Lots of Chinese factories are producing tungsten filled gold bars in the past few years, they are just flooding the market with them. It's impossible to detect without destroying the bar, unless one is equipped with expensive ultrasound or conductivity testing device.
I would formulate it rather "it's easy to detect with basic ultrasound testing". Never heard of a conductivity testing method though. "Expensive" is somewhat relative, with the value of those chunks of metal ;-) Indeed an interesting twist! Ente |

Pirate tells us that everyone will get bitcoins back, with goat and bitcoinmax being the last, because they didn't provide the asked data. And with bitlane being the very last..
payb.tc, you refused to give that data because then those accounts might have been paid out directly, skipping you and the cut of it you deserve. You already asked for suggestions, how to clear the situation with you still receiving some part of the bitcoins.
How about you try to contact pirate, and find out if it would still help to send him the account data?
If we would get in the line, although the first deadline was passed, we have a startingpoint.
a) You send the account data, with x % substracted from every account, and all those % accumulated to one of your addresses
b) You ask for y % of bitcoins being paid by us now, held in escrow, and being re-calculated in case pirate doesn't pay fully
c) You ask for z % of bitcoins being paid by us now
with z < y < x
And no, I don't expect it to be easy to contact pirate.
And no, I don't expect to receive much, if anything at all.
This is just what I see as a point to get moving again.

There is a reason Matthew didn't accept deposits for the wager...and offered a non-monetary penalty for those who didn't pay...
I think he is teaching us a lesson in greed and stupidity...a lesson sorely needed in this community...it would make a great Bitcoin magazine article as a follow up to the article on the pirate scandal.

I had the website up earlier, now it seems to be down again. Going to recontact HostGator in a sec. Let this post also serve as a bump, for I'm currently seeking feedback for/on Watsi.com. If Matthew used a bet-chain where the lowest bet covered the next lowest bet in the chain as follows:
1000
2000
4000
8000
16000
32000
64000
128000
then by proving he had 1000 btc he would eventually be able win all bets (assuming all bettors paid up). He could start even lower if he didn't have 1000 btc.
I think these bets are a blatant attempt to use logic to earn money, something which rarely happens outside of sci fi movies and should not be condoned.
