What do you think? Is there going to be more wars?  Smiley

Almost certainly, so man dominos are wobbling, something looks very likely to fall.
I think islamic state will be the cause.
1882  Economy / Economics / Re: Right time to switch from CHF into BTC on: December 21, 2014, 03:37:41 PM
The Swiss National Bank (SNB) has surprised markets by introducing negative interest rates, and has reiterated that it will continue to defend the 1.20 EUR/CHF floor with the “utmost determination”. This follows a long period of time where the exchange rate has threatened to dip below the floor multiple times.

http://www.dailyfx.com/forex/market_alert/2014/12/18/Swiss-Franc-Plummets-After-SNB-Introduces-Negative-Interest-Rates.html
It really is disgusting that the governments are so happ to screw over the little guy at every step. Why should Switzerland be pegged to the euro and why should it have a negative interest rate when it is fairly prosperous at the moment? So a few at the top can keep making money... Great.
1883  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold to the moon on: December 21, 2014, 03:35:03 PM
gold has zero potential unlike bitcoin
Exactly.
It has 6000 years of history though, I like both gold and bitcoin, but let's not forget which is more established!
1884  Economy / Speculation / Re: Up or down? on: December 21, 2014, 03:30:45 PM
Bouncing around between 300-400 until poker stars starts using bitcoin or a big regulated US exchange comes online.
1885  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: ADVANTAGE INVESTMENTS - 10% Return With An Advantage Over The House on: December 21, 2014, 03:27:43 PM
Escrow sounds good, but investing in gambling sites seems to be vey risky, at some point the owners notice that they could earn far more by just walking away with the money, than work hard to hopefully make some money to pass on to the investors!
1886  Economy / Gambling / Re: Selling UFC Picks for every upcoming fight. flawless record in parlays . on: December 21, 2014, 03:23:38 PM
Got any proof of your UFC knowledge? Are you a trainer, pundit or somehow an expert?
Can you show a decent history of profits? If each bet had cost $5 would you still have made profit?

I am guessing no is the answer to all of these questions, but I hope I am wrong.
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any other site accepting CLAM? on: December 20, 2014, 10:48:24 AM
What is the advantage of using clams over any other alt, or indeed bitcoin?
I know justdice accept them, but other than copycatting why should everyone else follow?

P.S. I will either bet mine or trade them for BTC.
1888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its always the darkest just before dawn on: December 20, 2014, 08:33:46 AM
I ordered pizza last night with bitcoin, it was so easy and fast too.
I have also ordered a bed and presents with bitcoin in the last week. I decided it was time to start using bitcoin instead of just investing in them. That is how bitcoin will really grow. We all celebrate when a new company accepts bitcoin, but how many of us then use the service??
1889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shorting have changed everything. We should change too. on: December 20, 2014, 08:25:06 AM
It does make it a more mature market. You can't have a market where everyone gains from it rising. Otherwise why shouldn't it rise forever? It does also unfortunately mean that the little guy will get screwed, but that is almost always the case!

1891  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Purse.io - Bitcoin Amazon Marketplace - Save ~10-25% on Amazon Wishlist on: December 19, 2014, 02:10:49 PM
Not to spam the thread, but I am loving Purse.  My 15% discount order got taken quickly and went smoothly.
It makes me worry less about the price of bitcoin falling when I can spend them to get a 15% discount, it takes the edge off the losses at least!
1892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its always the darkest just before dawn on: December 19, 2014, 02:08:52 PM
When you think its over and all is lost.  We have bottomed.

I remember watching CNBC when the S&P was at 666 and it felt like the world was ending and nothing could turn it around.  That was actually the best point to invest in a lifetime.

Bitcoin will have its day and it will be glorious.
CNBC said something negative? I have never seen that before!  Usually they say that any fall is a buying opportunity and any rise means it will keep on rising.
Bitcoin is low at the moment, but the future prospects haven't changed.
1893  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold to the moon on: December 19, 2014, 02:04:28 PM
It was after the collapse of 2008 that Gold soared.  There are rumours that Russia is selling gold to prop up their economy, that wouldn't be good for the price.
If I was in charge, I would buy more gold and back the rouble with gold.  They can meet in the middle as the rouble collapses and they buy more gold!
1894  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am finally buying on: December 19, 2014, 02:02:46 PM
Awww but I want coins for 50$  Cry

https://www.tradingview.com/v/BI18JRXH/

We could go $250
We could yes, but the global economic situation looks like money could (should) be moving into bitcoin.
It has always been said that bitcoin isn't stable enough, well the rouble, oil price and stock markets aren't exactly "stable" at the moment.  I don't see why Venezuelans and Russians wouldn't fancy putting some money into bitcoin, just in case.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any other site accepting CLAM? on: December 19, 2014, 01:57:31 PM
Why would anyone use CLAM!?
because we were given them for free and can exchange them for real money!?!
1896  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cybersport bitcoin betting on: December 18, 2014, 10:25:11 AM
Oh sorry, I should learn to read! Betting on online games.  Would they not be too easy to rig?
Interesting idea though, it would be good to do on the console. Xbox is accepting bitcoin, maybe they can accept bitcoin party betting too!
1897  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cybersport bitcoin betting on: December 18, 2014, 10:19:01 AM
Do you mean cyber betting like cyber horse racing? I am not a big fan, but I am surprised that no one offers it!
1898  Economy / Speculation / Re: Russians.. on: December 17, 2014, 01:08:11 PM
Would have saved a lot of wealth if they had started pouring their wealth from the rubble into Bitcoin USD a couple months ago..

FTFY.
But hey, I'll match your hindsight & schadenfreude with "You could have saved a lot of wealth by pouring your Bitcoin into USD a year ago."

Actually if they had poured it into bitcoin, the price would probably be higher now and a better return than the USD..
1899  Economy / Speculation / Re: The world must of turned upside down on: December 17, 2014, 01:06:54 PM
Why aren't you spending? When we actually start using bitcoin, then companies will accept it more often and a bitcoin economy can be built.
Or you can just sit on it and post to the moon memes like everyone else
1900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Re: accepting bitcoins online on: December 17, 2014, 07:57:40 AM
Why do you need other people to join you in a chance bet?
You gain nothing, others gain nothing but they tak e arisk of you stealing their money... sounds good!
