Do people play Space Engineers properly? I'd like to get into that, medieval engineers also looks pretty cool.
1822  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-02-20] Video: CNN - morgan spurlock living on bitcoin on: February 20, 2015, 03:28:23 PM
Thanks! I saved it so if it suddenly gets taken down let me know Wink
1823  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-02-20] CS: Stripe Now Lets All Merchants Accept Bitcoin on: February 20, 2015, 03:24:36 PM
Wow that's awesome and it's not a bullshit rumour as well, thanks for posting this up, looks like while we're not necessarily attracting tons of merchants yet all the payment processors seem to be coming on board.
1824  Other / Off-topic / Re: Star Citizen on: February 20, 2015, 10:40:10 AM
I hope they don't screw this up, at the very least I emailed them about matchmaking so maybe they'll listen to me but it's sad to see when devs get these ideas into their heads they go with it and never admit it's a bad idea despite lots of games proving it is, maybe I'll be better off saving up for Elite: Dangerous instead they at the very least don't seem to have gone the micro-transaction route yet.

Also, anybody who actually supports this shitty business model should be ashamed of themselves.
1825  Other / Off-topic / Star Citizen on: February 20, 2015, 09:15:16 AM
So how many of you have backed the Star Citizen kickstarter? I got it last Christmas as a present but I'm starting to get worried about it, I'm still hoping they'll pull through, but they seem to be getting into all this crap other developers always tend to put in late towards release. You've got a heavy amount of micro-transactions going on with these ships and even though it would be hilarious if it happened you can bet that a bunch of people are going to ragequit if they discover that $100 ship they paid for is just the same as everything else which makes me worry the devs are going to appease them.

Then on the other fucking hand you have matchmaking recently put in which absolutely sucks! Here's to hoping they put up proper dedicated servers because otherwise it's going to be terrible using the arena commander module. Here's a classic problem I had, got a deathmatch set up fine, flew around and got shot at a lot, then however I tried playing capture the core, which is basically capture the flag but in space. The game took a bit longer to get set up but the moment you log in there's 1 fucking player that isn't connecting up properly so of course the match doesn't start.

Matchmaking doesn't work! It can search for players, but it can never adapt to the human element where people have connection problems, quit in the middle of the game so on and some matchmaking systems are so hyper-sensitive they'll just suddenly boot you out if anything goes slightly wrong, I think I'll actually write an email to RSI to tell them because all those fucking fanbois they have on the forums now will likely worship them no matter what.

Seems to be an alarming number of games doing this now because now I think about it Titanfall and Call of Duty regularly pull this shit, how the hell can they benefit from players not being able to connect up to games properly and ending up rage quitting as result like I did?
1826  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sealand - turned into BitcoinLand? on: February 19, 2015, 07:22:03 PM
I've always thought of Sealand as a bit of a rich guy's gimmick really to be honest, as others have said, there isn't any commerce, trade and it doesn't really take part in any proper international diplomacy, I'd love for a small nation like that to properly exist though, right now it seems like the world is simply turning into three huge factions and people don't value their own independence at all.

You also need to take into account that thing is clearly not going to last forever, the platform is probably going to sink or get knocked over at some point.
1827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CNN’s Morgan Spurlock ‘Survives on Bitcoin’ for a Week on: February 19, 2015, 07:15:00 PM
news hype as usual without content being ready

Yeah, I wanted to see a link to the full episode Sad
1828  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does it annoy you when people ask "what do you do?" on: February 18, 2015, 05:51:04 PM
Really those are your reasons? For me it's the fact that every time I tell people what I do I have to explain it and they still don't get it, the only people who know what I do are people who either do what I do already or use the internet regularly. To keep things simple I often just say I work with Jewellery because that's something people understand, I won't even get into artwork the majority of the time because people don't fucking understand the idea of manga etc. and you have to explain it.
1829  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is this program fake? on: February 18, 2015, 01:19:18 PM
Wouldn't trust that kind of program for a second, assuming you're talking about an apple product, apple are obsessively controlling when it comes to all their software etc. why do you think you always need to connect to the internet in order to access anything?

There's a reason anybody with any sense avoids apple products, especially if they know about security, the last thing you want is to have something installed on your PC that has a constant internet connection that can't be switched off.
1830  Other / Meta / Re: how to tell why a post was deleted on: February 18, 2015, 09:20:21 AM
When you make useless shit posts that increases the likelihood of getting your posts deleted, this includes posts like your example, if it really bothers you that much you could PM them or edit another post of yours to add a note in it for the OP because otherwise a lot of people including me will just think you're trying to bump up your post count by posting one liners and complaining about trivial things. If you don't want people to think you're just spamming, then have an actual conversation with them, the vast majority of the time I see people spam they're always talking to themselves and they always use one liners trying to disguise them as 'clever' observations.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready (not just willing) to make payments in Bitcoin? on: February 17, 2015, 03:22:04 PM
I pay with Bitcoin whenever I can, I wish my usual stores would hurry up and accept it already.
1832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Friendly Reminder Bitcoin Is Not Anonymous on: February 17, 2015, 07:43:10 AM
Anyone who actually knows about Bitcoin already knows Bitcoin isn't fully anonymous, anyone who doesn't is either going to ignore this fact or is too stupid to realise anyway.
1833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STAHP USING ONLINE EXCHANGES/WALLETS on: February 16, 2015, 09:39:28 PM
them what is your solution for people who are trading with bitcoin on exchangers! if they stop their day to day trading and start selling price will be 50$

You don't get the point, exchanges are used for trading, not storage, if you plan on holding them long term you don't let them sit there on an exchange even if it's only for a week, you're just asking for trouble if it's a large amount, the problem here is there are people genuinely using these places as storage areas and they end up getting themselves screwed over for it and then come bitching here about it all the fucking time.
1834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Has our news always been this bad? on: February 16, 2015, 06:50:47 PM
I personally think people who advocate keeping someone artificially alive with no genuine hope of a cure are advocating torture because that's how much pain you put them in by keeping them on machines, but of course the people advocating this have no fucking clue about what it would be like for them because they're all fit and healthy and in a position to make such ignorant comments.

It's like listening to men rant on about abortion and of course it's almost always men because women actually know the kind of pain and problems involved with pregnancy and having a child.
1835  Other / Politics & Society / Re: why isis kill people because they are different? on: February 16, 2015, 05:04:49 PM
Ladies and gentlemen I believe chavs have finally figured out how to use Bitcoin, seriously, my eyes are bleeding.

ISIS is a cult sprung from mainstream religion and simply follow tenets and beliefs that the rest of them would prefer to ignore and yes, they were funded by the CIA during the rebellion against Sadam Hussein and Assad.

CIA = ISIS ?

I just figured it out from your post and I'm kindda shocked

ISIS is getting more cruel than before  Angry

http://www.presstv.com/detail/2014/08/28/376913/isil-completely-fabricated-enemy-by-us/

Al Qaeda back in the days of the cold war was also funded by the CIA to fight the Soviets, these militant groups are all products of poorly thought out strategies by intelligence agencies.
1836  Other / Off-topic / Re: You are the lucky winner! *me sad* on: February 16, 2015, 03:18:07 PM
Oh yeah, those things suck, they're definitely phishing links, I think if you register to a lot of stuff they just end up getting it one way or another, so they'll either hack a database that's been poorly secured or buy it off the black market and yes even if a company has one of those stupid "We will not sell yout personal information" notices you can be assured they are full of shit, facebook in particular is guilty of pissing around with personal information if you're signed up to that.

1838  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS Video Purportedly Shows Mass Execution of 21 Egyptian Christians on: February 16, 2015, 03:10:37 PM
I sure hope you're right, but if you look at it from our point of view when there are Muslims protesting a fucking cartoon in the thousands and Muslims trying to shoot up freedom of speech debates it's pretty hard to believe, no one outside of this religion including ironically enough fundamentalist Christians seem to be able to understand why these assholes think it's so acceptable to get angry over so little and I don't either, get the fuck over it.
1839  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Has our news always been this bad? on: February 16, 2015, 03:00:59 PM
I think it's always been this bad, calling it murder and death is exactly the kind of talk that social and religious conservatives use, the person who wrote this article probably belongs to that camp and CNN has always been pretty shit as a news source anyway.
1840  Other / Off-topic / Re: What tricks do you use to help you sleep? on: February 16, 2015, 02:48:21 PM
Hard work

+1 Not being a lazy fuck helps.
