not an ANON coin. It will be a great coin that happens to have the ability to perform anonymous transactions. I hope this answered most of your questions. TLDR: Either make the rich list yourself or buy it. We don't have time to do something that isn't an integral part of the coin. VRC will have ANON but ANON is not the selling point of the coin. The well-roundedness is. Perfect. I just bought a lot more. This is exactly what many of us have been waiting for. |

VRC is strong. Very happy with the trading today, and definitely holding some for the long haul. Did twice as well as XLB with unit count, and I don't think it will correct nearly as much as other coins with less inherent value. Great volume, and development continues.

The action that happened last night on mintpal was very similar to other large pre-pump action. There was a lot of downward pressure to bash the prices lower, get the panic sellers to let go, because larger forces are loading up at cheap prices for the first major PnD. The last few days have just been the getting onto mintpal cryptsy boom. There are some who see potential with this coin, and they're going to make it skyrocket before too long. It's the same action if you take the time to study other charts and orderbooks that DRK and XC have had lately. Given the traits VRC has, I can't see why it won't be equal to XC within the next week or two. (Full disclosure, I do on some VRC). I think a pump is coming, and I think it's going to be huge. Just my opinion, do your own research.
I hate to burst all your bubbles, but next week there will be a new coin released that is more "innovative" and has a "better story" to go with it. Volumes will switch to that coin for 2 weeks until next amazing coin is released. Rinse and repeat. There will always be another coin, true, but this one actually has real potential. Dynamic interest is the first real variation of the POS coins, and the low rate makes it possible to be a long term winner. This has a nice x11 Multipool that higher market cap coins are still trying to implement. It isn't a brand new coin, and yet, the devs are still working on it, which is better than many coins that become "community" coins by default, after getting dumped on the community and abandoned. Basically, the competition isn't that strong at all besides the top coins. Now, personally, I don't care about the anonymous stuff, but this coin will have it and it is being implemented in a way my tech advisors say is plausible. (Not just BS like many "Anon" Coins) Vericoin also has competent devs that are open and running an ongoing Q&A on Reddit. So we were able to check in more detail before investing. This coin also has a serious name and branding that I can actually recommend, and that people don't have to pretend there is an "illusion" of value, as there is some real value here. PnDing and all the crap will happen to every coin of any potential value, and honestly, it happens to almost every coin Mintpal decides to add, check the charts, and it hasn't really happened for this one yet. That is beside the point though. If these guys keep doing the work this coin could go somewhere and hopefully last. Maybe end up a top ten coin, and certainly lower quality coins have made it farther at least for a time. It has all the right elements in my view, and no, another animal coin or color coin isn't going to make it to the top 10. People are sick of that crap. This is the first serious coin in a while that offers something new for the POS coins. Subjective of course, but this one looks to be one of the best for the POS coins in my view. So the innovation here is the dynamic interest rate. The way it works is that the interest rate scales according to network stake. If there's a higher amount of staked coins, the interest rate goes up. That means the more "invested" you are in the coin, the more interest you will make.
This essentially gives incentive for you to hold your coin in your wallet rather than keeping it on an exchange, gives you reason to tell your friends to acquire some coin and keep it staking, etc. because it helps both you and them. It's the only coin that provides additional reward for keeping the coin. This part is good and got me interested. I am an investor, not a trader. It also provides a reasonable interest rate compared to Blackcoin (1%) and other PoS coins (10%+ interest). Most stable economies have higher inflation than 1% so assuming the coin's value keeps steady it makes more sense to put it in FIAT and earn traditional interest. With the dynamic scaling interest rate, you're likely to make 2-2.5% interest which is much more in line with mature economies. This part turned me off. Here's why: Coin devs need to understand that 20% APR is not attractive for a long term investment, when MINT can lose/gain over 100% in one day. We are NOT in real life. We are in Cryptoland. You don't expect the price of cookie to triple in one day (or even to goes up by 10%). Hence the low interest. In Cryptoland, rules are different. Coins using real-life interests for crypto miss the point. So, relaunch or clone with a higher stake, or just live your pump and dump life. You are clearly a huge fan of Monero. I have not followed it that closely, but, as a POW coin, it is CPU mined, right? What is to prevent it from being dumped by miners (or mined by bot farms) if the value ever goes up much? FLT and MYR are both very innovative, but no matter what they do, they face miners dumping on every "pump." POS coins with low interest maintain value better in the real world, and in cryptoland. I am sure XMR is great, but your advice on interest rates is really off the mark. The most successful POS coins have the lowest rates. Just look at the CMC and this is fact.
