18001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid BTC booming too fast? on: January 02, 2014, 03:23:41 PM
Boobs are good. It's the crashes that follow that are bad. Or not depending on how you take advantage of the situations.

FTFY.

Ha. What crashes are bad with boobs? Unless you lose concentration whilst driving.

Posting the following message for a newb from this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=395794.msg4271652#msg4271652

Well, I've been watching the forums for some time, registered recently and didn't get round to posting my newbie post. Now I wanted to post on an actual thread and, DOH! I can't.

So here I am, hi!

If anyone could be so kind, could someone quote the following for me and reply to this thread? :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379236.msg4271367#msg4271367

Mikellev, it looks like you did it right (as did I) as we both get the same result. It's been possible to check this in #earthcoin for some time now with !nextbonus. Sorry I didn't jump on to the thread sooner to help you out!

My first post! (Kinda, if someone actually quotes this in the thread for me Smiley )

Posted it for you.
18004  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 02, 2014, 03:15:56 PM
Well, no new campaigns should be put here or on any list until they pay for at least 1 month, that's a good start.  Second, you'd think only a handful of people would sign up for any new campaign until the OP proves it is legit.

I think they should have their own separate section, but until they pay out they can't be considered legitimate unless they're from an already trusted member.
18005  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: January 02, 2014, 03:13:53 PM
If users can't offer evidence that they can be trusted or have the deal then they shouldn’t be. It's up to them to prove that their deal it legit and worthy of our time. Otherwise don't use it as you're essentially promoting and propagating a scam.
18006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid BTC booming too fast? on: January 02, 2014, 03:10:56 PM
Too many booms and busts may cause people to not take BTC seriously and put BTC to bed.  I'd rather a slow steady gain in acceptance, as I believe it has done so far.

I think anybody who believes in BTC feels this way, but booms are just a natural process. It'll be a wild ride but hopefully it'll steady at some point.
18007  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you spend your days doing if you didn't have to work ever again? on: January 02, 2014, 02:59:58 PM
I think most people would travel. What else is there to do?
18008  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just had shrimp for dinner - AMA on: January 02, 2014, 02:57:56 PM
What does AMA mean? I don't think I've ever had shrimp. Do they taste like prawns?

AMA = Ask Me Anything, which i'm guessing is based off of Reddit.

How many Shrimps did you have?  I had a wonderful Shrimp Ceviche last night...quite delicious!

Ah, well in that case: how do Shrimp compare to prawns?
18009  Other / Off-topic / Re: DA FUQ AMAZON? on: January 02, 2014, 02:57:03 PM
Says Amazon EU. Havant ordered from Amazon in a while, but is there an Amazon UK as well, or is that covered in EU.
18010  Other / Off-topic / Re: Schumacher's accident on: January 02, 2014, 02:52:50 PM
He is showing signs of improvement according to recent news updates. Good news at least.

I remember this is what they kept saying about Chino from the Deftones and look how that turned out. Without context or further detail 'signs of improvement' can mean his little toe might be spasming occasionally etc.

I believe their reason was increased brain activity. It can always spiral out of control but, it's always nice to hear good news instead of bad in the early stages. Early stages normally give us a good indication.

Increased brain activity means little if they're still going to be in vegetative state. I couldn’t imagine anything worse than being conscious or semi-conscious yet trapped in my own body.
18011  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: January 02, 2014, 02:21:24 PM
So why the long drama.

You asshole got advertisement using thread that eventually ended in scam

18012  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Judge Says NSA Phone Surveillance Is Legal on: January 02, 2014, 02:20:16 PM
Could other countries or individuals of other countries take legal action against the USG? There must be something stopping people from suing etc.

18014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we unite and claim bitcoiners land? on: January 02, 2014, 02:14:44 PM
Could we buy up enough land to claim it as bitcoin land? Everyone using BTC...

Depends what you mean. Sure, people could buy up land and call it Bitcoinland or whatever you wanted, but do you mean as its own sovereign nation with it's own currency etc?
18015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DOCUMENTS: NSA Has 'A 100% Success Rate' Putting Spyware On iPhones on: January 02, 2014, 02:10:25 PM
I'd be more worried about them building backdoors straight into the phones themselves, so no need for intercepting them.
18016  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Judge Says NSA Phone Surveillance Is Legal on: January 02, 2014, 01:55:14 PM
Usually what happens is "they" select a judge which will rule in their favor. It's that simple and has been done for many years to buy time, do damage control and so on.

Obviously they're never going to let an independent impartial person be the judge. Anybody who was would see this as completely illegal and against human rights.
18017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if ISPs start blocking cryptocurrency data? on: January 02, 2014, 01:41:28 PM
And they pretty much won
They won?

Let me check something- nope, I can still find any content I want on TPB and download it without any problems.

While you're right of course, the very fact that someone might think they won is significant. The great mass of people seem to be have been successfully herded into models like Netflix and iTunes than bittorrent. I speak of course of the rich countries.
It seems a quasi-equilibrium has been reached where the "authorities" make only limited attempts to suppress bittorrent, while providing an alternative within accepted structures, and you get a 80-20 (pure guess) split between those who go along, and those who choose to stay outside the system.

These type of streaming services are the only real chance they've got at clawing some money from people.
18018  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: January 02, 2014, 01:31:59 PM

Then I thought, I should not waste another ~$3000 in paying you all guys. I could start something other with this actually.

Bye! Smiley Cheesy

Somehow , I just like this guy. Smiley
This should be added on the book "never do business with shady people"  on page 144 444 volume 132.

What's to like? I'm sure he'll be back under another guise for another go.

Probably he is already back. And even this new guy on the block is not him, the story is still the same nevertheless...

Haha, probably is. The sites are pretty similar from what I remember, though I could be wrong.
18019  Economy / Services / Re: Get 0.4 BTC for your Signature! [ minimum 10 posts :-) ] on: January 02, 2014, 01:23:04 PM
I cant believe how many gullible people are about  Grin

Welcome to Bitcointalk. Greed sometimes blinds people.

Welcome to real life where greed blinds most people most of the time... It's just a matter of personal preferences and tender spots...

Peoples' stupidity blows my mind daily, both on here and in the real world. Why people take chances on these users when there's already existing established payouts just doesn't compute.
18020  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 02, 2014, 01:21:15 PM
Well Bitsplay.ga finally stopped by to update us on the sitch:

Someone please give me a Scammer tag! Wink
sadly we have no system which check who is going good and who is scammer its a big problem here I start work with Coinlender its not pay to me then bit 365 no pay now I am in PD and its one of good campaign's hope its works

There are plenty of ways and systems to minimise risk. PD has paid out for months and has reputation here. When new guys pop up they need to show proof that they will pay out, otherwise you should leave them well alone.
