1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government vs Bitcoin on: September 04, 2023, 07:06:17 PM
Although occasionally the bitcoin regulations appear unreasonable, I posit that bitcoin is not as detrimental as suggested. Please correct me if I am wrong.
How it can be unreasonable if the government that has banned it as their own reasons? Whether we want to be against those governments that has banned bitcoin, there is nothing we can do with that.

The only thing is to wait for them to change and alter their decision into making it useful on their end. That's the start of it, they don't see the use and benefit of it and that's the reason why they're having regulations and worst, goes into a ban.

We think that they're wrong in all forms because we're pro and investors of bitcoin. But looking at their perspective, they think that they're right and we're wrong.

Yes, you're right. Today is Sunday so your posts are still counted for this week until this day ends forum time which is the same as UTC as per rules.
Not to stray off-topic but you're not in this campaign and yet you found my question....how?

I swear, sometimes I feel like people are following me around in masks, peeping around corners and such on this forum.
I was just browsing and saw no one has not yet answered you so I came by. Apologies if I come out of nowhere and for derailing the thread.
1783  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] [banned mixer] - Premium Mixing | Sig Campaign | Up to $210/W on: September 03, 2023, 04:43:46 AM
Looking at the calendar Sunday is on September 3, So the new week will start on Monday 4 at 00:00+ !
All right, so to be crystal clear: we're still in week 17 as I write this, correct?  I know it sounds like I'm a stupid noob, but the part of my brain that tries to deal with any time format other than EST acts like a stupid noob 24/7.  Can somebody just verify that for a poor old pharmacist chymist?
Yes, you're right. Today is Sunday so your posts are still counted for this week until this day ends forum time which is the same as UTC as per rules.

1784  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 02, 2023, 11:41:38 AM
It's not about logging out all the sessions on your device but it's about how did the hacker taken your login details. And from there, it's basically you have done something like fallen for a fake website that's just the same as stake or a promo where the offer is gullible and asked for your login details.

This is sad in all forms and you've lost money from there. Can't even blame you because you're the victim on this one and these hackers will do every social reengineering for their specific targets like you.

Sad world we live in.
But hope karma works in both ways.

Thanks for responses all.
Sad indeed but I wish your recovery from this incident.
1785  Economy / Economics / Re: Real estate vs cryptocurrencies vs business on: August 31, 2023, 11:47:02 PM
If I had to put them in order I would say my first choice is business first, cryptocurrency second, and real estate third. because I see real estate as more than just an investment, real estate is just a place to park money to protect and grow. Business is where you make money, so I want business to be the first choice so that the next two points can run smoothly.
You make more money depending on what you're focusing with. It's true that owning a business is where you make money, active money. Whilst for real estate, it is an asset that generates you passive income from renting your property and at the same time the appreciation of its value.

But if you have a good idea and can manage your business, you can just go here and there and manage both of them since owning real estate doesn't really need a lot of time unless you're going to have a full renovation. Then, after that you only need to check your tenants after.

Renting can also be considered as the business that you can have and that's what I like with real estate.

I don't want to make cyrptocurrency my first choice because the market is very unstable and we can't know whether the market will be bearish or bullish. Sometimes we can forget about predictions and start making good profits because future valuation is just speculation and guesswork. When the report is bullish, take some to sell, when the news becomes bearish, start buying. “Keep it simple, and keep it simple” that correction is the best thing to make it an opportunity.
True, it is volatile and if you're going to make trading as your first priority. You're not even forced to do that and can check your trades a few times when you have to.
1786  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just Learnt About A Major Risk Involved In Stable Coins on: August 28, 2023, 04:37:09 PM
This forum is really helpful I must confess. I never knew about Pegging and Depegging. But after my previous post on whether to save in stable coins or my local currency, I got to know that even stable coins have their own risks involved, in which Depegging is one of the major risks
Glad that you've learned and appreciated everyone's help from the thread you've made. It's true that there's pegging and depegging. Talking about depegging, there have been series of stable coins that have already been depegged. Most of them that have permanently depegged were not even that popular but you get the idea that it's possible.

Whilst for some popular ones, you can see that they're not exactly the value of fiat that they're pegged with especially with USD.

A little bit of discrepancy like a few cents and that's already giving you the view of it.

I'm very happy I asked the question and other users really responded very well. All the responses were really helpful. I think other newbies like myself learned a lot from the replies.
You'll learn more and it's not just the newbies that keeps on learning, even us.  Grin

There could be things that you know but we don't know and vice versa, enjoy your stay and learn more.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do star players affect the odds of a match bet? on: August 26, 2023, 10:37:26 PM
It affect the game so it will affect the odds as much as it's reported early. In Dota 2, when there's a player that's being replaced by a stand-in, the great performance of that team and synchronization is changing.

That's why it is a factor that many are considering in terms of betting. The odds change but mostly, the way they play will entirely different because the chemistry has changed.

Not talking against those players that usually stand-in because they're there in time of great help by that team who's lack by one player in their main roster. But that's it, that changes a lot including the odds.
1788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A must read if you are running Crypto wallet on PC on: August 25, 2023, 09:03:39 PM
Updates are truly important.

But I didn't know that for such software like winrar/winzip, they're going to be like this. Well, threat actors are really going to find anything threatening to make themselves a favor by penetrating to the users that are not careful enough.

It is for the entirety of being a PC user, everything that we're using should be updated to the latest version and that's the reason why updates are coming. It's because of the vulnerability that has been detected by the software itself so, developers create a better version to make it more secured.
1789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A weird belief among some gamblers. on: August 24, 2023, 10:00:47 PM
it's just a coincidence, if they are asked to repeat the same thing then the guess is not necessarily correct. I think they are also pretty good at guessing and have confidence that their guess is right, well it could happen but it also might not happen. the presentation remains the same will be 50:50.
I am also thinking that it's just a coincidence or just a personal belief that no one should take and copy his bets.

meaning it's not something strange, it's normal in my opinion.
Yup, it's not strange especially today when there are a lot of betting groups that are passing their leaders bet to the members. And as the members see the notification, they're going to copy what has been bet by that group owner.

So, there's no difference from the online and offline type of betting. We see people wanting to copy bets because they think that you're good in picking but you're all free to deny and reject them if you don't feel that you're going to allow them copy yours.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 21, 2023, 10:02:02 PM
Anyway, Xtreme Gaming won the series and will again face Azure Ray for the Finals and a slot for TI 2023. Based on their match yesterday, it will be another full series.
This series is done and congratulations to Azure Ray, we're going to see Somnus, FY, Chalice and their gang to the International 12.  Smiley

Watching the NA right now in the finals, nouns just took the first series and it's like a total massacre and one sided game against Dendi's gang, B8.

It is a best of 5 series and hopefully that they'll able to come back on the next games which is about to start within a few minutes.
1791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Elon Musk's SpaceX Isn't the Cause of This Multi-Billion-Dollar Bloodbath on: August 21, 2023, 08:39:45 PM
I think that I am one of those that have believed that it's SpaceX's fault that did start it and then everyone starts panicking and selling on their own. Usually, that's how it goes when there's a big news that comes out all of a sudden.

It creates the fear especially to the small ones and several factors added on it. At least for me, that's what I think the major factor for the dump because of the buzz it made.

And whoever made this or probably paid for this did again a successful thing for giving exposure to SpaceX and mostly for Elon Musk once again. So it's like whatever the crowd is shouting, we'll also shout for it.

Whoever staged this current incident is clever to shake weak hands into selling their BTC and create a temporary domino effect.
And we're going to see it anytime soon just like this recently and also in the past, I've seen this strategy before.

In any major drop in Bitcoin, everyone will blame Elum Musk, which is normal, given his bad history of constantly manipulating Bitcoin in his favor.
As long as he's making himself relevant to the market, he'll keep saying and doing things that are connected to the market just as what the Space X did.

It will not be surprising if the time comes again that he's get to talk a lot about Dogecoin or any crypto that he thinks he needs to boost or discount just as what always happens for Bitcoin.

That's like there's always a big factor why the market pumps and dumps other than the demand that it gets.

1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: August 19, 2023, 10:58:02 AM
Someone who likes to play gambling must understand very well the tactics that will be played and always be careful, because every time you play gambling the method of playing is different. If we don't know about gambling, it's impossible that we will always lose.
That makes sense.

If we have no idea of what gambling is, we're not going to lose. And that's the reason why some gamblers tend to look at themselves and they analyze themselves if they're still at the right attitude and emotion with their approach in gambling.

It's not just gambling, every time we do any activity we must always be careful, friend, so that later the results will be good for us.
Yup.

Taking care and doing things with care is a must and you need to be as vigilant as you can while observing yourself if you're still on the right mind of you're already losing yourself because of your emotions.
1794  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Tomorrow you wake up, You got 50000$ in your hand. What will you do? on: August 18, 2023, 04:59:09 PM
It's timely that Bitcoin is dropping so, $26k for Bitcoin to own 1BTC.

$20k could be part of my savings so that I can start expanding and own another home. That can be used for downpayment and the mortgage will also from that house that I'll get which can pay it until it pays in full.

$4k, maybe $2k for my life savings or emergency funds while the rest $2k could be good enough to spend some holiday in the country side since it's not going to be enough if I go somewhere else outside borders.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 17, 2023, 08:14:26 AM
As of typing this, The The International 2023 qualifiers of China has already started and the top bracket is almost done. We've got teams already proceeding to the next bracket which is the Upper Bracket Semi Finals.

Team Aster have won and they're going to face Xtreme Gaming from there.

While the lower bracket teams are just waiting for those teams that have fallen and their matches will start from tomorrow as followed by the Upper Bracket SemiFinals.

So, wait for tomorrow for the lower bracket round 2 as the last remaining game of writing this is Azure Ray against Team Bright.

And after a few hours, we'll see the start from the North American region.
1796  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As an undergraduate, is it advisable to invest my trustfund in Bitcoin? on: August 16, 2023, 07:24:25 PM
With wrong approach, you can't just be rich with anything.

Bitcoin has always been filled with those opinions that if someone owns it, they're technically rich at all. But no, everyone who wants to invest in Bitcoin is from all walks of life and you'll never know if they're rich or not.

Speaking from yourself, if you invest on Bitcoin and you get to see that it's not the result that you've expected to show then that means it has failed you.

People that are here have major plans on how long they're going to be in or there's actual no exit on it. It's for the long term plan and you're still early on it to consider it.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Money From a Debit Card to a Bitcoin Address on: August 13, 2023, 11:11:53 PM
I'll explain it without that much confusing and complicated process.

1. Using debit card through an exchange (Binance, Coinbase, etc.).
2. Buying Bitcoin on your chosen exchange.
3. Sending Bitcoin to the Bitcoin address that you desire.

That's it.

In short, you'll have to go through an exchange for you to use that debit card but it's not technically debit card to Bitcoin address.
1798  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new here please guide me. on: August 11, 2023, 08:12:58 PM
First, welcome John Matthew to the forum. I hope that you will enjoy your stay here and you'll learn more about Bitcoin and the forum as well.

also I want to became an Investor what should I do?
What you must do is not to rush. Understand first that it takes time for one to understand the basics of Bitcoin. Like how volatile it is and what do you need to have in able to start holding it.

Actually, it's not that complicated at all for you to start owning Bitcoin and first you need to buy it when you already understand that it's a volatile asset.

And by mean with that, is that the price changes from time to time and it's a very unpredictable asset to have. But, we're all agreeing that someday in the future that the value of it is only one direction and it's going to be way higher.

If you accusing someone with all of those things that you've mentioned and you've got proof of it, those words won't be enough to prove it.

It is easy to make stories and even if yours could be true, you have to support it with a fact and proof so that everyone is going to believe it and don't forget that we've got a scam report format here in use --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Noone is gonna play in the SEA, with Team SMG. I think this is the first time that he'll play for the SEA region and this is to be expected that a team will take him when the situation and status of the Old G is unstable. I am expecting that Topson will also be taken somewhere else but no longer with a SEA team as he has got a bad experience with T1 before.

And with an update which is still a rumor, this is for the pubs, no more destroying of items. Or, it's still allowed for players to destroy items but you'll get punished like being banned for matchmaking with 4 hours and 1 single draft game. No more Quinn tilting I guess?  Grin
That's a good carry upgrade for Team SMG, and I hope they perform well because I could see them making it in the finals if they have the same form during Tour 2 where they finished in third.
What I am thinking on this one is that SEA is only going to have one slot for the TI. It's like being the best of the best will actually get that slot, Valve was too strict on these DPC points and regionals. But that's what rules are for.

While the other regions have been packed with slots those that has fulfilled it with the DPC points and then they still have the regional slots. This is where I'm half on it, in favor and seeing its goodness but also feeling bad for other regions.

That's really pushing them to upgrade their game whether it's with the meta or not.

I also heard the rumors, but it might be in the testing phase because there's no official announcement and only a few players are receiving the punishment.
The new patch has been dropped but regarding this, I haven't see any announcement and update.
