1861  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: (SCAM) ROLLBIT.COM - you Deposit 1497 BUSD, you Withdraw 0 (account blocked) on: February 21, 2023, 09:08:22 AM
from what I have seen on their ToS gamblers from the Czech republic are prohibited from using the gambling site(I assume you are from Czech republic after using google translate the language on the screenshot you shared), did you perhaps use a VPN to bypass this restriction?
Based on the email OP was tagged as multi accounting linking to other abusers that was banned to sportsbook. However, just like what we are seeing from other complaints on other casinos such tagged (multi accounting) have zero posts about the evidence on how the accounts are connected. When a casino labeled an account as multi accounting they wont give an explanation or even a mere evidence on why it happens lmao. Then confiscate the balance, that's it.
1862  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie account got a username change ! First one in my eyes on: February 21, 2023, 08:44:04 AM
Yup this guy username was ... I don't understand how a newbie can change his account name.  Whereas I have long known that only highly reputable and famous person can change his name. I don't understand why Theymos did this.  Maybe something happened for some special reason. Changing name is increasing nowadays
No need mentioning his former name lmao, anyway it's all over the internet.

But no, there are instances that an admin approve a change name request regardless the rank and the popularity of the user. When it comes to privacy reason, admin usually approve it it only takes 1-2 days on this one, but of course you still need a good explanation when doing such request.
1863  Other / Meta / Re: Why not force bounties off site? on: February 20, 2023, 10:56:54 PM
They are worthless but there is no discussion about these bounties they are just there to get money and post the same thing over and over again.
The board itself is doing what's its purpose, period.

Obviously you can't discuss on bounty boards and by the word bounties its really for money making purposes. The spam is subjective, it may look like a spam to you but for others not because those kind of posts (proof authentication post) is made just for that board.

One of the very reason of posting such authentication posts is to prohibit of joining multiple accounts which will be a pain in the ass if managers would allow registration using google form or whatever they will use offsite.
1864  Other / Meta / Re: Deletion of my account on: February 20, 2023, 08:14:01 AM
Well, if the deletion of the account is because of that username, or you by chance use your real name or whoever in that username, you can request to admin @Cyrus to change your name for privacy reasons and etc. I knew some users here was approved to change their username by that reason.
1865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining on cryptocurrency. on: February 19, 2023, 11:45:00 PM
I suggest to OP to not deposit and forget about this cloud mining you should have mentioned the name of the cloud mining to warn others, anyway majority of cloud mining are scam.
Probably that cloud mining site he is referring is not active anymore as he mentioned that he can't login any more and probably turned into scam which most or all cloud mining sites are.
1866  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 on: February 19, 2023, 10:43:58 PM
<snip>
They left the forum.
Their website and token are still up though.

I was shocked by Owl's departure from Bitcointalk. To me, it is not a good move for them to leave the forum to limit the negative experiences that their players are encountering. It just shows that they do not want to be transparent. That alone is something that makes people doubt the service. I can't believe they turned out to be like this, I thought it was a good casino, I even joined their signature campaign before.
The reason they stated for leaving the forum is that they are re-arranging their strategies for better support services
For "Better support", but takes several days to reply using their site's support, they also easily ban anyone on their telegram group when someone's raising about some accusation against them. Well, obviously that is not better, it's like limiting their users for support purposes and it's like cutting ties to this community forum as well.
1867  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Will it be considered as Ponzi (Strange Bank) on: February 19, 2023, 02:38:56 PM
I'll consider it as ponzi in their(PAT) currency form.  Their app/account is also strange why would they put a reset button just to clear the whole account balance such feature is unnecessary and useless. Then there's a free pat button where you can get tons of its tokens. It may look like a free money but it will be useless and worth nothing.
1868  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of sticky topics created by authors with negative Trust on: February 19, 2023, 10:12:48 AM
Permanent solution could be an admin/mods made account (or just them) that is only for this kind of topics (pinned topic). This thread can be edited by mods as well so it will be easy to edit it when it becomes outdated just need a reminder.
Creating special account just for pinned posts is kinda over complicating the issue and it would be more elegant if they just did it by themselves on their own main accounts. After all, how often mods get tagged for scams?
The creation of special account is to avoid of having negative feedback since it will only be used for such purpose since the main issue here is the account/s of having negative trusts/tag because mods even admins can be tagged, like who knows they are inevitable from that.
1869  Economy / Gambling / Re: Owl.games on: February 19, 2023, 06:05:18 AM
Check their last reply on the thread, its mentioned their reasons. Locking the thread has lot of cons, there are at least 1 or 2 or more active scam accusations against them and these complainants nothing can do here since they only accept site's customer support regarding any issues.
1870  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of sticky topics created by authors with negative Trust on: February 18, 2023, 11:23:44 PM
What if the new author of the pinned thread received a negative feedback for some reason since DT are regularly changing so reds wil be visible, so another author/thread will be chosen to be pinned, so on and so forth, there's no end to that.

Permanent solution could be an admin/mods made account (or just them) that is only for this kind of topics (pinned topic). This thread can be edited by mods as well so it will be easy to edit it when it becomes outdated just need a reminder.
1871  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommend crypto payment gateway for a small e-commerce site? on: February 18, 2023, 10:49:23 PM
BTCPay Server is the best option but like joniboini suggested it require some work. When you have an IT guy then it's not a big deal.

Additionally there are third-party hosts for BTCPay server[3], but it has few concern.
To be exact, here are some/all of the list[1] of thirdparty sites accepting registration for btcpay payment that is ready to use for accepting payments to your site.

1872  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammed by cur-ves.com on: February 18, 2023, 09:15:14 PM
So you have been using the site for a year already? Or its just your relationship with the lady? And you didn't get any suspicious when you searched it and even google can't you details about them?. I can't even access the site.. Yeah, this is a common scam. i'll be expecting more from internet users now because of resources they have to get information via the internet but it looks like its the opposite. Anyway, this should serve you a lesson, that always use google to search about a site before doing anything about money.
1873  Other / Meta / Re: Dark mode on Bitcointalk on: February 18, 2023, 03:46:19 PM
Sorry for this off topic reply, but why you hiding the total logged in time? Will it cause any problem related to account security or privacy? Isn't it just a meaningless number or am I missing something?
It's not related to any security and/or privacy matter, I bet it's just a personal preference and so be it.

IMO built dark modes scripts for this forum are just awful ot just this forum doesn't look better in dark modes, that's why i still prefer this light mode.
1874  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best crypto casino for Netherlands? on: February 18, 2023, 07:49:37 AM
Coming to your query, I checked some sites that I regularly play at and observed that none of them allow gamblers from Netherlands
Yeah, because Netherlands banned any kind of gambling activities. So licensed casinos won't entertain any local from these countries (who banned gambling). So KYC-required casinos will be a pain in the ass to access for those users who came from these countries.

So here[1] are non-kyc gambling site, they may don't have or have active scam accusations on this forum so DYOR first. Note that i don't own that site, i just saw it in google so again DYOR.

1875  Economy / Economics / Re: Lebanese depositors smash up, burn Beirut banks on: February 17, 2023, 11:50:24 PM
I feel like attacking and destroying such establishment will do harm than good. But yeah, you can feel the rage of these people when realising that you can't get what you save for several years. Which crypto has the advantage for but only when you do all security measures to secured your funds as you be your own bank.
1876  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin testnet faucets and scam ads on: February 17, 2023, 11:33:07 PM
If it would be some ad banner, I wouldn't blame them for it. Usually owner of website don't have much control over what is shown there.
More particularly, a text ad. Like what is shown in etherscan ads iirc. Probably the site owner uses an ad service, with that kind of link uBlock or even other ad blocker (hopefully) warns user when clicking such link.
1877  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recommend crypto payment gateway for a small e-commerce site? on: February 17, 2023, 05:29:41 AM
I do not want to cause you frustration, but most of the third-party services for bitcoin payments are not good for several reasons, for example some of them sometimes ask for KYC
For businesses running its services getting payment gateways, business-related information is really required, knowing ecommerce sites using card payments, Paypal, and other fiat payments 90% KYC is required, which is business owners are not surprised when asked basic KYC and business-related information.
1878  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sign and verify easily with BitcoinMessageTools on: February 16, 2023, 11:50:03 PM
This part "5) Both CLI and web tools are fully open-source, you can find relevant code here and here"
Thanks, didn't read the whole thread just go to directly to site :my bad:
Unfortunately, this was written on python, so i can't implement it on my site.
1879  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Owl.games confiscated 0.1 BTC for rediculous reason on: February 16, 2023, 11:19:23 PM
Ahh... Owlgames, a name I haven't heard in a while. And you too, been a while.

Yes, their customer service is notoriously poor.
This is a very obvious on what service they are trying to built. And obvious reason that they don't want to deal the community from this forum towards their platform while they get mostly their users from here.
Just like i said before limiting their support will give nothing but nightmare to those who want to access their support when their website built-in support is too slow handling issues.
1880  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sign and verify easily with BitcoinMessageTools on: February 16, 2023, 10:40:24 PM
Can you make the project open source? If ever? I have made a website page for this too on my newly made website but i can't find any bitcoinjs library to make the signing message works without running nodejs that can verify message both segwit and legacy address. So currently its not working lol.

Gotcha, found it.
