Less than 10 hours to go, how exciting.

So those racks are for ten boards? I may consider further bidding on a set of ten if I get a rack to go with it.
I'm asking friedcat, but on a previous PM he replied me this:

Hi John,

They are not closed cases, but open sub-racks used on closed racks or open shelves. We would not recommend any end-users to buy them at their current version. Thanks.

Best regards,

friedcat

If you paid for the rack's shipping, I guess he could be fine in sending you one. I'm asking him that possibility.

open sub-racks - exactly what I need, if it in disassembled state then shipping can be easy. I will pay shipping no problem.  if I get 10 current blades, then I need rack for 12 including two from previous auction.

one thing bother me from previous auction. when last minutes approaching and people starting placing bids in fast pace, it can be a matter of seconds to place your bid over someones, and when you trying to do so, what you see?  ... you see this BS

Nope, unfortunately I can't as that's a feature of SMF. Only the admin can possibly change that I guess.

OP clock shows 9 hours left, while latest clock shows 8. It will definitely end up ugly.
Hmm.. the code used in both cases is the same. I see that the time is sync'ed up too.  Huh
On retrospect, something is wrong. I refreshed the page a couple of times and it showed +1 hours sometimes. I'll find a solution to it ..

I may have missed it in the OP - what is the exact UTC this auction ends? 48 hours starting from when?
watch the countdown: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=189248.0
I am watching the countdown. It is a gif hosted on a third-party server. There is no way of knowing if it is properly displayed/updated by your browser, or if it has been tampered with. What if the server is ddosed? What if I post ten seconds late, but claim that my browser showed there were 5 seconds left when I posted?

All this can lead to ugly disputes, and can be avoided by friedcat or john officially stating what time auction ends, as each post with the bid has the timestamp.

ah ok, now i understand what you mean.

Just to confirm (as the op stated), the auction will end in exactly 48 hours after it started - that is it started at April 27, 06:25:32 PM forum time and is supposed to end at April 29, 06:25:32 PM forum time. Forum time is roughly UTC, but due to the server lagging and such, the time is not exactly UTC. The forum's time will supersede in this case - bids are counted according to the posting timestamp.

The bot has been shut down in accordance with John's request. It was producing faulty bid tables. Sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully by the next auction, all the bugs will be ironed out.
Thanks again for the bot - it was a good first run!  Grin
I'll update the list now and answer all queries.

I wouldn't mind paying a little more in shipping to get one. It saves me the time of having to build something to hold these.

Okay, hopefully he comes online before this ends then. Thanks for enquiring!

PS: Hiroaki your last 2 bids are out.

Whoa, fpgaminer's script is auto updating!
heh  Tongue  If you go to http://bitcoin-talk-auctioneer.appspot.com/ you'll see that there are two ways to use the script.  If given a total quantity, and thread URL, it will scrap and try to figure out the bids itself.  Or you can just give it a manually assembled CSV list of bids, which it will sort and beautify.

For the automated scrapping, it strips all formatted text and quotes from a post, and then searches for bids that are on their own line.  Anything else is ignored (e.g. "my bid is 4@10" will be ignored).  Bids can also be cancelled if a user posts, for example, "cancel: 4@10" which cancels all of their previous bids matching that description.

Probably not great to discuss further here.  If you have any suggestions/comments (working on the blacklist stuff right now) feel free to post in its thread here.
Okay - will post and take a look there later.  Grin
