Silentarmy vs Optiminer results

I'm running ubuntu with 6x rx 470 8GB

With SA I averaged 520 sols/s using 700W
With Optiminer I'm averaging 660 sols/s using 740W

That is about a 27% increase in speed and this is all with the 15% dev fee included already.

I'm going to have to stick with Optiminer until SA releases a faster Linux miner.
Wow, 15% devfee is insane.  And so many whined about Claymore devfee, even when miner was 100% faster.  I was assuming the devfee on that miner was crazy high since he wouldn't tell you what it was.  Some report Optiminer as unstable, and it is Linux only and harder to set up. Are you comparing solves over time at pool?

The dev fee is a bit ridiculous but still not bad enough to not use his miner. I have been running the miner for about 4hrs now with with no issues. And I am using flypool to compare the two.

If it works, then go ahead and use it, if you get more profit after devfee, its better for you.  I would try it if it were on Windows.  I am just observing no one has complained about the 15% devfee, yet everyone complained about 2.5% when there were a ton of slow, unstable, and/or pool locked miners at the time.

That's why i haven't tired it . and I'm not going to . I wasn't complaining about claymore  fee so much as i was give us a choice or way around it. he did !!! . imo  to late. and his miner at the time was the only working windows miners worth using and after he put in the off flag for the fee i left it on.  ).

maybe there should be an official silentarmy thread? v5 says they were gonna go for windows support but between the bullshit of claymore jackin for beats and im sure getting bugs and improvements + windows support it will take a minute. just trollin

down load one of these

the latest version is  SILENTARMY-v5-Cygwin64-r6

984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RX 470 are even cheaper now on: November 13, 2016, 03:22:40 AM
they are trying to lower stock of 470s because AMD is not producing 470s anymore - they are producing 470D now which has lower power consumption... honestly if your going to buy a lot of 470's maybe its better to wait for the stores to get their 470D stock..............................   470D is already released by AMD but most sellers wont get stock until they get their current 470 stock down

I thought it was because of nv lowing prices but cool either way the price goes down.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: best scrypt mining for profits? on: November 13, 2016, 02:42:35 AM
the only problem with multipool  and this one https://hash-to-coins.com/index.php is you have to sell off the coins and convert them your self .cleave and Zpools do it for you , if  you don't mine doing that there not bad sites. i used to like selling off coins till i got a lot of useless ones, i couldn't use or were worthless because i waited to long . cleave and zpool convert to btc as you mine and don't forget nicehash .

What is their stratum endpoint? I can't find it after 30 sec looking around www.miningrigrentals.com

i made miner and tried to rent it to help this what they give you .

equihashminer -s us-east01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 workername -u

If your software is not listed: mining software follows the above command line example, select one that includes the algorithm you are mining and check its readme on how to select the algorithm into the command line.

Please allow up to 3 minutes for your miner to establish its connection

Please use at least one backup server in your local config (if possible):

What kind of hashrate would I see on a Radeon 370 with this?

at least 40 to 45 mine do in claymore little less but not much.

r7370 all default setting i even tired over clocking didn't seem to do anything. I restarted it before the screen shot but it stays about like you see it Smiley.

I may have a power problem two cards stay in the low 80 avg and one dropped to 54 or lower and is avging around 50 . playing with power limit looked like it made it worse.

How can i get Silentarmy running on windows?
https://mega.nz/#F!iwYQhI6S!2vl0D3jz3fH3-bZxHUurBg

Download cigwin 64bit when asked for packets search python3 interpreter install and run from start.bat included in zip file(don't forget to edit...or not Smiley
Is python3 interpreter sufficient or should I install recommended dependencies?

I installed everything it recommended after selecting the 6mb python package, it works fine.

Install everything that is recommend or you might not like the results if you don't . it's a fast a install or was for  me .
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v5: Zcash miner, 115 sol/s on R9 Nano, 70 sol/s on GTX 1070 on: November 12, 2016, 09:28:56 PM
my 470 does 80 or better with modded bios drivers might be a problem , to test it use the windows default AMD drivers  it downloads on install it may work better with them. or other drivers .
Your setting is about 1300 core and 2000 memory?
I have only ~77 per rx470 4GB 1100/2000 with BIOSmod

I guess you would say mine are doing whats yours are ? .

Code:
Total 238.9 sol/s [dev0 78.6, dev1 84.0, dev2 81.6] 73 shares
Total 238.9 sol/s [dev0 80.0, dev1 82.9, dev2 82.0] 73 shares
Total 238.7 sol/s [dev0 80.8, dev1 81.7, dev2 82.7] 73 shares
Total 237.0 sol/s [dev0 77.7, dev1 82.4, dev2 80.5] 73 shares
Total 236.8 sol/s [dev0 75.6, dev1 82.0, dev2 81.1] 73 shares

I think that could be better if i knew how to . that GPU load isn't right .I tired over clocking didn't seem to do much so i left how it is .
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v5: Zcash miner, 115 sol/s on R9 Nano, 70 sol/s on GTX 1070 on: November 12, 2016, 08:54:30 PM
Holy Sh*t I canīt believe me eyes at the moment, but my power consumption analyzer works accurate...!

1x R9 290x
3x R9 Nano
(lowered voltage/clocks/power limit because of f*ckinī high electricity rates here in Germany)

Before/Claymore
~340 Sol @ 600W

Now
~390 Sol @ 530W
or alternatively
~375 Sol @ 470W  Cool
(canīt decide which attitude I should choose at last ^^)

Thats just sensationally!!

I Knew when i run SA with Ubuntu, i knew then nothing could touch it  once it was tweaked,  so i waited for windows .

My msi rx 470 4gbs are performans slightly worse on v5 than claymore's. Same roms. What are your experiences.

Claymore: 65-75 h/per card
V5: 60-70 h/per card.

my 470 does 80 or better with modded bios drivers might be a problem , to test it use the windows default AMD drivers  it downloads on install it may work better with them. or other drivers .

How to install silentarmy windows?

https://mega.nz/#F!iwYQhI6S!2vl0D3jz3fH3-bZxHUurBg

download SILENTARMY-v5-Cygwin64-r5

download this

https://cygwin.com/setup-x86_64.exe

then unzip the SILENTARMY-v5-Cygwin64-r5

and read the

WINDOWS.txt

it tells you just what to install from Cygwin64 you don't need it all unless you want it, o yea install anything the program recommends after you pick the package or it  might turn out not so good or errors .

thanks top.

I'm not seeing that much difference using the win version from CZM v4. Currently getting about 71-75 h/s

This is my bat file

c:\cygwin64\bin\python3.4m silentarmy --instances=1 -c stratum+tcp://eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u t1Yg2NeHCDTNMozwRhf6UxQXSLJQSrGhtgX -p z --use 0

I have a i5-4590 CPU, 8 GB RAM and a R9 280 non X GPU (using 1200 GPU clock and 1500 Memory clock).  Is there anything i can modify in the bat to possible improve my speeds?

Sorry if this is obvious for others but i'm kinda new to running linux stuff on windows

you may not the only difference is no fee .
