The kind of sad part every time im about to give up something drags me back in , i can't just let it go home Ming that's is.so i just hang in there and hope some one Has mercy on us .
1922  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Help! Mining is killing my lightbulbs on: November 24, 2015, 04:05:30 AM
True, i had a 110 10/2 15 amp  line up to three k once it only popped when the dic washer kicked in sense that was the only thing besides my miner on it, sense then ive had 2 110 20 amps put in, then a  new main panel then a 240 30 amp on 8/2 wire, i use now.

sense he said it"s not a option to try another line i tired to help him with what he had.

nice glad some one pushed it,
it sounds like it his wiring at this point .
but sense that's not a option, lower the speed as some one else said or try a different line.

those miner are pulling a 1000 watts can I  buy them Smiley at default speeds ?.

i guess my point is not being a jerk how do you have a s2 and Jupiter doing that that's amazing  il buy them more then one Jupiter ?.

does sound like they are pulling to much .
1923  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: November 24, 2015, 12:14:15 AM

new chip company
care to share more info ?

not new they decided to sell to the public i think it's LKE or some thing like that they made big post here about a month ago .
1926  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Where to buy chips/boards. on: November 23, 2015, 11:17:28 PM
Well,
Bitmain behaviour is not surprise since recently they were the one and only company selling to general public, they do not want competition there.
KNC and Bitfury take the path with big corporate farms long time ago, they did not even released any public info on the performance of their chips.
But for me Avalon is surprise.
I did liked their open source approach in the past with Gen2 ,3 and 4: samples, datasheets, technical support for devs trough mailing list and IRC.
They even had a competition with prizes for open source design for their 2 gen chips. Now I see they choose the Bit main way.
What a pity . So officially open source development of ASIC miners is limited to outdated chips and dead Sad
May be the last hope is  Spondo , but not sure as far they have corporate hat now and some market decisions are not up to them any more.

yup after SP Merged it all changed.

in  Feb of next year there is suppose ti be another company that might sell to the public cheaper then them all, i read the release date for next fall that was posted wrong but haven't seen any more about it .it may have even been a scam to get some fast cash they were taking per orders. There are very skilled people out there that want to keep home mining going but the big guys for some reason think it's gonna hurt them to help out .

one other thing you might try is buy one of the higher end lightbulbs if the surge protector doesn't work, it may just be cheap lightbulbs, i know you don't want to hear that but it could be that sadly .some of those low enrgry  lightbulbs are made cheap and burn out faster then the more costly ones. but try the surge protector first if it keeps blowing, it might just be cheap made lightbulbs Tongue(.
1929  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Help! Mining is killing my lightbulbs on: November 23, 2015, 09:42:51 PM
what version of softwre miner are using if bfg

try to put

BFGMiner:
stratum+tcp://pool url.com:port_num/#xnsub   (mind the slash '/' before #xnsub) all version of BFG beyond 4.7 support it

CGMIiner may or may not .

one version might not, one may

but with cgminer use it the same but no / is needed

CGMINER:
stratum+tcp://poolurl:port_num#xnsub (no slash '/' before #xnsub)

if your version of CG doesn't support it, if CGMINER IS the software you have, it just won't work

that should help stop the discount if your not doing it all ready . You are anlt coin mining the way it sounds ? .

On my Jupiters I am running bfgminer version 3.8.1
On my S2 I am running CGminer version 3.12.0
S3 running an unknown version.

I am not mining altcoins just F2Pool.

try it any way it helps with any disconnect i remember one time  i rented a miner the guy was having disconnect issue, i was only doing one coin with that miner, I asked him to try that it worked , his DC stopped but it may be a power issue you power is dirty so to speak or keeps dropping due to power company issues, check there site to see if they are having any kind of issue some times the power company's are and report it on there site . or get a new surge protector I'm  sure you have one now with all that gear. make sure the PSU or PSU's are ok .

NM #xnsub won't just noticed your versions of  bfg try to update it to  5.4.1 maybe then try ? . i really can't say what version of CGMINer other then start with cgminer4.8.0 on i think they put in support then but took it out at the latest CG MINER or it's there but you have to patch it in .

BFG has a nice walk thu in the ASIC read me on how to update the Jupiter or Neptune to the last version .

1931  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.4.1: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, Antminer S1-S5, Block v4 solo on: November 23, 2015, 05:54:59 PM
I have a brand new Avalon Nano 3 usb mining stick.
I've ser up p2pool (I don't think there's a problem with that)
I'm trying to start bfgminer with

bfgminer  -S ICA:/dev/bus/usb/005/012 -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:9332 -O userxxx:passxxx --set-device ICA:baud=115200 --set-device ICA:reopen=timeout --set-device ICA:work_division=1 --set-device ICA:fpga_count=1 --set-device ICA:probe_timeout=100 --set-device ICA:timing=0.22 --api-listen

Obviously bfminer finds /dev/bus/usb/005/012 (iv'e set group to lp, same result anyhow if i run bfgminer as root)
bfminer somehow does not connect properly to the miner and reports:

[2015-11-21 15:29:26] /dev/bus/usb/005/012: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

if I leave out the timeout parameter (ICA:probe_timeout=100) the error output becomes:

[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:15] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:15] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

The S3 was giving me the same thing Inappropriate some thing device then would shut down my miner or lock BFG or do what i said above so i know it saw it if it loaded for a berf second or two then gave some strange error then  either shut down the miner or locked up BFG to the point i had to close it out or do nothing at all .

i think i was getting this to

[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:14] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:15] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcgetattr failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
[2015-11-22 14:17:15] /dev/bus/usb/005/013: tcflush failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device

but it said some thing different , can't say now no more S3 or S5 or S1 .

Innosilicon's A4 Dominator    hint JK that hint is not to make Script miners just a hint maybe chips now . i know you won't make them, i respect that by not asking Smiley .

From what I understand they are talking about big IPO money like the Spondoolies SP50 yeah it will exist ..but in the manner of going to their IPO inverstors and big data hall first.

Just saying that is what it looks like to me. This is also true imho for the Alcheminer II project announcement on www.litecointalk.org

Hope I'm wrong, but I'm afraid Home mining is dead. (at least at my 13c kwh price that is in the USA) Sad

Sadly you  might be right they are gonna charge 4 or 5k for those miners to the public il bet and half that to the guys who invest that 1.5 mill haha and call that cost and cost is polly what tops 200 usd  or a tad more if that I'm being nice it's polly below 100 per miner to make one  , one day i some how see any miner to the public going for 4 or 5 k new, i got a feeling , hope im wrong and it won't be based off btc either like they claim now .I saw that Alcheminer II project announcement but it seems the A4 might top it the Alcheminer II price might be better . but with A4 there is some kind of  upgrade that gonna happen we can reuse the old Zeus miner stuff I think they were talking the same with the A3, so who knows maybe they will be nice to home user. time will tell .one other thing with PC when i sold them and made them, you all most never could buy direct you had to go thu some third party whole sale house for oem parts which is  all  any of it is, like ingrammicro http://www.ingrammicro.com/IMD_WASWeb/jsp/login/corporate.jsp i was really supersized when bitmain stopped making us buy two or three per buy .

and invert er got all the samples and kits  at no cost as well as some of the finished product but i guess that all changed they want you to foot the bill  then expect you to pay for the product no samples no kits etc , even if you give them a billion  . the way that comment they made sounded so no so called freebie not that it is free to start with, it's not , but no cost to them but to every one else pays.

so, no release date, weasel words, big numbers claimed and this, "buy in partnership of $1.5M?" ah yeah, we are all rich and pay for the fabrication...

Don't forget the miners to on top of helping to pay for fabrication . let the greed fly lmao
1934  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: November 23, 2015, 04:45:25 AM
This got me thu  if you pay 1.5 mill well it explains it self

Anyone who commits $1.5 million to this partnership will get to share our ASIC production masks or purchase miners at cost for your mining farms

you still pay for the miners man they better be cheap, i mean cheap if, i was to hand over 1.5 mil for something like that i expect some kind of free miners down the road not free i paid for them by doing  that, it  takes guts to go there and do that.
if some one else is helping foot the bill and puts large a mounts of cash into it and they want to charge more, kiss your ass goodbye.!!!

any way that's why I'm glad some one like you is here,I do hope you get some of these nice chips we keep seeing and reading about. I know you want nothing to do with that mess etc.

1935  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: November 23, 2015, 04:16:22 AM
Don't care at all about the A4 (scrypt, but y'all knew that) though I've been wanting to get my greasty mitts on some A3 for a while now.

wasn't  sure if you knew the A4 was  updated, May be soon we will  see something for the A3, i know you  want A3 chips and not A4  but some thing is up, if that was posted on the 17 th by  Innosilicon, we may see some thing on A3 stuff, soon, thu. i couldn't find anything for the A3 .

found this on the A3

 http://cryptomining-blog.com/6261-innosilicon-a4-dominator-scrypt-asics-might-be-coming-soon/

is also working on new A3 chips for SHA-256 that apparently offer less than 0.2 Watt per GHS, that's gonna top them all if it's less then 0.2 ghs, .1 something wide.
1936  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: .02 BTC Reward for Working Hashra Lunar Lander Firmware on: November 23, 2015, 02:59:55 AM
why not use minera it's better and does what hashra firmware does but does it better and can use both CG miner and BFG miner in minera Smiley . unless there was something in  hashra firmware youl liked you can't get any place else that's understandable Smiley .

Here's the link to minera :

Thanks, checking this out now. . . I liked the one that came with the lunar lander because you just plug it in, the ip shows up, you login and enter your pool info. Really EZ.

Minera is even better , you may have to set you miners some because it works with any miner that needs a stand alone controller as long as the software miners in it CGMINER BFMINER and two other miners froks off of CGMINER have support it works, and a way to use custom forks in a custom folder.

it all most the same way with minera to or can work like that use the guided set up  Smiley . it can auto detect just about any miner if done right . the software miners in minera just  need to support your miner

I renumber that well about Hashra Lunar Lander it picked them right up

well gl ill keep looking i know it's out there some place at some old link some one left up .

Here one is one of the lite coin post , like i said at one time i had every post book mark and the firmware etc till  people started getting ripped off then i had no need for it any more i knew no miners were coming from them.

https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=18096.0

these is any other post on the LC forums that tells you how to update it for the PIs, that's  how I knew .

That one is for the gridseed units. I'm looking for the lunar landar firmware. Hashra made different firmware distros for the different models that they did ship.

I know what your looking for i had all 5 or 6 version of there firmware at one time Smiley . that's the one for SHA256 miners they released but didn't release that a few got ripped  to .
