I've actually done some futures bets for parlays and have won a decent amount of them.  I'm not as tough as you are with the amount for the bet or legs but there is massive value in futures bets.  Right now aaron judge hrs o/u 45.5.  In New York he is a lock for 40+ each year, dodgers 95.5 wins.  So long as they don't suffer serious injuries they should easily pass this, some others out there.  Problem is the wait.  If you can be patient there are good odds on futures.  Congrats to you on your hits, those are phenomenal.

It's one of those questions no one can answer right now.  Before the last bullrun ended it seemed like there was a lot of steam going into metaverse coins and projects.  Next bull run there will be certain fads that skyrocket, will that be metaverse coins?  Who knows but if it is that certain niche that explodes sand stands to be one of the frontrunners.  Buy/hold and walk away let the chips fall where they may.  Good luck to you.

Last night was 2-1-1 pushed the Utah game.  Crazy finish on that one in ot.

Tonight I got 4 more games:

Knicks -2 on the road at the Wizards.  Only thing that scares me off this one is Beal I think he is playing.

Timberwolves -6.5 at home.  Think they make a hard push this last portion of the season.

Bucks -1.  This should be a tight game, gimme the home team here.

And same thing for my fourth.  Atlanta at home even odds.  This shoukd be tight gimme the home team here too.

Good luck tonight everyone!

3-1 last night not bad, 2 winning nights in a row, let's go for the triple.  Tonight I got 3 games I'm checking out:

Knicks -3.5 at home, on a good roll they keep it going here with a win in the garden

Memphis -2.5, tough game but at home 1st and 2nd place team I think the Grizzlies take this personal and go all out.  Gimme the home team Grizzlies here

And last Philly +1.5 at home vs Celtics.  Another great game gimme the home team and Philly here.

Good luck to everyone tonight!

I know as a knick fan I probably look at the team a little skewd.  But I feel like they can make a push in the playoffs.  They own the second best record on the road in the entire nba.  They can sneak a game or 2 on the road (if they make it) and could possibly win a series.  They would need to avoid the 7/8 slot as that will probably end up matched against the Bucks or Celtics.

They play the Celtics at home Monday night a good team check to see how they match up.  They are sitting with 3 first round picks this year as well.  Future finally is looking up for the Knicks I think.

Thoughts?  Or am I just being a Homer fan
1745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 05:17:44 PM
What did we just saw just a few minutes ago?
We just watched a game for the ages. Cheesy I mean the league now is focusing more on offense, but in my whole time watching NBA games, it's my first time to see both teams having that high score.

To add to your trivia that you said, this is the first time the Clippers had a double overtime since February 13, 2020. I want the game to go to triple overtime since the Clippers don't have a game where it went to a triple overtime, but as I watch the players, I can feel the fatigue to all of them both physical and mental.

Westbrook got fouled out, but he got 14 assists on that game. That 14 assists is tied for the record for most assists in their debut game with the Clippers. I have nothing to say, but that game is a game for the ages. We will see a game like that after years again.

Yeah, that was one of the most epic games in a while. It's impressive how well the Kings are performing this season since even Leonard's 44 points and George's 34 points weren't enough to beat them. As for Westbrook, it looks like he's a good fit for the Clippers since he had a double-double in his debut game. However, there's a little nuance, Westbrook also made another 7 turnovers. Grin

Yeah those turnovers at least if it leads to easy buckets will be an issue he needs to tighten them up.  But after watching him on the Clippers and the Lakers this definitely is a better natural fit for him.  Think russ is gonna be a good addition to the team.  With AD and Lebron the Lakers didn't need another alpha type attitude, they needed good role and bench players.  I think both teams got better post russ leaving and coming.

Prosecutors seized just under $50 million belonging to FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) held in Farmington State Bank on Jan. 4, according to a Yahoo Finance (YF) report on Jan. 24.

So, Mister "I have only $100k" got just another $50M seized by procecutors from a small bank.

Now what i am wondering is that is this the last nail for SBH's credibility as he just clearly lied about not having money. Or will there be more to come?
There's still money missing, so where is it? And how wasn't injecting $50 million to small bank suspicious and biggest red flag to regulators? Or were they paid off to look another way?
I am starting to have hard time to have any sympathy left for SBF

Of course he did.  No way does someone like that not have a stash of digital laying around that is hidden for some time.  Wouldn't be surprised if that was sitting theor for them to find so that they don't find the real stash lol.  Dude is so sloppy and shady.  Goes to show don't use exchanges like a wallet.  No one will listen though, people continued to stack sats on online wallets or exchanges lol.  Too funny.

Are you inferring that Chris Paul is the issue on the Suns in the past?  Dude is arguably the best pure point guard in the league still.  One of the smartest basketball players I've seen in a long time.  If the Suns get dropped it's not going to be because of theor point guard play.
Well, commenting on this post too...
CP3 in the past was an excellent player, worthy of being an allstar, but he has been getting older, he is 37 years old.
One thing I would like to comment on is his health/genetic, he is already a player prone to injuries, I believe that is his biggest negative point.

On the other hand, CP3 is a very experienced player, I have no doubt that he can guide the team to the victory (both, regular season and playoffs).

It would be insane for the Suns to win this NBA season.
CP3 would receive his first ring and will also bring the Suns their first championship title.

I'll be curious to see how the team performs with Durant joining the Suns!

Yep understood but anyone who knows ball knows he isn't or never was dictated by his athleticism.  High flyers and crashing guard type players end up useless towards the end of theor career.  He plays a very calm point and would actually argue he has gotten better with age.  Maybe not on the steal side but setting up his team etc I would pick him over most every other pg in the league right now IF I'm looking for someone running a team.  And that's what's needed when you have Durant, book, a good big etc.  Someone to set them up you don't need 5 scorers on the floor at once.

Two of the biggest tips I can ever think of is never chase your losses, that's what ends up bankrupting people most of the time.  And then the second is know when to get up and walk away.  Whether you are up, even or down the ability to walk away is rare when someone is addicted to gambling and if you can't do that you need to get help.

1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 08:45:26 PM
Plenty of reports that are saying we won’t see Durant on the floor for the Suns until at least Sunday, with a debut next Wednesday even a possibility. I want to see them in action, but with Booker just back in the lineup I can understand why they want to take it slow. I’m glad I’ll be able to see Durant play a lot more. Maybe even in person.

Yes, I also checked it out and indeed, Kevin Durant is reportedly set to make make Suns debut on March 1.. Fans are waiting patiently what would be the outcome of Durant's trade to the Valley of Suns and fortunately, we already have a date about it as he will likely make his debut on the road versus Charlotte Hornets.

Currently, the Suns is on the 5th seed of the West and just a game away from the 4th seed which is occupied by the LA Clippers. The next couple of weeks will be fun as the West is starting to get tighter because of the recent trade.

It's gonna be a wild wild west again this time. Everyone for sure have eyes on the Western conference. The Suns may never make a huge impact on Durant acquisition for the remainder of the season, but come playoffs, they will definitely be one of the hardest if not the hardest team to beat in the West.
Imo, they are not just really strong on papers, but they could make it work this time, most probably.

I do agree that the Suns chances to get themselves a spot in the playoffs has increased because of their recent acquisition of Durant and the same goes for their chances not to get choked in the 1st round of eliminations. We all know that Kevin Durant is a playmaker and in every team he lands on, it's expected that it will be a great team granting that he is now included in the equation. So hopefully, Kevin Durant will not get drag with CP3's problem as he tend be inconsistent once they get a series games.

Are you inferring that Chris Paul is the issue on the Suns in the past?  Dude is arguably the best pure point guard in the league still.  One of the smartest basketball players I've seen in a long time.  If the Suns get dropped it's not going to be because of theor point guard play.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: February 23, 2023, 06:43:43 PM
It does seem like MATIC (Polygon Network) has the right partnerships to be a powerhouse in the next bull run.  They seem well positioned to be the chain of the metaverse and the affordable option for large companies to use to issue their NFTs.  I don't see any reason why MATIC won't continue to rise in value.  If BTC sees a x10 from here, I could easily see MATIC hitting $20, or maybe even $50 in the next bull run.  I think I would be a bit surprised if it didn't at least test it's previous all time high.  The only thing bearish about this coin is that it's already seen an incredible rise in value.

There's strong adoption for MATIC, so it should only be a matter of time before market prices skyrocket like crazy. People often overlook Polygon because they're foused on Solana and Ethereum. But they will eventually switch to Polygon, after it continues to be embraced by renowned companies in the mainstream world. $20 per coin is nothing if BTC continues to drive the crypto market all the way to the moon. MATIC is trading below $1, so why not buy more coins to stock them up for the future? Imagine if developers decide to burn MATIC tokens in the long run. It's price will increase to levels beyond compare.

Sounds crazy, but anything's possible in crypto land. If Solana went to $200, then Polygon could easily go to $20. Who knows what the future holds for the cryptocurrency? Just my opinion Smiley

I agree with your stement above but matic is now trading at link $1.40 hasn't been under a buck for awhile.  Still a great price to buy in though.  We are at or near the bottom amd the future outlook for matic is good.  Price will inevitably rise once a new bull market is established.  I don't think it's if I just think the wlquestion is when.
1752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🐞 Why Dogecoin still Not hit $1, and how? 🕸 on: February 23, 2023, 06:41:18 PM
When i open my twitter, there are tons of new feed on doge. Many people is promoting and posting. however, the price of doge is under $1. i think the main reason is that most of them did not even understand the definition of Currency and the Most basic function of a currency:
1.store value
2.medium of exchange.

BTC is capped @ 20million. thus BTC can serve as a medium to store value🔥, while Doge with a inflation rate each year. the bigger quantity is suitable for daily transaction and daily use⚡. currently, the basic fee is only 0.01 doge/kb, the speed improved very much. but the price still near $0.1 recently. not even mention those $1, $8 claims. just a dream.

To make doge break $1 or $8. the only way is to promote it to be adopted by stores worldwide. Just use it!. this is the only intrinsic value of doge. tipping is a past as every doge make sense.

if you have chance go to China. you will be surprised that everyone use Alipay/Wechat to pay everything. buy food, car, apartment etc. about 10 years ago, 90%😲 of Chinese mainly use bank card, POS to pay big and cash for daily life. now, 95%+👀 Chinese people only take a phone to do everything. this is adoption.

If i was the owner of the top 1 holder with about 30 billion doge. I would spend/spread 5-10 billion doge to promote it worldwide for adoption. it is easy to make 100x return and the price of doge will be more stable. This is the only way to make doge valuable. otherwise, it has no other competitive advantages. then your 30 billion only is a number and hard for you to cash out at a Good price.

IF doge wanna break $1 or $10, the wide adoption is the only way. posting on twitter is foolish.

without wide adoption, it will never hit $8, even hard for $1 in a short time. it is only a picture.

if you doge wanna break $1 or hit $10 in reasonable time
then do,
Quote
1. To promote doge to be adopted worldwide > posting twitter
2. The big boss need take action to promote (donate Big to charity, college, contest, etc) if not, many other tokens will dillute the market making your ~30billion doge @ lower value😨.
different ideas welcomed 😉

Top holders aren't going to just donate it out, those people will only tend to sell off it anyway lowering the price.  It isn't going up because anyone who was dumb enough to buy and hold doge has done so already, smart folks already got rid of it.  Demand can never outpace endless supply so inevitably it will continue to go down in value over the long term just like fiat.

Before many fans hope that Westbrook addition can make Lakers a title contender but unfortunately it not ended up well since he's performance totally decline there. That's why many doubt because many fans that he will became a liability of Clippers the same on what happen to him on Lakers. But if Westbrook proves that he's still the Mr. tripple double machine and can get back on that shape or maybe a little bit closer maybe his status on clippers will became different.

Westbrook's stats have dropped a lot since he signed a contract with the Lakers. Let me remind you that he made 10 triple-doubles in 78 games played last regular season, and this season the trend is even worse as he only made 4 triple-doubles in 52 games played. So he's no longer Mr. Triple-Double, and I don't expect him to be able to get back to the playing shape he was in during the 16/17th season.

Agreed he isn't and a lot of that will have to do with time.  He isn't going to get 35 minutes of run on the Clippers.  They don't need him to be Mr triple double.  Just someone who can come off the bench with a ton of experience to guide some of the younger guys during the playoffs.  Playoffs is a way different game then regular season.  This move is purely a playoff push move.  Who knows what he brings with a different (I know same arena) location and group of guys to run with.

Hopefully the tail end of the betting year will be better than the first half let's kick it up with 4 games today:

Pelicans + 6 on the road in Toronto.
Lakers -6 home against gs.  With Wiggins and steph out I like Lakers chance here
Jazz -1 at home against okc.  Basically a pick em and like the home squad here
Magic -7 at home against Detroit.  Orlando is have a sneaky decent year.  Thinks they feast on Detroit.

Good luck everyone!

Fucking Brits.  It's called football, we won a fucking war so we can call it that!

San Francisco Sixty-Niners...  I don't hate that.

I love sending my British friends I've met on the forum memes on the 4th of July, normally stuff about how their tea is shit and what not lol.  I love that, San Francisco Sixty-Niners...much better name if you ask me.

In regards to the XFL and some of the differences between how they play it and the NFL, I agree they are doing some pretty cool/fun things.  The XFL will actually be sort of a test market for the NFL in this way.

Looking forward to watching some of the games this wknd.

I watched some of the games last weekend and I just can't get I to it.  It's good football but I have never been able to get into any of these xfl, arena league, usfl, etc type leagues.  I think the tie to the teams I watch when i was a kid has rooted what leagues I can and can't watch.  Hockey is a great sport to watch but I didn't watch it when I was a kid so I have no ties to it amd can't get into anything more than a game before I lose interest.
1756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 20, 2023, 07:52:42 PM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
i Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?

Does anyone really just buy a coin because it's listed on coinmarketcap?  That seems a little lazy, and at the very least a little too trusting thinking they would completely vet a project good enough for people to blindly put their money into it.  Use it as a tool but not a determination of what to buy and not buy and then it doesn't matter what they do.  They are a for profit website they aren't looking out for people's wallets.
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: February 20, 2023, 07:45:41 PM
I guess bitcoin is suffering price depreciation because of most renowned countries like China, US and Africa demoting it values with their economy influence. Most of this nations shares on bitcoin are on high pedal, since they withdrew from investing their state capital and refused to support the existence of bitcoin, the price has not seen a better chance of pumping soon.

In future, it might be different but what if this nations keep strong kicking against bitcoin without reprojected their economy resources, will bitcoin survive for a long time?

What do you is the future of bitcoin at this point?
Do nations or people have power over bitcoin price regulations?
What is your speculation if bitcoin keeps revaluing in price?
Do you see a good outlook soon?
Let's argue your points.

This has been going on for the entire lifespan of bitcoin so far.  Whether or not a particular country "bans" it will only have a short term negative effect.  Ultimately bitcoin and crypto as a whole are so successful at this point that if a country does not hop on they will be left behind.  I think it's already to late for any of these countries to completely let go and risk being behind the technological curve.  Stay on or get off we leaving the station with or without you!!
1758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: February 20, 2023, 07:42:59 PM
Since we all know that dogecoin is getting backed by Elon Musk and people also want him to accept payment in dogecoin for his Tesla cars. And since his single tweet can give a boost to the price of dogecoin, what do you think?

Does Elon really take doge to the moon?

The majority of people are believing that Elon will do something and Dogecoin will hit $1 by this year. What do you think guys? Will tesla accept dogecoin as a payment? And the chances are high that other merchants do accept dogecoin as a payment.

Share your thoughts.

When a coins price depends on the tweets from one egomaniac how do you think this will all end.  There is no way a coin can survive knowing that its hinged on literally one person supporting it.  Memes were a fad and people are holding onto the hope of it hitting again, most are just bagholding and not adding to theor bag though.  That with the never ending supply of 10k new coins every minute are a recipe for disaster.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 20, 2023, 07:40:46 PM
For me it was the worst NBA all star game in the last 5 years... . Awful game , no defense , pure offensive , circus basketball and full of big of players with big ego... . If this is what new fans love to watch in the all star game , then I will simply not watch it anymore because I doubt the real fans of NBA enjoyed last night game , right ?

Agreed it was a ball hog fest and 3 point practice for most of the game.  As a huge basketball fan this is one of the first years I didn't enjoy the game, little to no real basketball being played here.  Wish there was another way to incetavize the players.  And as far as betting goes, I don't know how anyone would bet on o.e team vs the other it was literally 50/50 chance either way.  Bang the over and call it a day.  350 total points lol, crazy.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 20, 2023, 07:37:49 PM
It was the most boring All-Star we've seen in years. I don't like this format at all and I don't enjoy it at all. A game in which everyone who gets the ball tries a 3-pointer or goes into an layup is never fun. No defense, no struggle, no basketball. There are only long-range shots. I don't understand how they manage to make a worse All-Star with each passing year

Agreed.  In years past at least some of the game defense was played.  I get it that no one wants to get hurt but just watching everyone ball hog and chuck up 3s is a little boring.  Give me the 1980s and 90s all star games any day over these.  Taytum scoring 55 is embarrassing for the other team.  I like the east vs west and the winner gets home floor for the finals.  At least gives these guys something to play for.
