die bitcoin-folge von the good wife hatte allein in den usa 9.5 mio zuschauer. wordpress.com hat ca. 56 mio user.
bitcoin fehlt es nicht an publicity, bitcoin fehlt es an der kritischen masse im anwendungsbereich. was in deutschland imho wirklich was rausreissen würde, wäre, wenn mehrere richtig große onlineshops in verschiedenen branchen bitcoin annehmen würden. also so vom kaliber mindfactory/hardwareversand/redcoon oder conrad/reichelt oder lebensmittel.de/gourmondo.
wenn das alles auch noch mit 3-5% rabatt ist gegenüber paypal/sofortüberweisung/etc. rennen uns die leute die bude ein.
ich habe aber das gefühl, die meisten deutschen shops laufen nach dem motto "never change a running system". die amis, so beknackt sie auch sind, sind halt eher bereit mal was neues zu wagen.

Hm, aktuell komme ich gerade gar nicht dazu, aber am Wochenende werde ich mich mal hinsetzten und einen Groben Draft erstellen, wie ich mir den vorstellen könnte. generelles Layout schwebt mir so ein Faltbarer Flyer vor:  Ausenseite: Irgendwas über neue Zahlmöglichkeiten, sowas wie "Virtual Cash" als Schlagwort, nicht unbedingt Bitcoin erwähnen. (Muss ich mir noch genauer überlegen) Dann innen 3 Kapitel auf den 3 Blättern: 1. Bitcoin generell - Was ist es wie funktioniert es 2. Bitcoins als Geschäft nutzen - Zahlungen akzeptieren, QR-Code, Bitcoin in € umwandeln - Tauschbörse, Direktumwandlung über Bitpay 3. Bitcoins implementieren - Kostenlos, Ohne finanzielles Risiko, Einfach Rückseite: Mein Angebot bei Rückfragen und Implementierung zu unterstützen, sowie eine Mail Adresse um mich zu kontaktieren. Wie gesagt, ich mache mir am Sonntag mal mehr Gedanken darüber (wobei, wenn ich erst mal so etwas im Kopf habe lässt es mich eh nicht mehr los  ) Sobald ich da was habe stelle ich eine frei veränderbare Version online. Könnte mir sogar vorstellen, wenn wir das als Crowd Event z.B. deutschlandweit gleichzeitig koordinieren, also z.B. in 100 Städten gleichzeitig über Nacht den Flyer einwerfen, könnten wir damit echte Medienaufmerksamkeit gewinnen. Klingt sehr gut! Ich glaube unserer (den meisten?) Communities fehlt es an Leuten, die ein solches Projekt in die Hand nehmen. Wenn du dich dransetzt und anfängst, bzw später dann zentrale Person bist, werden sich schnell Unterstützer finden. Dank der tollen Domain hab ich auf die Schnelle nix im Netz über die Jungs gefunden.. Zum Thema: Ich aknns mir nicht vorstellen. Nicht als Verbot, nicht so plötzlich. Italien: "Bargeldgeschäfte >1000€ verboten" Es wird Grenzen geben, Regulierungen, so Kram wie "Ab x Eur Identifikationspflicht, ab y Eur verboten". Aber Bargeld abschaffen..? Sicher hätte TV-[oder andere]-Werbung einen gewissen Effekt.
Die Frage ist aber eher, woran fehlt es?
- Nach recht großer Medienpräsenz haben die meisten Geeks, und viele "Zivile" schon von Bitcoin gehört
[- Software und Services sind ausbaufähig, aber akzeptabel]
- Wenn ein Neuling seine ersten drei bitcoins hat, und schaut, was er damit jetzt anfangen kann: Ebbe.
Also, meiner Meinung nach fehlt "echter" Nutzen im Alltag. Selbst wenn plötzlich hunderttausend Leute den Wiki-Artikel lesen und danach sogar die Blockchain laden und danach sogar irgendwie zu den drei bitcoins findet.. und dann? Dann wird sich nicht innerhalb von zwei Wochen eine funktionierende Bitcoinwirtschaft auftun. Und dann sind 80% der Wallets gelöscht und vergessen.
Und was passiert dann in zwei Jahren, beim zweiten TV-Spot? "Ah, ja, das hatte ich mal. Bringt nix."
Also:
Quatscht mit eurem Lieblingsbarkeeper. Schreibt Mails an Mindfactory. Erklärt es eurem Schwager, der Haare schneidet.
Wie ich bei Joe gelernt habe: Mund-zu-Mund-Propaganda! Bitcoin ist noch zu neu, zu ungewohnt, zu komplex und kompliziert, um in einen Zeitungsbericht oder gar einen Spot zu passen.

Ja! Genau!!1! Wie "verkauft" man den Kunden Bitcoin, wenn man Bitcoin im Laden akzeptiert? Indem auf jeder einzelnen Rechnung "Einfach mit Bitcoin per Handy bezahlen:" nebst QR steht! Womöglich sogar 1% Preisnachlass als Starter-Aktion! Schön, dass der mprinter wlan-fähig ist. Dann können auch mehrere Bedienungen auf einem Drucker drucken. Es scheint schon andere, ähnliche Thermodrucker mit Funk zu geben. Keine Ahnung ob die schon tauglich wären.. Joe, wie wird im Bitcoin Kiez die Rechnung gemacht? Papier&Stift, Old-school Kasse, Smartirgendwas? Haut alles nur hin, wenn es eine integrierte Lösung wird. Niemand benutzt zwei Geräte oder gar zwei Zettel für Rechnungen.. Ente |

I don't remember the link but somewhere there's a web site that will calculate the price movement that a large order would cause based on the existing order book. The widget on bitcoincharts almost does this (but there's a better version somewhere), and using this I got that you could spend almost $5 million by buying 120020 BTC on Mt Gox.

I thought I was tough. internet-wise.. But.. I couldn't finish it. I just couldn't! ts,dw: (too stupid, didn't watch) At least he can present his "ideas" half-way decently. I never saw the price that much glued like now.. cut off right at 11.8, no matter what! If it's a "natural" phenomenon, it would go down hard soon. Mixing that is only secure if the operator promises not to keep logs is worthless.
The anyone has the ability to connect inputs to outputs it's not safe to use, regardless of the good intentions of the operators. Even companies that don't want to keep logs can be coerced into doing it.
Unless and until there's some kind of cryptographic procedure that makes the mixing protocol secure against even a malicious operator I wouldn't recommend that anyone rely on a mixing service.
