1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 06:37:48 PM
It's a good one while it's still on the hot seat before the actual result come.

Anything that we can gamble on and with this, we're all waiting for the result so why not gamble with it?  Tongue

While everybody thinks that the chance of getting an approval is high, then the odds will be not that much for the yes(approval). But if you want to gamble and has the same belief that it will get a decline, get a no.

1642  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your purpose for celebrating your birthday? on: January 05, 2024, 06:04:12 PM
I don't celebrate my birthday but the time that I got married and I've got a kid already, I understand what's the essence and importance of it.

My kid likes to celebrate birthday and I was kind of forced to do it for the happiness. I have no complains but I see the happiness of a little kid within that and understood that we have to celebrate even the smallest things that we have in our lives.

Life is too short to not celebrate the additional year with our lives. But to me, whether I celebrate it or not, I'm totally good with it and had no problem at all.
1643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best decision you can take on: January 04, 2024, 11:50:42 PM
so what makes people to lose or run into loss in trading is for them not to understand the basics of trading
And they go quickly to trade because they think it is easy as what is told by the influencers.

That's where it is becoming wrong when they always watch all of those contents believing that everything on this market is so easy. But they don't realize that they're doing it wrongly for having that belief and dependence on them.

It's wrong to think that everyone can succeed in trading. I'd believe with investing but with trading, it doesn't fit everyone's patience.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: January 04, 2024, 11:19:16 PM
IMO, it won't be bigger or the same because this is how this universe works. If you try to do something different in the past then you won't have the result that you've got.

So, just be it and let it all happen when it's with the results but I agree that your friend you have paid you already.

This is why I don't lend my friends anymore, if they ask me little money, I wouldn't expect it to be back and I'll just tell them that pay it whenever they are comfortable.

Yeah, people regret not betting more when they win, and regret betting a lot when they lose.

At the end of the day it is just a random event, and you never know the outcome of it until you actually observe the result.
That's true.

It is spontaneous when something like this happens. So don't regret that you've won more if you have that money because you could have lost it more.

Much better that you've won and not dwelled into regardless of the situation that you have been in. And to all folks that likes to take loans without paying them on time, change for the better this 2024.
1645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bittrex withdraw not possible, aammount too low? on: January 04, 2024, 10:52:33 PM
So I have like 50 cents in assets and obviously cant withdraw.
Understand that most exchanges have minimum limit of withdrawal. But if this is on Bittrex, did you missed the announcement about their closure?

Just leave it there as the operations have stopped a month ago since it's just a few centavo and despite they have no deadline yet for withdrawal, don't bother so.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 04, 2024, 10:18:19 PM
While it is not yet approved, the chance is always there that it might get a decline. I'm okay whichever comes as the result.

But with all the SEC talks and meetings with different institutions, exchanges and the ones involved with the application. Does it makes sense to think that there's actually a positive progress?

That's what I think if I'll be basing on those movements.
1647  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 04, 2024, 09:42:51 PM
They don't take our funds, they will delay the withdrawal until we comply. But with the stories that their funds were taken, there's a reason behind that.
I hope you will never fall victim to a bad casino, maybe you would want to change your stand on this. It is true that most casinos would want to follow the right procedures and exonerate themselves from the AML crimes by asking for KYC at some point, but at times, some will merely want to use it as an excuse, a weapon for not paying your money, particularly when the money is big or you are just a good gambler. This is not new in the industry and I have read many stories which they do not deny since there were proofs. They do this to the extent that they ask for additional documents and verification from those who had satisfactorily passed the KYC beforehand.

To the extent that they will be asking for ridiculous documents, and might continue to reject the ones you had uploaded no matter how perfect the quality and the documents are. This is why the KYC of a thing is so devilish at times that casinos hide under it to penetrate some evil under the guise that they are obeying the law. But with the good casinos and the ones that have integrity, even if they are not regulated, you will hardly see such, or will eventually get resolved, especially when you threaten them with bad reviews and lawsuits.
Thanks for your worries but I don't think that I'll fall for one. That's my take on it if there goes the casinos that have asked those users to comply and they've seen some anomalies from those users.

There are moments that the accusers and the complainants are really at fault here but also, there are times that it's not justifiable that the casino freezes and delays their funds.

My take is just balance on it and with what I mostly see when they've been delayed, the casino isn't really trying to take their funds, they're asked to comply something and from there, they complain instead of complying it.
1648  Other / Off-topic / Re: Self Motivation on: January 04, 2024, 09:03:00 PM
Self-motivation is the force that keeps pushing us to go on – it's our internal drive to achieve, produce, develop, and keep moving forward. When you think you're ready to quit something, or you just don't know how to start, your self-motivation is what pushes you to go on.

But what IF WE LACK SELF MOTIVATION ?
What if we don't need self motivation and we just been dealt with the reality of life that if we don't move forward and we don't do something, we'll be stuck forever with this kind of life?

I know that motivations are really self esteeming and helpful but if you're in the tough situation and life, the reality of life is more than enough as a motivation to yourself.

But if you truly lean on a self motivation, you might find it with your passion.

Hey everyone here, don't miss the Epic games "A Plague Tale: Innocence". It's free there!!! Don't miss it and don't reason out that no one has told you.

Soon, I might just make my own thread about the free games giveaways whether it's from steam, epicgames or any other gaming and launcher platforms.
1650  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: January 03, 2024, 11:20:24 PM
Legally, they have got themselves covered and no one can do anything about it.
Yeah, it is what it is with the casinos. They can modify or be stricter with their rules and implementation.

But morally, this is very long. It is like trapping people. Taking their funds without asking for KYC and later when they want to withdraw , you want to ask for KYC. This is like some form of legal robbery and something must be done about this. You did the right thing by outing the platform here.
They don't take our funds, they will delay the withdrawal until we comply. But with the stories that their funds were taken, there's a reason behind that.
1651  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fustration on: January 03, 2024, 10:52:25 PM
I stop with what I do whenever I get frustrated. Why? Because it will stop me as well for being productive with the work or anything that I do.

That's how I deal with it and taking some deep breath and fresh air really helps and having a conversation with someone that you have the same interest also helps.

Drinking some fresh or cold drink do help as well while eating some fruits that have juices is also a good way to deal with it.

In short, anything that you are comfortable doing must be done for you to tackle against frustration. Don't dwell on it for too long because it is temporary.

Guys, we're all done with the vacations. Where are the esports fans here? Okay I'll start the year out for Dota 2.

Tundra Esports bids farewell to their current roster. How's that for you folks? IMO, that's expected and it won't work at all when they've built that current roster although it's got the potential but it's entirely different and hard to compare with their former roster.

1654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: January 03, 2024, 09:03:01 PM
Beginners always have difficulty controlling their emotions because they don't know the market well. Because they don't have enough experience. But if they don't give up and keep learning as they go. Then one day the beginner will become a pro trader and can teach other people. Because everyone definitely starts from beginners in everything.
Even the ones who are here for a longer time.

It's a feeling that's hard to control when you still don't know how to. But if you have gained experience, you already have the reminder to yourself that you must be careful with your actions.

Because if you don't do it properly, you know what the consequences will be and they're going to be large losses for you until you learn from those mistakes and losses.
1655  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: January 03, 2024, 02:11:53 PM
Success stories nowadays are also marketing techniques that can hype people with their products or what's on the sales pitch with these stories.

While I know like I have to be cheerful with these success stories and be happy with the people shared it.

There are moments that you just have to ignore it and just be happy about them. Because if you can understand the thought of these stories, there are many of them that don't inspire people but are there to brag on how they made it. Like they're proud of it on a different level.
Exactly , because most of those success stories are either having Company to mention or sites to
put links for that called the reason for their success as i kept reading those in social media nowadays , they are
mentioning names and companies and by then we can be a victim after believing.
Yeah.

That's how it goes and they're perfect to move the emotions of the potential customers and that's why they're using people's success stories to ask for their sympathy.

Not just for the person who's telling his story but also to the company that's involved with his success that we can imagine like it's a short term part of his life and all the deed done by that person who deserve the success.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15 year anniversary of Bitcoin Genesis block 3 Jan 2024 on: January 03, 2024, 11:28:42 AM
Happy 15th year anniversary. With that small beginning, it has changed a lot of lives. Can we imagine how all of these 15 years have changed everyone's life?

Whether you've been here a few years or long time ago, it is for sure that Bitcoin has a significant impact to our lives and it has changed a lot to us with how we look this life, finances, etc.

As in everything that all matters to us.

Thanks satoshi and all the OGs who contributed well to this project. Waiting for the ETF approval.
1657  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you invest safely? on: January 03, 2024, 09:54:52 AM
You don't hand out your money to invest to other people. It is you that should be doing all the research before you invest into some projects.

Why not invest into the old and common ones to avoid being problematic with how you're going to avoid being scammed? Most of the new projects are pump and dump and scams.

That's why if that's your basis in investing then you're not different from what you've described of handing your money to some guy.
1658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some tips to help protect yourself from crypto scam on: January 02, 2024, 11:54:36 PM
Many of the victims don't admit that they have never signed up a phishing link or visited a suspicious website and downloaded a file from there.

They don't know that these links are dangerous and when they have been scammed or hacked, they play ignorant that they're experts and never had done a thing.

That's why if you are giving them tips and they are in denial and don't see these helpful, they are the real problem. I don't blame them but I've encountered these type of victims that don't take full responsibility of their actions and that's why the bad happened.

1660  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It will save your capital more than you can imagine on: January 02, 2024, 10:53:06 PM
This is why I believe that we need to end up feeling like that is not going to be too easy, and should consider that as something that would be troublesome. I hope that people could understand that we are going to end up with a good return if we just leave our ego aside is true, that is why you need to consider every loss as your mistake and check it.
And from there, we need to understand that it's not just always mistake that we must make as a lesson.

Even with our wins, there are also the biggest lessons. We shouldn't also reason out these mistakes to keep it happening because it's not the goal of everyone.

We're here to make profit and definitely cutting losses is significant for one's growth and we won't just be losing forever.
