17121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved. Improved to scam you? on: September 02, 2011, 12:02:36 AM

Lol really? Why would I be bitter with making 205 btc off solid coins? Your swearing shows me you are quite sour. Cry much? Haha lol

I've cashed out buddies. Not bad for 12 hours of mining. 30 BTC..........BAM!

EDIT: I mean 32 BTC.

32?  Or 205? So you're still mining Solidcoins?
Correctomundo!

If I recall, smoothie traded solidcoins and locked in a profit from buying them very low and selling at 0.03 or so.

Yea with that 32 btc I bought back on at 0.0055btc and did some trading to get to 205 btc. Lol I know making that much btc sucks huh. Lol
17123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] Ixcoin 0.3.24.2 SECOND mandatory update released on: September 01, 2011, 11:58:25 PM
I'm still seeing 115+ Ixcoin clients on Freenode's #ixcoin channel and only ~47 on LFNet #ixcoinxx channels, so I'm guessing they still haven't switched over. Once these switch over to the new client, the block count will increment more rapidly.

Nasakioto, it looks like ixCoin is finally "out in the wild". Why? The creator no longer has the ability to change the rules!  Cheesy
Some funny shit huh. Lol

Let's just see what happens if we all choose not to update our ixcoin clients. I'm not. I'm likely to mine for the shit of it on the old client for the forseeable future.

No offense...

i've downloaded it and started it on my computer just to annoy thomas :-P

Everyone who thinks ixcoin is a scam should do that, and mine on it.
Done
How much hash?
17127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 09:45:07 PM
It's not much, but the site's still in beta and has only been trading SC for a few hours.

Not impressed. Not convinced.

Yes, facts are fairly unconvincing.  Maybe next time I should try speculation.

Convinced as in convinced that those exchanges will be a game changer. lol

Speculation has brought me much profit. You should try it sometime.
17128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ARTICLE] Bitcoin To Collapse? on: September 01, 2011, 09:03:09 PM
Solidcoins have been there for about 10 days. In 10 days from now, the amount of solidcoins will have doubled.
In order to keep a constant price, the demand will need to be twice as high.

The demand for solidcoins comes from a fraction of Bitcoin users, that are convinced to buy solidcoins. We do not need to understand the exact causes that drive them to buy solidcoins ; it is sufficient to observe that in the absence of new compelling arguments, this fraction will probably remain constant.

The number of bitcoin users does not double in an interval of 10 days ; its growth is much slower. Therefore the demand for solicoins will not grow as fast as the supply. This leads to a predictable price decrease.

The above argument assumes that the value of solidcoins is linked to a real economy, and is not influenced by speculation.
However, since most of the value actually results from speculation, we can expect the price decrease to be strongly amplified.

+1 Very well written and constructed argument. AGREED! Grin
17129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCGuild - SolidCoin Fork of BTC Guild on: September 01, 2011, 09:00:35 PM
I'm done dealing with forkcoins until one of them can prove itself as having any practical use outside of screwing up the hash rates of the BTC network.

Cry more? lol Cheesy

Ask SAC he posted it.
Goddamn, what a cop-out.  You started this fucking thread.  Post hearsay, then shrug.  Real nice.
This message board needs to be renamed Law & Order: BTC because of all the redonkulous drama.

Cry more? lol  Cheesy

Did you even read what SAC posted ?
Its a Huge Pile of . No Evidence.

Yeah and did I say it was 100% true? Obviously you did not read what I posted. LOL
17131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I0 Guild - I0Coin Pool from BTC Guild on: September 01, 2011, 08:34:00 PM
Maybe show some good faith and honor your accounts with your users that mine i0coins? Or you can just be a jackass.

How, just take people' word for it that they mined 'X' I0C?

Dunno your genius self must have still had some of the user account data from your i0 mining pool or did you trash it?

LOL

Stop yelling fire, because even if there is a fire we'd rather just let it burn things!"

Yup, maybe, hopefully, it will burn you and your friends while you are here.

I would love to see some goons on fire!  Cheesy

It's called SELECTIVE-READING. You should try it.

LOL , you didnt care about it enough to withdraw it however now that its worth something you cry about it.

I didn't exactly get a notification it was going away. I do go on vacation for more than a day at a time occasionally. I'm not exactly crying, either, I'm just taking my business elsewhere. Why do you care so much that I am?

And they are i0coins what the hell, just mine some more somewhere else

The implications of what occurred with I0coin show the contempt the pool operator has for alternative currencies. What's to prevent him from doing this to Solidcoin if its popularity drops? How about Bitcoin itself if Solidcoin or another pool replaces it? Even 72 hours notice isn't probably enough. It would have been better to have done a week notification.

There is a big difference between a coin losing popularity, and a coin actually breaking which required unrelated developers to come in and fix it at a later time.  Solidcoin isn't going to suddenly stop working making it impossible to transfer money between wallets due to every node denying transactions from each other.

Maybe show some good faith and honor your accounts with your users that mine i0coins? Or you can just be a jackass.

So how then would one convince an investor to buy solidcoins at a 10x premium above i0coins if in fact they have the same algorithm? lol

How would you convince an investor to buy bitcoins at a 60x premium above solidcoins if in fact they have a worse algorithm? ^^

I dont have to. That's the point bitcoin has a much more established market share than solidcoin.

LOL Cheesy

EDIT: I guess all 13 Terahashes of people mining are IDIOTS because they are still mining BTC based on your comment right? LOL
I wouldn't cling on to statements like these.  Miners will go where ever they can earn more for their time. And a real fiat exchange for nmc and sLc at ruxum about to change the game...

Won't change the game if people don't exchange on it. I'm not talking about the 1541 volume lol. that's not volume.

17138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: September 01, 2011, 08:01:38 PM
My guess is the overall price of solidcoins for the next few weeks will be lower than it is currently.

At the moment there exists 693 BTC worth of bids on bitparking exchange and ixcoins has 251 BTC worth of bids and i0coins have 274 BTC worth of bids.

And this is at the same time when solidcoins are 6 times the price of ixcoins and 10 times the price of i0coins when the total market bids in BTC are about 3 times at most for solidcoins as to ix or i0.

Conclusion: Solidcoin price is overpriced and needs to deflate pushing price downwards in the near term.

Updated  Grin

PREVIOUS BTC ORDERS VALUE ON BITPARKING EXCHANGE
solidcoin - 693btc
ixcoin - 251 btc
i0coin 274 btc

CURRENT BTC ORDERS VALUE ON BITPARKING EXCHANGE
solidcoin - 556 btc
ixcoin - 227 btc
i0coin 248 btc

Ruxum started SC <>US and SC BTC today, some orders were moved.

yep

WOW volume 1541 that's definitely comparable to volume of like 60,000 solidcoins on bitparking exchange.

Perhaps. Coinhunter indicates he thinks 600+ btc was moved there. Seems like the market is at bitparking moreso than another exchange. But we will see. As I indicated earlier I predict in the next 3 or 4 weeks you will see solidcoin take a dive.
17140  Other / Off-topic / Re: A Call for Bruce Wagner to Respond to this thread. Are You Bold Funding? Y or N on: September 01, 2011, 07:48:57 PM
I wish people would stop making threads about Bruce.

I wish you'd realize that, as the man basically declared himself the Bitcoin Jesus and got the support of everyone here, this is a Big Deal

If he was the Bitcoin Jesus, the 25,000 bitcoins he lost would have returned in three days.

+1 LOL
