1766  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's happening! --- 3̶6̶0̶$̶ 403$ on: November 12, 2014, 04:35:31 PM
I am skeptical.

It's sensible to buy in now or $390-400, that's cheap??

Yes
There is a lot of people now who wish they bought at 0.01,1,5,10,50,100, 200usd etc but there is little chance of ever being there again

After xmas they will say that about 400

LOL this dude was a scammer on this forum if I'm correct Smiley

1% compounding daily interest. Was great for those who got in early and got out before it collapsed  Cheesy

Pity the first post has been edited because it gave the full details of the scheme
I believe that the forum keeps records of edits to posts so if necessary the forum can provide this evidence in the event the case ever goes to trial

Why wouldn't it go to trial now?

1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Moolah Scam on Mintpal - MintpalJustice.com - Report Missing Funds on: November 12, 2014, 01:11:59 PM
The pirate btcst was "bigger"  if you count amounts of money defrauded from everyone but coins were not worth a lot back then so it didn't create as much attention as it should have

I think mintpal will be in the top 10 btc scams but not ranked at #2

Bfl or sr2 probably also stolen more

Fair enough. Moolah/Mintpal Top 5 of all time? Let's count it as "amount in USD at time of theft".

Someone should make a Top 10 list. Seriously. Then crypto users can have an idea of risks involved based on actual thefts/ scams/ etc.

Ironically all the time I was worried about MCXNow but it looks like Mintpal blew up first.

A list..... Smiley

We're gonna see BTC above 1000 USD within 3-6 months. And this is a conservative estimate.

When the etf gets launched it could spike over  10,000 and stay there

I wouldn't bet against  10k bitcoins but probably not until thy next halfing of the block Reward...
1776  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's happening! --- 3̶6̶0̶$̶ 378$ on: November 12, 2014, 11:33:00 AM
people are so blind they can't see a giant bull trap in front of them

You probably don't see what others see Smiley

Ok, maybe not a bulltrap but what if will top out at 400-420 and stay in that area for a few months again?

Or maybe it goes balls deep until 1500 and never falls below 1000usd again
You could be watching it slip through your fingers, the kind of opportunity that is literally once or twice in a lifetime IF your lucky.....
1777  Economy / Goods / Re: High limit Plastic VISA card 15000PLN ATM daily wihtdraw limit with unique IBAN on: November 12, 2014, 11:29:19 AM
If I understood correctly what you wrote in the first post on a first page, you are offering anonymous no ID high limit bussines visa card. If this is true, then you don't need any documents from buyers?
Who has control over the card, what is a yearly load of the card and what is the maximum amount per single load transaction?

Regards

You need to talk to the issuing  bank or visa themselves to find out what terms and conditions the card can be used under

What's the expiry date on the card?  What if they decide to freeze them someday?  Ie: if my visa card gets Frozen now for a suspicious charge I have to contact the bank and verify my id and security info over the phone etc

Or if my card gets stuck in an atm I have to go in to bank with id to get a new one or wait at home a few days and they could post it to me

None of this is possible with a btc visa card

Unfortunately you won't be getting one right now. This isn't something that is going to be broadcast everywhere as we are so used to on the internet. This is the real world and while there are people who are pushing for some things to be released, not all can be.

The other reason you won't have heard much is that it's generally a bad idea to let your opponent know your game plan before you face them.

Exactly, until there is evidence that criminal charges have been laid, our focus should be laying criminal charges.

And if this is "not going to be broadcast", how would we then assume that the "authorities" are doing anything?

I understand that we should be patient and not fly off the handle, but let us consider the gravity of the situation. For example poster above, RM 900,000 if indeed he lost is USD 300,000.

While Ryan (allegedly) stole $1 million USD remember that the amount of funds now "frozen" in Mintpal amount to the millions of USD. From what I read Mintpal would like to release the remaining (not stolen by Ryan) coins but Ryan appears to have screwed up the database or blocked access as well (where backups I wonder).

So yes, let's stay calm but focused due to the gravity of the situation.

Apart from Mt Gox this is the no. 2 MASSIVE scam in cryptocurrency.

This is a very serious situation. If the "authorities" cannot resolve it then it cements my belief that big government, big banks and traditional fiat systems have no place, and can offer no help, in the cryptocurrency world.

Depending on the capitalisation of Mintpal, there could be tens of millions of dollars of coins locked up in there, aka, stolen.

If you were Bill Gates or Sir Branson, how much money would you get in BTC?

I'd probably send $40 million over to Bitstamp  Cool

That'll get you around 111,100BTC at today's rate

Don't know about Gatesy but think Brando already picked up and currently bagholding  Grin

Bill Gates is already at the stage where he doesnt give a fuck about money (as in getting more of it)  so I doubt he's going to be here watching to see the highs and lows but he's said favourable things about the tech model and sir Richard Branson as a billionaire  doesn't need the money either but he is happily accepting them for his  space tour flights   and probably even hodling them since he would have no need to cash out into fiat anytime soon  lol

that's an interesting discussion but did you know that this year alone there were more new billionaires than ever before?

I'd bet the first thought of many new billionaires is: "now I must make sure to remain billionaire" which means they are going to buy some bitcoins and that's a cold hard proven theory!

Branson is worth around 5 billion I think but he owns a lot of stuff that generates revenue every year

I was very happily surprised to see him getting into Bitcoin in its relative infancy but he obviously sees the potential in it

He's right more often than he's wrong and he didn't get 5 billion by being dumb

Branson does not care about Bitcoin or believe in it at all. They immediately swap Bitcoin into fiat at Virgin. They do accept Bitcoin because that would allow their customers to pay without audit and its a publicity stunt.
Branson did not make his billions investing in speculative stuff. He has a freakin spaceship and there is nothing speculative about that kind of business.

How do you know Branson is not holding any btc?  Are you his accountant or something

He could be hodling or playing the  markets or a dozen other random scenarios

I wonder why some people hang out on a Bitcoin forum all day telling other people Bitcoin will not make them as much or none profit as they think lol

Don't they have anything better to do than hang around and tell people about the incoming doom?

Or they are just people with no btc who would like to buy some at a lower price Smiley
