17021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 01:07:05 PM
If he now buys those SCs cheap, and then undoes the "licence" and works for a price raise again, is that considered "insider trading" ? Wink

I'm not sure DoubleC is going to reopen the exchange after all that has transpired. I could be wrong though.
17022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 12:45:30 PM
wow, this "licence change" realy made the price drop, lol

What price? Which exchange? lol...
17023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin founder admits to deceptive intent in 'Bitcoin Crash' article. on: September 04, 2011, 12:44:58 PM
Wow. What a douche.

Well by his own admission he tried to weasel people to support solidcoin based on the "facts" presented in his article.

Now that light has been shown onto all of this and the fact that bad news seems to be an hourly thing for solidcoin, I would concur that solidcoin is going to die and die soon.

I don't trust its founder nor do I like his attitude towards users and critics.

He has taken the path of destruction, and it has arrived.

17024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] BITPARKING SOLIDCOIN EXCHANGE GONE on: September 04, 2011, 11:43:46 AM
Shouldn't be difficult to eat all the buy orders in solidcoin24 and moonco.in

I'm glad I don't own anymore solidcoins.

I guess trading them between each other could work but without an exchange that has been established with the alt-chains I'm not sure how viable holding solidcoins are or even mining them for that matter.

What's the point?
17025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] BITPARKING SOLIDCOIN EXCHANGE GONE on: September 04, 2011, 11:38:18 AM

17026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANNOUNCE] BITPARKING SOLIDCOIN EXCHANGE GONE on: September 04, 2011, 11:35:45 AM
scexchange.bitparking.com

DoubleC made this official just a few minutes ago. The bitparking solidcoin exchange has been discontinued. More information resides at the link above.

Solidcoin officially dead now?

17027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 11:21:09 AM
Nail in the coffin for solidcoin?

Sure looks like it.
17028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 10:43:15 AM
The license has been changed for a few reasons, so we can be updated in advance of the source being used in other projects and to advise others on precautions they need to take. SolidCoin has now fixed multiple vulnerabilities in the Bitcoin client and they need important consideration before being added to other chains. Furthermore to the bitcoin developers which suggest SolidCoin has done nothing it will require them to have a turn around in their public statements to date.

We are not necessarily going to restrict who can use the source code, however this change is mostly brought on by the developers and trolls of Bitcoin. If you don't like it, don't use the source code, simple really.

lol WOW

EDIT: This is coming from the guy who did not realize the implications of having a fixed transaction fee and having ArtForz exploit it to show you what a dumbfuck you really are. Then you go and release a "immediate" version capping transaction sizes to 4KB thus shutting down the exchanges. LOL
17029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 10:29:19 AM
Don't forget the new license text:

Quote
Copyright (c) 2011 SolidCoin Developers

All changes made by SolidCoin developers require express permission to be used
in other projects, including original the Bitcoin project.

Wow! So much for open-source huh? LOL...

May want to add Thomas Nasakioto to that list too.
17030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 10:27:52 AM
Uh, the vulnerability is due to your fixed transaction cost that you changed in your fork of Bitcoin. It's not in the original Bitcoin code. The original Bitcoin code had variable transaction fees which would cause a similar attack on Bitcoin to cost about 80 BTC in fees.

No that was fixed in 1.03 so you're referring to something different I've fixed here in 1.04. I won't mention it publicly because it may open an attack on Bitcoin.

And nice to label ArtForz a hacker. What exactly did he hack? He just showed you a vulnerability in SolidCoin that you introduced and refused to acknowledge until he proved it to you.

Yes he is a blackhat hacker who disrupted the computers, networks and investments of thousand of people around the world. He is also lying about communications he has had with me. But you wouldn't expect much else from a hacker.

Thousands of people huh? Of which like 10 people have 90% of all the coins?

Your comments are only made to maximize your position by making it seem that others are conspiring against you.

17031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 10:25:28 AM
So the idea is to blame problems on Bitcoin and downplay your incompetence, huh?

-Fixed small issue with calculating transaction size that made transactions appear bigger than they were from the clients perspective

So your untested fix in version 1.03 caused a huge problem for exchanges. Exchanges even had to stop withdrawal/deposits due to it. And you're just going to call it a "small issue"? If it's such a small issue, why are you in such a hurry to release a fix so soon. Are you sure you tested this release enough?

Honestly this guy has a bigger ego than his skills are worth. He basically downplays his incompetence and points out bitcoins "flaws" that really aren't flaws and he mislabels people as "hackers".

Even though I was impressed initially with solidcoin the mere fact that its founder is a douche and shows he has many bias comments and names and misconceptions I'm not one who wants to be a part of such a project. It is almost like he is positioning himself to have the most enemies in the community where he could benefit from the most by befriending those he "opposes".

Simply Put: This path he is on is one of destruction.

17032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SolidCoin 1.04 Released [Hardened Edition] on: September 04, 2011, 10:05:16 AM
Uh oh...what did he screw up now? lol

EDIT: Yup ArtForz "hacked" that one. LOL

17034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FAQ] RUXUM SOLIDCOIN TRADING....GONE! on: September 04, 2011, 06:29:45 AM
If we added demurrage to Solidcoin we wouldn't even have to charge fees. One flat fee that is pre-programmed & that sucks a tiny amount of lost/stored coins and injects them right into the mining population! This right here would mean mining forever (which is the best approach imho), and a constant psychological pressure to spend/invest your coins which Bitcoin simply does not have. I would be willing to send all my Solidcoins & Bitcoins to a system like that.

Actually what they are going on about here is the flat fee concept in general, you see Artforz decided it is ok to go off and Maliciously attack an alternate chain.  The discussion did come back to mostly decent ground on how this could be prevented without resorting to anti-business friendly variable transactions.  So no fee would actually be worse, demurrage is based on time and this attack was done very quickly.  Not saying demurrage isnt a good concept to have in an alternate chain to see a new economic model in play around here but the fixed fees did allow for this Mallicious attack.

agreed.
17035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [FAQ] RUXUM SOLIDCOIN TRADING....GONE! on: September 04, 2011, 12:55:29 AM
Deliberately hurting the private investments of thousands is not illegal?
LOL. By that logic everyone who sells their coins and causes the price to drop is doing so illegally.
There is a big difference between trying to "manipulate" the market by selling your coins, and sending thousands of miniature transactions from a node, simply with the intention to CAUSE HARM to EVERYONE.

Seriously if you can't play by or accept the free-market rules then go play another game like the FOREX or the stock market.

You crying about someone doing something malicious could be in fact righteous given the current circumstances of solidcoin not being a regulated market.

It's this total de-emphasis on mining that I think totally negates the possibility of my design catching on with this community, which is nothing more than a bunch of get-rich-quick maggots looking for a free ride.

I hope your paying attention to this Smoothie. He's talking to you boy  Grin
lol he is scared he will lose some money on his new "forK".
