Considering that the mail box states "Hamburg, Germany" I would take a guess that these photos are not "on hand" photos taken within the US Tongue  --Be warned.

How much BTC on top of the order?
1963  Bitcoin / Hardware / [WTB] BFL ASIC Products or other ASIC Hardware on: September 29, 2013, 11:43:10 PM
So with difficulty going up I'm looking to see if anyone is wanting to selling their BFL ASIC's for a reasonable price. I've boughten 1 other BFL 5GH on these forums via paypal (seller wanted paypal over BTC) with no issues.

Tell me what hardware you have and what price your asking via PM's. Remember that Blades are currently 3.1BTC per GH, aka $34/Gh so I'm looking to buy products cheaper than that.
1964  Economy / Computer hardware / [Interest] Computer Hardware for BTC on: September 28, 2013, 09:42:17 PM
What kind of computer hardware would you guys like to see available on an online store (website) in exchange for BTC?

Or if not computer hardware, what other types of stuff would you like to see readily available for BTC?

I know there are already a good deal of BTC stores out there, but I'm just curious as to what people would actually buy with BTC instead of having to use cash or credit cards.
1965  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters | NanoFury NF1 | BPMC Red Fury? A List. on: September 28, 2013, 09:23:49 PM
My BEs have evolved to this:

The array consists of 70 devices with daisy-chained hubs hosted by a single USB 2.0 port on an old netbook that's running Windows 7 x86.  A BFL device is also in the mix (the netbook didn't like hosting it separately on its remaining available USB ports) and works just fine.  I decided to populate each hub with only 5 BEs, loading their respective 4A power bricks (which theoretically supports up to 8 BEs) at about 62.5% in an attempt to be within the peak efficiency envelope (around 50% load).  The array is mounted and fits nicely on a 9"x12" clear plastic clipboard.  The netbook draws 11W off the wall (120V AC) while mining.

What is your total power draw including the netbook, USB's and fan?

Seems like they are charging 0.13 BTC for a ASICMiner usb. They host it for 6 months and send you the BTC (i'm assuming) that it generates in that time. After the 6 months you have the option of having them send you the ASIC miner.

They use so little electricity that I don't think its worth having them hosted anywhere, and he will most likely just be running off with your BTC.

non powered usb works...

had a MAX of 6 on 1 unpowered USB

Ok thanks!

How much and what type of ram would you suggest? How much wattage does your rig pull from the wall? and is the 7950 currently the best $/hashes or $/wattage?

Thanks for your help Smiley
(Going by eBay pricing)
Of the current gen, the 7950 is easily the best Price/Hash.
Of the current gen, the 7790 and 7990 both have a higher Hash/Watt (but MUCH less Price/Hash, so I wouldn't consider them)

Previous gens have some good stats, but also drawbacks. 5830, 5850, 6850, and 6950 are very cheap and produce decent hashrates, but not very power-efficient and may have compatibility issues with certain drivers.

tl;dr the 7950 is probably the best bet, being most balanced of the lot and should play well with current drivers.

EDIT: For RAM, I've had a couple rigs with 2 GB DDR2 that were fine, but it's generally advised to have 4 GB.

Ok thank you spiral. Would you mind also recommending a motherboard/cpu and PSU for me? I know the electricity cost of these scrypt miners (or GPU mining in general) is very important for efficiency.

Edit: Assuming that I go down the 7950 route, maybe about 4 of them to start, but it'd be nice if the mobo could expand to like 6+ later if I wanted. Also do i need powered PCI-E risers?
1970  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Raspberry Pi USB hub with jala on: September 14, 2013, 10:53:56 PM
Hello, I currently have 2 Jalapenos running on a raspberry pi without any problems. My question is that if I want to add another jalapeno, do I need to get a powered usb hub or can it just be a hub that splits one of my pi usb ports into a hub? The reason why I ask this is because the jalapenos already have their own power supply, so it would seem although I wouldn't need the usb hub to be powered....but any insight would be much appreciated!

Hello,
Since there is no "hardware" subforum under the altcoins topics I thought i'd ask this question here. I'm looking to possibly build a scrypt miner, probably for LTC or w/e the highest transfer rate to BTC per day would be (IE Franko or Anon coin etc). However, I've noticed that the power usage cuts down quite a bit on the revenue I would generate.

With that being said, can anyone give me an example build of a PC with graphics cards that would be efficient at mining scrypt coins? And estimate how much wattage it would use total? I've looked at the LTC mining hardware page, but I still don't know the most efficient builds in terms of initial cost, operation cost and hashing power (maybe even throw in some resell value Tongue  ).

I appreciate any help/advice or any path that people could point me in. Especially if you have an altcoin miner yourself Smiley I also love photos of the miners if you havent already posted it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7216.new#new

are you using Cgminer or bfgminer? Can you SSH into your minepeon and view the miner software status? Does the miner software recognize the devices?

Cool product, but very disappointing price. I won't be buying any of these at this price.

How many of these devices will you have for sale initially and how many are you guys able to make per day/week?

I hoping for $30-35/GH, guess we will find out tomorrow Smiley
