1941  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Wearing Double signature (Shan85) on: May 17, 2023, 04:54:18 PM
While many are struggling in getting accepted in any campaign for which BCR and Duelbits are great campaigns, shan did wasted the opportunity that was given to him by these two great managers and as well as companies.

With so many members to handle, campaign managers might find it difficult if a member makes the switch before the tally.
AFAIK, they do some random checking for all of the participants. But then shan took advantage of it and he thought that no one will notice it but bbigtart seen it.

Thumbs up for Royse and Hhampuz for figuring out such a scam!
It was figured out by bbigtart and then Royse and Hhampuz responded quickly --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5280190.msg62253554#msg62253554
1942  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we headed to a nowhere economic direction ? on: May 17, 2023, 01:09:11 PM
In my country over the past few months, the interest rates have been declining. Our government aims to stimulate the economy through a set of financial policies but there seems to be less effective than before. Under the backdrop of the global economic recession, no government will be able to outperform others easily. The dilemma we are facing now is that we are actually losing whether to spend the few money we have at hands or to save it in banks for less and less interest. Real estate is collapsing and even the rich people have no options to invest.
Not in all places that real estate is collapsing. There are certain areas where these properties are going down but not for all. I still see in some of the areas that have been skyrocketing. Yes, this is true and I don't understand why it's like that. Maybe all about these capitalists that have been predicting the prices.

But I'd still believe that real estate is no doubt one of the best investments. So, if it's collapsing where you are right now and you've got piles of cash ready for investments then you may take some of those lands and houses.

Personally I have invested in cryptocurrencies but due to the current market, there is no sign that I will profit any time soon, so I guess the result of the investment remains unknown. Although I still have steady income from my job, uncertainties will not diminish as I hope for a stable feed for my family and for savings as much as possible. What is your situation in your country ? Are you going to experience some economic turmoil as well ? Please let me know.
What cryptos did you invest? If it's with Bitcoin, there is no doubt that you'll take profit soon but you need to be patient. In my observation to most economies right now, the first world countries are still fine, the same goes with second world countries but some of them are experiencing hard inflation.

And for the developing countries, it's known that many of them are still struggling due to the incidents that's happening globally.

What a start for the Lakers and Nuggets first quarter. Jokic making nearly a double-double. They've got 37-25 and that's in favor of the Nuggets.

It seems that everyone who's saying that this first game will be taken by Nuggets are correct. But we'll see, the match hasn't ended yet.

Well, the 2nd quarter has started.
It's not over yet. We've seen big leads in the playoffs where the opposing team was able to come back and win the game. So, while I would like the Nuggets to win the series and every game, I cannot be too confident because the Lakers are also a strong team.

So far, we are witnessing what seems like a blowout game in favor of the Nuggets. If they manage to maintain a lead of at least 20 points, I would confidently say that game 1 belongs to the home team. Lakers fans, including my friends on social media, seem relatively silent at the moment.
It was a one-sided game.

Although the ending score was just close to each other and Nuggets won by 6 points lead. The entirety of the game from all of the quarters, we have seen how dominating the Nuggets are.

Ham should have been aggressive even before the first and second quarters. He's just let Davis be on the bench when Jokic wasn't inside the ring. Well, for them this is an experience and it's possible that they won't let the 2nd game be still for the Nuggets.

Perhaps the Lakers are just overrated.
Not really. They also did well but it was just that Nuggets was on a quick play and the Lakers have to adopt with that.

Do you think that anybody in one of the players he mentioned in that video would like to really go to Taiwan? Cheesy
Who knows? Hehe..

Maybe a player that's already old and one who's no longer getting any offers. We don't know that there will be some of them but those that he has mentioned, they're still good with their current teams and offers.

1945  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie should learn from this fast confirmed transactions tricks on: May 16, 2023, 11:28:52 PM
I've been using it for a long time even before this network problems that we're experiencing and they really are reliable.

But not at all times that it will get you accelerated because sometimes there are transactions that have higher sizes and they can't do anything much about it.

Usually, the main requirement is just to pay a fee of 10 sats/byte and above and those are the type of transactions they'll help you get confirmed. And then, it's always best to practice to check how much the recommended fees through websites like mempool so that you're aware if there's a traffic or none.
1946  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammers on the forum. on: May 16, 2023, 09:09:29 PM
Sorry with your lose OP.

When you're going to purchase such, there are P2P markets that have an escrow protection and just like in the forum. We've got the escrow where you can avail their service for a very low fee like 1%-5% and these escrows are reputable.

--> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

You'll never go wrong with them.

Or, you should have just gone to an exchange and did the transaction there. Never do any transaction in Telegram, scammers live there.

Team nigma has a lack of every thing imagine MC now becomes part of the OG which is really suitable for him because the OG can really give a good team coordination to make sure their offline MC makes a good items for initiation for the next move is their snow balling.
Nope mate, MC isn't part now of OG. He just played for OG on the Berlin major as their stand-in offlane but he's still with Nigma.

Check this out. The current stand-in for OG is their position 4 for Taiga -> Aramis. All in all, they've got still the same roster but just that stand-in for their support as seen on that page.

MC is still part of Nigma and they'll play for Division 2 on the month of June.

1948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Willing my bitcoin to my children on: May 16, 2023, 10:32:29 AM
Investment with bitcoin is good but it have a disadvantages when death occur, bitcoin is not a property which your children can inherits like other properties that is mark able, I notice that with all the I have being investing in bitcoin if mistakenly I return to my maker without by children knowing my bitcoin wallet security password, that means that my bitcoin will remain in my wallet till eternity, this gives me a nightmare, my kids are three and I want to have different wallet of bitcoin and WILL my bitcoin to them with the password of each of the wallet. Because my investment in bitcoin I will make sure that they have know bitcoin because of the wallets I will issue to them, because if they are not willing to learn bitcoin I can't force them to learn and understand bitcoin, but when I'm no more the will know the important of knowing the basic of bitcoin,  but I'm not planning to die now, but we don't what tomorrow will result out in the future.
This is easy, just make a last will testament that includes all of the instructions and etc. But the harder part is to whom you're gonna let them guide if they don't want to learn what Bitcoin is.

Yes, we don't want to die now so why think of this as you're stressing yourself out with this. This could even put you more into a stressful day that shall take some emotions for you that can trigger your mental health.

Honestly, there's such a lot of ways to do this like hiring a reputable lawyer so that it's sure that it will be given to your kids.
1949  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How old are you now in bitcoin investment? on: May 15, 2023, 09:37:32 PM
I think around 2015-2016 so that's giving an estimate of 7-8 years of being on this market and as an investor I've learned a lot.

Just as mk4 has said, that also made me literate on how I'll invest my money. So we can think of that bitcoin isn't just a piece of tech, not just a payment method, not just all about blockchain, not just a store of value.

But it has also helped and enforced us on how be finance savvy for which I've applied on my investing techniques into other ventures and investment vehicles.
1950  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you interpret low trading volumes that we see lately? on: May 15, 2023, 06:18:01 PM
There could be many factors to think of but one of it is that it's possible that the typical traders are just quite off and don't want to trade lately. Like it's better not to trade at all at these times and will just wait for what's going to happen for Bitcoin.

No one will actually ever know the main reason why volumes have gone low lately. But, it's not going to be the same as that, just like people that are in the business. Sometimes, it's a good time and sometimes it's seen that the market is slack.
1951  Economy / Economics / Re: How do banks generate income? on: May 15, 2023, 10:21:14 AM
Yeah, the transaction fees.

While we're aching from the transaction fees for Bitcoin, there goes the banks that have been charging a lot for the transfers that we do especially the overseas.

Also don't forget about the maintaining balance, we're obliged to reach that threshold and not to pass on that or else we'll be charged.

This is what makes financial institutions very wealthy.
And another thing is that they're backed by the government so being wealthy and at the same time powerful is what they are.
1952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My experience with memorizing seed phrases on: May 15, 2023, 08:18:15 AM
IIRC, someone has already suggested this in the forum and that was like a year or two ago. I can't really remember but I have seen it here.

I wouldn't do it and that's why I admire those that have a great brain and memory that can do such but still, do some backups as you'll never know what will happen tomorrow if you'll get knocked or what but hopefully, nothing fatal will happen to those people that does this.

As I get older, my memory is becoming weaker so this option is a no for me but those that can really do it, don't forget to strengthen your memory through eating foods that benefits your brain with.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: May 15, 2023, 06:05:36 AM
The balance patch for Dota dropped just before the DPC Tour 3 kicks off within a few hours, and Quinn's heroes (Void Spirit and Pangolier) got nerfed, but that'll only mean he can shift to other good heroes like Puck, Leshrac, and Ember Spirit.  Tongue
The DPC tour 3 is in and I've just watched the first ever game for the SEA region, it's Talon and Team SMG. Both teams have got those heroes you've mentioned, Void Spirit and Pangolier.

Well, it's Mikoto's Void Spirit and that was an easy game for them while Midone played for the Pangolier. As for Quinn, he's honestly got a lot of heroes and this is going to be an easy adjustment for him if those heroes that have been nerfed doesn't look good on him.

3 matches today for the SEA region. There goes the first match and then next matches in particular order will be, Execration vs Bleed and then Blacklist vs Boom.

Just for a note, Bleed's new coach is Misery.
1954  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the difference between banks and big whales in crypto? on: May 14, 2023, 11:43:25 PM
Banks are earning big profit from our deposits, they earn bigger than the interest that we get from our deposit because they put a bigger interest rate through thier borrower's or lenders, i think bank is not too far from big whales in crypto they buy or collect coins in dip and they sell in bull and they earn bigger from the holders that sell at loss  they are almost the same or what? What dou you think?
Whales aren't financial institutions but they're like just us that are individual players on this market. While the banks are financial institutions and they've got a lot of source aside from the deposits that they get from their customers for which will be used for loaning.

As the whales, we don't really know what they do in real life. They could also be the banks, another financial institution but we'll never know who they really are.

From what we've known, they're just the typical big investors that do manipulate and influence the market and what they do isn't different from what we do of buying low and selling high.

There's difference as we don't know exactly the identity of the whales. We are just speculating on who they are.
Also, as mentioned, they seem to be moving on their own as individual players. So we can't determine where they are heading next.
Which means, they don't have concrete path to go to, their movement is more fluid as it depends on the market scenario.
Whereas, banking institutions have their own target before they get into this market as the decision is not only handle by one person but a group of individuals.
Hence, the time of getting decision is not the same with whales. They can't decide on their own as they have others to think about.
I think if it's all about path, they've got clear paths on what they want to take. They're eager to just win their trades and take over those weak hands money as they really are the targets of them.

And for a whale, I am sure that they won't boast that they're a whale even those known crypto personalities that have been known to be holding a lot. They don't boast themselves that they're a whale or they can be a par with the assets or be considered wealthy as a banking institution.

There's really a huge difference on them but comparisons are way far from each other.

1956  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of maintaining wallet on: May 13, 2023, 10:09:04 PM
Those who are running long term investment, always have to undergo the active maintenance of seed phase, password, device for instance if your phone lost, you have to look for a way to restored everything into your new device, most people lost their seed phase, private keys and wallets that's why I have come up with little ideas especially if you're this carefree person.
First time to hear such maintenance about wallets and how you'll keep your seeds. You don't have to do that, you keep the seeds/private keys and you're good. Let the wallet maintain itself as it has the devs while you focus on how you keep those important seeds you own.

Once you own bitcoin wallet or other crypto currency, thinking of how long you can maintain your wallet follows this steps,
First send your seed phase or private keys to your emails, also use them to compose a little song only can listen anytime, write it down in your diaries, and makes sure have a google doc to save your wallet keys and other information.
Why would you send it to emails? That's making your keys at risk. You don't do that or else you'll regret that forever when it happens to you. Hackers are also smart these days, they might analyze what these words are that have been sent to an email.

But if you think that's safe for you, good luck but what's safe to me is to never associate it to any email and keep it offline and plainly in a piece of paper/card board or in an engraved dog tag.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep hodling your Bitcoin on: May 13, 2023, 01:04:45 PM
I think for now many investors who have been strong in investing in Bitcoin even though it is experiencing a decline but they still maintain the Bitcoin they have because they already know that Bitcoin still has a long way to go and will return to get the highest value as it happened last year, for those of us who have been in the crypto world for a long time, when it experiences a decline then we will add our investment if the capital we have is still a lot,
I'm one of those folks that you've described and yes, it's true that we've been holding and keeping our patience because we know what's coming and what's up ahead on this path.

The losers are the impatient people and have to sell because they're in panic. But if they have to sell because there's an unforeseen circumstance wherein the bitcoin they hold is the solution for it to solve that circumstance that has come to them unexpectedly, that's okay.

I'm sure only new investors are worried when the Bitcoin crash occurs.
That's true but even if experienced ones, we feel a bit of nervous. Just a little bit.
1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: help with stuck txid on: May 13, 2023, 10:22:59 AM
Low prio as per mempool is around 29 sat/vb and the medium-high is 31 sat/vb. So, that's close to your 21 sat/vByte.

But the thing here is, we don't know how long or when it shall reach that fee you've made. There's no option but just to wait until a miner confirms that.

Hopefully the fee goes lower with sats/vb and then it'll meet yours.
1959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do I keep crypto after buying it? on: May 13, 2023, 08:02:27 AM
I think many people have found their assets in trust wallets to be hacked, because soft wallets are an easy target for hackers. If someone does not have money to buy a hard wallet, then instead of a trust wallet, he can also use a mobile phone as a hard wallet. If he install any best soft wallet in this mobile and keep their assets in it and after that don't connect this mobile with internet.Only connect to the internet when withdrawing or depositing your assets.Normally keep this mobile offline.

It can be a great hard wallet for those who don't have the capital to buy a hard wallet and it can be much better and safer than any soft wallet. Here you can keep all your capital safe
They won't be targeted if they will use it correctly and won't just use it for transactions that makes their anonymity exposed. Like those airdrops where they'll use their wallet for sending gas fee, etc.

When someone uses this type of wallet, it's better not to do any outside transactions on it but only yours like transfers you do from wallet to wallet.

@OP as long as it's from a known exchange, you're okay doing transactions with them but you'll be required for KYC since you'll use a credit card. Well, even if you don't, you'll be subject to it. And when you're done buying there, withdraw it and just as what they've said, hold it on your hardware wallet if you got one but if you don't, a wallet where you hold the PKeys.
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: It was easy to know the SELL of this week with a simple chart analysis on: May 13, 2023, 06:10:09 AM
That's good if you've sold before the plummet and that's really gonna give you some pride on it. Well, keep on doing a good job and now you'll be looking for a nice reentry anytime from now on.

We're not always accurate when we predict the market with the chart analysis(TA) and we have to look also the side of fundamentals. Well, right now I guess that the fees have been also stopping this trend of plummeting.

And that's because the transactions have been dropping as well but it seems that the fees have gone low and this will make the demand higher again. We will see.
