Are you a bot? I'm asking if the linked material is a scam (I believe so), not if steem is a scam (I believe it's legit).

^UGH, I already pointed out that content buyers can now bid and negotiate with a global set of content providers (lowering everyone's costs)--this allows more competition and easier access for new and emerging artists.
If you see a move towards zero marginal costs, it's going to happen--it's the way capitalism works.

Why are you asking us instead of making a blog post on steemit?
Looking for whales to upvote you?
No, I'm posting here because most of us here are leery of scams, and judging by how easily the steemers gave up 8K without decent assurances, they're probably a little too trusting. (your comment is proof of what I'm saying--don't trust what's only on the surface--but to be fair, it wouldn't help me much if the post linked was upvoted as it's not my post and anything gleaned would be a small part of the curation or comment pool)

If there's only one Larimer the other 3 billion women are obviously going to have a hard time finding their dream man.
That's right, because what decent, respectable woman wouldn't want a lying, cheating, perverted, white trash, no good, porno peddling, communist, pimp as their husband? The line starts here ladies. You obviously don't understand women. The white trash part might be an issue though. Maybe. I didn't say Dan wouldn't be able to get a woman, but I think we all know what type of woman he'll get. https://chaturbate.com/barrrbi/ (NSFW) Poor bastard

That would buy a nice starter package in CryptoKingdom: land, horse, a few pigs, and without mortgaging the dividend.
btw looking forward to join CryptoKingdom when it resumes You'll make Prince in no time. The county game is the big loss--if you missed the early sign-up (they're like chains that you can manage at your discretion), costly, but they offer power users the type of precision they need to make functional replicas (this is reddit, meets Warcraft, meets free market decentralization or not) the real tests are in implementation, as sophisticated product as this is--there are endless complications. Risto's mad-genius is a Tesla fused with market and game theory and juiced on Sid Meier's sense of history. Interesting to play. Though the RPG aspects really need fleshed out, the strategy aspect is pretty well organized and the market functions are as sophisticated as anything I've ever played, and if economic warfare is your method for intoxicating gameplay, it's the one for you. And while I miss the complicated design aspect associated with buildings, there is probably a current design system that could be latched on and made to fit.... That's my short version.

like universally illegal kinda shit? the kind of thing that is so bad one does not mention it by name?
Is it possible that this has not happened already?
Hillary's emails?! ha good answer though not the evil I was thinking of It would likely get a lot of downvotes from members this is I guess the only penalty I don't know if they are going to deduct your earnings or ban you,I haven't read much about illegal content only downvote stuffs I think they ask for KYC in those cases. Centralization has its perks. If no one's been paying attention, when I write "MLK was probably helped by the threat of MalcomX," one should fill in the metaphorical blanks and run test.

Note Steemit is accumulating numerous copyright violations. I've read it is $150 per infraction in potential liability.
From what I understand, all videos and pictures are linked externally. At the blockchain level there is only a url link - which may respond now but not after 3 years. Copying text could be another issue though. The amount of articles reposted without citations is pretty ridiculous. The Steemit Gestapo are on it. MasterYoda is being heavily downvoted, and it appears he does make citations. Too bad MasterYoda powered up. He'll have to just put up with it for two long years. Wonder how many others will get fed up with Steemit and have to hang out in purgatory for two years? Purgatory is where spam merchants belong. I think Dante said that.

I could literally start an online school from my crappy apartment, without having to explain why I don't have a graduate degree (but the tests verify I have the knowledge base). https://steemit.com/poetry/@jdevans/in-the-rain--see coments

The problem with steemit is that posts are way too long, most people nowadays don't bother reading long stories they want to consume the most content in the least amount of time.
Btw I made 5k by posting fake intro post, I created 4 bogus profil, took photos of travel and stuff from facebook wrote a few things and made over 1000$ per post on average, some users asked me some proof which i ignored. Only thing i had to do was to order 5 sim ( in UK u can get as much as you want) so yeah pretty good site
Making sure this sticks around. And now I get 404 errors and unknown account errors when I try to go my account--that's some coincidence. @smooth, if I need you to witness for account recovery I'll contact you by way of the stone quarry company's shareholder's hotline number. Risto has a secret message only he and I know, so he can verify further if you have doubts. Doubt it is needed , but just in case.

I had joined steemit and made a couple of articles and am wondering is it still viable to post there and make a little extra income or is the system rigged in favor of certain writers? I see mixed feedback primarily negative now but want more info from those successfully using it.
The best thing to do is have a verifiable introducemyself post. If you look at them, you'll see if you can tell a story about yourself with words and images, that you humanize yourself for the reader and people are more likely to give to someone they can empathize with--plus there's an incentive to bring new users into the site and the motivated upvoters know this. Also, technical backgrounds seem to do as well as a cute face and boobs, so if you have one, nerd it up. After that it's really a matter if you content creation is your thing or curation or a mix--feel like there should be moderation incentives, but don't think there are (and look at the above post for why).

You could, but saying it before you do it is like the Great Oz going, "You see that curtain, I'm gonna go stand behind it an create illusions.
Are you challenging me? I asked why I shouldn't and instead of addressing my question, you reply saying I am just talking and can't doing. Your drooling infatuation with Steem is a bit of extra motivation for me. After criticizing Dash so much, you've suddenly got a God complex with Larimer's butthole. Whoa, pull it back and read between the lines. What I'm trying to tell you is that every post you've ever made becomes troll bait if you play that game and that quotation specifically will be used given the timing of your venture--I'm saying you have a lot of negatives to overcome (other than coding) to pull this off. I like you Shelby, but I'm not going to ignore the obvious to appease your ego. The little things--that have little to nothing to do with coding--are part of any platform's analysis for success. You don't like it (who does?), but it's there. If you are angry with me, fine. But don't count on me apologizing for a heads up.
