1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: January 13, 2023, 02:58:40 AM
@Boafeng, @bisdak and the other boxing experts in the forum. What would a victory bring for Benavidez? Does this make him the next mandatory challenger vs. Canelo Alvarez? There were some articles that mentioned Canelo wants a rematch vs. Bivol but Bivol wants a light heavyweight unification fight vs. Beterbiev. This might be head shaking and it might make it appear that Canelo is afraid to risk his championship status in a fight against Benavidez hehe.

What are your speculations or predictions?
1922  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com | Futuristic Dice Platform 🎲 on: January 13, 2023, 02:15:17 AM
Dear users, I apologize for the long absence from the topic, most of the problematic cases will be resolved today.  Smiley

Also, please be prepared for the fact that if you have submitted a withdrawal request, you will have to go through KYC (bonus accounts).

I want to be clear - since the launch of no deposit bonuses, we have had many problems, some of which we underestimated. The first and main problem is multi-accounts, as soon as the user loses the bonus, he simply registers a new account and starts again (and this, unfortunately, can continue indefinitely). These problem cases lead to constant review and prevent us from focusing on the implementation of our planned updates.
It's a good thing that you are resolving the problems As soon as you can since I myself is expecting that this will happen. There are too many abusers lurking out and multi accounting is one way that they can abuse the no deposit bonus as it happened to many casino. It can surely improve the traffic from your casino but it doesn't mean it can sustain you long term given that whenever you remove the no deposit bonus, those abusers will simply leave out on your casino. I'm guessing that you will soon change the bonus rules to have the necessary growth you need in developing and implementing updates.

A no deposit bonus? I have never seen a no deposit bonus in Neodice before, however, there are 3 gamified faucets that can be abused very easily if someone has a lot of extra time and the patience to play the faucets until it reaches minimum withdrawal amount of $20. I mentioned this in the thread before but someone replied that no one would this because the amount given by the faucet is very small. It appears he underestimated human cheaters hehehe.
1923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who thinks DCG / Genesis / Grayscale / Barry are bad actors? on: January 13, 2023, 01:46:11 AM
So the Winklevoss twins on their Twitter posted what has happened with Gemini Earn, Genesis and 3AC. It actually all boils down to GBTC.

Remember when the premium was very high. It was free money to put BTC into the fund and collect the premium. They loaned 3AC those bitcoins which they kept the premium and in turn GBTC had a higher market cap and more money for Barry. Everyone was happy, making money for taking no risk pretty much until the premium magically disappeared and created all this mess.

Now that I think of it, Barry really should be under investigation for this entire ordeal which created this entire mess.

Are you talking about this tweet?

https://mobile.twitter.com/cameron/status/1612806661508567042

I think that it might be much more than GBTC's premium that magically disappeared that created this problem. According to Cameron Winklevoss there were public lies, private lies and accounting fraud on the side of Barry Silbert.

However, it appears that Barry is winning hehe. Winklevoss twins appear to have a case on Barry but do they want to take this to court? They might not want to do this because it might implicate themselves. The SEC is watching hehehe.

The Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday charged crypto firms Genesis and Gemini with allegedly selling unregistered securities in connection with a high-yield product offered to depositors.

Gemini might be the next exchange to bite the dust?
1924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: January 13, 2023, 01:25:08 AM
Do Kwon might have done it correctly because he only scammed his users and his fellow ponzi schemers hehe. It is speculated that he is in Singapore.
Various media have reported on Do kown hiding locations in Singapore and Serbia, maybe your explanation above is very logical because without the involvement of important people in the loss case, the case will be handled slowly and may not be prioritized. Even if the reason is due to the extradition process because South Korea does not have an extradition agreement with the Council of Europe, any efforts can be communicated with other countries to help the process of catching fraud perpetrators even if they are in the territory of other countries. This case is very different from FTX, SBF has been arrested even though he is in another country and of course the role of the victim from important people is very influential to emphasize that this case must be resolved immediately.

I hate to promote Governmental overreach, but Yes, maybe the USA needs to file criminal charges against Do Kwon too and seek his extradition..

There might be no need, I reckon. Do Kwon did not take money from anyone important. He only took the money of ordinary American people. Seeking for his extradition might begin in 5 years if the government remembers him or it might also never happen heheehe.
1925  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: January 12, 2023, 05:08:05 AM
Update: According to the bankruptcy attorney, FTX managed to recover 5 billion $[1] in both cash and liquid cryptocurrencies and securities.

[1] https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/01/11/ftx-has-recovered-over-5b-in-assets-bankruptcy-attorney-says/

However, the article also mentions that FTX still remains short the amount of what the exchange owes their users and their creditors.

Sam also tweeted something which appears to show that he wants to fixthis problem. He is clearly doing this to avoid imprisonment hehe. However, what are the chances that Sam does not go to prison and FTX is given a bailout similar to the bailout given to Silvergate bank? Sam's parents are lawyers who are politically connected to the Democratic party,

yup my sense is that is and always has been the best recovery scenario for customers.  I think that them being made substantially whole is a real possibility; I think we were possibly a few weeks away from getting there in November.  (US is solvent, should make everyone whole.)

1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: January 12, 2023, 04:33:07 AM
It appears the quickness and speed of how long the regulators act on a case also depends on who were scammed by the scammers. Sam Bankrupt-Fried has chosen the wrong people to scam hehehehe. According to some news articles, the investors that Sam scammed included Robert Kraft the owner of the New England Patriots, Tom Brady the quarterback of Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his super model wife Gisselle Bünchen, Joe Tsai the cofounder of Alibaba and other sports celebrities.

Do Kwon might have done it correctly because he only scammed his users and his fellow ponzi schemers hehe. It is speculated that he is in Singapore.
1927  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: More platforms will bite the dust? on: January 12, 2023, 03:26:52 AM
Silvergate Capital Corp. shares plunged after the bank said the crypto industry’s meltdown triggered a run on deposits, prompting the company to sell assets at a steep loss and fire 40% of its staff.

Customers withdrew about $8.1 billion of digital-asset deposits from the bank during the fourth quarter, which forced it to sell securities and related derivatives at a loss of $718 million, according to a statement Thursday.
Huh. And here I though one bitcoin = one bitcoin. But it turns out if a customer deposits one bitcoin, the price of bitcoin in fiat falls, and they then try to withdraw that one bitcoin, suddenly that one bitcoin isn't worth one bitcoin anymore and the exchange needs to sell a bunch of other assets to let that one bitcoin be worth one bitcoin again? Isn't that weird! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

In other words, they were doing what every other insolvent exchange over the past few months has been doing, and were running a fractional reserve system while using customers' deposits to gamble on various investments for their own profit, loan out to questionable third parties for their own profit, or maybe even just spend outright like FTX were doing.

Hehehe, however, it appears that they will not be one of the next platforms to bite the dust. Silvergate bank recently might have received a bail out of $4.3 billion from the Federal Home Loan bank of San Francisco. This occured before the news article from Yahoo Finance.

It appears everyone is late on this update. However, Silvergate bank might still be a takeover target especially because of the $4.3 billion that they are presently holding hehehehe.

At December 31, 2022, the Company held $4.3 billion of short-term Federal Home Loan Bank advances.

Close your trades, Jim Cramer is beginning to suggest to everyone that the market might pump for the next 2 months.

Why is Jim doing this to the community?

Charts suggest the market could rally for the next couple of months, Jim Cramer says

CNBC’s Jim Cramer on Wednesday said that the markets’ recent gains could become a sustained rally.

1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: January 11, 2023, 04:07:54 AM
There are some differences in odds of the Oscar awards in different categories. For best actor, the Golden Globe awards have Austin Butler as a very big favorite for his performance as an actor in a drama role in Elvis. The odds for him in the Oscar awards is 4.00.
I suspect Austin Butler being such a big favorite has something with Brendan Fraser saying that he won't attend the Golden Globe ceremony even if he gets nominated because he claimed to be sexually assaulted back in 2003 by the former Golden Globes president Philip Berk so I guess that's their way of getting back at him.

Colin Farrell is another very big favorite for his acting in a comedy in the Banshees of Inisherin with odds of 1.09, however, his odds for best actor in the Oscar awards is 3.00.
In this case, odds are so different because Oscar has only one best actor category so there he has to go against Brendan Fraser.

Ke Huy Quan won the Golden Globe for best supporting actor for the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once. The first name he mentioned in his thank you speech was Steven Spielberg and Spielberg acknowledged him. Are you scratching your head? You should watch Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom again hehehehehe. Ke Huy Quan was the actor playing the role of Short Round.
1930  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽🎮🎲 Coinplay.com | Brand New Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: January 11, 2023, 03:15:10 AM
@CoinPlay_official. I was looking for articles about Sam Bankman-Fried and how high is the chance that he might go to prison and serve a sentence and I found this prediction market created in Polymarket.

https://polymarket.com/event/will-sbf-be-federally-indicted-by-eoy/will-sbf-be-federally-indicted-by-eoy

The liquidity is very low, however. But might this be something Coinplay wants to offer in the site? I am quite certain there are some frequent gamblers in the community who will like to bet money on this when the trial begins on October.
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT Speculation on: January 11, 2023, 02:41:40 AM
Good news for NFT speculators and collectors. However, the article also mentions that the marketplace does not support buying and selling of NFTs yet but this might be a signal that China will begin reversing their policies on digital assets beginning with NFTs.

After years of hostility towards the digital asset sector, China appears to be taking steps toward embrace nonfungible tokens.

The website for the China Digital Trading Platform (CDEX), a Chinese state-sanctioned secondary trading platform for NFTs and other digital assets, launched on Jan. 1.

Source https://thedefiant.io/china-launches-nft-platform

Also, if you are holding an NFT project with founders that has rugpulled, this might also be good news hehehe. I speculate we might see those founders suddenly appear again with new updates and tell their holders that they never rugpulled or never left the project hehehehehee.

A criminal complaint was unsealed today in federal court in Brooklyn charging Aurelien Michel, a French national residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with defrauding purchasers of “Mutant Ape Planet” NFTs, a type of digital asset, of more than $2.9 million in cryptocurrency.  The defendant was arrested last night at John F. Kennedy International Airport.  His initial appearance is scheduled for this afternoon before United States Magistrate Judge James R. Cho.

As part of the scheme, NFTs were marketed to purchasers, who were falsely promised numerous rewards and benefits designed to increase demand for, and the value of, their newly acquired NFTs.  After selling out of the NFTs, the purchasers were “rug pulled” – a cryptocurrency scam in which a developer attracts investors, but pulls out before the project is complete, leaving buyers with a worthless asset – as none of the promised benefits were provided.  Instead, millions worth of the NFT purchasers’ cryptocurrency was diverted for Michel’s personal benefit.

1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask! on: January 11, 2023, 01:20:43 AM
@franky1. According to some people in social media, Barry Silbert was the first person to have loaned money to Sam using only FTT as the collateral. I reckon after this act, it might have become an acceptable form of collateral for other future creditors of Sam also.

In any case, after everything we have witnessed with Barry, he should have bought only Bitcoin and Ethereum during 2016 and held them instead of pumping Ethereum Classic and those other altcoins. He also caused his own problem by creating funds that cannot be redeemed and other schemes for all of those altcoins.

1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 10, 2023, 04:15:20 AM
It appears we have another boxer who will be very exciting similar to how Manny Pacman was during his challenges in different weight divisions. However, Naoya Inoue's mission is to be the first male boxer to unify all championships in 2 different divisions. According to this article he mentioned that he will be in the ring again on April or May! I speculate him to challenge Akhmadaliev first, before a unification superfight against Stephen Fulton on December.

He also mentioned that his body can reach the limit to featherweight.

Naoya Inoue became the ninth fighter to unify all four major titles in boxing's four-belt era.

Inoue is now looking to become the only male fighter to accomplish the feat in two weight classes.

"I believe I'm going to aim for it," Inoue said. "We'll need to develop a thorough plan."

The Japanese star will be heading up to 122-pounds, after knocking out British fighter Paul Butler in eleven rounds to unify the IBF, WBO, WBA, WBC world bantamweight titles.

Inoue plans to return on a date in April or May of the coming year.

The world titles at 122-pounds are owned by two undefeated fighters, Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev and Stephen Fulton of the United States - with each boxer holding two belts.

1936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: January 10, 2023, 02:48:32 AM
@DooMAD. Someone in social media called Marco Polo discovered something thst might make it very doubtful that Sam Bankrupt-Fried would serve a 115 year sentence. This might also be one of the reasons why he is so brave in declaring his not guilty plea.

What does this imply for Caroline and Gary Wang if Sam is judged innocent? Will it be Caroline and Gary did not kill themselves?

At the time of this writing, SBF has two attorneys in his criminal case (22-cr-00673) in the SDNY: Mark Cohen and Christian Everdell. The duo from Cohen & Gressler LLP represented sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell

While SBF’s criminal case has generated the most headlines, Marco Polo noticed a familial connection between one of the entities suing SBF on the civil side—the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC)—and Everdell. Indeed, Everdell’s wife is a “Senior Counsel” in the NY office of the SEC, the very office suing SBF

Source https://marcopolousa.substack.com/p/pillow-talk-benefitting-sbf

What are the assurances that Everdell's wife will not relay information to her husband about the prosecutor's side of the case?

Also, this is head shaking. What is this telling us? There is a possbility for a postponed trial to an unknown date?

Prosecutors are telling lawyers connected to @SBF_FTX fraud investigation the case is so sprawling that it could exhaust resources of the southern district since it includes potential bribery, campaign contribution violations, market manipulation on top of theft & fraud

1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: January 09, 2023, 03:46:56 AM
Oscars are not really a wagering thing if you ask me, maybe I am wrong but isn't it basically decided already. Like unless something shocking happens, the fabelsmans should win it, spielberg should get the director and Cate Blanchett for the female and Brandon Fraser for the male. Those four categories are basically locked already and nobody is expecting anything else. Could it be ever possible to get shocked with some different result?
In some categories there are obvious favorites, but big surprises are still possible. Few years ago Chadwick Boseman was a huge favorite (mainly because he died prior the ceremony) but in the end Anthony Hopkins won the award (well deserved win I must add) so I wouldn't say that betting doesn't make sense. After all, there are many categories without a clear favorite which makes it more interesting and worth betting.

Yes, was that when black lives matter was always on the news? The members of the academy might have decided not to put more fuel on the issue by not voting for the black actor hehe.

The last Oscar awards also had some surprises. Best picture favorite last year was Temple of the Dog but it was Coda that won, there was also the year when the movie Green Book won for best picture instead of the favorite Roma.

In any case, this look for changes in the odds after the Golden Globe awards on January 10. Some of the big changes could be something similar to trading signals.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gervonta Davis VS Hector Luis Garcia SAT, JAN 07, 2023 on: January 09, 2023, 02:53:40 AM
Everyone is talking about Tank Davis, however, it appears that much of us fans of boxing in the forum did not notice a very important fight for the IBF welterweight division. This is Boots Ennis vs. Karen Chukhadzhyan for the IBF interim welterweight championship.

Why the interim welterweight championship for IBF? This is because Errol Spence cannot make a mandatory defense for his IBF championship because he has another mandatory defense for his WBC championship. The IBF is also very strict and force Errol Spence to make his next mandatory defense against Boots Ennis or give the championship to Ennis.

I am very excited for this because I have told everyone many times that Boots Ennis is the boxer who can win against the kings of welterweight, Spence and Crawford.

In any case, my prediction is Boots will knockout Karen in round 1.

That's what they say, Boots is feared by many in the division. High risk for Karen. Boots stepping up against Spence or Crawford will be a bigger fight, but he can't be that comfortable at 147 against the top contender may at 154. There is just no offer for money to make but I think he'll get there after Ortiz.

This is not the highlight because Tank is the main event. Too late to create a thread.

I am not quite certain why anyone would consider if Chukhadzhyan is high risk or not because he is certainly a type of opponent who is below Boots' previous 2 opponents. He might also not be the main event, however, I reckon that he might give a better show than Tank Davis hehe. I speculate Hector Garcia might make it difficult for Davis and this fight might end with a decision. My bet is over 7.5 rounds.

It was Davis who win, Garcia didn't make it to the 8th rounds as he complain that he can't see. By the time of the stoppage, he was behind the scorecard of the 3 judges, so this win setup Davis for a Ryan Garcia fight sometime in the next couple of months.

In the Ennis vs Chukhadzhyan the outcome was not surprising, although Chukhadzhyan extended Ennis the full distance for the first time in his career. So no statement win for him. Nevertheless a win is a win.

It was the 9th round. The official time was it had 13 seconds in round 9 before it was stopped. I have won my bet on over 7.5 rounds.

I am not quite certain why Hector Garcia's team stopped the fight. He did not appear to be tired although he  appeared affected by the last punches from Tank in round 8, however, I do not reckon it was enough to stop the fight.

Boots Ennis won but agreed, it was a no statement win. He also does not deserve to fight Errol Spence after a weak performance.
1939  Economy / Speculation / Re: Michael Saylor and Bitcoin or Michael Saylor and altcoin? on: January 09, 2023, 01:57:10 AM
I think ETH is not really that much of a risk at all, it is actually the second biggest coin and for a while it was so close to bitcoin as well in marketcap, couldn't flip it but it was close.

No matter how stupid someone thinks Saylor is, the man just invests in Bitcoin in various ways and is responsible for his actions, which is the hallmark of adults and responsible people. Regardless of the current price of Bitcoin, in the long term it is a better investment than any altcoin, especially the one you mention, and especially after it moved to POS. This made the centralized project even more closed, and also subject to various internal manipulations that could result in a disaster at any moment.

Furthermore, do you know what gives the project its size? The fact that Vitalik does not even know what the max supply of his token is, and although he said it was 100 million, it is currently 122 million, and now he claims that it will still be 150 million. In other words, x6 more tokens in circulation put it in second place by market capitalization, which is pure manipulation and nothing more.

If I am being honest with you, I do not think Michael Saylor is stupid for investing in bitcoin, however, he says many stupid things similar to what is shown in this video. This was taken from an interview when bitcoin was trading above $50k.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wIhTGB3wqV0&embeds_euri

If many people followed his advice, they would have lost more than 50% if they invested all of their savings, they would also be paying interest rates on mortgages and loans while having a 50% loss.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin developer @lukedashjr's wallet was hacked on: January 09, 2023, 01:03:00 AM
This is another skeptical me argument hehehe.

"Don't trust, verify", remember? And then why trust somebody's claims, no matter who it is, if the things just don't add up?!

This might also be a way to prepare for an exit from holding bitcoin without being persecuted by the community? Claim he was hacked, mix the coins, keep the coins then sell on the next bull market when he has 10x of the present value. This is $20 million and very much enough for his retirement.

I love the mix of drama, conspiracy and price speculation Cheesy Grin Grin
One thing that still looks odd is that all this shit show goes on only on Twitter. Nothing on Mastodon and nothing in here.
Another thing that must be cleared up is what was his actual "cold storage" setup.
And claiming that there's a CoinJoin in a tx that's actually clean...
...yeah, the things just don't add up. And I've got some logical explanations for this and that, still, far from enough.

I consider the hacking of 2 Twitter accounts easier than hacking into a cold storage.
The boating accident theory is also a not-too-bad idea.

Hehehehe I am happy than someone does not feel offended or antagonized with my replies.

In any case, similar to some of you the more time I spend thinking and speculating about this, the more I cannot believe or understand how a bitcoin developer and an expert in the cryptospace had his coins in cold storage stolen from him.
