Actually, he was shot for being a violent criminal. What I found amusing was the spin put on it by some in the comments section: This man, who survived for 73 years, avoiding many of the mortal dangers and pitfalls that lay around every corner through life, believing that taking a risk was his decision to make, is taken down by the nanny state because he refused to accept they had arbitrarily assumed responsibility for his personal safety.
Apparently when the cops rolled up to his home, this long living former law abiding citizen pulled a gun on them, setting in motion a "death by cop" scenario, because that was the hill he decided to die on, fighting for his right to decide. What I see is the store owner protecting herself, her employees, and her customers by deciding to keep her private property safe from people refusing to wear masks. It has nothing to do with "the nanny state" and everything to do with private property rights. When someone trespasses and resorts to violence, it becomes a police matter. That's the only state intervention... law enforcement. Perhaps the commenter is a communist who thinks her store is public property and she has no right to decide what to do with it.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Another wee leg up I see... currently $11610USD/$15570CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Gotta love the slow steady steps up with little consolidations in between. Go Bitcoin go. It's also too bad that hundreds of thousands of George Floyd protesters around the globe spent about 1-1/2 to 2 months running around literally in each others faces *without* masks on, potentially (likely) infecting the rest of the population... and hardly anyone in the media said shit about it. The media down-played it and made excuses for it. Because, ya'know, political agendas and all. Shall we go ahead with incarcerating the hundreds of thousands protesters worldwide, or do they all get a pass? Why bring anti-brutality protesters into a discussion about masks? From what I saw, the percentage of protesters wearing masks was no lower than that of the general population. Politics has nothing to do with it, or at least it shouldn't. Mask wearing is a medical issue, not a political one. Why do some people try to turn everything into some right-wing versus left-wing partisan political debate?

How about the death sentence if there is sufficient proof that your failure and refusal to wear a mask had caused the death of someone else? Sound good?
A little extreme, perhaps. This isn't cold-blooded premeditated murder in the first degree. It's more a case of manslaughter or even as low as criminal negligence causing death. It is the result of stupidity, not malice. Ten or twenty years should suffice.

I cannot care less about what his opinion is on masks insofar as it's effect on whether or not I wear one. That is my choice and I own the consequences. On the other hand there is some theories solid proof that masks protect other more than the wearer. In this regard I believe locally based laws and regs are appropriate. And if you are breaking the law by not wearing one I think that too should be something one is ready to face the consequences of.
Masks are mostly about stopping the spread, not about protecting the wearer. It's too bad "laws and regs" are required to prevent reckless endangerment of others. Asymptomatic carriers who've been brainwashed by covid-denial/anti-mask propaganda don't suffer any consequences for the harm they're doing.

The reality is that many people successful or not don't like being told what to do regardless of the consequence. I don't think there is any new Kool-Aid involved wrt the mask. Sure, the science is out; the science is out on many things which we also ignore on a daily basis without any consideration. Speeding, smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, unprotected sex, going to the Moon/Mars and not wearing your seat belt... Some people are more inclined to take risks than others. I'm not going to condemn the man based on that one thing - it was his choice. Maybe his death will serve as the motivation for others who are on the fence about wearing a mask to put one on; especially those who are in the "more susceptible" categories.
It's not simply a matter of taking a risk. It's about endangering others.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still consolidating sideways... currently $11258USD/$15105CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Time to go up. Go Bitcoin go. _____ Just noticed this: https://bitcoindominance.com/Has this been mentioned here? Have I just not noticed it? Makes a lot of sense... omits all the bullshit pre-mined shitcoins, ICOs, etc. Barely includes Vitalikcoin, with an option to exclude it.

Best strategy: Don't sell unless absolutely necessary.
Buy whenever possible and hold.
Resist the temptation to waste your bitcoins by buying fiat currencies just because the price went up. Be strong.
Do not deviate.
More like: Don't sell. Period. Whats that? Your brother needs an operation? Not as much as I need 100k per Bitcoin. GTFO of my Lambo dreams. What I meant was: don't sell unnecessarily for mere fiat "money". Buying medical services or retirement homes (or fine foods or beverages... maybe even hookers, Lambos, and blow, depending on your tastes) is Bitcoin well spent, as is discharging all debt. Selling bitcoins to bank dollars (or euros or pesos, etc.) is just plain stupid, although many people do it. Keep your profits in Bitcoin.

Good morning Bitcoinland. Still consolidating around $11k after this week's jump up to 5 digits... currently $10986USD/$14747CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Almost time to start moving up again. Go Bitcoin go. *Develop a strategy now and do not deviate*

Good morning Bitcoinland. I see we're not only still in 5 digits but less than a couple hundred bucks from an AYH... currently $10383UDS$13900CAD (Bitcoinaverage). C'mon Bitcoin. I wanna see some trains, rockets and violins. Go Bitcoin go. ...and you can compare btc to other coins too... There are other coins?

Up we go.
I saw a temporary price of $10,340 in the past 30 minutes, which would be the highest price that we have seen since May 31.. of $10,429 - and that May 31 price was merely a blip... So, surely looking for both pushing up above $10,500, hopefully being able to stay above that price or at least stay in 5 digits for a while, and maybe even better if we never see 4 digits again, but maybe I am saying too much? wouldn't be the first time. We're only a few hundred dollars away from a new AYH. A few hundred more after that and maybe we can say goodbye to 4 digits for good.

Don't tell me it's the first time you discovered this. A freedom project? You're kidding. Around here, we tend to speak about the "EUSSR". A good rule of thumb is: If they can do it they will.
